Sharpteeth were like leafeaters in more ways than most of them thought. Not only did they have the same intelligence and emotions, they also were prone to similar pain, illnesses, and injuries. And, as Whiteclaw demonstrated, they were also susceptible to stress...

Redfoot swung his tail a second time and caught Longtail in the belly sending him down onto the floor, and he laughed. "Don't you get it kid? No Sharptooth can ever beat us leafeaters...we are stronger than you know...and we can fight together as family instead of enemies like you sharpteeth!"

Longtail coughed and stood. "really...you think that...b-becuase I've been with my friends all my life, and honestly, they are my family!"

Whiteclaw found some grass and lay down... her mate began walking on her back to soothe her pain immediately. This made her roar with pleasure. He was quite good at this...

"Will you shut up?!" Doc yelled in leafeater, temporarily knocking Ateo off to the side, then rushing up and biting Redfoot's side.

Just then...Pterano came down to help Doc!

Whiteclaw gasped with pleasure after her mate finished her back massage. Her face had a large smile of pleasure on it...

"(pant pant) Glad to see that you (pant pant)... haven't gotten rusty." Whiteclaw said.

"Glad to see that you enjoyed it" Rutilas replied.

Whiteclaw fell asleep, muttering a "thank you" as she began to get her first good night's sleep in over a week.

Rutilas admired her sleeping form, but he decided to check out the rest of the valley. She would still be there when he returned later in the day, he was sure...

Rutilas came across a waterfall with many other sharpteeth in and nearby it... there were clearly no shortage of potential rivals... and yet... few of them looked like they could match him... there were also some females, but the majority of them weren't of his kind...

Ty had been about fly out when he noticed Pterano fly in, of course, he always had to beat them to the punch.

Ty darted over to where Longtail was after his tumble, "Thanks, and right now we're proving that by dragging you off for your own good" he stated getting a grip on Longtail and attempting to flap over to safety with him

((not that Longtail's not free to argue back and/or struggle free, Ty's not all that strong

Rutilas approached Longtail and the rest. He knew that he was jumping into the middle of something that was happening in the valley, but being a new resident, it concerned him, too.

"Hello. My name is Rutilas. May I ask what is going on here?" the large, green sharptooth said to longtail and the others. He knew that it would be somewhat odd for a large predator like himself to just walk in... but then again, it wasn't like there weren't any predators around here...

"ohhh...FINE!" cried Longtail as he turned and ran from the fighting. "I hate running away, especially when we're winning!" he muttered loudly to his friends.

Redfoot grinned triumphantly as he watched the sharpteeth turn tail and run away.
"Another disaster fought off...glad to see those silly sharpteeth know not to mess with our home!"

...and just as he said that, Pterano flew down, swiping Redfoot right in the eye!

Doc followed this up by charging into in and knocking the longneck on his side.

"You'll never win, coward..." he muttered.

Rutilas saw the sharpteeth run. He decided to follow them... hoping to get some information about what had just happened.

The sailed sharptooth shook her head, coming back to her senses, before she turned and ran out of the valley, her tail carrying her severed arm. As gruesome as it seemed, her young still needed to eat and her arm did have some meat on it that would suffice the young ones long enough for her to get something else for them to eat.

Ateo's eyes widened as he saw Doc knock Redfoot to the ground. He growled softly. "Oh no you don't..." He rushed towards Doc and leapt onto his back, clawing and biting.

Whiteclaw woke up, yawned, and stretched her legs, feet, and toes. Rutilas was gone... again. Probably looking for other females... again. She only put up with it because, for all his escapades, he was still protective of her and still cared for her... she had never caught him in the act, after all, but she could smell the scent of other females on him after an unexplained absence...

"Go on" Ty instructed the others, "I've got to...make sure Pterano actually get's back without getting himself injured or worse". Honestly, he saw what Pterano was attempting but sometimes the stubborn pride was just too much!

Whiteclaw walked through the water and the grass... she would have gone right back to sleep if her mate was there, watching over her or sleeping with her... now she was pissed... Rutilas was probably checking out some other females, and had probably hoped to be back before she woke... big mistake on his part.

Redfoot landed on the ground with a thud. He looked up and scowled at Doc as he knew the sharptooth would be trying something stupid. Redfoot then lashed out with his tail hoping to catch the giant sharptooth off guard. "Take that!" he said aloud.

Longtail turned back to face his friends and said,
"You guys need to keep up...I don't wanna have to fight my way out of here!"

Doc jumped to avoid Redfoot's tail swipe.
