Title: Tanner's Art
Post by: Cyberlizard on May 14, 2013, 12:54:35 AM
Figured I'd start posting some of my art up here.  I've been working on a style that's less anime/manga-like in favor of a more stylized appearance.  I'm drawing mostly from Don Bluth, given how if it weren't for his movies I wouldn't be a furry in the first place. xD

Here is my most recent refsheet of my fursona.  I'm still trying to get a few things down, and I've improved on my new style a bit since I started.  I'm especially enjoying drawing humans in this new style of mine.  But for now, here is my fursona's refsheet.

Background photo taken in Kumamoto Japan by yours truly.  :p

Wow! That looks awesome  :wow

Personally I prefer LBT artwork, but aslong as it's well done I don't mind art in general :P:
I haven't seen any mistakes which can be improved :)

Thank you very much, Kor and Ducky!  About time I finally got out my tablet again.  These pictures were originally colored pencil, but after I realized how clean digital looked, I fixed them up.  xP

Here's a little preview image for a cooking show I've been working on this summer.

And here is one of the graphics for the pilot episode.  Never plug Japanese appliances into an American outlet.  xP

Hello:
What I like the most about the second pic is how your shirt say what you are thinking even better than yourself (but that's just my guess) :lol .

 Very nice pics!

Thank you!  The t-shirt was an intentional easter egg I've recently started using.  Instead of a plain white t-shirt, I decided to use it as a canvas to put my sona's thoughts on.   :p

Nice! I really like these! The way you draw lights and darks really makes these stand out I think. Gives it a realistic lighting and compliments the scenery nicely.

Thanks everybody!  I appreciate the compliment, Pterano.  I drew inspiration for my shadow/highlight technique from Ken Sugimori, I drew inspiration for the toony style from Don Bluth, while trying to add a little of my own twist to it.  :p

THAT'S why it has a sense of familiarity to it! I couldn't place it before, but now that you mentioned those two, I'm like yeah... can totally see that now. :smile It's a great combo of styles. :DD

Hah, that's a brilliant idea! :DD

Really like these pics you uploaded - the coloring is really what I wold expect on a lizard, and I love those screenshots you overlapped with.
Truly, American engineers should be ashamed!! :o

I really like the concept of your lizard self :) The shirt you're wearing there is a good choice I must say :smile

Finally!  I got some actual art done!  It's been one hell of a semester I tell ya.

Worked on this picture for my new furaffinity account, which I should be moving to in the next couple of days.  xD

The angles and the facial anatomy are a little off, but I wanted to give off an exaggerated, silly yet somewhat creepy vibe to it.  :p
