Title: The Music
Post by: NeoGenesis005 on February 11, 2009, 06:37:36 PM
I am pretty sure that we never talked about the Music used for the LBT Sequels and Series.  In my personal opinion I feel that there are certain kinds of Music that can also go well with the LBT productions.

For instants when there's a Sharptooth Event I think the best type of music would be Rock (Alternative, Metal, etc.).  Why I think so, is because Sharpteeth are Vicious Creature Rock Music would fit them perfectly.

And if there is a event where one of the main characters are in trouble for example Cera going down the River from Movie 4 Journey through the Mist I say the music should be more like a Walts/Orchestra type of Music like from Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl  I'll give you all 2 of each website links to illustrate what I'm talking about.

(note: The Kind of Rock Music played for F-zero and Sonic Adventure is the same type of Rock Music Play I'm talking about.)

Rock Music was even played in one of the PS1 games of LBT if I can remember it was The Great Valley Race.

(:yes I still say the original Music for LBT is Great it don't need improvement).

But enough of my opinion if you guys have to chose what kind of Music should be played what would it be?

I'd prefer more rock songs in LBT, but mostly just for background music, especially AC/DC. I know it'll never happen, but still.

If LBT changes its music from purely orchestral through, I think it may lose its image or its target audience because I don't honestly think some parent is going to want their five year old listening to death metal during a chase scene.  Leave that for anime and older audiences.  LBT music is actually in a decent spot because its simple, like the audience its intended for.

Your right in away certain kinds of Music can maybe to much for the young children to handle but the parents don't alway have to rely on T.V. to raise their children they can do the job themselves.

Music is very much a matter of taste. Personally I prefer the traditional instrumental music in LBT over any of the music based heavily on modern electronic instruments which I think don't really fit to LBT.
I realize just how much of a matter of taste it is when looking at the music videos. Some of them come with a mixing of images and music which I really can't link to each other at all. This is not to berate the videos, but just an example of how much (same as in case of fanfictions and crossing overs) it is a matter of individual taste and perception.

Oh I agree entirely; parents need to do their jobs.  However, metal would not fit the style of LBT, and nor would any rock song, sometimes standard fare for "chase music".
