Title: Forum Newsletter - June 2020
Post by: Mumbling on June 01, 2020, 03:11:13 AM
Hello everyone  :rainbowwave

By now you should have received the latest edition of our Newsletter! After a bit of a flawed start last month, we think we've got it all figured out for future editions. Still, for those of you who still did not receive it (make sure your email address is up to date), and for newer members who want to read up on old editions, we've decided to add the newsletter in a separate post on the forum as well.

My thanks go out to @Anagnos , @OwlsCantRead and @StardustSoldier who basically compiled the entire newsletter this month. You guys have been a great help  :wub

So without further ado, please find the June 2020 Newsletter attached to this post.

Don't mention it, Mumbling. You're supposed to help your friends when they need it and making the newsletter was actually rather fun. I wouldn't mind doing it again in the future if you ever need assistance. :)

Hmm it seems like the email version didn't have the images on it for some reason. Good job on this one though guys!  :chompysmile

Hm, that's weird, because I did receive the email with images. It could be your mail client automatically hiding images from an untrusted source, maybe?

And yeah sorry I'm late but I did enjoy working on this as well! Though it was originally to cover a shortfall I don't mind continuing on.

Yep! Sadly all @mail addresses automatically bounce so we have to do them 1 by 1 after sending out the main batch. Didn't get around to that this time! Hope to do that this weekend!

understood.
Is that some kind of bug so you have to manually send emails individually? That's just some manual labor. :O

Yeah, not a bug but all @mail and @gmx addresses see our massive email lists as spam and do not allow us to send those emails like that, so we have to do them manually! Manual labor indeed, but the same goes for the main list of addresses so it's not a big deal - I just have to remember to do it :D
