Ask Me / Re: Tails77 Q&A

question 13: Canada, why? because it is essentially (from what I can see) America "lite version". its not as in the spotlight 24/7 and generally cooler in temperature (which I like)

question 14: probably early and mid fall, you see, I live in an area that is usually in one of two extremes in temperature, either 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit with full humidity or as far down as 5 degrees with ankle deep snow. "fall" as you would call it here is essentially a maybe 3 week period at best where the temperature is cool and crisp but not freezing

question 10: the willful stupidity of teenagers at my school, I get sick and tired sometimes when I here a student going over their grades, see their averaging Ds and maybe straight up failing some classes and just react with "well, that stinks". I cannot tell you how many times the teachers at my school have yelled at a student for not even beginning work from several weeks ago and the student just shrugs it off or even in some cases yells back like the teachers are the problem and not them. I find it just awful to know something is wrong and not do anything about it. (sorry it sounds like I'm venting, it's just that really REALLY aggravates me)

question 11: I'm not really into playing instruments but I really like guitars in hard rock, softcore rave music is also a soft spot of mine

question 12: i'm pretty set on the foods I like and don't like...but I would like to at least try the food I stay away from even though I haven't tried it (yes, I am one of THOSE kids)

question 8: we have a number of fish and a chiwawa at our house.

question 9: off the top of my head I would probably be happy to watch the second "Incredible Hulk" movie any time

thanks stardust!
question 6: yes, I REALLY love the "Halo" franchise, I also like a lot of other titles that generally fall under the "action" category

Question 7: I not really sure what you mean, do you mean Land Before Time songs or just songs in general? for the former, I never really cared for or just straight up hated the songs that LBT sung and I often just skip those parts, as for the latter, I've found myself enjoying "Breaking Benjamin" and I really enjoy singing some of their songs (at least the ones that don't have much screaming) most recently "Tourniquet" (for some reason I also enjoy thinking of Littlefoot singing some of their songs for some reason, especially "Angels Fall")

question 4: I know I'll sound REALLY childish but to recent memory I recall really liking the second SpongeBob movie, the other Don Bluth movies also seem like something I'd like. all in all I'll pretty much be into anything that isn't just two hours of jingling keys to keep your kids quiet.

question 5: no, I'm not really into sports, I used to participate in school gym class and I was pretty good at lot of the games they played until on the first day of 9th grade they changed out the players for giant aggressive jocks and one of them threw a dodgeball at me at the speed of sound and scared me into simply walking the halls for the rest of the school year and most likely until graduation

Ducky is, in my opinion, probably one of the cutest characters out there.
she kind of represents the innocence of childhood to me, what with her constantly playful and happy attitude.

I always found my heart rate increasing every time I saw ducky in some sort of peril (thanks a lot, Journey through the mist!), I guess that's the same reason I can't bring myself to read that "swimmer trials" fanfic...oh well.

she'll always be one of favorite characters in pop culture!

would it be alright if I were to stop writing this? I get a feeling this is gonna end up being a complete train wreck. looking at how the story was going to progress I get a feeling it was going to really be nothing the people on here would really like. after all I wrote the story with less real effort than most of the stuff I write.

i'm really sorry about putting this up. I really should have thought it through and not fire from the hip, I'll write something else a little better, I promise

thanks for the feedback, I'll work on it.
I think the main problem is that I copy-paste this from google docs, I'll add more time to making it look better.

I was really wondering if this was worth continuing, considering the vast differences between this and most other stories on here. but then I thought "you know what? It's already on there, might as well stick to it!" so yeah, that's what I'm gonna do! here is the next chapter!

