Occurs between LBT I and II. The protagonists are around the same age and retain the same personalities as their counterparts from the first film, i.e. Cera's a lot nastier, Petrie's more random, Littlefoot's kind of emo, etc. Anyone who wants to join is welcome, and while this'll likely start out free-for-all I'm completely open to plot ideas  :cerahappy
Taken characters:
Littlefoot - @Stardisk
Cera -
Ducky -
Petrie - @Sharpely
Spike - @Goldenwind
Grandpa/Grandma Longneck -
Mr. Threehorn -
Sharpteeth (multiple roles) -
Hyp - @Goldenwind
Nod - @Sharpely
Anyone else, feel free to add!

Discussion thread: https://www.gangoffive.net/index.php?topic=16975.0

It was a cool, breezy day in the Great Valley, and while it wasn't very sunny out, novice flyer Petrie was enjoying the feel of the cool wind in his wings. There'd been an awful lot of rain lately, and he was just grateful for a chance to hone his skills without threat of getting drenched. He let out a satiated cackle as he allowed a particularly strong breeze to catch him midair and spin him upside down, flapping jerkily to stay upright. Narrowing his keen eyes, he started to look around for anyone--or anything--interesting.

(This sounds like a very interesting RP. X) I am alright with joining in as Spike or Hyp if no one else wants to take them. I want to be Hyp partially because I find a prequel where he meets the gang to be interesting. XD Also, could there be a discussion forum for this to share ideas while the RP goes on?)

I have never participated in forum RPGs, so, I think, it would be interesting experience...
So, if nobody still hasn't taken Littlefoot, may I take him?

(Gonna put in a intro here.)

Spike is just being Spike... Happily eating the fresh greenery around him. The greens and tree stars tasted so good and fresh compared to what he has eaten intially when he first arrived into the world. He is quite young, but has suprisingly matured a bit. Although he is still quite absent minded.

A bipedal leaf eater stomps about eating some sweet bubbles. He takes a deep breath as he enjoys the peace and quiet of being alone. It was as if he went through such a dangerous and treacherous journey and he doesn't know how to feel about his new home.

Petrie squinted at the shape of a familiar spiketail below him. Spike was minding his own business, meandering along as he ate some fresh green food. The little flyer's beak twisted into a snicker; Petrie loved to mess with his friends, even if it often came back to bite him. He swiftly careened into a tree and nipped loose the crispiest treestar he could find. His beak salivated as he imagined eating it himself, but where would be the fun in that? "Hi there, Spike," he trilled, floating casually down next to the spiketail and hovering inches away from his face. The treestar was held out in plain view, its stem gripped in the flyer's grinning beak.

Spike smiled to see Petrie. After all he has been through with the gang, he has grown a huge sense of comfort being around them… Especially when they have food.  :^^spike :TreeStar Spike goes to nip slowly nip the food away from Petrie unaware of what he has in store for him.

The flyer's eyes glinted as he watched Spike docilely smile and open his mouth, ready to take a bite out of the crispy leaf. "Ah ah," Petrie chided, flying just out of reach with a little smirk on his beak. He alighted on top of the spiketail's head and looked down at him between the eyes. "Spike's got no manners! None! What Spike's mother would say, Petrie sh-sh-shudder to think!!" With every exclamation, he shook the leaf a little more in front of Spike's eyes.

Spike could barely understand Petrie… His mother… Spike loves his new mother and his new family… He remembered how he was welcome with delicious treesweets. "Have as many as you want~" those words rang as if Spike expected his new mom to be okay with snagging greens. Spike continued to nibble after the leaf.

The bipedal dino with the intimidating face see's the two young leafeaters messing about and grunts somewhat annoyed. He is laying under a shaded tree in the valley. "Big dumb hatchlings…" He muttered, rolling his eyes. Seeing those two act like that feels like an insult to him.  :rhett_upset

Petrie let out a malevolent snicker, ready to snatch the leaf out of reach again, but he'd gotten too cocky waving the treestar right in front of Spike's open mouth. In a flash it was caught, and Petrie waved the stem again only to realize there was no longer a leaf attached. He looked from it to Spike incredulously, beak agape.

