Silver Screen / Rocko's Modern Life Special
« on: January 01, 2017, 01:06:50 PM »
Animator Joe Murray is bringing back "Rocko's Modern Life" for a 1-hour special that's going to be airing some time this year on Nickelodeon!

(For the youngest GOF members who were too young or not born yet when Rocko was on,) Joe Murray is the man who also created "Camp Lazlo" on Cartoon Network that aired from 2005 to 2008.

I'll give this special a chance, guys. Rocko was my **favorite** nickelodeon cartoon as a kid and it still is today!  It was originally on from 1993 to 1996 (when I was between 4 and 7 years old.)

No nickelodeon cartoon tickles my funny bone or cracks me up **harder** than Rocko!  And it helped give me the funny personality that I have today!

Here's what I know about this Rocko special so far. My sources are honest, and only taken from his animation studio's website. (This is *not* taken from Wikipedia, where anyone can write whatever they want to, whether it's true or false.)

Murray **officially** confirmed the special last August. Here's what he said about it on his studio website athttp://joemurraystudio.com/blog/

Everything that i've put in brackets and quotation marks  [""]  is a direct quote from Joe Murray himself that he posted on his studio blog.

["What I can share is that the details are getting closely watched. We are painting the backgrounds traditionally rather than digitally."]

["There is actually pencils and paper getting used (which is a rarity these days). I’m enjoying working for Nickelodeon where I didn’t think I would."]

So, he's staying with the same cool traditional animation style, and not CGI, and i'm glad, too.

["The special is wrapped in secrecy, so I can’t give many details about it online. Only that we have recorded the dialog, and are deep into design, backgrounds and animatic. I’m liking it a lot."]

He also got approval from Nickelodeon executives, and they're not going to "water down" the level of humor. So it should still be *full tilt* funny. :D

["I started laughing about some of the things we could do with the “new” Modern Life, it became more appealing. After a meeting with Nick Execs that they promised not to water it down,( which they have not) I agreed to move forward."]  :) so he's got permission to be *FULL tilt* funny on the jokes!

["Basically, Rocko, Filburt and Heffer have to deal with Modern Life in 2016, 17, 18 and there are lots of twists and turns. I’m very happy with it. We are done with the storyboard ( which was split up with the 4 of us, myself included) and are now moving into production. I will keep this blog posted with developments and interesting quirks from the progression of production."]

So i'll keep checking Joe Murray's studio blog for updates on the new 1-hour Rocko special, guys.

As of January 2017, They've finished the storyboards, and the dialogue recording, and now they're working on the animation.

Murray also said he wants to try some new things with this 1-hour special, and that he didn't want a simple re-hashing of the old show:

["Of course I did have feelings like it could flop. But I told Nickelodeon I definitely did NOT want to do a simple re-hashing of the old show, that this would need to break some new ground, which it does. Even though we have some call backs, it is mostly new material going in some new fresh directions. I hope the fans feel like we did it justice."]

I'll give this special a chance, guys. Rocko was my **favorite** nickelodeon cartoon as a kid. It was on from 1993 to 1996 (when I was 4 to 7 years old.)

Again, don't use wikipedia or any of those "wiki" sites as information sources for this Rocko special, because they are not reliable. Anyone can write anything, true or false on Wikipedia.

My information was taken from Joe Murray's official studio blog. It's official news. It'll be done in traditional animation style, and *none* of the jokes and humor are going to be "watered down". He's gotten permission from the Nickelodeon executives to still be as funny as he wants to be with this.

I'll keep you updated if I hear anything new about the special. I'm *very* excited. :D

He even included a deleted scene from the storyboard that he just posted last month:http://joemurraystudio.com/wp-content/uplo...-thumbnails.gif

LBT Fanfiction / Adolescent Petrie
« on: December 02, 2015, 01:17:53 AM »
I love the user "Sky"'s new drawing of an adolescent-aged Petrie that he recently uploaded on DeviantArt.

As an adolescent, Petrie really looks handsome, friendly and lovable in the drawing.

When I first saw it, I got excited.

It's just that i've never seen him look this nice, handsome, and friendly before.

In case you haven't seen it yet, here it is: http://hakunaro.deviantart.com/art/Adolesc...etrie-574732983

General Land Before Time / Great Valley Adventure's 20th anniversary
« on: November 25, 2014, 04:59:06 AM »
We're approaching the 20th anniversary of the first LBT sequel, "The Great Valley Adventure", which is coming up on December 13th.

I found a picture of a sealed copy of the original 1994 vhs, too: http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/0e/...ac4b73c5a70.jpg

It's Chomper, Ozzy, and Strut's 20th anniversary.

I remember first renting this movie in 1996 when I was just 6 years old along with the then all-new "Time of the Great Giving".