Chapter 1
15 years later…
Only a few mere candles kept a dim light within the quiet tent. The serene silence was slightly broken when a brown longneck, about the size of a fisherman’s ship, walked through the thick curtains. This was Littlefoot, he had grown at an average speed over the short fifteen years of his life but had not come to the full size of his race. Strapped around his back was a large blanket made from the pelts of several cattle, Robeth would ride atop him whenever they left the village. The two had grown up together like the brothers they were made to be, through harsh winters and warm summers, the two times the village caught fire, and even the attack on the village by a monster, the day he had come here to remember. Littlefoot bowed his head at the shrine and closed his eyes. He remembered the one day that had haunted him for the last ten years of his life and, in his mind, would haunt him forever. The screams of the village people still rung out in his head, as did the roars of Sharptooth.
He desperately tried to hold back his tears as he thought about cries of pain as his grandfather made as the beast pounced upon him with the type of youth that he no longer had. He always thought the last words of his grandmother would be “I love you, sweet Littlefoot.” but instead they were “Protect the younglings! Don't let sharptooth get to th-” before she could say anything else there was only the sound bone snapping. He could practically see the memory playing in the darkness of his closed eyes of him and Robeth running into the gates of the village as several warriors led by Tyler charged out to defend their home. He thought about how the few minutes they spent in the elder's chamber felt like hours as they listened to the battle rage outside. The sound of loud crashing drove the both of them to simply peak outside to see what was happening, and that was when he saw it, the sight of Sharptooth tearing into the flesh of his prone mother. Tyler was able to drive the beast away by digging his axe into its eye, but that could not save his mother. Everyone watched as the young longneck shared its mother’s last moments together with her. He would never forget her last words, “let your heart guide you… it whispers...so listen closely.”. Tears streamed down Littlefoot’s face as he finished his memory “Allfather, please, take good care of them.” he begged Odin as he prayed. He switched his prayers to his family “are you all happy there? I hope so. I know you won't be really happy until the Gods call me home.”. “Call me home.” those words rung out in his head repeatedly, in the back of his head he always begged for that moment to come soon. A few more quiet, contemplative minutes went by before the tears finally stopped, “Until the gods call to me…” he whispered. Littlefoot coming to the shrine to pray was a common occurrence, he’d usually go on the anniversary of his family’s demise but he also went there whenever he felt sentimental, lonely, or sometimes just spiritual. He took one last look at the shrine to say goodbye when he heard a voice. “Littlefoot?” the soft yet mature tone called out, Littlefoot looked behind him to see his brother and ally, Robeth. The small white coyote/wolf pup had grown into great warrior, standing at least a full head above most of the other warriors, he had an above average muscle mass which his light wool clothes did little to hide. “What are you doing here?” Robeth asked with a look of concerned confusion on his face. Littlefoot looked at his ally with embarrassed surprise, he always preferred to be alone at times like this and on top of that he hated having others see him so glum like like he was. He looked for an excuse “”Robeth! I..uh...I was just...uh.” his face faded back into its solemn look, Robeth was smart enough to see through any lie and he also had a natural instinct to tell the truth. It didn't matter anyway, Robeth gave a knowing nod indicating he already knew why he had come to the shrine of the fallen, there was only ever one reason anyone would come here. Littlefoot turned his head to the shrine and took another look at it as Robeth walked next to him. “I...I just miss them….so much.” Littlefoot whispered as he felt the tears well up again. Robeth put a hand on his shoulder “you know you don't have to come here to feel their presence with you, that's why we had that rune carved into your shoulder” he told Littlefoot as he lifted part of the blanket, revealing a large and intriket scar on his shoulder. When deciphered from the ancient language of the first Vikings it read “may the fallen watch over their familiar from their seat in Asgard” a common phrase used in runic scars. Littlefoot frowned “yes, I know, but.. their presence just feels stronger here.” He explained. Robeth gave a nod “I understand…but I don't think your family would want you to be consumed by grief like this.” Robeth answered, much to Littlefoot’s embarrassment, THIS was what he hated when Robeth caught him like this. “They’d want you to remember all the good times you had together and live the rest of your life happily..” Robeth continued “besides, you still have a family, us” he finished. Robeth gave a gentle smile to his ally, Littlefoot closed his eyes and thought about what he said, it was all true, so why did he still feel bad? he didn't know why, all he knew was that he wanted to stop feeling bad, so he accepted what his brother had said. “Your right, I'm sorry Robeth, I just wanted to remember them.” Littlefoot answered “don't feel bad, Littlefoot, it's okay grieve.” Robeth returned “to be honest I thought you would come here, givin what today is.” He explained as Littlefoot nodded, feeling a little better.  