I can't see the original being given away at all no matter what video you buy.  It's just not right.  Maybe the tv ep dvd, but not the original! :cry2
I know. Universal is really terrible with thier original classics. They don't release and/or advertise at all.

Yes it was a feature film that was rather dark and may not have been very popular.
Up. Geez, I'm stupid. the Black Caldroun. He did the early designs.  :lol

I never tell anyone I love animated movies...they know about TLK, but that was to be expected. No one knows about Balto, The Land Before Time, An American Tail...I have all the songs on my Ipod but I have weird code names for them and I lock my Ipod during your school. haha.
Hey, I have to survive high school, i have a good three years left. ^^

They wouldn't surely make a new movie a "throw-away" gift, would they? I really don't get the beef with giving away copies of The Land Before Time (and that isn't really what they're doing now, as in this three-pack, it would still account for a third of the price).
It's really a shame on how the old classics are overlook by the cheaply made sequels. The Land Before Time was once a huge hit...and now it's restored to this, being packed away in a cheap DVD set with horrible quality and cover art. But hey, at least theyre releasing it.

it is kind of sad to see this movie being offered as a free bonus sad.gif

That's terrible! :o Usually they only give away stupid useless special features and they have lowered the original masterpiece to that!
Hmmm...I would have thought the 11th would have been the throw-away gift...the first one is pure genius.

General Land Before Time / Why Do You Like LBT?
« on: September 17, 2007, 05:40:23 PM »
I liked the original just because of the dark themes, like having the death of a parent and having to find something all on your own or differences don't really matter when you are in need.
Other huge pluses as well as the animation was very detailed and they used very earthy colors.  And the scenery was to die for, it was so beautiful. The score also....aw man. I want to do the Overture with an orchestra. It's so good.

I liked the sequels just because they were adorable. The songs were corny, the plot line had nothing to diwht the first, but that still did not overlap the cuteness!

Actually, the original LBT movie runs at $7.50 at my local Wal-Mart, and I'm sure An American Tail runs at a similar price.

Holy crap! :o The only reason I haven't gotten another copy of the original LBT dvd is because it's labeled as a "classic" and it is $25 at my walmart and $20 at costco.
I can't even FIND any at my local Target or Wal-Mart or Costco.   Or even Blockbuster....gotta get myself a car and go on a hunt. haha,

Yea I've been into voice actng ever since I remember the only thing that's ever held me back from thinking about doing it professionaly it's the fact that I tend to stutter and I have a lisp but for my own personal projects and for silly little fandubs they turn out alright :D

I feel like I'm boasting please don't let me boast! We're all equal here right?
You have the right to boast, my dear. Not many people can say that they were animated voices. ^^
In my high school, nothing intresting like this happens, so I turn to this for intresting news. So be feel free to tell me intresting stories! I REALLY love to hear them....or read them, whichever you prefer. ^^

Ahaha...well it's not the offical dub or anything it's more like a parody take on the official dub if that makes any sense?
Yea. But still it's pretty cool anyway you look at it! ^^

Teresa actually made a valid point. I would have had this, but I disregarded Atlantis: The Lost Empire because it wasn't a one-word title, so there are technically only 10. That was, in fact, a trick question.
The Working U.S. title was Atlantis....therefore I counted it. I should have been a little more specific.

fiance? Geez, I'm a youngin' haha. That's pretty cool though, voicing for a TV show like that.

Swan Princess and The Scarecrow...hmm, I think I saw that a few years back. But it's great to have another Balto fan here with me!

Here is a little tidbit of Balto...everyone's favorite part, the White Wolf scene.

Balto: White Wolf Scene

Enjoy!
Threehorn--> 20.00 is VERY good for all three of these classics, considering they'd proably cost 20.00 each seperatly. Go for it!

And given all of your references and your avatar, I can also see that you're quite the Balto fan. Did you also make your avatar as well? :)
Actually Manny Cav. I am a Lion King fan first anf foremost. Balto is just a subject being around Balto Source (or The Lion King Source...they're both the same) has given me a lot of information on the real Balto. My sister is also obsessed with this movie, so when she talks, I actually retain some of it. ^^

no, i did not design my avatar. Only signature! I make them when I'm bored. I think I may have one or two other LBT ones, but I'm not sure. Most are The Lion King.

Are you a Balto fan as well?