I can't believe it's been 20 years.  Wow, how the time flies.

This movie is special to me because it was the first LBT movie I ever saw.

I can also remember watching (for the first time) the part in the beginning where Petrie tried walking with his eyes closed!  :DD

The Fridge / Pteranodon wedding cake decoration
« on: November 17, 2014, 03:28:56 AM »
I had to share this with you. :)

I happened to find in a search, a wedding cake topper of a pteranodon couple. It's the first i've found of it's kind, and didn't even know it existed. Their colored bellies are in the shape of hearts, too.

I've found 4 up close pictures of it:

LBT Fanfiction / Elsa (We're Back) request! :)
« on: October 15, 2014, 05:21:30 PM »
I have a romantic drawing request! :)

Of course i'm talking about Elsa, the pterodactyl from the 1993 movie "We're Back: A Dinosaur story."

In case you don't know what she looks like, here are some images of her from the movie:

http://s18.postimg.org/mvd8ihpl5/wereback5.jpg

http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2014071...hug_cecilia.jpg

http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lqgk6njO...bgddo1_1280.jpg

(this is a fan-made 19th birthday picture of her from deviantart)
http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/010...lau-d36w01l.jpg

I really love Elsa not only because she's a pterodactyl, but also for her gentle, flirting, and romantic personality that she has. : )

My request is simple.

I'd like to be drawn (as a pterodactyl) with Elsa, doing something sweet and romantic together.

And it can be anything romantic, guys.

..a beak-to-beak kiss, or... a close hug.. or.. us laying down together..  anything. :)

How would I like to look in the drawing?

I'd like to be drawn as a simple "male" version of Elsa, just make me a little taller (and remove the eyelashes of course).  For my colors, i'd like my main color to be blue with a *soft* light blue colored belly area.

:)  I'd really appreciate it if any of you could draw this request for me.

General Land Before Time / I've left LBT...
« on: September 27, 2014, 11:26:17 PM »
Yes, I am now more into Elsa the pteranodon and "We're Back: A Dinosaur Story".

My Land Before Time phase is over. I've exited my phase after 4 1/2 years. I got rid of all of my LBT dvd's a few days ago, cold turkey. But, i'm not leaving the gof.

You see...I have more past childhood memories and connections behind "We're Back" than I do with LBT.

Look guys.. I know that "We're Back" is a much lesser-known movie with a much lower fan base than LBT, but I love the movie, personally.

The 2 things that We're Back, and the LBT sequels have in common, is that they both feature actor Kenneth Mars, and both also feature music composed by James Horner.

I never owned any LBT movies, or any merchandise as a kid, and I didn't even know LBT even existed until 1996.

I'll give you my own personal history behind "We're Back". In my opinion, it's a really funny dinosaur movie, :) and personally, I love it:

I met "We're Back: A Dinosaur Story" right away after it was released on VHS. I can connect this movie with my childhood a *lot* more than I can with LBT.

As I was saying, I got the movie right when it was released on VHS in the spring of 1994 when I was in preschool (and I had it with my other cartoon movies all the way until we moved 4 years ago.)

In addition to the movie, I also owned a pair of Rex pajamas when I was 4-5 years old, and the pattern was Rex smiling in his golf hat, shirt, and glasses. :)  We also watched the movie in kindergarten in '94-'95, and the other kids got up and danced when "Roll Back The Rock" was playing.

I got the movie on dvd yesterday, (having watched it on youtube previously).  "We're Back" also *really* tickles my funny bone a lot more than what LBT movies do.

and Vorb's voice.. (And I imitated Vorb to myself yesterday from his opening scene..)

 "A-HAAAA!  A POTENTIAL CUSSSTOMERR!!"

:D LOL! :D

.... "By process of selection..your galaxy, your planet, your neighborhood!".. "YOUUUU!  YES.! YOUUUU!  HAVE BEEN CHOSEN AS THE SOLE BENEFICIARY..!")  and I burst out giggling hard as if I were being tickled by 1,000 feathers!.... :D :D

..and the scene where Rex rode on a truck like a skateboard.. (and the end part where he "went in" for the rescue, and rolled off the Brooklyn Bridge to rescue Dweeb, Elsa, and Woog from the police.)   LOL. XD

And as for Elsa..  I have a cartoon crush on her since re-visiting this movie. I had forgotten how gentle, caring, and loving of a personality she has.

Now when I think of her, I blush and get all warm inside, and get those warm "love" feelings. I've imagined myself in my head as a pteranodon, and embracing in a hug with Elsa, even being kissed on the beak by her, or just laying down next to her, and whispering gentle thoughts with each other.

