The Fridge / HOME!!
« on: November 26, 2008, 08:00:56 PM »
It's been almost nine months now since I left and started my military training.

I'm going home in a week and I could not be happier.

The Fridge / Six Months
« on: September 10, 2008, 09:15:41 PM »
It's been six months since I've been away from home, fellow GoF peoples. Just wanted to pop in and say hi since I haven't really in a while. Uhm...I've spent four months here...and let's just say that four months at this place really makes one want to go out and subdue themselves to committing random acts of unnecessary exploding. There aren't many incredibly intelligent people here, and friendships are feeling tenuous at best with me. I'm just thankful I brought my LBT videos along with me when I got out of basic. X_X In any case, I blow happiness and woo at you all. Until next time. <3

The Fridge / It's ME!!!

Hey guys!!! I survived basic training! I'm kinda sorta back for now. Don't get too much on the details, but I have internet and a way to see all of you again, so I am happier than I was about three days ago. ^_^

The Fridge / Basic Training
« on: February 09, 2008, 09:10:48 PM »
I apologize for my absence everyone. I've been preparing myself for military life. Yes, that's right. I've been sworn into the United States Army.

No, I'm not going to be infantry.
Yes, I might have to go overseas to a certain place that has become taboo to talk about in such situations on other parts of the net.

I'll be reporting for basic training on the 28th of this month. Nine weeks will I spend in Missouri, and then Twenty-eight weeks of Career Skill training at an Air Force Base, and then three years of wherever it is that they will post me.

So, unfortunately, I must take a premature leave of you, my fellow GoF Members.

I will think about you when I'm on my belly in Basic, and when I'm training at the Air Force Base, and all during my three years.

I will try my best to pop on and say "Hi" if and when I can, but this will probably be the last you'll see from me for a long time.

I am very glad to have discovered you GoF, and it is now, sadly, that I must say Adieu.

WHAT HAPPENED TO HIP'S FACE!?!

Oh my gosh...

He looks like a flat-toothed crocodile. <_<

I liked everything about it so far...I've been watching it thanks to landbeforetimelover's link...but this saddens me more than spilled ice cream...And that's saying something because I really like ice cream!!!! :cry

Just...just...just...

Sound Off! / Remix?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if they have LBT songs remixed anywhere? I mean, this is the internet, and if a song exists it's been remixed somewhere....

Character Discussion / Bron
« on: January 29, 2008, 11:21:22 PM »
I was watching X today and I had a very interesting thought.

It started with Pat, that really cool snaggle-toothed longneck nicknamed for, (I would suppose,) being an apatasaur.

Upon this line of thought, I went to Bron. He's an apatasaur too, but he was named after the Brontosaurus. Any dinosaur nut here would understand this is kind of ironic, just considering that the Brontosaurus was found to not be a real species, rather a skeleton mix-up. Which comes to another interesting point, either in symbolism or maybe even movie continuity.

I know it's probably just a dumb thought of mine, but I just think it's interesting that Bron would possibly be named after something that doesn't technically exist. It's like the storytellers were trying to imply something. As far as beginnings, X had one of the more interesting ones. I mean, it started off with Littlefoot having a sleepstory and then all these other irreverent, almost convenient things happening up until he meets his long-lost father. Soon after, he only finds that his father's life is on a level that he is yet to keep up with, said father, (as stated before,) named after a species of dinosaur that doesn't exist.

I know I may be going a bit far here, but who's to say that Littlefoot never woke up from his dream at the beginning?

Nah, I'm just kidding. That would just ruin everything, even for me. And that's not cool, man. That's just not cool.

Anyway, just an interesting thought from a guy who has nothing better to do with his time.

Other than that, I thought Bron was quite awesome, and almost exactly what I pictured for a father of Littlefoot's, even if his name holds some irony in my mind.

The Fridge / Insomnia
« on: January 27, 2008, 06:59:17 AM »
I've always had a hard time sleeping, and my amount of sleep seems to have dwindled since I left high school. I don't know if its just me, or if its something else, but something about this has to stop...

I've gotten alot of the normal answers for this, and it seems that I grow an immunity to them after a while. Exercise before you sleep, read before sleep, watch TV before sleep, warm milk, count sheep, sleeping pills (the first time I took sleeping meds it was the worst, and most restless night of sleep I ever had).

I wanna know what you guys do when you can't sleep, because what I do doesn't help.
Driving down to Racetrack for coffee or soda...walking around outside...web-surfing...going for late-night drives...

The Fridge / Seems like May holds good news...
« on: January 26, 2008, 10:22:41 AM »
Not sure if I put this post in the right place, but...Bush is apparently trying to jumpstart the American economy this May, because in addition to the W2's that people will be returning he is also giving back quite the sums of money.

According to people I know who actually watch the news, because I'm too busy with internet and cartoons, the following things are to happen in May along with the tax returns.

If one was single and working last year and earned over 3,000$ in income, they are to receive 600$ along with their tax return. If the income was under 3,000$ they get 300$.

For married people it's somewhere in the range of 1,300$ and 300$+ for each child said married person may have.

I'm fairly certain this is all true, but I wanted to see if anyone else had heard of it...

It's a good idea.

It's midnight and I'm bored. If you have a better suggestion, or coffee, I would love to hear, or drink, it.

The Welcome Center / Holy Wow

Okay...where to start...

Well, first off, I just would like to say that I'm almost shocked that a place like this even exists, although exceptionally happy that it does.

I'm just a simple 18 year-old, my earliest memories are of watching the 1st one a hundred, thousand, million times as a toddler and still being almost completely obsessed with it even as the sequels came out.

Littlefoot and Chomper are my favorite characters. No exceptions.

It's hard for me to determine my most favorite one...I love the 1st one of course, but the 5th one had such a different feel to it, and alot of my most favorite songs are in it too...and then there was the Great Longneck Migration with Brom...Gah.

Also, where the heck did the 13th one suddenly come from? I didn't even see advertisements for it. O_o

Anyhow, I'm overjoyed to see this site. I almost shed tears of disbelief...haha...I'm a wuss..........

So it's nice to be here. And very nice to see that people still care about those five. ^_^