It was the Clan reunion, Robeth’s uncle Wadren’s part of the Clan from across the sea had come for the annual meeting of the Clan sects. “Come on, brother we’ve stalled this meeting for long enough.” Robeth chuckled sarcastically, Littlefoot knew exactly what he was talking about, Bjorn and his ally, Cera. Robeth walked out of the tent first, Littlefoot could hear him speaking “all right, here he is! The final piece of our puzzle!” He announced dramatically, Littlefoot decided to play along and stuck his head out of the tent “ta-d-” he attempted to say only to be caught off guard by what he saw. Bjorn and Cera looked a little different than when he last saw them, which was a long time ago. Bjorn always stood on the small size, the light brown wolf came up to just below Robeth’s chest but made up for his small size with a muscle mass of an average sized warrior, he had only grown slightly in size but caught Littlefoot off guard the most was Cera. the orange three horn was only about half his size but now she was almost fully grown and the stubs of horns on her head originally had grown one and a half feet in length. They both stared at him smugly “what’s the matter longneck, ya miss me?” Cera said in that odd “Scottish” dialect that Bjorn’s tribe speaks in. Littlefoot snapped out of his trance of surprise and tried to think of something “uh, hi Cera..you look a little-”. “Different, I know, right?” Robeth finished his sentence, chuckling “I always thought Cera’s face would be a representation of a threehorn’s imagination, flat and uninteresting!” he continued, much to the laughter of of his ally and annoyance looks of the others. “Now ye watch that mouth ya mountain’a crap! Cera’s herd is somana toughest threehorns north of the frankish coastline!” Bjorn yelled at his cousin, attempting to take a swing at him but being held away at arms length. Robeth chuckled at his cousin’s attempt to attack him and the ease with which he could defend himself, Bjorn made up for his size with sheer will power as he continued for around a full minute before he finally gave up. “Come on, let's walk and talk.” Robeth suggested and the others agreed. They walked down one of the paths that branched away from the main village path, they could see the sheer hustle and bustle of the village center as the more rowdy members of Wadren’s scottish elite warriors already boozing themselves silly. “So, last I heard your father has found himself a mistress?” Robeth asked curiously, all he had heard in the message was that Wadren had finally married which made him think his crazy uncle might finally be settling down. “That’s right, me father finally found the woman of his dreams.” Bjorn answered pridefully “Yep, and she’s a total queen of sass, I plow the fields better’en any of me herd, yet she STILL thinks i'm lazy!” Cera complained. That answered Robeth’s question of WHO it was, that silvery fox Stenya was the kind of woman Wadren needed. “Speaken’a which..” Bjorn said with a devilish smile spreading across his face “Oh boy, here we go, your gonna tell one of your bawdy tales again aren't you?” Littlefoot asked with annoyance, this was something he hated about the Scots, Vikings could be crude, but he guessed because Wadren’s clan was so far away from the others they never got news of more chivalrous behaviour becoming popular. “Ya dang right!” Bjorn answered
“a couple moons before we set sail I was huntin’ me a mighty fat boar, took me me a couple’a hours to track him down but I found him.” Bjorn explained already showing massive amount of pride. “So I was just pulling me bowstring back to take’em down when I hear a nasty growl to me right and what do I see? A BLOODY WOLF! Givin’ me hungry eyes!” he continued, trying his best to sound dramatic and scare Littlefoot. “I had no choice, I swung me bow around and fired right into the gullet of the beast as it charged me, but the boar heard everything and ran off! But I wasn't  goin’ ta lose me a catch like this’n no way, so I leaped at the pig with all my might and gave it a good stabbin’ in the neck!” Bjorn continued still much to the annoyance of the viking allies. He gave another devilish smile as he looked at Robeth “So naturally if a warrior like me- self comes back with both a boar AND a wolf you just KNOW there’s gonna be plenty’a women invitin’ me int’a their tents and-” “Alright that's more than enough!” Robeth Interrupted, he always hated it when someone told a bawdy tale of explicitly detailed love making. Bjorn laughed and Cera smirked, both knowing full well of Robeth and Littlefoot’s sensitivity around such subjects “you know one of these days one of those women you’ve been with is gonna show up to your tent and give you a baby and you’ll be like “what’s this?” and she’ll say “it's your bastard son”, then what are you going to do?” Robeth jokingly said, he watched all of Bjorn’s prideful arrogance leave him much to the laughter of the two other companions in their little group. Once they got to the village center