lol I just found the last missile pack. It was the one where you had to backtrack to Kraids lair with power bombs. I can't believe i forgot about that one. Every time i first enter Kraids lair i remember that i have to come back to get the missiles but it always ends up slipping my mind. Good thing i copied my file at Ridley so i could include it into my last-minute items i get. So my final time was 2:08 with 100%. And to think i was about ready to give up and look through the old nintendo power magazine to see where it was.

1988 Theatrical Release / Most heart-wrenching moment?
« on: August 21, 2007, 01:36:57 AM »
Well i voted for the whole movie, but other than that, i would have to say that it would be the score as well. As Petrie stated the music conveys the mood that is on-screen.  If there was the wrong choice of music or no music at all, the scene wouldn't be as "heart-wrenching".

Actually, Metroid Zero Mission is mauling me about now. I'm doing a 100% hard mode run. I've gotten all the way to Mecha Ridley, but I can never beat him, and the rare time I do, I can never get to the escape ship.
I'm stuck on the same part except that i only have 15% to get the 8th and final ending, though its really tough. I can only take about 2-4 hits from mecha ridley and i don't have the screw attack to destroy the missiles. Not to mention i only have 4 missiles, 2 super missiles and 1 1/2 energy tanks. I've beaten mecha ridley a couple of times, only to be killed by those darn space pirates at the end.

I just finished Super Metroid and got 99% in 2:10. I can't seem to remeber where the last missile pack is, argh.

Hahaha, yeah, the mockball is a classic. It made the Spore Spawn battle last about 5 seconds.
I can literally beat Kraid in Zero Mission in 3 seconds. :lol

I just downloaded Super Metroid on my Wii this morning and i love it. It reminds me of the old days when i played it on the SNES. I still have to get used to the controls again though, I'm so used playing the game on a keyboard because i've played it on an emulator for over five years. I did surprise myself though that i was able to preform the mockball my first try and get the Super Missiles early.

I've never played much sonic as i never had a genesis and i've never bothered playing any of the newer sonic games. Just recently i downloaded sonic 1 & 2 and enjoyed them.

I've never actually played the games on CDi but i've seen videos and read about them. I wouldn't of even wanted to play it if i had the chance.

I liked the first one the best. After the 3rd one they all started to go downhill. I've always hated how when your about to win, someone lands on the chance space and swaps stars and you end up losing.

I like a lot of hand-held games! They don't all whomp.
I said they're not ALL horrible though. The games always seem to have the dullest storylines of the series and i don't think i've liked any of the villains on the handheld.

I played the game boy game and was unimpressed.
I never really liked the handheld games too much though some aren't too horrible. For me, they're there as a filler to keep me occupied until a better game comes out.

Hmm, well, according to an issue of Gameinformer, Metroid Prime 3 will come out August 21.
The Metoid Prime 3 Preview that you can download on the Wii says its coming out Aug 28, so i believe that. I have played, beaten and loved every metroid game, excluding Metroid Prime Pinball and my favorite is of coarse Super Metroid, but that might change when Metroid Prime 3 comes out.

I've spent hours on that game playing through it, trying to get all of the items
I've gotten 100% under 3 hours before but every time i try again i always end up missing a missile pack and getting 99%. I can't even count how many hours i've spent playing that game.

Metroid Prime Hunters is a really fun game as well though i don't play online much after i got to Elite Hunter (3 Stars) because of the cheaters who use action replay to become invinsible and then blast you with the omega cannon. It just sucks the fun out of the game, and also lowers your score.

I've played almost all of them except for the Mario Land games for Game boy, Mario Paint and Mario Sunshine. My favorite would also have to SMB3 as well.

Do you guys know the ONE thing I loved about NES games? That practically every one of them had a secret code/trick to making the games super easy.

Some of my favs were the Konami code and the classic Mega Man Pause Trick.
I'm not a big fan of cheats, in fact i wouldn't even be able to remember the konami code unless i look it up.

I where the hell did you get that crap?! I didn't say anything about Link's motives. I was talking about the sad, sad, sorry state of Ganon and his crew in "The Wind Waker" and complete incompetence of Vaati.
I'm sorry i misread what you posted. But now that you mention it. Ganon didn't seem to have that evil badass nature in Wind Waker that he has in Twilight Princess or in previous games like Ocarina and Link to the Past. I got really exited when i first saw Ganondorf in TP when hes on his horse with the flames in the backround.

Duh. EVERYBODY know what caused the crash of 1983...  I personally hate the PS3. If I wanted a big, shiney, media-center-computer-wannabe that stamps label "I have small privates," onto my forehead I would buy it. But no. I'm looking for a GAMING CONSOLE! GAMES AND NOTHING MORE! Not all this extra blu ray and cell processor crap. Give the cell processor to the computers and blu ray to the movie business. Because all I want is to play games!
Beautifully said!

It was created in only 5 weeks. It got even worse with the fact of how many copies of the game were made for launch. 400 million! It was said to be the greatest game ever before it came out. However, it became the exact opposite. As a result, despite every single one of them being bought, nearly all were returned.
The game was incomplete as well and just ended up play a game of pong or something.
