I like the sound of what it might be, but I'm not sure how true it is. The only place on the internet I've seen it mentioned aside from here is wikipedia. Has it been confirmed anywhere? (I've done Google searches and can't find anything related to LBT14 other than what links are already on the wikipedia page.)

General Land Before Time / Regarding ANY LBT 14 Topics

I removed those new cast members from the Wikipedia page since there's no real proof yet. I honestly doubt Jim Cummings would voice Grandpa Longneck, also.

Most of them were believable, but I saw no reason for it to be there if there's no proof yet.

Unfortunately, that torrent link given above is not working. :(
It was posted nearly five years ago, so I can assume that's why it's not working.

LBT Fanfiction / Something I wrote last night
« on: May 28, 2015, 01:43:07 PM »
So I was bored last night and happened to find my VHS copy of the original Land Before Time. When I got to near the end of the movie, the idea of this somewhat long one-shot came to mind during the Sharptooth fight scene.
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11277423/1/The...lternate-ending

Now it's the first LBT fanfic I've written in years so it may be a bit rushed even though I just took a scene from the movie (nearly all the dialogue included) and put it into written form and made a few changes to it. But I am content with the final result over it. (That was my intention as I watched the first movie for the first time in years, not me being lazy since this is supposed to be an alternate ending of sorts.)

I just gave it a T-rating to be safe even though nothing is violently described. It's more the idea of what happens than anything that I went with a T-rating; it's a bit dark, so figured it'd be best to go with a T-rating rather than K+ rating on fanfic.net.

Land Before Time Captions / Cera crying caption
« on: April 14, 2015, 05:12:38 PM »
Cera just found out she won't have much of a role in LBT14. Haha.

(Also, what movie is this shot from? I don't re-call Cera ever crying in the sequels.)

Sound Off! / What are you listening to?
« on: March 20, 2015, 12:30:39 PM »
Been listening to "Day of the Dead" and "How We Roll" by Hollywood Undead over and over for a while.

My two favorite Hollywood Undead songs, but considering the lyricsóin the case of "How We Roll"; "Day of the Dead" is just a rather dark song, even for Hollywood UndeadóI won't post links to them here.

However, since no more LBT movies will be created, a little more closure for the names would do wonders.
I don't have much to add to about the naming of characters since I'm bad at thinking of original names, but there is a 14th The Land Before Time moving coming near the end of the year. There's some info about it here - http://actorsentertainment.com/actorse/act...ristie-philips/

Felix Miguel Avitia also ventured into voice over acting for the first time when he was cast to star in “The Land Before Time XIV” movie as “Little Foot” set to release late 2015 in which he also sings.

Character Discussion / What to do about Chomper's future?
« on: March 02, 2015, 05:31:31 PM »
A G-rating doesn't necessarily mean that a movie can't be dark. A few good examples of darker movies with a G rating are The Land Before Time, the first two All Dogs Go to Heaven movies, The Fox and the Hound, and Alpha and Omega 4: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave. (Some of these I am surprised aren't PG though.)

And that's incorrect. All of the Ice Age movies are PG. You may be thinking of the Rio movies that are rated G.

But to stay on topic, considering how it's a movie, it doesn't have to be realistic as to what happens to Chomper's diet when he grows up. Movies are rarely about realism but just, in the end no matter how you look at it, to entertain people not teach them about the subject. But I could see the scenario of Chomper hunting and eating dinosaurs outside of the great valley to sustain himself happening if they ever do grow up in the movies.

It could have been Mo's character model being used again to lower the budget. In the sequels to Alpha and Omega, those are quite common due to budget restrictions. All of the sequel-only characters are based on an earlier character in some way or another due to the low budget of the sequels. (Doesn't effect the quality of the animation any in A&O4, it in fact improved over even in the first movie.)

Some are even direct re-colors of characters from earlier sequels, such as these two:

Claudette from A&O2, 3, and 4: http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2014053...ps.com-1630.jpg

Magril from A&O3: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/alphaa...=20140515181803

The only difference is these two have the same appearance, just difference colors. Mo and the look-a-likes in the later sequels have the same color, but I doubt it is him.

Silver Screen / Do you hate the Fox and the Hound?

Do you think the ending of the Fox and the Hound was Disney's greatest letdown EVER?
Not at all. Even before I learned my preference of sadder movies, music, etc. I never had a problem with the ending and wish more animated films would end like Fox and the Hound, Alpha & Omega, The Land Before Time, etc.

