The fans didn't care about it enough to talk about it?

Yes, i swear, I am not making that up. I remember a long time ago I talked to a member from inleh-rah's forum and whenever I brought up the subject he just rejected it and said there was no reason to bring it up. There's a large part of the fandom that will make art of the film, characters, quote etc. but whenever you get into a discussion about the themes of the movie and mention the book they tend to shy away. At least this has happened to me anyway.

That's a bit strange.

I know. I think the watership fandom is really messed up. I wish so many didn't hate so hard on the series as well.

Probably the ending scene with the final battle between woundwort and bigwig. It gets pretty intense, I remember I played some of at a party and people thought it was so cool. I also like, for the some reason, the part where they have to cross the pond to avoid the dog. (Well that does it then!) Also the scene with the quote "The council were merciful!" was very well done. it's scary through blackvar's reaction, and the captain's subtle actions.

  3. When did you first read Tales from Watership Down?

  6. What would you change about Watership Down? The movie and the tv series.
  7. Who is your least favorite Watership Down character?
  8. Who is your favorite Watership Down creature?
  9. Who is your least favorite Watership Down creature?
10. Which is your favorite episode from the tv series?

Is that enough Watership Down questions? :smile  :angel

Also, who is that in your signature? He reminds me of Chris "Con Artist"

Who you are seeing in the signature is Chow yun fat and his character from the movie "A better tomorrow 2." Now, onto your watership questions:

1. I first found out about watership when an old friend of mine simply showed me an image of a crazed, blood covered rabbit and gave me a name. I can't give a date.

2. I was able to read watership about a month after I saw the movie.

3. About a year ago, I received Tales of watership down as a present for christmas, and read it under a week flat. (too longer due to being busy)

4. I was able to watch watership down whenever I looked up it up online. I originally watched on youtube.

5. I don't remember. I remember taking a while to watching more of it because I was put off by some of the things it had.

6. For the movie, I would have taken out the meaningless bits with the the barn fight with the rats, and mixed the scene with violets death with meeting the mouse, then have a scene for the things that went on on the boat. For the show, I would have added Woundwort's council and want it to end right instead of the rushed ending.

7. None.

8. The dog. He was just so hateful and insane for no real reason!

9. I can't say.

10. As was said, Homecoming.

11. For El-ahrairah's bit, "The story of the terrible hay-making" was just awesome. I liked how he transformed in front of the rabbits and tricked them into thinking he was someone different, and the ending of the chapter is just so dark, it's great. For the watership bits, well, as I have said, I think the whole thing with with the new doe (it's been a while since i read the sequel again) could have been fleshed out and turned into something better. But I will say my favorite chapter was "Campion" as it further touched on woundwort's influence and had hazel and campion meeting again since the events of the first book. It also talks about wide patrols and efrafa and whatnot. That's good.

12. Watership Down.

That's how I first saw Watership Down, on youtube, because a friend on another said to watch the film, and she was right, it was very interesting to the end.

Anyway, which do you like better. Watership Down or The Land Before Time? If you can't answer this, I understand.

Watership down. It creates a unique world based off of our own and does so many things with it.

Have you heard of Animals of Farthing Wood? Its alot like Watership Down, only its more about foxes than rabbits.

Its really good, and you can watch it here. http://www.youtube.com/user/Rebseh#g/u

The first 13 episodes are uploaded as one video or three seperate, but for seasons 2 and 3, they're uploaded as seperate videos. But the major difference is, there isn't as much blood as Watership Down, only very rarely, but books are a different story.

If you want to watch them in order, start at the bottom of the playlist and go to the top. They're in order by how they happen. Episode 1 part 1, part 2, part 3, Episode 2 part 1, etc.

EDIT: It starts to get better around episode six, but you should start at episode one (if you do watch it), so you know what's going on.

Okay. I was just wondering.

Besides LBT and Watership Down, what movies do you like? Animation, CGI and Live Action.

I like action movies, thriller movies, and thinker films. Examples would be any film made by John Woo (at least any film he directed in china), Die hard, The shining, Alien/Aliens, some other films...

I haven't seen them, but the newer movie kind of got me interested in his character. Only just a little.