I love her gentle personality, and I loved her gentle/caring facial expressions when she waited outside while Louie was talking with Cecilia at her apartment, and Elsa had those warm, caring eyes, and a warm friendly smile. I also remember how she outsmarted the police helicopters during the chase scene by hiding behind a gargoyle on the roof of one of the buildings. I also liked the 2 close-ups of her, saying the first "Hello." to Cecilia, and her straightening out Louie.. after he said "I got it.. hey you!  the bat??.."        she straightened Louie out..  "I  am  *not* a bat.    I'm a pterodactyl!"  And near the end when Cecilia hugs her and turns her back into her "friendly/good" self, and away from a wild pteranodon, and she chuckles lightly and smiles back. :)

I also remember that I rented the "We're Back" video game for my Sega Genesis system one weekend in 1996, too.

Again, what I owned as a kid:

Land Before Time?  Nothing.

We're Back? The movie on VHS, Rex pajamas, and I rented the video game for my Sega Genesis one weekend in '96. I now own the "We're Back" DVD.

I know there are many who don't like this movie for it's plot. (And I really do not like people who call this movie "The Land Before Time on crystal meth." And I *hated* the youtube video of "The Nostalgia Critic" fussing, bashing. moaning and yelling his head off about this movie. *Boooo!* *MAN* what a pain in the butt!

I love it because it's such a funny dinosaur movie, and it tickles my funny bone so much. I love it for it's humor. :)

Just call this a "change of phase" for me. We all have our different "phases" we go in and out of in life.  I'm not leaving the GOF, i've just exited my LBT phase for "We're Back".

One last thing I wanted to add, and this is a cool coincidence. On the night of September 25th, I tried to draw Elsa.. and I had no idea, that September 25th was her voice actress's (Felicity Kendal's) 68th birthday. And when I found that out, I was surprised.

I've really gotten into Elsa now. I had forgotten about her beautiful appearance and her loving, caring personality, as well as her expressions and appearance. It had been a long time since I had seen the movie before I re-visited it. I own We're Back on dvd now, and I am really happy about it.

When i'm alone (in my room in private of course..) I sometimes get wet in the eyes with happiness, when imagining for fun.. what it would be like (as a pteranodon) if Elsa and I were to be in a romantic friendship/releationship.. and kiss each other beak to beak, and hugged closely. That would be so sweet... :oops

In summary..

Don't feel down. I'm not leaving the gof right now.

I'm just saying that i've left my LBT phase after 4 1/2 years, and i'm into "Elsa" and "We're Back: A Dinosaur Story" now.

Everyone comes in and goes out of different phases throughout their lives, and that's normal. ;)

General Land Before Time / "Petrie's Flying Game"
« on: August 23, 2014, 04:45:53 PM »
I've been having trouble with one of the bonus games on the "Great Day Of The Flyers" dvd. This game plays just like "Simon" does, except instead of colors I have to remember and repeat the order of tricks Petrie does.

The object of the game, is to repeat a new flying trick Petrie adds for each round. His 3 tricks in the game are "soar up" "loop de loop" and "down dipper".

I won the "beginner" level, which is repeating 5 tricks in a row correctly.  but I couldn't  repeat the 10 tricks required to win at the "advanced" level, where the narrator says, "you are a master flyer." when you win.

I usually get to 6 or 7, but then I have trouble. I'll win the advanced level eventually. It does take some concentration.

I'm sure if I were a flyer, Petrie and his mom wouldn't be mad or upset at me for not remembering the correct order of tricks Petrie does, and I wouldn't get picked at, called a stupid deadbeat, or get hit either. I'd make a great friend for Petrie.

With some practice, I can win the advanced level of the flying game. :)

General Land Before Time / Littlefoot suit/costume
« on: July 30, 2014, 06:43:06 PM »
I found a couple of pictures of a Littlefoot suit/costume from a few years ago, and it does look kinda cool.

This picture is from 2007 at a White House lawn event called the "Easter Egg Roll":  http://www.animatronicbear.com/mjbresume/mbLittleFootMed.jpg

And here is another picture of the Littlefoot suit from April 2010. : http://chocolatetootsierollpops.files.word...4/298928229.jpg

I do like this Littlefoot suit.

I wonder what it'd feel like to wear this suit.

General Land Before Time / I found a great Petrie plush
« on: June 11, 2014, 02:37:55 AM »
Guys, I just found this on youtube, and i've never seen this design of Petrie plush toy before, and I really love it. :D :D :D

Yeah, the colors are a little off, but he's a decent large size. :) :) :)

Here's a video of it. (i don't have the Petrie plush, I just found a video of it, but I really like this Petrie plush toy that's in this video below.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRNjI_9cnH8

*But, as long as i'm still living with my parents, I wouldn't be able to ever own a plush Petrie anyways, because that'd be acting very immature like a preschooler/little baby and not acting like a nearly 25 year old man. <_<*

Anyways, :) I was *very* tickled happy and excited when I found this Petrie plush in the video. ;)   It looks cute, and I love how it looks. :) :) Petrie's body shapes are very accurate, the only thing slightly off is the color, but that isn't a problem with me. ;)

General Land Before Time / Jared the Rhamphorhynchus :)
« on: December 22, 2013, 12:09:42 AM »
Guys, i'm in a mood, as if i've been struck by a "rhamphorhynchus/love" arrow.

