Except the end the game is ok. It is a shooter like ME2 but that is forgivable. There are epic moments like Mordins death or the peace on Rannoch, but at the end this is all for nothing.
I am somebody who needs a victory-option, but here nothing matters and there is every time destruction and every color choice feels like a loss. As described in the BSN it is with every choice the beginning of a galactic dark age.
And for what do I have to collect war assets? Only to get the green choice to create an universe full of Borg or to get a sequence where the earth isn't destroyed? (Although with regard to the Arrival-DLC it is possible that the shockwave of the mass relay explosion also destroys earth.)

1988 Theatrical Release / Born this way?

Have I missed something or where is written that he is younger?  In my opinion this is only some kind of laziness. It is more comfortable inside the egg then outside and so he doesn't break the shell until Ducky does it.

1988 Theatrical Release / An Odd Rumor
« on: January 05, 2012, 03:53:45 AM »
The main title of the movie is "If we hold on together" and the corresponding message is that they can do everything and manage all dangers if they work as a team of friends.
If they would be all dead in heaven then the message would be something like "If we hold on together, we will fail together".

Alright, can anyone who has the book list all the scenes that are exclusive to it? ....

Do you mean the Illustrated Story book? Why don't you buy your own copy for some Cent at f.e. Ebay or Amazon?

1988 Theatrical Release / Littlefoot's treestar

If you watch the scene you'll see he has plenty of time to actually grab it; he simply should have looked at the Sharptooth in panic after it had put its foot in the footprint

I think that is one of the altered scenes in the cut movie. In the Illustrated Story book Littlefoot tries to lure Sharptooth away from his friends with mounted Petrie and the treestar. And Petrie drops the star because Sharptooth almost catches both.

In my opinion that was also the order of events in the uncut movie because in the scene of the cut version at first you can see how Littlefoot runs without Petrie on his head and afterwards suddenly Petrie is on his head.

...I'd also like them to find Spike already born and the same freakin age as the gang, rather be a baby one minute and then same age as the rest of the gang...

He is as old as the others but he is only to lazy to get out of the egg. In my opinion there are two different sizes, because the egg would be too large when Ducky cracks the shell.
The same is when Cera and Tops meet at the end. You have to see both to know what is going on. With Cera much smaller you would only see Tops tip of the snout or Cera as a small dot on the screen.

Where is the scene with Rooter extended? It is the same as in the movie. Instead this part is shorter because the following animation with the little flyers is missing.

I am not sure about the end. In the book they huge each other, then they enter the valley and finally Littlefoot talks a last time with his mother.
The scene was actually after spikes birth, not the ending:

http://web.archive.org/web/20040205200020/...letedscenes.php

It supposedly has a picture about the scene not shown here too.

"On the following page, there is a scene that was not in the movie. In this picture, the quintet of five dinosaurs is gazing around a barren land at dusk after having walked through a tunnel. There is no specific caption for the picture except Cera is in wonder as to when they will find the Great Valley."
Then you mean extended birth scene of Spike and not extended Rooter scene.

And the picture on that page is from the movie when they are all together in the valley after Littlefoot calls the others (You can see it also on the cover of that book). There is no picture of a deleted scene, the images from the movie are only a bit mixed up in that book.

In my opinion at least the background of the cel with mother is a fake. It looks too much like something created with a digital tool like Photoshop. The original backgrounds are much more washed out.

In my opinion the Skyrim soundtrack is very good.

My favorite: link
Absolutely epic if this song is played while you are attacked by a dragon.

1988 Theatrical Release / Littlefoot remembers his own birth. What?
« on: October 31, 2011, 03:46:16 AM »
The producers summarized all the scenes with the beautiful moments of his life as some kind of  flashback. Don't interpret too much in that.

General Land Before Time / how old is Guido?

I would also say, in human age,  a young grown up in the 20s. His voice doesn't sound like that of a child or teen.

I also think this is before the scene with the beetle.

But I could be wrong because Cera looks more like later in the movie than Littlefoot when she is born.

Silver Screen / Dinosaur Revolution

In my opinion, the story with the old Protoceratops is the only good one. The others contain too much bloody slapstick.

There is another show called Planet Dinosaur on BBC, which is more scientific.

General Land Before Time / Do you want Universal to make another sequel LBT
« on: September 26, 2011, 02:12:00 AM »
Yes next to 2D drawings they also used CGI in the sequels for the backgrounds but the quality is extremly poor if you compare it with other movies or cutcenes of games (f.e these of Blizzard).

I prefer 2D. They have some kind of magical touch and in general acceptable stories.

Spielberg + Bluth is a no-go as we have seen in LBT1 and afterwards. They are to different in case of the opinion about the content of a movie.

General Land Before Time / Should Universal Bring Back LBT?
« on: September 03, 2011, 10:30:36 AM »
The bad thing is that today creators of movies have no idea of a good story.
In most cases we get a stupid soap opera or an action movie full of special effects which you see now and will have forgotten in some weeks. Furthermore many movies for kids treat young people as idiots with the use of almost non-stop stupid slapstick.

I don't know if it would be a good idea to create a new movie under such circumstances.