Bjorn simply looked Robeth with stern, angry eyes, still mad from Robeth’s comment. Robeth rolled his eyes “alright, maybe I went a little too far on that last one, I’m sorry.” he said as he rubbed the back of his embarringlessly, sometimes they did go a little too far in their jokes, especially ones about family, on account of what happened to bjorn's mother, lucia. Bjorn sighed “I guess I’m sorry too, sometimes I poke the beast in ye a little TOO hard, am I right?” he said with an embarrassing look of his own. “I forgive you.” Robeth said to bjorn holding out his hand “And I forgive ye, too, cousin.” Bjorn said as he humbly shook he elder cousin’s hand. As the two shook hands they rapped one another into a hug with their other arms, a known sign of respect among the tribes of the Wenver Clan. As they broke from their embrace Robeth jolted as he heard the sound of wild yelling, he turned to see the drunken elite warriors of Wadren’s clan motining at Bjorn to come and join them in their apparent beer guzzling tournament and howling at a moon that wasn't even there. “Alright, I guess I’ll be seeing you at the feast tonight?” Bjorn asked Robeth. “You know it.” Robeth said as he turned to Littlefoot as Bjorn ran over to the warriors to meet them for what they wanted to talk to him about. A large black bear warrior wobbled over to him, clearly only partially mentally functioning, and put a paw on his shoulder. Between hiccups the warrior was able to ask a question “di-did you...tell Robeth...tha-that story about...th-th-the boar and the wolf?” he giggled after asking the question. Bjorn, looked over at Robeth and the two allies and looked back at the bear “yeah, I told’em.” he said much to the laughter of the drunken warriors. A ram smirked at him “even the part where that fox shot you down faster than a master archer?” he asked as the others snickered. Robeth and Littlefoot raised their eyebrows at the comment, they knew Bjorn had been denied nights together with females before however it was a immensely rare sight giving his charisma. Littlefoot looked over at Cera and saw a look of pure rage on her face, she, like Littlefoot, had a deep connection to her ally and would never stand for such insult against her best friend. As the group of various warriors bellowed with drunken laughter they barely noticed Bjorn tackling the ram into the mud of the road.
“Do you think funny now you thick-skulled bum?!” Bjorn shouted as he wailed on the ram as he flailed to get his arms above his face to block the flurry of incoming blows. The black bear attempted step in to pull off Bjorn from his fellow warrior, however Cera stepped between him and the street fight, shooting him a bitter glare. “Do you really want to test me?” she asked, the bear simply readied himself, too drunk to realize the disadvantage he was at. Soon after that Cera charged into the warrior, not a very uncommon sight due to her headstrong nature. Robeth had to chuckle at the street brawl happening before him, he had seen plenty of them before however whenever Bjorn got into the thick of it it was bound to end badly for everyone involved. He noticed Littlefoot awkwardly looking away, he never liked meaningless violence, to him violence was for the battlefield, not as a means for defending prideful arrogance. Robeth could tell by the look in Littlefoot’s eyes that he was still thinking about his family, but decided against calling him out on it, for while he might try to convince Littlefoot to let go of the pains of the past he couldn't help but admit he too missed the old longneck family. He lost himself in thought about how kind Littlefoot’s family was, when he was learning to ride Littlefoot, his mother would use her tail to help balance him and Grandpa and Grandma longneck always seemed to have another story or piece of advice or knowledge within their wise minds to give whenever times of need would arise. Even though they weren't related by either blood or spirit they, like Littlefoot, felt like family. “Family..” Robeth said under his breath as he came out of his memories, the word reminded him of something but he couldn't figure out what at first, then it hit him as hard as a falling tree. “Littlefoot!” he called out to his brother, snapping him out of his thoughts. Littlefoot looked down at Robeth “what is it?” he asked, he had forgotten too. “We were supposed to meet Mika today!” Robeth said as he quickly climbed up Littlefoot, the name immediately made Littlefoot remember. Robeth got to his riding position just behind Littlefoot’s front shoulders, he gave him a light slap on the back that told him to start moving, which he did. As Littlefoot started to the main gate Robeth looked behind him, Bjorn and Cera were still fighting like cornered wolves, Cera looked momentarily at the leaving pair. “See ya Littlefoot!” she called out before slamming her side into one of the other warriors attempting to stop her from defending Bjorn. Littlefoot smiled back at Cera momentarily before continuing toward the village gate “it’s nice to see her again..” Littlefoot said, Robeth nodded, it had been quite a while since he had last seen his cousin, it made him happy to see he had changed very little. However it was never like Robeth had anyone to be with when Bjorn wasn't there, there was obviously Littlefoot...and then there was Mika, his betrothed.

