By the way, here's my take on TCB:

The Conversion Bureau: A Dark In the Light

Yeah, it's a war story and it gets pretty violent.

On a sidenote, I noticed that TCB fics tend to be hugely stigmatized. To be fair, a lot of the early TCB fics (including the original) were just plain bad wish fulfillment self-inserts with unsubtle misanthropy. And the most prolific and famous TCB author, Chatoyance, is an absolute misanthrope with an enormous ego and obnoxious attitude.