Spike happily chewed on the treestar. The little game he had with Petrie made it feel all the more rewarding to the simple minded spiketail. He gives a slight cheerful mumble as he smiles at the flyer.  :^^spike

Petrie glared at Spike, his beak twisted into a displeased frown at his taunting game being cut short. But as he watched Spike crunch on the leaf, his heart softened. It looked like Spike was really enjoying it, and he probably didn't get to eat treestars as much as someone who could reach them like Petrie himself. He smiled contentedly, glad he'd done a good deed for his friend, and flew a couple of laps around Spike's head. "Me get more treestars to share with Spike!" he sang before flying back up into the boughs of the tree.

(I'm gonna start playing as Nod for some variety. Should Hyp know Mutt/Nod beforehand?)

A younger Nodosaurus trudged solemnly along the uneven soil, through the deep footprints of a family of Threehorns that had recently come through. Nod was a pretty lonely kid, and his parents worried about him, but none could doubt he was trying his best to fit in.

(Hmm, I feel like it be interesting to see what a first meeting between the two could be like if it's fine.  :olittlefoot I have a idea for how Hyp could introduce himself.)

Spike jumps up and down excitedly and makes a happy grunt as if to say "Thank you!" to the flyer. He sits and waits patiently.

Hyp couldn't really stand those two. He got up and walked away. Hyp would rather be alone than deal with anyone... including his father. It feels like he can't relate to anyone... That's what he thought until he stumbled upon a certain Nodosaurus walking in threehorn tracks... Litteraly. "ACK!" Hyp tripped over a threehorn print. "Threehorns..." He mumbled laying in the print.

Littlefoot has appeared in sight. He had not enough sleep last night, so now he is very sleepy.
- Good morning... - he said trying to suppress a yawn. - What are you doing? Having breakfast?
And he heads to the nearest branch with leaves which his friends haven't eaten yet.

Petrie flew a couple of sharp zigzags in and out of the branches, shaking leaves loose and making hyperactive "Blrlrgrhrh!!!" noises. He flew back down and alighted on top of the decent-sized pile he'd made for Spike, then noticed a bleary-eyed Longneck coming towards them "Hiya, Flathead," he greeted Littlefoot, flying over and sitting on top of his head. He peered down to look Littlefoot in the eyes, tilting his head curiously. "Flathead no look so good. Rough night?"

Nod kept meandering slowly along, his head hung low to keep track of where he was stepping. Hearing footsteps, he looked up to see a Hypsilophodon about his size coming towards him. Nod's social anxiety immediately started to kick in, and he started edging backwards. Just then though the other young dinosaur tripped over one of the Threehorn prints, letting out a sharp yell and landing face-first in the mud. Nod blinked, then let out a snicker at the other's misfortune in spite of himself.

- Petrie... how many times I've asked you not calling me "Flathead" - responded Littlefoot chewing a leaf. - But yeah, I had insomnia... again.

"Flathead no get good night's sleep, huh? Petrie slept like hatchling." The little flyer curled up on the bridge of Littlefoot's snout and pretended to snore loudly, obviously just trying to get a rise out of the sleep-deprived Longneck.

- I am very happy for you. But now get out of my nose and let me eat in peace...
Littlefoot shook his head trying to remove the annoying flyer from his face. Petrie has flew up a bit and was hovering in the air in front of Littlefoot.
- By the way, - Littlefoot added , - where are the others? Still sleeping, aren't they?

Spike happily chews on the pile Petrie has gathered for him. He gives a happy grunt to Littlefoot as if to say "Good morning!"

Hyp growls at the laughter… "Yeah, yeah, very funny." He makes a ball of mud and from the print and throws it in retaliation, snickering while doing so.