oooh this looks like fun.

I always liked his "straight edge kid" kind of personality, that always made him like the kind of friend I would always like to have

add on to that the fact that he lives in a world where it can be hard to survive at times (as safe as the Great Valley is) and you got a pretty great character in my opinion

Character Profiles / Re: Tails77's OCs

Rotan

Species: Longneck (specifically Brachiosaurus)

Male

Age: dinosaur equivalent of a 17-year-old

Character Design: Rotan's main body color is a bright shade of yellow. despite his relatively young age he is almost fully grown, he has red stripes going horizontally down his the back of his neck and spine and dark green eyes. despite his relatively young age he is almost fully grown.

Backstory: Rotan was born in the mega-herd that was traveling to the Great Valley when it was only around a third it's later size. he gained notoriety for being shy even to friends of his family as well as being rather smart for his age. by the time he was around an age similar to 12 human years he had already grown half his size, which later got him popularity among the youth who wanted to be his friends, which in turn gave him more confidence. his confidence wavered slightly when a female longneck he liked explained she did not have feelings for him after he had fended off a bully, thinking it would make her want to be in a relationship with him. after a talk with his father about "taking it slow", he adopted a more stoic, gentlemanly personality toward females, generally doing everything in his power to not come off as having romantic interest though as a result caused him to have low self-esteem. things continued this way until his grand father died in an earth shake accident, whereupon he isolated himself from them in order to let them grieve in own ways without needing to take care of him. it was during this time that he met Cintha one day when they came across each other while wandering around. they soon became close friends and Rotan got her acquainted with the herd. later during that time Cintha introduced Para and the three continued to be friends until eventually getting to the Valley.

