Yes the Donkey Kong Rap was sung by the actual Rare Staff and they sneaked it in at the end of making the game.

I have to agree with you. I realize now that the comment I made about TR: Legend having the best score was influenced by me thinking it was the funnest game of the series, however after playing it so often I found it was too linear. I only like the main theme and the mission summary from TR:L. I like the TRAOD score. It fit quite well with the overall feel of the game. Tomb Raider: Anniversary is my preferred score of the Tomb Raider series, with the original Tomb Raider score and TRAOD in second and Legend in third.

This is my favorite piece of score from Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness from the first level, the Parisian Ghetto. It gives the feel of mystery and invokes that kind of atmosphere ingame.

Aggreed though Ace Combat 6 gave us this little gem.

Assault Horizon, as messed up as it was, gave us this epic score.

I get what the creators were talking about when they said they wanted a "big band" feel. It sounds less orchestral than the Galaxy music to me, but it's also very upbeat and just fun sounding.
