One word describes this game: Underrated.

Gamers Zone / Games in need of sequels

If this were a few years ago, I would have said a new Contra that was like the classic style; but of course, low and behold, we got Contra 4 and the new Wiiware game.

Maybe a sequel to Gunstar Heroes. That was a fun game. Also, a new Double Dragon game would be sick. Oh, and I'd like to see another Ghouls n' Ghosts.

Thanks guys! The only thing is I'm at school right now. We celebrated half of my birthday on Saturday, and tonight we'll be celebrating the rest of it. :)

Sorry I haven't been active lately. I will try to get myself involved again.

Well what do you no I to had this thought awhile ago and I think it make sense for one reason...disney did own LBT for a little while so I don't see how it wouldn't match the Kingdom Hearts Game.

(no Ideas at the moment).
OK...just to clarify. At what point did Disney ever own LBT? Granted Don Bluth has worked on Disney movies before making his own (e.g. Robin Hood is a prime example) but Bluth was well into his own realms of movie making independent from Disney when LBT was out. Just because it was aired on Toon Disney doesn't mean Disney own it. They would just give Universal broadcasting rights to use their channel for airing (for a mighty fee I would assume) but it wouldn't exchange ownership.

Still, I've always contemplated the idea of an LBT world in Kingdom Hearts. KK23's awesome fanfic is about the closest that's come to it. Would be nice to see an update from ya on that fic matey  ;) The concept is easy to implement. I'd say, maybe helping Littlefoot and the gang get to the Great Valley after they've just joined up together as a group. Still, little wonders eh?  :DD
I'm not saying Toon Disney owned it. I'm just saying I saw it on Toon Disney once, which I found weird. Universal always owned it. But I'm an idiot when it comes to copyrighting and legal issues, so I don't know squat. XD

A Time Before Twilight's entire story resolves around the Land Before Time Universe, so if it was just another world in a KH game, I'm not too sure how to create a story around that. Most of the Disney worlds in KH were loosely based off of their respected movies, but they threw in fresh ideas. (Well, except for POTCB. They completely paraphrased the movie. lol)

I honestly don't know. I would like an original idea. Maybe a giant heartless is hiding out in the valley or something.

And, sorry about not updating. I've been actually thinking of a new way to write the story out. If it works, I could pump out a new chapter every week. Right now I'm really busy. It's hard when you have two other fanfics running at the same time.

Actually, I remember they showed LBT on...I think Toon Disney. I am not entirely sure.

Oh yeah; I forgot Don Bluth animated some of the Disney movies.

Actually, KingdomKey23, I did read your fanfic. And in return, it inspired me to do a Land Before Time/Kingdom Hearts comic XD. You never know though. Maybe one day Disney will bring in a 3rd party world. And Don Bluth did use to animate for Disney so I guess you could say his movies are honorary Disney films.
Really? Thanks. :) Did you make the comic yet? I'd love to see it.

lol, oh my god. I cannot believe I'm seeing a topic like this.

Perhaps you haven't read my fic, A Time Before Twilight. XD I have yet to update it though. Gives my own perspective. I kinda doubt it'd happen in real life though. Aside from the fact it's not Disney, I don't think people who hate LBT would like to see it in a KH game. XD

Silver Screen / Sequels you liked more than the original?
« on: November 10, 2009, 04:31:42 PM »
It is hard for a sequel to outmatch the original. There are rare cases, imo.

The Dark Knight (I'm surprised no one has said this one yet. XD Way better than Batman Begins)

The Rescuers Down Under (The original was kinda boring)

Shrek 2 (Really outdid itself)

Uh, not much else I can think of. Man, I gotta watch more movies.

Ah, yes. This game. At first I wasn't sure if this game was real, but that was quickly put the rest.

Well, I look forward to it. It's different, that's for sure. And, yeah. I know the creator's a Disney fan. I saw that video. Good to know he's not taking the characters to the extreme.

I'm getting it. The Wii is all fired up for it.\

BTW, question WR: What did you mean by "the game isn't going to be as dark as the initial impressions made it out to be." I might have seen the new updates, but not sure what to consider dark or not. Do you mean the character designs?

I've just started playing (only on like day 15 so far) but I'm actually quite impressed with how it plays. Granted the graphics aren't exactly cutting edge but the gameplay and system mechanics translate really well. Looks like you guys have already steamed ahead with the game's progress...just be careful not to drop too many spoilers without pre-warning us first! ;)
Great. And don't worry; we won't spoil ya.

I beat the game a few days ago. I thought it was good. :) I didn't really feel much for Xion though. I felt she was kinda thrown in to the game to add conflict. And I'll stop there; don't want to ruin anything.

Ha, ha, ha, BLAM. You gotta love them.

Well, aside from the one's everyone mentioned, there are actually some BLAMs from video games.

In Sam & Max Season 1, the War Song. Pretty random.

Plus, most of the scenes from Felix the Cat: The Movie. I can't even describe all of them. XD

I hope they won't have a card system like Chain of memories did.  I liked the game but not the card based battle system, as I recall.  Never had a console so have not played the main Kingdom Hearts game though.
I bought 358/2 Days the other day. Trust me, Kor, it's nothing like that. It uses a panel system. I can't really explain it well, but let's just say it is much better than the card battling in Chain of Memories.

Speaking of Chain of Memories, I actually liked Re: Chain of Memories. It felt better to play. Don't get me wrong, though; I still hate the card system.

I'd say give it try. It's pretty entertaining. Still can't wait for BBS. I think it's gonna be awesome!

Aside from Kingdom Hearts (which, ironically, I'm not that big of a fan anymore), I'm a fan of the Nintendo franchises. I just love them.

I am also a fan of Thatguywiththeglasses and AVGN. Those guys rock!

Wow! I can't believe it. I was a fan as a kid. I still remember that darn theme song from the original; it's so catchy that you can never get it out of your head. XD

I stopped watching after Space myself. I heard the series got bad when the show moved over to Disney. Either way, I almost can't believe it's finally ending.

Oh well. I stopped watching it anyway, but I do feel a little sad on the inside. Nothing too big, though.

From what I've heard, Square Enix have announced a "KH3" project but not confirmed it. Coded, Birth by Sleep and 358/2 Days are subsidiary titles spun off from KH2. They are stories moreso in to Organisation XIII and times before Sora became Keyblade master. Apparently, they are all due for release towards the end of the year. These games were already well in production probably in tandem with KH2 so while we were loving the Disney/Final Fantasy clash for a second time, Square Enix were already working on the 3 titles for portable consoles. Given that fact, if a KH3 project is in production, it's liable to have been in the making quite some time ago.
You'd be right with that. This new KH game will be an entry in the main series, from what I hear. I even heard that at the end of Birth by Sleep they are going to show some sort of teaser trailer. I dunno if that's true, but I look forward to it.

The DS KH game will be out in about less than two weeks from now. Look forward to playing it.