Personality: Rotan is smart and kind, with a penitent for humor. he has a large vocabulary and a love of learning new things, specializing in legends and stories. he is popular among the herd for being a perfect straight edge kid, often standing up to bullies. he loves socializing, enjoying long, joke-filled, grown-up conversations either with Cintha and other children or the other adults of the herd. despite all of his popularity and good traits, he harbors a much darker and personal side, one filled with self-loathing, and bitter angst. this is mostly due to the feeling of embarrassment for things he had done in the past as well as a slight bitterness to his father, who usually was very busy as he was a high-ranking figure in the herd as well as being generally stoic and moderately emotionless. despite this he tries to maintain a positive attitude, utilizing his friends to support himself.

notable details:

1. Rotan has a large network of friends, ranging from the young to the old, whom he converses with often.
2. Rotan is very imaginative, often telling stories to entertain young kids.
3. Rotan's mother had left the herd after an argument with his grandmother over her history of past mates, this has caused his father and grandmother to be very intense toward each other, although both of them love him dearly.

whelp, there's the last of the main three LBT focused OCs! hopefully I'll get to use them at some point, maybe I'll write a Fanfic with them, who knows...

one more question, is it okay to put my other OCs here? I'm really not sure if that would be okay or if there is another place for that kind of stuff, another really big problem is that I really have no intent of using them for RPs unless others really have plans like that. its okay to say no! I'll find something else.

ok, so, before I start the next one I'm gonna bring up two things...

1. I'm gonna be honest, I believe the RP I've put up isn't gonna go anywhere... its been nearly a month and there have still been no takers, if anyone wants to join and start things up in the future I'll be okay with that but until then I'll be considering it something similar to bankrupt. as for the OCs everything will stay the same just the circumstances of how they joined the Great Valley may change.

2. I'm joining a completely different RP, "A friendship with sharpteeth", this is where my next OC comes into play

Aka

Species: Homo-sapian/Neanderthal hybrid

male

Age: early to mid twenties

Character Design: Aka is average in height and very well built. he has long, poorly kept dark hair and scruffy stuble. he wears a sort of combination of pants and loin-cloth and a pouch that carries his tools made from the skins of sharpteeth. he has skin that has been tanned by years of walking in the sun and is covered in dirt and grime as well as a number of scratch marks and various other scars, some gained by fighting sharpteeth, others from various other accidents.

backstory: Aka never knew his father, however his mother and the hunter/gatherer clan he and his mother were a part of said he was a wanderer who agreed to fight sharpteeth and protect the group in exchange for food, during that time he met and fell in love with his mother and they had him. when Aka was a toddler his clan was attacked by a large group of fastbiters, to buy the others time to escape his father decided to fight off as many his could so the rest could escape and was killed after killing several fastbiters. as he grew up Aka developed a hatred for sharpteeth and became adept at fighting and creating weapons. when he was in his late-teens a large sharptooth attacked his clan and killed several members, including his mother, whom he ate. Aka became consumed with rage and attempted kill the sharptooth, only to be hit by it's tail into a rock and knocked out. the clan left him behind, thinking he was dead, however he woke up and swore to kill every sharptooth he came across. throughout the next several years Aka became a master fighter and weapon maker, specializing in killing large sharpteeth. Aka evetually made his way to the Great Valley, hearing of sharpteeth living in the nearby swamp. this is where the story is to pick up.

Personality: Aka is generally nice, if slightly intense and edgy. he harbors a massive hatred for sharpteeth for killing his family and treats all with extreme hostility. he is very smart when it comes to building traps, weapons and tools, often making them from the bones of sharpteeth he has killed. he prefers to keep to himself, exept for talking to plant eaters to learn of nearby sharpteeth to kill, due to this he has no friends.

notable details

1. he has a large amount of endurance, being able to travel large distances even in uncomfortable conditions.
2. Aka is knowlegeble in geography, often learning of local terrian and using it against sharpteeth in battles
3. Aka is also knowledgeble in wound healing, knowing how to treat cuts with herbs
4. Aka carries a bag that holds various objects he uses, this includes the following: knife made from fastbither claw, a spear-thrower, vine used as rope, herbal leaves for healing wounds, small snacks (usally fruits, bark, flowers, and occasionally small peices of sharptooth meat)
5. Aka carries a small number of weapons with him at all times, while the loadout might change from time to time, there are several constants: a shapened rib bone of a sharptooth (a psudo-sword), a spear (he often quickly makes others to throw), a club made from a rock tied to a sturdy stick (also serves as a hammer)

sorry it took me awhile to make this one, i've been busy

Howdy, welcome to the forum! I have to say I agree with a lot of the things you say, especially about Marvel!

