Title: Watership Down
Post by: Petrie. on February 24, 2008, 05:42:45 PM
If you think LBT is hard to get a hold of on CD, try and get this animated classic. :p  I'm actually waiting to see how this one turns out because this is a new cd release (to me anyway) because I have the original cd release (which doesn't have tracks 17-20).

I would not be surprised to see this sell for over $60.00

*whistles* that's quite the find there, Petrie. B)
You're probably right; it probably won't go cheap!

I really ought to look into this soundtrack. I'm not very familiar with it.

Good luck.  I wonder if they have any tracks on the places that sell music on mp3 files that you can download.

amazon has it for the original cd (the one I have) so all you can't hear a sample of is the last three tracks.

As I've looked at the auction again, I've wondered about a few things.   Tack #17 is the pop version of Bright Eyes by Garfunkel which he's released on other cds so that can be found somewhere else.  The last two, I've no clue what those are or why they're there because #19 is exactly like #9, and #20 would be exactly like #16.  There were no differences between the film and the cd released.  I'm wondering if this is a bootleg.  I can't find anything about this new cd release at all online.

That is something to think about.  I don't know of anything to look for, maybe some other folks will.

Well I was wrong...it only ended up at $46.00 but I have a feeling some might've felt this was bootlegged because that's clearly not the widely known cd release from Sony.

A more reflective look at the value might come from this copy: http://cgi.ebay.com/Watership-Down-CD-Soun...ksid=p1638.m122 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Watership-Down-CD-Soundtrack-Rare-Deleted-Good-Conditio_W0QQitemZ190201687304QQihZ009QQcategoryZ1049QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p1638.m122)

The second one went a bit past $70 including shipping.  Someone even mentioned the cover issue in a question.

Very hard to find nonetheless.
