The sooner he is detained the sooner the offworlders will leave once the current school year is finished, as  Headmaster Dumbledore has informed me, the exchange is only for the current year and the students were originally supposed to visit a different school but there was a last minute scheduling issue that made it impossible to attend the school as planned.