Emotional or sad endings, but in a good way. All three of the movies I mentioned could have taken different routes that are sad in a more negative away.

Fox and the Hound: Tod and Cooper dying to a bullet like they did in the novel.

The Land Before Time: There were plans for a different ending that implied the GOF had died and were in heaven when they arrived at what we thought was the greay valley, if I remember right. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

Alpha & Omega*: There weren't any plans for this, but imagine Kate dying instead of having a near-death experience similar to Tod in Fox and the Hound. (Don't forget, A&O and Fox & the Hound have the same writers, producers, animators, etc. as the creators of A&O left Disney over disagreements with how the films should be made and started their own studio continuing the old Disney style mixed with CGI rather than what Pixar and Disney do now.)

However, there are two deaths in Alpha and Omega 4: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave, as well as it taking a much darker turn than the first three films ever did that makes me like it better than any other animated movie I've seen [edit] not since 2010 but in my life, actually [edit], even the first Alpha & Omega movie itself and The Land Before Time.

Now don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against killing off main characters (my T- and M-rated Alpha & Omega fanfics show that quite often with the lead characters from each of the movies) but I don't hate the ending of Fox and the Hound either.

*Assuming anyone reading this has seen Alpha & Omega, that is. It's still one of my favorite animated movies, as are the second and fourth films, and it ends similar to Fox & the Hound in terms of a mix of an emotional and good ending.

(I don't think I've ever written this long of a post in the five years I've had an account here, haha.)

If I remember right, The Gang of Five is an official term for the five main characters. It may even be mentioned on the movies' official website (can't confirm that, I haven't gotten on it in at least three or four years).

General Land Before Time / Instrumentals of the songs?
« on: February 20, 2015, 10:56:53 AM »
I know that it can be done in programs such as Wavepad Sound Editor and Audacity. I've gotten near perfect results in the past by using the Remove Vocals filter.

I'm not that great with either beyond mixing audio together, but it is possible to remove the vocals of a song in those and other sound-editing programs.

Land Before Time TV Series (2007) / Are Screech and Thud brothers?
« on: February 19, 2015, 01:29:21 PM »
I would say they are brothers. People (or raptors, in Screech and Thud's case) don't have to look anything alike to be brothers.

I'm a good example. In terms of physical appearance (not personality), my brother and I are different in every way.

General Land Before Time / Which villains do you think will reform?
« on: February 19, 2015, 09:31:00 AM »
My reason for Strut is a bit simple, really. It's just that, if I remember correctly, Strut seemed to feel a bit of regret about following Ozzy's orders. I could see him becoming a protagonist rather than an antagonist if he ever does appear again. (Assuming they aren't dead after Chomper's parents went after them.)

I would say Strut and Thud.

Thud, well, it's because of how he didn't betray Chomper and the others' position in the TV series when he could've after Chomper helped free him from the rock slide. It's that ending to that episode that made me respect him back in 2010 and still do, even five years later.

I'll post my reasoning for Strut tomorrow since there's a movie on TV I want to catch the last ten minutes of.

General Land Before Time / LBT 13
« on: February 18, 2015, 11:45:33 PM »
I haven't watched it in years, but the last time I did (probably 2010), I remember enjoying it a lot. But of course, after how bad Alpha and Omega 3: The Great Wolf Games was (it's really the only bad installment in the A&O series), I don't think I could call any prior or subsequent animated films I've watched or ones I will watch "bad" anymore.

But that aside, I could probably say I like all of the LBT movies, even the thirteen one.

Well, I'm inactive for a while and come back to this news, haha.

Anyway, based on how Alpha & Omega 4: The Legend of the Saw Tooth Cave took a bit longer to produce than the first two sequels to Alpha & Omega and was a huge improvement over all of the original films, I have a lot of hope that LBT14 will be a great movie since it's been almost 8 years since the last LBT movie was made and this is just announced not too long ago.

Eight year wait for any official announcement and hopefully it'll be worth our wait. Also, even though LBT is no longer my primary interest (that's Aliens and the Alpha & Omega movies) I will watch this as soon as it's released. And hopefully that we do see TV-series only characters like Ruby, Red Claw, Screech, Thud, and of course another film featuring Chomper finally.
