I was frightened of the concept of the LBT tv series, pretty much I dreaded the concept of a cheesy almost Barney-like representation of my favorite childhood classic.
Thanks to LandbeforetimeLover's website, I finally broke my phobia and gave into curiosity....
some of you were saying this was a lower step down from the sequels? Dear me! I was actually pleased with what I saw! Granted the voices were way different , and well... I still cringed at the singing parts. If the TV series is this decent, then the sequels must be some kind of animated masterpiece!
I mean seriously, even though yes, it was the equivalent of a normal Saturday morning cartoon, I was kind of dazzled by the amount of detail put into it. they simply don't make cartoons like that anymore, and the 80's child in me was kind of reborn!
The stories were your typical children's adventure book style, which is something I honestly don't mind, just as long as it included logic and some deep sense of reality (danger) and I thought it clever that Chomper (that is his name, right?) could communicate with both sides of the food chain.
I do believe I've gained a level in being a LBT fan, and with a whole new level of respect for the series.
So yes, the sequels are definitely on my list for watching in the not so distant future!