I wanted to know your opinions on what you think of me as an lbt rhamphorhynchus:

*I'm the tan one in the middle with the blue eyes in this picture (drawn by flipperboidskua) about 3 years ago. Luke (bushwacked) is the green one on the left, I'm the tan one in the middle, and Rinkus is on the right.   I mean.. i'm *really* in a rhamphorhynchus mood now. :yes :DD

http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/248...kua-d3656o6.jpg

What do you think of me as a rhamphorhynchus? Do I look lovable/huggable/cuddly? how would you describe me?

The Fridge / My wisdom teeth
« on: September 20, 2013, 01:16:18 AM »
**This is a post to kick off my own wisdom tooth thread, because I believe that Chapter 1 of this experience may have happened today.

Now guys.. right now, an appointment for the removal of them has not been scheduled yet, but i'll keep you updated. :( as you can see, I am very afraid/scared about it and all of the pain that are known to last for several days on end after the removal!   :cry :cry :cry **

Today I had a dentist's appointment (just for a normal cleaning and x-ray.)

 In the cavity inspection, I had 1 small cavity starting.   I have 30 teeth, and to give you a hint.. it wasn't on one of my main 28.    It was on my top left wisdom tooth (I have 2 top ones, none on the bottom have grown in yet. i'm 24.. so it looks like I got "half" lucky and got 2 instead of 4. I'm lucky about that.

I am very scared/worried though.  I've read reviews people have written on their own Wis. tooth removal experiences.  Even some have said it takes 4 weeks for the teeth and gums to fully completely heal.  *THAT scares me*

But my mom said "it'd only take a week for me to heal." I think that's how long it took for her to heal.

**There's NO set appointment date to have the teeth pulled right now. I'm just shaky/kinda sweaty as if the appointment is tomorrow. The only thing that my mind seemed to be stuck on this afternoon was the wisdom teeth. the pain. the dentists extraction tools! !  O_O   The BLEEDING!! o_o   o_o   The "dry holes/in case blood clots DON'T form" that people wrote in their own experiences.

BTW, Neither of my 2 wisdom teeth are impacted either. they're in straight.

I'm very afraid/scared of the pain/swelling/bleeding/aches.

:(  If the dentist would've said.  "no cavities" then I'd be happy doing my normal stuff right now and wouldn't have to go back until my next cleaning appointment in March.

I mean.. when that small cavity was pointed out on my top right wisdom tooth.  I was thinking in my head "oh s**t.  oh s**t.. Oh. no..  oh no.  that's it Jared. That's it.  Dead end. Game Over, Check-mate.  You "have" to get them pulled out. You can't just let a tooth with a little cavity just sit in your mouth with all of your other nice straight teeth and ruin your mouth. :(

I think Ptyra got hers removed in about.. '10, and Flipperboidskua said that she got hers pulled in like.. '12.   And today, after the cavity discovery, I think I just stepped on deck to having mine pulled. : (   it "is" the right thing to do though.  (I'm just very very scared of the pain.

I HOPE none of my gums or nerves gets DAMAGED in the removal!! O_O that's ANOTHER thing i'm REALLY really scared of. My feet are shaking, i'm trembling a little, and my heart rate goes up a little when I think about the wisdom teeth getting pulled out. and i'm a 24 year old guy (but I sure don't have any tough/brave guts on me right now.) : (

The best part is at the very end when the gums have fully healed and when you can return to eating normal solid foods once again. ; )

I figured i'd start my own personal "wisdom teeth" thread of my own. A cavity was seen on my top right, and that has just started my own personal experience. :(

I'm very afraid of the pain, the bleeding, and the swelling and aches. : ( I need comforting.

*but getting them pulled is only the right thing to do. I'm just afraid of the pain in the experience itself. :(*

I haven't had any teeth pulled out of my mouth in 10 years (2003, when I had my last 8 baby teeth pulled out when I was 14.) And i'm VERY scared about the wisdom teeth, because they are big, rooted teeth in the back of the mouth and are much more painful to get out.

:( I don't know how long/wish I "knew" how long it'll take for them to heal after they're pulled. : ( Gosh, I hope my mom's right about the one week. (that's how it was for her when she had hers pulled. and remember, it's 2 teeth, not 4, and they're NOT impacted either. They are in straight.)

