1988 Theatrical Release / Oasis Scene
« on: May 01, 2017, 11:24:19 PM »
Since there's a lot of reused animation in the film, it might be worth seeing if any of the bigmouth or domehead footage may have been reused. Also, I just got in contact with Jim Razzi, so he may have the answer.

I was thinking it might be nice to have a gallery of all the deleted scene fragments.

1988 Theatrical Release / Sharptooth's Eye
« on: November 06, 2016, 01:04:31 AM »
The only remaining question is: did the extra sharptooth stuff get animated? I know there's a couple frames floating around, but the eye could have been the product of animators following rearranged storyboards.

I saw it as one of those family special weekend movies. Quality was DVD level. Nothing new.

1988 Theatrical Release / Sharptooth's Eye
« on: November 06, 2016, 12:32:47 AM »
Well, there's one mystery explained. I never could figure out how the deleted frames of sharptooth standing by the thorns fit in, but apparently, the storyboards show that Littlefoot got caught in the vines BEFORE entering the brush area. Whether or not this was changed during production is debatable, but it could explain why Sharptooth's eye is closed before being hit with thorns.http://markpudleiner.blogspot.ca/2015/06/p...oards-land.html
Edit: This may have been pointed out already. Oops.

If his address is online, can't you just send him a letter, yourself?
I'm not good at writing letters. :p

He's the author of the illustrated story book. He might know something about the cut scenes. Can someone send him a letter? His address is online.

1988 Theatrical Release / Peter and the Wolf in OST

I was listening to Peter and the Wolf, and I noticed that certain segments of the LBT soundtrack are carbon copies of this piece. Does anyone know why this is?

Why am I writing this? Because I can!
I don't really feel like posting the whole thing here, but it can be easily found on the JP legacy forum. I might put up a link here, if I'm allowed.

I think I've found what may be a first edition VHS tape on Ebay.  The shipping to the UK is too much for me to be able to afford, but one of you might be able to get hold of it.  It's listed as "1989", which I'm pretty sure was the release year of the first edition, and I've contact the seller to ask about the runtime (no answer yet, but I should hopefully get one soon).  Anyway, if anyone wants to try their luck and bid on it, here's the URL! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=151258322003
I found a first edition yesterday. Wish me luck!

I kind of like 'Who Needs You?".

I hate 'Say So'.

The Fridge / More voice acting stuff.

I'll be brief. I'm making a video. I would like some lines. Just record a 5-10 second audio bit of you reacting to a tiger attack. Keep it PG. Let me know how you want to be credited (name, etc). I need a few before tomorrow night. Cheers! And thanks!

1988 Theatrical Release / Letters to the crew?
« on: March 15, 2014, 10:02:12 PM »
So I've written a letter to James Horner, and he hasn't responded yet, but I hope to glean some information re the cut scenes. I'm also going to send one to Jim Razzi (author of the books) to see if he knows anything whatsoever. Maybe we should all get together and try to contact every person involved with the film that we can find. I'm sure some previous animators or sound crew would have interesting info . . .

The Fridge / I need ideas!
« on: February 20, 2014, 02:43:31 PM »
I'm bidding on rent-a-prefect at my school, and I want to know what stuff I can make him do. Within reasonable boundaries. Ex: Jumping jacks, talking in weird ways, favours.

General Land Before Time / If you could add one character to the Gang
« on: January 23, 2014, 05:42:05 PM »
Mo seems logical. He'd add more diversity. Now we have the token water character, yay! That being said, it would be hard to incorporate him frequently.