34
thanks, man! merry Christmas to you too!!!

I already got a great idea in mind!

35
thanks a lot, man!

I do have to admit this though, I am a bit torn, part of me would love to play Ducky but I took notice that some of the evil characters you will be using are cave men, would it be possible for me to make an OC early human? if not then I am fine with playing Ducky.

36
excuse me, is it okay for me to join in on this RP? I mean, I know I'm trying to start up an RP of my own so I don't know if there are rule to how many RPs you can be in (and if I'm REALLY being honest with myself, I'm getting a feeling that that project is gonna end in a way similar to that of the Soviet Union). so would that be alright?

alright, here's the next one! (sorry if I kept you waiting, school is like wading through cold molasses, but luckily Christmas break is here!)

Cintha (pronounced "SIN-tha")

Species: Gastonia (if your confused, just think Ankyosaurus but instead of a club tail it has spikes going down the sides of its body and tail, which makes me want to call these a variant of Spiketail but I'm really not sure)

Age: the dinosaur equvolent of a 17-18 year old

female

character design: Cintha's body is divided to two parts, a large upper body of thick black scales that is bristling with sharp, bony spikes and 2 rows blade-like scales running down her tail. her lower body is sand-colored and is not armored, there are also a number of faint scars on her lower body where sharp-teeth have wounded her in the past, the most noticeable scar is a bite mark on her right front ankle.

backstory: Cintha was raised an only child by her parents. her parents had left a larger herd because of a number of unfortunate events (a series of sharptooth attacks, accidental deaths, and a disease forcing several to be left behind) which had led to the herd becoming more cruel and cold-hearted. as she grew up Cintha was taught by her parents that showing others kindness is the greatest thing you can do because, in their words, "we all share this same struggle". Cintha's family  went about the land helping others in any way they could for most of her life. one unfortunate day several large sharpteeth attacked a small herd her family was helping, they were able to fight them off however her parents were severely injured. her parents told her to always keep love and kindness in her heart and show it to others before they died. Cintha stayed with the small herd until it joined up with a much larger herd that was heading for the Great Valley, it was during this time that she met Rotan and they became best freinds, she also became known for her caring nature and her willingness to scout ahead to search for food and water. as she scouted ahead one day Cintha found a young swimmer who had seemed to be lost and alone, although initially hostile the simmer soon broke down in tears and begged her fo help, which she lovingly did so. the swimmer, Para, and Cintha soon grew close as freinds with Cintha taking care of Para.

Personality: Cintha is kind and caring, willing to do anything she can for those in need. she is very empathetic and can tell the emotions of another very quickly. on top of this she is a very good fighter, her race comparable to that of threehorns when it comes to fighting sharpteeth. she is also very understanding, willing to accept others for who they are (as long as they are good and not outright mean) and not go out of her way to change them. she also knows when to stand up to a bully or evil individual and will fight them if need be. she is very loyal to friends and allies and loves to make new ones any time she can. she sees herself as a surrogate mother to Para and loves her as one.

Notable details:

1. often talks to others (particularly those she likes) in a gentle and loving manner, usually calling them "sweetheart" with out even thinking about it. she also calls younger creatures "little one" or "cutie" or "sweetie" and gives them the adjective "adorable"
2. likes to hum or sing
3. very good at calming agitated creatures, sometimes cooing them to sleep
4. has a personal quote "We're all in the same struggle, it's not right to make it worse for others, only by standing togther and caring for one and other can we make this struggle just a little easier..."

well, here is Cintha! I got to admit, she is probably my favorite. (fun fact: Cintha is basically the dinosaur version of one of my other OCs, Mika.)

