It is never easy being the weakest physically in a group or to be the subject of bullying, but it is even worse when you are in a situation where you must either eventually become the hunter or be hunted. It is quite understandable why he would seek out companionship among flat-teeth under such circumstances, though the obviously has done little to improve his lot with the pack. Though now with his thoughts turning towards freedom, I can only assume what he is going to do next.
This is quite a nice start that gives us a good overview of Chase as a character and his life situation at the moment. I look forward to seeing what happens next.

Heh, I'm really glad you left a post here, because I got so caught up with other things recently I forgot to keep working on this. Oops-eeps!

Wild Arms tried to stifle a laugh. "Wow, guys, he's cracked."
Guido was downright dumbfounded. "Ah...okay," he muttered, taking a step back from Hyp. "I think...I'm just gonna go someplace else now." Turning away, he began to walk off. If Hyp was losing it, he didn't want to stick around to see what happened next!
"We're telling the truth!" Cera insisted, stomping her foot. "Oh, forget it! You goofballs can never take anything seriously, anyway! Come on, Hyp, let's tell the grown-ups!"

@Goldenwind I've never seen that live-action The Cat in the Hat (thankfully), but it looks like it must have been the 2000s counterpart to the infamous new Cats movie. (Filmmakers, the moral of this story is that movies about creepy CGI cats are destined to fail.) 
Also, I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one who was let down by one of their "childhood classic" movies.

@Anagnos he might not be as LBT-crazy as I am, but I made it literally impossible for him to grow up without an appreciation of Land Before Time.
And only time will tell how active he ends up being here--online, he's a man of few words compared to how I'll practically write a book in every other post. (Which is hilarious, because the way we usually behave in person is opposite that!) Rest assured I'll be pushing him to stick around, though...you just opened some can of worms, @Little Bro !!

It was long, and so boring I actually fell asleep in the theater, and that never happens to me.
I love the original Pirates trilogy, including this one.
To each their own, though! I did think that the first two Pirates movies were better than the third. The third did start out pretty slow, and I remember wondering, the first time I saw it, when things were going to pick up. Also, I thought the 4th and 5th movies were pretty bland...without much of Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, things just weren't the same.

« on: April 25, 2020, 02:01:15 PM »I've seen almost the entire show! Only thing I've missed is a lot of the Season 9 episodes. I went to YouTube for a handful that I just had to see, but aside from that I'm waiting on Netflix to pick up that season. My pony phase, too, faded out for a few years, but lately I've started re-watching the show, and I'm really enjoying it.
While Season 9 is still not yet available on Netflix, it has recently become available on Hulu, if you're interested.

Wild Arms and Guido spun around and saw that Cera was barreling straight towards them. And if there was one thing that made Wild Arms nervous, it was a threehorn barreling towards him.
"Stay back!" Wild Arms yelled, waving his arms in front of him as if to stop Cera. "That was an accident when I ate your dad's tree stars, I swear!"
Cera frowned. "You ate my dad's tree stars?"
Wild Arms giggled anxiously. "Wait--what? Did I say that?"
"Oh, forget it," Cera said, "there's something more important to worry about!"
"What's the matter?" Guido asked. "Is it what was going on between you and Hyp?" As soon as those words left his mouth, he blushed. "Not to say a-anything's, uh, going on between you guys, so to speak...heh, that was a bad choice of words..." He glanced towards Chomper, hoping his friend would say something to change the subject.

« on: April 24, 2020, 02:25:34 PM »Phew, it's not just me.Tickles is one of those characters that failed to make any impact whatsoever on me when I watched LBT as a kid. I think it basically boiled down to "he's not a dinosaur, so therefore I don't care." Harsh, but true!
That was my mentality as well. The series was basically all about dinosaurs, so if something wasn't a dinosaur, why bother paying attention? From the start, Tickles to me didn't make a very good first impression. I don't know whether I would pay more attention to his character if I happened to rewatch the film or would my opinion stay the same. Guess there's only one way to find out and that is to actually watch the darn movie in the near future.In fact, I think LBT IV overall never thrilled me much because it had so many of those non-dinosaurs in it--Ichy, Dil, Tickles. I couldn't stand those small mammals from the TV series, either--I got into LBT for the dinosaurs, not some random mammals!!
Yeah, that trio of mammals was not my cup of tea either. They had a whole variety of dinosaurs to choose from, yet they pull a stunt like that? Come on.
I know...why not some small dinosaurs or something, instead?
And the crabs, while maybe not as annoying to me as the mammals, were similar offenders as far as I'm concerned.

Hmm, I'm sure I've seen plenty of bad movies, but it's hard to think up one that stands out to me as being the WORST. If I think about specifically animated movies, though, the Dinotopia cartoon Quest for the Ruby Sunstone comes to mind. *Sigh*...I'm ashamed to say this movie was a big part of my childhood, right alongside LBT. Then, years later, I dug it out of the cabinet, hoping for nostalgia. Instead, I was shocked I'd ever thought the obnoxious movie was good! There were WAY too many mean-spirited, annoying characters who were there for no reason but supposed comic relief. The villain sidekicks were irritating, and the good-guy sidekick was even MORE irritating, to the point of being unbearable! (His name was Spaz. I don't really need to say more!) 
A heaping of Spaz-induced torture forced me to turn off the insufferable movie halfway through. UGH! 
The only part of that movie I was able to squeeze any nostalgia from was skipping to the end credits for the song that played there, which, amazingly, was as good as I had remembered (unfortunate that it had to be in THIS movie).
I guess the bright side is how that crummy movie introduced me to the REAL Dinotopia: the book series that is interesting, imaginative, welcoming, and everything else the cartoon is not! (I've also seen the author, James Gurney, mention online that he'd objected to the making of that dumb cartoon version--no surprise there!) But here's what really shocked me: Davis Doi, the director of LBT XIV, also directed that poor excuse for Dinotopia. Thank goodness we didn't get some Spaz 2.0 in Journey of the Brave!

He constantly tries to help the gang by lending out some of his wisdoms and things he learned while staying in the Mysterious Beyond. However he is on the recieving end of the bad luck as slapstick happens to him repeatedly.If and when there is a showdown with Rinkus and Sierra it becomes a litteral slapstick survival match rather than a fight as crazy things keep happening during the fight.
Is there any characters that you think should be involved outside of the main seven? Personally I feel like characters like RedClaw could take the backseat unless there is a fun idea to incorporate him.
Haha, sounds like a fun idea to me. I can see the flyers trying to duke it out but failing (hilariously) miserably.
And I agree that Red Claw probably doesn't need to be in here. His home is in "Yellowbellies Rule!" for now!