General Land Before Time / Curing Sierra (from his behavior)
« on: July 10, 2013, 11:56:10 PM »
Guys, I know I sometimes have quite a vivid imagination.

I've figured out what may have lead to Sierra's angry behavior to pretty much every flyer/dino he sees. Maybe he has something to hide from his past that was very humiliating/embarassing, and everyone treated him nasty, which may have led him to his behavior

I'm still very curious about this. I think it could be a psychological problem he had from an event in his childhood, that lead him to behave rough/angry to any and every flyer/dino he sees.

If I were a pteranodon, or even another cearadactylus, here's what i'd do:

I wouldn't be afraid to ask Sierra why he's so mad to everyone everyday, and try to reach in deeper to him socially. I really wouldn't mind having a one-on-one private talk with Sierra, flyer-to-flyer, alone.

I've thought deep on this, and I think Sierra isn't actually this mean, I think he had something from his past/childhood that really hurt him very hard emotionally, and led him to behave angry and nasty. in-yes.gif

I don't think Sierra really is as terribly bad of a flyer as I used to think in the past.

If I were able to talk to him, who knows? maybe, maybe if I reached in deep enough, i'd be able to "hit" a soft spot in Sierra, and maybe help him with that problem that lead to him behaving so nasty and rude to any dino/flyer in sight.

Sorry if this cearadactylus-psychoanalysis theory sounds weird to you guys, I just have one vivid imagination. If I could just reach deep enough into Sierra, find that problem from his past, and help him with it.. maybe it could lead to a flyer friendship between us two over time. First we could form a good acquaintanceship, and maybe as it'd go on.. possibly become good friends with each other.**

(although it may involve me getting a few scratches and bruises at first..)

Do you think this would work if I were a flyer and tried this method with Sierra?

Now remember, this is just a theory I thought of. Sierra's anger/fussing/rudeness could also just be the way he acts normally. It's all a matter of how you personally perceive the character.

Sound Off! / Alice In Chains (new album)
« on: May 07, 2013, 12:37:09 AM »
Alice In Chains has a new dino-titled album coming out. :) no kidding.

For those of you who don't know the alternative rock/grunge rock group "Alice In Chains", I'll be glad to give you some info.  ;)

They were popular in the early-mid 1990's with albums such as "Facelift", "Dirt", "Jar of Flies", and "Alice In Chains", and had hits like "Man In The Box", "Rooster", "Would?", and "No Excuses" to name some.

After releasing their self-titled album "Alice In Chains" in 1995, things took a downturn, and their original lead singer, Layne Staley, died in 2002. Since Staley's death, they found a new lead singer, William Duvall.

In 2009, Alice In Chains made a comeback and released their first new album since 1995, titled "Black Gives Way To Blue". The album had 2 hits,  "A Looking In View" and "Check My Brain".

And now... boy! have I got news for you guys. They've got a brand new album coming out that's kind of co-incidental to LBT. :D

The new album is called "The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here" and on the cover, it's got a skull of a triceratops.. and the WILDEST coincidence (for Pterano fans like me) is, one of the album's singles is titled "Stone".  No kidding! :D  (even though the song has nothing to do with a stone of cold fire". :D Lol! )

Here's a picture of the albums cover art: http://www.purerock.com/wp-content/uploads...ere-620x620.jpg

and here's a link to a video of "Stone":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i4Mlz22lhw

I can't believe it. Alice In Chains's new album has "dinosaur" in the title, a triceratops skull on the cover, and a single called "Stone".   Unbelievably co-incidental! :DD What are the odds of this?   Wow.  :yes

The Fridge / My current news/events
« on: April 03, 2013, 10:08:52 PM »
Hello. :wave

This is my new "personal life news" thread, to replace "my sucky life/sucky current life situation <_<" Because I want a new/optimistic sounding title than that old, sad, depressing one. Because it doesn't stay "sucky and sad". It change as time goes on. :yes

Currently, I'm still at $8.25 an hour at the grocery store still bagging, putting carts away, and on some days, I do some cleaning chores in the afternoon/evening there. The busy season is slowing down and the Winter tourists are starting to go home back up North.  Still, i'm getting about 28-31 hours a week, which is not bad at all for a part-timer.

Health-wise, I need to work on cutting back on drinking so much soda, my mom says I have a gut on me, and that I drink way too much soda and need to slow down and not drink so much all the time. :( Yes. I weigh 213-214 pounds. :(  I need to really cut down on drinking so much soda every day. :(

Money-wise, it's still tight. I'm still hanging in there, but still earning only $8.25 an hour at 23 years old. (I still think i'm working for chicken-feed pay/nothing, and need some encouragement.

