Oh my god, that is so touching! So...  Sad, too.....
"And the Most High said unto Moses, Ahayah-Asher-Ahayah.  And he said, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel, Ahayah hath sent me unto you...  This is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."

Awesome :yes
Do you too like the LBT goodbye scenes Iris? Many of them are among my favorite LBT scenes. I guess I have a fondness for sentimental scenes and they are usually accompanied by beautiful music.
Anyway, the drawing is really pretty. I like the effect you created in the pencil version by letting the background's strokes all run towards one point somewhere behind Guido's back. Nice butterfly too (though it might want to be careful not to come too close to Guido's mouth :lol).
Is it a freehand drawing or was there a similar image in the movie?

Yes I like the goodbye scenes, they are touching. Freehand actually.. I did have Guido in front of me, but just to know the basics. Yea, I tried to make it have a sort of time-effect in the pencil drawing. And same thing with the photoshop one..

The butterfly, it's gonna be my mark..  :^.^:

You did Guido well.  A very touching scene with the expression on his face and his waving to someone.  Hope you continue drawing.

They are very nice, Iris, they really are, yep yep yep!  :yes
Amazing that you've made them using (now I don't recall the english word for it :P: ) "oil/wet/aquarell colors to make it. I would not be able to do that myself!
Good work!  :^.^:

I forgot to say that the big one was too big for my scanner so I made 2 scans and 'fit' them together :p

Nice work Iris! :)
Just as in case with any other form of art practice will before long make you like your own work too. What colors did you use? Acryl colors? It would be awesome to have another artist working with acryl colors here (and you are in a good position to work with acryl colors. They are quite cheap in Holland, at least compared to the German prices).

I like the painting. Interesting doing it as a painting instead of a drawing.  Which do you prefer, to paint or draw?

Draw.. Painting is SUCH A MESS. lol.  Yes acryl colors indeed. But it was at school only i fear. I could go on with it, but then someone has to GIVE me the stuff, cus I won't buy em myself(want to save money for later).

In case of LBT motives painting is more difficult and more complex, but a painting can be much more "rewarding" than a drawing.
Would we remember Rembrandt if he had used the pencil only instead of the brush?

Totally, Iris.  Those aren't bad at all!  ...Why put yourself down so much, sis?  You're drawing and painting LBT stuff better than I can!
Seriously, though.  Good job!  Keep drawing.  I'd rather draw myself...  That reminds me...  Perhaps I should ehh, resume, my drawing...  It's been about a week since I touched it.  LOL, on a side note, you ARE a fireball at this place!  ...I'm kinda burned out, to be honest with you.

...Heh...  For a time, we had the same number of posts... B) *musing*

Keep going, Iris!  Keep going!
