Info: after the war with the Firenation, the USCM ship, "Escalaber" came to AV-476. AV-476 is the ID number for Toph's homeworld. the Ship sent a Dropship down to investigate the planet's inhabitance. the explorers met Toph and her friends, after a while Toph desided to Join the Marines. she was drafted into the 540th battalion, and through tough training spent 3 years in training. she was the youngest and the toughest of the squad. however even though her earthbending allows her to see, she under went surgery. a chip was placed inside her head to allow her to see by means of goggles built especualy for her. although she still uses Earthbending to see. its up to her weather she wants to use the goggles and it takes direct orders to make her to wear them. however if she feels its nessisary she will dissobay orders and deactivate the goggles so she can use the talents she was born with.
finaly Toph atualy has a talent in singing. she often sings songs she likes and at times will perform in a USO show. or just for her friends. she also loves to blow shit up with her M41X, and at times wields duel Pulse Rifles.
as for the design. I wanted her to look older. mainly because I felt having her look more like a soldier would be better.
I also had her hair cut. (standart issue in the Marines anyways) btw, this isn't the costume she'll be wearing in the comics. this is just to show the new design. unless you want me to draw her nude. wich some of you I doubt. I will do another of her in her armor sometime soon. and I will also remake the cover for the comic.