I know i'll have a different and MUCH better paying job sometime in the future. You know i'm not gonna settle for an $8.25/minumum wage job forever... come on! ;)

What's been getting me down (and i've said it before) is that I can't believe i'm approaching 24 years old, about to enter my mid 20's and still make a lousy $8 an hour part time, and think that i'm a loser/nobody. Sometimes I think "Oh God Jared, you're gonna be 24, and you're working for chicken feed pay at $8.25 an hour. bagging groceries/putting carts away/cleaning floors/bathrooms... You blew it! You're a loser/nobody.":(

This is what I should think in my head:

"Jared, it will get better in the future for you, you are not a loser, don't feel so sad, down, depressed, and feel that you're worthless/working for nothing. Be happy of what you might become/do in the future ;), and not be all bummed down or feel useless/pathetic about what you're doing right now. It'll get better."

"Things change in time, Jared. Don't be so sad. You can be somebody if you apply yourself. You won't be bagging/working at a grocery store forever. This is only a "starter" job. You'll have a much better job(s) and be earning a lot more money in the future than what you're getting right now. Don't feel like you're worthless and that you blew it. You haven't. You're a really smart guy. This grocery job is just temporary. Things will get better. You will be a better person and have a better job in your future. Think positive." ;)

And that's what I need to do. Keep positive. I'm a good, smart guy. I'm no loser.

General Land Before Time / Sierra's mood
« on: March 05, 2013, 02:58:51 AM »
Hi, I wondered about Sierra and the case as to why he was always scowly and angry throughout the 7th movie. I just was thinking what's behind Sierra's anger,

Do you think something might have happened when he was a little child cearadactylus that made him get angry and grumpy for most if th? (were his mom and dad mean and nasty to him maybe? I don't know.

In your opinion, what's up with Sierra?  Is he scarred for life from a childhood hurtful event when he was young, leading him to always being angry? What do you think is up with Sierra in your opinion. ;) ?

General Land Before Time / Being a Yellowbelly
« on: March 02, 2013, 01:16:54 AM »
*<_< <_< Before I start, I thoroughly understand "wisdom of friends" is the worst LBT movie, and the yellowbellies are the worst characters, hands down <_< <_<*

I just had this question (no of course i don't like "wisdom of friends". I know it's the worst movie. I haven't seen it either all the way through. I've only seen little parts and clips, and I know it's an absolute... horrible... disaster.

I just had a question, if I was a yellowbelly, what would life even be like for me and what would I even do? <_< I'm just curious.

And also, is it true (from what i've read) that there was a yellowbelly who farted on Petrie?  O_O :x How did that happen? can anyone tell me?  thanks.

(Hey, I don't like Wisdom of friends either.. I'm not going to spend A CENT of my money on a "13"  dvd.

I was just asking a question, that's all.)  I'd be a flyer any day of the week of course! :D you already know that one!

I just wanted to know what life would ..even be like if I was a yellowbelly. What the heck would I even do, what would even be the point of life? and did a yellowbelly actually fart on Petrie in the movie? (Good God! O_O!!)

If so, how did it happen?  :(  :x "The Wisdom of friends: the LBT movie that shouldn't even exist."..  :x Yuuuck!

LBT Fanfiction / Petrie's mom as a sharptoothed flyer
« on: January 21, 2013, 01:08:38 AM »
I'm sorry that I get so excited when I find something that I really love Guys, I can't resist. I wanted to share with you how much I love Darkhououmon's drawing of Petrie's Mom (Mama Flyer) as a flying sharptooth. I LOVE it!

(I have no intention of being a "copycat", I'm just "imagining" what i'd look like.) :D

(I know this may sound weird coming from a guy on a female character :( , but.. I love her colors, and even though i'm a light tan rhamphorhynchus in "Flyers of the Mysterious Beyond", I would love to have the same body colors as "Petrie's mom as a flying sharptooth" guys. (it's neat to imagine, anyways.) I'd love to "hatch" out of my egg with her colors. Heh heh.

I'm sure there's got to be at least one other flyer in the LBT world that would have the same dark blue main body/light blue belly colors that she has. :yes

I LOVE that dark blue she has for her legs and wings, and main body. I woudn't mind//like to have those for my body colors if I were a flyer.

I love her colors that much (as well as the picture) I love how Darkhououmon drew her. I LOVE IT! :D AND it's very fascinating, too. ;) I've been visiting the picture a lot in the last few days i've been online. I love the picture that much, guys!

