Oh, come on. We've all read these books one time or another. I used to love goosebumps. Oh yes, R.L. Stine is a master. My favourite were the pick your own ending books. My specific favourite would probably be "Attack of the Beastly Babysitter."

It was just so much fun

I've read a couple when I was a lot younger (ages 6-7). I found the books to be boring and not very challenging so I moved on to computer repair manuals

Reading computer repair manuals at ages 6-7? o.O When I was growing up, people at that age were reading short, simple books that you find in the children's section. I never met anyone around the ages of 6-7 who found reading computer repair manuals to be fun or of any importance.

Ah! GoosebumpS! The TRUE scary stories for kids. Too bad back then that I didn't have such an enthusiasim to read, so the stories seemed boring due to that bad effect. Today though, I look at them and see them for the true brillance they held. However, I tend to enjoy the TV versions more. Truly scary!

And my favorite? I'm sorry, I can't decide.

I kind of liked them as a kid but I realized pretty quickly that they weren't scary at all XD Although not a book, the TV rival to Goosebumps, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" was much better at providing a scare. The scares in Goosebumps are too cheap for me, I guess XD But then, they are for kids.

My all-time favorite was "Welcome to Camp Nightmare." To this day, some of my writing is based off a similar scenario. Yeah, I used to read these books until I came across a King novel in my school library

R.L. Stine made a monster movie "Don't think about it" that was pretty good. watched it with my siblings on halloween, scared the heck out of them

Whilst I never read the novels, I remember seeing the television show version. That was scary enough for me.

Lets see.... I can remember reading one of those books in dutch, something with a mirror... but just once, I was more into the dutch writer Paul van Loon. I do put the goosebumps books away regularly at my work though.

Oh man, I still love Goosebumps. Some of my favorites were Legend of the Lost Legend, Welcome to Camp Jellyjam(freaky!), It Came From Under the Sink... I could go on. They're not very scary, but for some reason I love his writing style.

It is a characteristic of aspies to learn as much as they can about subjects that fascinate them, no matter what their age is. Just in the third grade alone, I memorized the weather cycle, forces of nature, the digestion process, the events of the sinking of the Titanic, how the heart works, and dinosaurs of course

. My only other interest was fairy tales (descriptively written, not picture books). Yeah, I prefered such material over children's books. I always get a kick out of the movie "Matilda" 'cuz she reminds me so much of myself at that age, reading book after book

I must have read near all of the Goosebump books, and year "Are you Afraid of the Dark" was much more scary than Goosebumops., there was a definite camp factor to the Goosebumps stories. My favorite Goosebumps, story? Vampire breath, because I 've always loved vampires..

Man, I saw one episode of AYAOTD when I was little, and it scared me half to death. It was about some dead guy who could travel through drains. For about a year after that I would yank open the shower curtain in a panic every time I walked into the bathroom

I used to love the Goosebumps series. I read loads of them but the only one I couldn't finish was "Night of the Living Dummy". The one about the ventriloquist's dummy that came to life at night. That one creeped me out so much :blink:

I love Goosebumps. I have over 60-70 of them. My favorite is "Calling All Creeps!", because of the cover. I heard that there'll be Goosebumps toys this fall.
