Hello:
I was wondering the same, how is that possible? :o  it really makes me think not to risk your real account Malte, to avoid problems with that account too. But then, how can we fiond out if there was not a decision from higher commands of invisionfree?

Strangely enough the message I posted there seems to have been deleted and the same goes for the account I created to post that message
However, at the moment there is a message there posted by Kacie herself (who told me that a previous account of hers had been deleted). If her question is deleted too without any answer this does not exactly cast a positive light on the support of invisionfree <_<
I just can they to that, that it looks like someone is going to delete accounts on the z7 or s7 servers. Maybe a hacker or something like that. That would be bad.

I wonder if it is a hacker, or someone high up on those boards is doing it for some reason, or company policy.

I don't think a hacker would waste their time with something like invisionfree.  Not a real one with any skills anyway. Bad hackers like to do things like attempt to gain access to highly secured infrastructures (which invisionfree is not) and hack programs and files so they can obtain things illegally without paying.  No one would waste their time with a small server like invisionfree's 7th that hosts only a few thousand forums.

As for Darkhououmon's problem, it would be of great assistance if I could see what error message, if any she gets when trying to log on.

You tried to access the address http://s7.invisionfree.com/thegangoffive, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working.
Check that the setup of any Internet security software is correct and does not interfere with ordinary Web browsing.
If you are behind a firewall on a Local Area Network and think this may be causing problems, talk to your systems administrator.
Try pressing the F12 key on your keyboard and disabling proxy servers, unless you know that you are required to use a proxy to connect to the Internet. Reload the page.

That is the error message she always gets.

There's her problem.  s7 is not technically the correct server, it has been a redirect for a while.  She needs to be using z7 in its place.

If you posted it in the wrong section, they'll lock it, delete it, etc.  Also, you posted a lot of personal stuff (IP Addresses) and that's a pretty big no-no.  Did you actually post this in the forums?

As much as I hate to say this, the issue is with Kacie's computer...not invisionfree.  If it was a big invision issue, a lot more of us would have the same problems.  I don't pretend to know what's wrong (because I don't) but its on her end.  ISP provider, web browser, something....

Agreed.  Is there any way I could contact her besides a PM?  Would someone please PM me her email address or something so I can get in contact with her?

I want to suggest something to her, but I don't believe it would be appropriate for me to discuss it in detail on the board.  I don't exactly want to teach a server bypass hack to every soul that comes across this thread.  If I taught it openly, it would be impossible to ban anyone who saw this thread.  I believe it's currently the only way for Darkhououmon to connect.

I want this to be the last solution however.  I don't want to teach anyone server bypass techniques if I don't have to.  First, I need to know if Darkhououmon is accessing the net via wireless and I need to know her ISP type (ie. cable, dialup, dsl).  Her first step should be to deactivate any firewall that is currently active, including the windows firewall and any third party firewalls she may have installed.  If she has more than one computer, she should attempt to connect with the other one.  If she only uses wireless, she should attempt to connect via wired to see if that works.  If she uses a wireless router, she should go to the start menu, click run, type "cmd" and press enter.  Then she should type in "ipconfig" and the number that comes up under "default gateway" she should type into her web browser in order to access her routers control panel.  Then she should check to see if any types of sites are being blocked and if she's using a static IP.  If she is using a wireless connection, she should repair that connection and try again.  There are some viruses that will take a site in your favorites list and make it impossible for your computer to connect to that site.  I don't believe that's the case however.  It's most likely an ISP issue.  If she uses comcast or verizon internet service, she should reset her modem/router by simply unplugging it and waiting 50 seconds before plugging it back in again.  I can't tell you how many times I've had to do that because my stupid internet wasn't working right.

Okay temporarily back on. My dad suggested I use AOL to try to access this site, as it is our second ISP. Our primary one is Prolog. It seems I can access this site just fine with AOL. But not with Prolog, so that's where the problem lies, probably.

I'll make this clear. It is not a problem with my computer. If it was, shouldn't I still be able to get on using the Wii and Clint's computer? Both are unable to connect to the website, leading me to believe it isn't a problem with this single computer at all.

As for the post/account deletion, that is a misunderstanding. There were two support boards they had provided, both with a similar appearance. I had tried to log into the wrong one, which gave the illusion that my account was deleted. It's still there, Malte's account is still there, the posts are all still there. And they haven't been locked or moved.

Anyway I should probably contact Prolog somehow and tell them what's going on. Until that problem is fixed, I can only get on Gang of Five via America Online. Good thing my dad didn't get rid of it yet.

Well, it's good to have you back at in any case. Hope contacting Prolog goes well, unless someone here can think of something first.

I wish I had brought this issue up with my father earlier. If I had, I would have been able to regain access to this board much quicker. I have contacted Prolog and am awaiting a response from them. Until then I can at least connect using AOL. It's better than having no connection to this site at all.

I wonder what the problem is, if they are blocking the boards due to complaints or it's some sort of odd occurrence  thing.  The only other idea I have is maybe if there is some sort of free isp you can use to connect.  But those are often a hassle to use, for various reasons.

Could be just technical difficulties. Maybe a fallen powerline?

I'm no expert but the only things I think it could be is maybe some complaint or some other reason that area is blocked, or some connection that connects between the z7 areas on the net the isp.  Not sure if that is possible since if one way was blocked or down wouldn't the net just reroute the traffic to another way like folks detour if one way of getting somewhere in a car is blocked?

Did you try renewing your IP?  That might help.  It might be invisionfree itself that's not allowing you to connect because of your IP.  Naturally, your IP changed when you switched back to AOL.