Here's a link to it. (Darkhououmon did an Awwwesome job! ^_^)  I LOVE it!  Sorry for babbling or talking too long on this "Petrie's mom as a flying sharptooth" picture, but I REALLY love it that much! she's awesome! Her teeth, her wings, her knees, her feet, PERFECT! :D :D   (sorry if i'm getting too hooked on  this picture, but I REALLY LOVE looking at it, and it means a lot to me! :D)

SUPER Job, Darkhououmon! :D It's perfect! (well, to me it is, being a HUGE flyer fan and all! ;) )

What do you think of it, guys?  The drawing is in the link below: What a drawing! It's also my FAVORITE Petrie's mom drawing, too. ;) :yes

General Land Before Time / Michael York's health
« on: January 12, 2013, 02:38:21 PM »
Pterano's in trouble and I'm getting worried, guys. :sad (I understand he's 70 years old but i'm still getting worried about him)

I found two 2012 pictures of him.. his eyes are narrowing. Earlier last year, he had sort of an Elton John-ish appearance going on. :( and I don't mean that in a good way.

This was York in April 2012: http://www.zimbio.com/photos/Michael+York/...ere/XXaY6wCmPNG

and here he is in October 2012 (BALD! :( ) Oh Michael! Hang on!
http://imagecollect.com/picture/michael-yo...ning-night-gala

and this is a youtube video of him signing autographs last April (yes he can still talk (you can hear him say a few words, and a "you're welcome" at the end and yes he can still sign autographs.:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-DLSESWKfI

What really hurts, is the cancer that he has. This is a youtube comment that I read:

"Michael is suffering from Multiple Myeloma ( a vicious form of cancer that affects the blood and makes your bones brittle ) He's dying and hasn't got long to live so make the most of him while he's still around."

This is not looking good, guys. :(

(But, I bet you COULD still get a Pterano picture signed by Michael, but..not another Pterano movie from him.) :( :(

(The only hope of a future LBT movie with Pterano in it, is if he gets a new voice actor.) :(

I was very worried looking at that October picture of him bald. :( (this would be the LBT equivalent of Pterano's crest completely drooped down behind his head and having lost all of it's "point"

Let's remember he's 70 years old and was 58 when "The Stone Of Cold Fire" was released.  I can't stand the thought of a "Michael York has died" thread.  :( It'd be very sad to say "Guys...we've lost Pterano." ;(

York is still alive, he can still speak (low and slower than he used to.. but he can), and he's still capable of signing autographs. :|  Let's wish him the best..  (I'm worried that he may be the next LBT voice actor to die) :(  It'd really hurt to lose Pterano, the BIGGEST adult flyer character! X(

Hang tight Strut. I wouldn't want LBT's 25th anniversary year ruined by a Michael York death. It..would..HURT! :cry

All I can say is, stay positive, and let's all wish Michael York the best. :( I don't want to lose Pterano!!!!

:cry  :cry  :cry Please!! NOT PTERANO!! :cry  :cry  :cry

General Land Before Time / (me, too) Lbt/maturity problem. :(
« on: January 11, 2013, 02:07:41 AM »
Guys, I have a problem like RainbowGirl 39 has in a thread she posted earlier.

I have a story..actually 2 quick stories:

The first one.. About 2 years ago, my dad found my "saurus rock/cold fire" dvd in the slot when he was getting ready to watch a different dvd.. he found it and said.. "What baby left this in here?..." then he set it down, and loaded in his movie disc..

The second one... that Mom told me a couple of years ago (2011)..

"You need to grow up, Jared. Land Before Time is for little kids, not you." Yet she has no problem with me being on the gof, but tells me to remember to be careful and be safe... "Jared. Watch out what you do there..you don't know who you're talking to or who they are."  and dad seems ok with it, but tells me "Don't talk to anyone 17 or younger. Remember that you are a legal adult (don't talk to minors).

I'm 23 physically.. but i'm not fully there in maturity, (and never will. I am a funny guy, I love LBT as much as I did when I was 5. I can't leave it.  I'm just...different from my family members, my dad, mom, and sister.  I'm that "One different" member. :(

I love LBT at 23 years old. I don't want to be "labeled" for liking a "little movie for little kids".. I do not want to erase LBT out of my life and "grow up!/move on!/man up! you're not a little boy anymore."..  but I CAN'T! I don't want to.

Guys did you know, the day I bought my original and Big Freeze dvds.. my mom said "That was a WASTE of money Jared!" she got mad..and wanted me to take the dvds back to the store and return them. I ran to the bathroom and cried it out. (this was when I was 21).  Later on that evening when things cooled off, I asked.. "please mom.. Will you let me keep my new land before time dvd's?  Please??
:(  she said.. "yeah."   and I told her thank you.

