On wikipedia They have a LBT 14 article that hasn't been modified so I explained that there is no word yet on it. -_-

P.S. IT's best to talk about it consider it hasn't even been announced or greenlit yet.

Of course there will be a 14th sequal, but I'm sure not even the people at Universal know what it's gonna be about yet.  If there's is any information on the 14th sequal by a personal person, it cannot be factual as of yet.

Part of me wonders if we'll ever get to see the gang as teenagers or even adults.

Possible.
They acually have a storyboard too.
Like how Chomper and Ruby got to the Great Valley. Hmm...

I doubt there would be a whole sequal of teens/adults. Maybe a few scenes though.

Beats me, but if you ask me, you shouldn't trust Wiki at all. If they're planning to release the 13th movie, then the 14th wouldn't be released immediately. Am I wrong?

It's going to have to happen sooner or later. They can't be kids forever, unless they want to make it as unrealistic as possible (as if they haven't done that enough already).

Charlie Brown Syndrome is common in cartoons...

OF COURSE there'll be a 14, seeing how quick 13 came after 12...

I strongly disagree on both, the idea of the characters growing up as a mere matter of time as well as on the desirability of their growing up.
The characters lived through the time which it took for the Great Valley to regrow twice (once after it was devastated by fire), through the time it took for a newly hatched sharptooth to learn how to talk a foreign language, through at least one cold time (but judging from the other facts and Petrie's LBT 7 statement on five cold times being a very long time we can take it for granted that LBT 8 was not the first and only cold time they saw), and several seasons through which the treesweet tree regrew (at least three times). After they have lived through all this without showing any sign of growing up I don't think it is going to happen at any time as far as the movies are concerned.
While this may not be very realistic I must say that I feel much better about keeping the characters basically as they are (with the degree of learning character developement which we have seen in earlier movies). I see no need for them to develope any teenager "airs and graces".
There is yet another point to suggest that they are not going to grow up (though I must admit that I don't like that point). If they continue the process of making the movies for a more exclusively young audience they are not going to change the characters by making them older to include topics of no particular interest for the younger audience.

I hope they never grow up.  That would totally ruin the entire original concept of LBT.  They don't have to grow up.  For all we know, the movies are set days or weeks apart from each other.  It's not like they're gonna make hundreds of sequals (though that'd be nice).

Also, don't you notice that the "grown ups" don't do much?  What kinda show would LBT be if it consisted of only them?  And the gang all having children...that'd be terrible.  It'd be like they were replacing the gang.  I'd totally hate that. <_<

Most cartoons have often kids/teens as main characters or adults who are very childish.
It would also be wierd if they were all grown up and still playing like kids.

So I like it more when they are kids.

Another thing we need to factor is how long it takes them to grow up, if at all.  For all we know, ?? of our years could be just one of their's. :D

To be honest, I would like to see what the gang would look like as adults. I'm not talking about letting them age in the movie though. I'm talking about Universal doing something that Nickelodeon has done: released official character designs in a magazine or other source.

When All Grown Up premiered, a magazine was released and depicted some nick characters as how they would appear in 10 years time. These designs weren't meant to be used in a tv episode or movie, but just for fun.

It would be interesting, in my opinion, for Universal to do the same thing. Just release character designs of how the gang would look as adults. They don't have to be incorporated into a movie or episode.

The whole discussion gave me a rather weird idea for a land before time story. How about a land before time story about a legend about a kind of "fountain of youth"? If such a story was written in a way to keep the mystery mysterious it might be very interesting. One thing which I suppose would be very suitable for some funny dialoges is the fact that none of the five is likely to be very fond of the idea of a fountain that keeps them hatchlings (I can hear Cera screaming at the very idea of it :lol) while we have seen several characters already to whom the idea of such a fountain might have a very strong appeal.

Yeah, but what's the point of such a fountain if they're going to stay young forever anyway?
