I already know that most hate the fact that Blackberry is a female in the tv series and that is why I'm asking. Which do you prefer, the male or female Blackberry?

Answer to first question: Neither. Woundwort is the driving force for the third half of watership. He is a good character (although a bit one dimensional) in the third season.

I hate it when people bring this up, because it doesn't matter. Nobody would have complained if Blackberry was a SHE in the movie. Period. Because all that matters for that character is that they're the idea thinker. The Series blackberry didn't have that trait, so that's probably why it was extremely noticeable. If you ask me, I would prefer blackberry being a doe, because then it wouldn't make the goals of our heroes so simpleminded. (OBTAIN DOES, REPRODUCE)

Your probably right there. And I have to agree with you, I do prefer the doe Blackberry, and I think she did do something good thinking in the series, just not as much in the movie.

Anyway, do you know why Bigwig, the weasel, Fiver, Primrose, Moss, Pipkin, Keehar, Hannah, Yona, Hawkbit, Darklink, Clover and Dandelion look so different in season 3 than in seasons one and two?

Because that's when the series decided to darken it's mood.