I hide my dvd's of 1,2,3,6,7, and 8 in a bag in the top of my closet, and hide my drawings folder in one of my dresser drawers. I have to keep hiding it. I don't want mom or dad to find out. (yet dad said 2 years ago that my "LBT 7 Pteranodon trio" drawing was amazing.  :| Yet I'm a baby and act immature for having land before time dvd's? :(

Noone'll understand me. :(  I don't think LBT is for babies. It is very nostalgic. I treasure my favorite gang character, Petrie. and I love the Original classic and the sequels up to "The Stone Of Cold Fire". :(  Guys, am I being immature for loving the land before time being 23 years old?  They're not "baby movies" Mom didn't like the day I bought those "original" and "Big Freeze" dvds, and thought the movies were "for little kids"  .. she said "Jared... how OLD are You???"  and she was really throwing a fuss at me...  wasting money on Land Before Time dvd's.

Guys, I need help here. :( Am I "being a baby" for still loving LBT this much at 23 years old? :( I don't want to throw LBT into the "dumpster" and "act my age" and "man up."

I can't...  I can't!  I don't want to leave LBT. I love movies 1-7. :( I love Petrie same as I did when I was a boy. :(  I hope i'm not "acting like a 6 year old" for loving Petrie/LBT still as much at 23. :(

Mom and dad don't seem to have a problem with me talking to you guys on the GOF, but they say "Jared, watch out who you talk to, what you say on there, and do not talk to anyone 17 or younger."

Thank God I got to keep my original and Big Freeze dvd's and that my mom didn't force me to take them back to the store and return them. :(

I can't guys.. I don't want to leave LBT. I know i'm a man physically, but a funny guy/kid at heart. :(  I don't want to get an "immaturity/needs to grow up and learn to act like an adult, not like a little boy." label.

Is there a problem with me, or am I fine? :(  (I know i'm very lonely, and have a "social" case of aspergers syndrome. I feel i'm "not normal like the rest of the early 20's crowds and never dare to open my mouth in public that I love the land before time."

(I hide all of my LBT Dvd's/drawings from mom and dad. The dvds are in my closet in a bag, and my old drawings are in a folder in my dresser.)

I'm 23, but i'm not ready to grow up/man up in all of my areas yet. :( I can't erase the LBT fan out of me. I don't want to leave it. I love it. I love Petrie. I can't erase him from my life totally and "man up!".. I don't want to man up and move on in that area. I can't..DO it!   :cry  This Petrie fan won't ever outgrow his wings!.. or ever "put Petrie and all that little kid's stuff behind and learn how to act like a mature 23 year old adult and man up."

(If I could talk to the little flyer and tell him how I feel, I would say: "Petrie, I will never leave you. I'll always be a fan of yours, no matter how old I get." :cry

I just want to be myself ;) and not be what my parents want me to be in terms of "acting fully mature." <_< and they don't "fully" accept that I still really love/am a BIG fan and really love "The Land Before Time" either. :|

General Land Before Time / Rinkus & I
« on: January 02, 2013, 06:21:46 PM »
Guys, I can't help it. I've been thinking a lot about Rinkus in my head over the last 2 days. I can't hold it in anymore guys. I know i'm just imagining, but I HAVE to say it. I want to open up what i'd want as an lbt rhamph.

For the last 2 nights, i've thought of Rinkus at night when i'm in bed..and it's very comforting and has helped me relax and fall asleep faster.

I mean it guys, If I were a rhamphorhynchus..  I'd want Rinkus and I to develop a deep bond of friendship (no, i'm not talking about LOVE-love O_O...

Just to have a very strong friendship with Rinkus). Nothing would please me more than to become best friends with each other.

I mean it. I'd do anything with Rinkus. flying around and skimming the waters fishing together, visiting a waterfall, exploring a cave, going for walks, sitting down and taking a nap, having a quiet talk, a pat on the shoulder, a hug of friendship, farting together! :D lol! , rubbing our fat bellies after a big, delicious fish meal, burping, playing/twirling our tails around... i'd want to do all of those things with Rinkus... just him and I spending time together having fun with each other in a deep, strong friendship.

Rinkus and I...  two rhamphorhynchuses... the best of friends.    Awwh. ;) heh heh.

I know some of you may be thinking "one-shot co-villain.. nothing special at all.." But no. I see a (fictional-fanfic) friendship between us.

I would love to become Rinkus's best friend, guys, I really mean it. He and I would make one funny duo together, and i'd love to do all of the things I listed above with him. I'd do anything to have many fun times and make good memories through a strong friendship with Rinkus.

There, guys, I spilled my heart out. That's what i'd want to have happen. Rinkus and I..  two rhamphorhynchuses.. bonded as best friends/buddies. :D What do you think? I'd LOVE to develop a very strong friendship and become best friends with Rinkus. I make a great LBT rhamph, too. (in "Flyers")

And I'd love to become Rinkus's best friend and be the best two buddies ever! ;)
