General Land Before Time / Regarding ANY LBT 14 Topics

So the film is retaining it's 2D animation, that's really cool. Not a lot of shows or animated movies are doing that these days.

General Land Before Time / Being a Yellowbelly
« on: April 09, 2015, 01:17:23 AM »
I really hope the herd of yellow bellies from LBT 13 were the only ones that act like that. I seriously can't believe the entire species being that incompetent.

I have the same exact philosophy about how the series makes out sharpteeth in general, I doubt all are not bright. I mean look at Sharpteeth from the first film. That's another debate we can have about sharpteeth on another thread.

General Land Before Time / All About The Land Before Time XIV

I thought it was done years ago. Then I noticed older TV series being brought back, shows that stopped producing new episodes around the same time TLBT was still making films and before the TV series for TLBT came out.

I had some hope, but I never mentioned it, since I was kind of busy with life. I'm excited this is happening.

Considering that it's been over 9 months since the last time anyone posted in this topic (and ten days short of a full year since anyone posted in the RP itself), I think it's safe to say that this RP has quietly been discontinued. Just as well for me, as I'm no longer willing to devote any time to an RP. If people are still interested in the idea behind this particular RP, I would recommend a reboot. (I'm sure there are some newer members who would be interested in trying something like this.)

If I remember correctly, this RP originally started back in mid-2009, so to see it last as long as it did, almost five years, is actually quite remarkable, in my opinion.

It likely has looking at the lack of activity, but I have not seen any signs it's been discontinued. It's unfortunate, but at least it lasted as long as it did. A reboot would be interesting.

I have to ask, but where are we? I'm kind of lost as to where my character is in the story. Any information on what's going on, send me a PM. I'm ready to get posting once more.

Okay, after careful reviewing, I discovered I stayed in the valley. Dang, it's been a while since I've posted anything. 2012, :o Well I hope to change that.

Sue Ellen. She's tough and boy she proved that several seasons back, including the first one. I don't watch the show a lot though, but I do watch some episodes here and there, being a moderator of a site dedicated to the show.

I don't use my real name on FB, unless I'm addressing someone or something important. I'm Caesar La Rock (which isn't my real name) on FB.

You can't be too careful will all of these crazy looney tunes running around on FB. I've seen so many of them and you would be shocked how much trouble some go through to get to others.

FB is also a place where people do show their true colors as I've been finding out for the last couple of years.

I was referring to Joseph's comment.
I apologize for that.

General Land Before Time / Does Chomper have any siblings?
« on: February 25, 2015, 08:41:14 PM »
Chomper was probably in the same situation Littlefoot was in as a hatchling. A single egg surviving and their family's last chance for the future.

Considering that Jurassic World and Land Before Time are of different audience types, for the most part, I doubt that Jurassic World has much to do with it, other than that maybe they thought that the timing might help their OWN marketing.   I doubt they would care otherwise.
Who says I was referring to Jurassic Park? They've been planning on a fourth film for years, so that was going to happen anyway. I was referring to other cartoons that concluded years ago.

The Fridge / Arthur

I thought Ladonna's character was okay, though she is a motormouth. Of course we all have that one friend who is. Her trying to fit in with everyone in Elwood City was also a bit jumpy, but the gang has grown to like her. Bud has gained a lot of popularity and I like him as well.

I do and I'm currently an admin for the Arthur Wiki. I'm essentially the only active veteran user from the site. I made my first edit on the site on December 10th, 2010, just eight days shy from my birthday.

I roamed the site a few times for a couple of months prior to making my first edit. I was surprised to not see a lot of characters from the show on the wiki.

After my debut, I changed that very quickly. Aside from all the obstacles that took place, the site has come a long way from what it was before. The show itself is on it's 18th season and will be going on into it's 19th.

1988 Theatrical Release / I was wondering, should having it turn out that
« on: February 24, 2015, 02:45:47 AM »
It's way too late to change the first film. The first film came out almost 27 years ago. You also have to consider, back then no one knew there would be a sequel at all.

Point is, it would make no sense to change what happened in the first film. What happened to Littlefoot's mother was pretty much written in cement, long ago.

I admittedly have mixed feelings about it, namely because it's been so long since the last one. So to suddenly have another movie seems strange.

But part of me does feel that they wouldn't be making the effort if they didn't want to at least try something new, so we'll have to see.

(Unless this is all just part of the marketing for Jurassic World, which I wouldn't really have a problem with either).
A lot of franchises are making a comeback lately, especially in these last few years. I kind of expected this to happen, because of that reason.

General Land Before Time / The plated sharptooth
« on: February 07, 2015, 02:52:24 AM »
I never really thought much about it, but now that I look back on it, I think he is a younger sharptooth and showed a lot in the film.

I mean he was able to take down both of Chomper's parents with ease. Usually when it's two against one, you're outnumbered and screwed at that point, unless your Steven Segal.

Chomper's parents are likely older and aren't able to fight off other sharpteeth as much as they use too in their younger days. That's my opinion on the matter.

It will be interesting if the Brandon Michael DePaul reprises his role as Shorty or if Elizabeth Daily does the role.  This movie is going to get very interesting.

38
I feel that the sharpteeth in the tenth movie could've been left out. It was almost as if they were rushing to add a sharptooth fight scene in that film, before the climax took place.

On the subject of Yellowbellies, they could of been better utilized compared to what we saw in the thirteenth film. There was a lot of missed opportunities with them.

39
It's way too early to tell what will be done about Chomper. He only appears in the T.V. series. As for whether they will bring him in for the next film, or any reference to him, remains to be seen.

1988 Theatrical Release / I think this "uncut version" obsession
« on: January 12, 2015, 02:49:39 AM »
I've seen countless subjects about this brought up and I agree, this is an issue that is basically beating a dead horse. Don Bluth stated the footage is not available, so that's that.
