Just finished watching The Day The Earth Stood Still. The original, of course, not the godawful remake starring Keanu Reeves. For a 50s sci-fi movie, it was surprisingly intelligent and not too hammy! Manly because it didn't rely too much on special effects, which in the film, consisted solely of Gort's heat-ray and the spaceship taking off, both of which only happened near the beginning and end of the film.

I'm currently watching Muppets From Space on The Hub channel. They're going to show it again tomorrow too, speaking of which. This is a huge surprise for me, since I haven't seen the Muppets since I was still in high school during my sopphmore year. The movie I saw at that time was Muppet Treasure Island on Cartoon Network and it was really amazing as well as outrageously hilarious. The biggest part of this "surprise" that they're doing this before my birthday in June next month (another early birthday present, besides my new black Nintendo Wii that I got from my dad). Needless to say, I'm really psyched about this.
