Can't seem to hit anything while playing...all the monsters are higher up than my sights. Is there a way to pitch which I just haven't chanced upon?

It didn't work because your average person doesn't honestly rate every video, they generally either think "meh" and not even bother rating or "Yes! Five Stars!". The YouTube blog went into this in a little more detail, but it basically summed up that the vast majority of videos on YouTube are five stars. Thus, telling how popular a video was was a matter of seeing how many votes went into getting that five star rating, a workaround which they've essentially just taken and made standard.Quote from: Clawandfang,Apr 1 2010 on 08:22 PMHow didn't the 5-star rating worked? Personally I think that method was better than the current method; now I have to rate the video if I "liked it" or "didn't like it" just to see how well liked the video is. Not only is this inconvenient in my opinion, it's also much less descriptive. A 5-star rating, in my opinion, worked better than a simple "liked it" or "didn't like it" because it offered some "middle ground". Perhaps someone didn't like the video but didn't outright hate it, they could have chosen a 2-star rating instead of a 1-star. Perhaps someone liked the video, but not that much. They could pick a 4-star rating. And what if someone felt the video was a little good but not very bad? They could have chosen a 3-star rating. The new rating system now severely limits how a person can rate the video. They are no longer given much of an option, just a "liked" or "didn't like". That doesn't say much about the video.Quote from: pokeplayer984,Apr 1 2010 on 02:00 AM2. I liked there being the classic 5-star rating. That really didn't work though: the vast majority of videos I saw were either five stars (mostly) or one star.

I am one of those members who was under the impression that you'd been around here a lot longer than two years, especially considering how you've come to be one of the most prominent members on the GOF.I can dimly recall CT's earlier days, having been around nearly as long myself, and even I think in those terms these days. Mind you, I have been away for a good while.
Ego sum puellaeA girl speaking Latin with an extra "e" on the end of "puella" that is, heh.

My Avatar is a Chi-Rho; an early Christian symbol made up of two Greek letters which stand for "Ch"; the first two letters in "Christ."FYI: Chi in the Greek alphabet alone is the equivalent of "Ch", and thus Rho, being the equivalent of "R" would give you "Chr", the first three letters of "Christ".
What I don't like about wikis is the free-for-all editing and you cannot protect your own works. Even here, you can post stuff and the only people who can change your messages are you, and the staff. Even that security doesn't exist on wikis. That's probably the main reason you're not getting any support...creators want to know their works and descriptions are safe.True, although it's a simple matter to automatically keep an eye on a page; and anything obviously vandalism can be easily reverted. There aren't many people who will attempt to constructively edit something they know nothing about, unless it's just spelling and grammar issues, and the be honest, I don't think anyone here would mind someone else doing that to their work. I guess the idea of a wiki is that it isn't yours, it's like a contribution you make to the wiki.
As it turns out a fellow LBT fan on DeviantArt has requested that I create a Wiki page for a Land before time web comic of his...and that in my mind would certainly qualify as fan based non-canonical workMine too; that's exactly the kind of thing I'd like to see, a description with maybe an image or two and links.