Character Profiles / Tails77's OCs
« on: December 18, 2018, 06:36:37 PM »
so I said I would be putting up a board of my OCs and here it is!

Para

Species: Parasaurolophus (type of swimmer)

age : the dinosaur equivalent of a 15-year-old

female

character design: Para's main body color is a slightly deeper blue with a paler blue on her underside. she has a single green streak running from her eyes down to her tail. she also has red dots running in an even bed above her green streak from her lower neck down her to where her tail meets the rest of her body. finally her eyes have mild cataracts.

backstory: Para was born the only child of her nest as the rest were taken by a pack of egg-stealers. her parents soon realized something was wrong with her as she often veered off from the rest of the herd. they soon realized she had eye problems when they looked in her eyes and they saw they were faded and grey. as she grew older her self esteem dropped as the other young swimmers made fun of her for needing to be led by her parents and calling her "wandering parry". her only friends were her parents, who were the only ones who cared about her as the children mocked her and the other adults believing they should leave her behind as they believed in a "survival of the fittest" ideology. things eventually got even worse when a pack of sharpteeth attacks the herd and killed several of them, including her parents. as the herd was attacked she ran away until her body gave out. when she woke up she was alone, for the first time she felt truly angry at the world for what it had done to her. it was soon after this she came across Cintha who asked her if she was alright. Para, still angry, snapped at Cintha and threatened her, turning her away. however Para soon changed her tone as she cryed for Cintha to come back, which she did and showed her kindness, leading her around much like her parents did.from this moment foward Cintha and Para were best freinds. they later joined with the herd of various other dinosaurs that was traveling to the Great Valley and met Rotan and his father.

personality: Para is generally quiet and shy, only really interacting with others than Cintha and Rotan when she absloutly has too. she is very embarrased about her eye problems and has to tell others about it when interacting with them. she often worries about whether others will be mean to her or not as well as angering them if she was to say somthing wrong. Para is very jumpy and anxious, she can be easily startled and sometimes cries when she gets very worrisome. she sees Cintha as a savior and loves her as if they were related, rarely wanting to leave her side even when they have the rare chance to seperate.

notable details
1: Para is partially blind, only being able to see shapes and colors. however she is able to see things slightly better when they are up close.
2: she has a massive fear of being alone, even having dreams about wandering the land with no one to help her.
3: Para often speaks in a stuttery and axious voice.

well, thats my first one, Para! hope you guys like her!

Role Play Discussion / starting my own RP
« on: December 17, 2018, 06:59:30 PM »
okay, so I have been thinking this over so I'm just gonna put this out there. I have decided to start my own RP. why you ask? well, this mostly due to either me not finding anything that interested me or just that basically every other RP was already in motion and I don't want to just barge in like a surprise new character in a sitcom and ask to join and have to introduce new characters into a story that never planned to have such characters.

the one main problem I have is that I'm kinda torn between two different ways I'd prefer for this story to go: narrative or playground? these are what I have for ideas.

Narrative: this one is pretty much self-explanatory, basically a LBT sequel of sorts with a beginning, middle and end
the story is of the following: a large new herd comes to the Great Valley with a some new kids for the gang to hang out with. however soon after the arrival of the herd sharpteeth begin attempting to break in (that thing with the poison fruit from the TV series will not be considered cannon for this story) due to there not being a lot of food around the outside area of the Valley. from there it will be a siege for survival ("Siege for survival"... hmm, I like that name, what do you guys think?)

Playground: this one I think needs to be explained a bit more.  the same story from before with the exeption that there will be no Sharpteeth attacks. this is basically just something where we can just hang out and maybe even go on smaller adventures that wont be 300+ page epics. personally, I'm sorta leaning toward this one because I just want to relax and not be on the edge of my seat like I'm watching "Game of Thrones" or "The Walking Dead" but I'd love to here what you guys think!

the following will be a list of characters:

Littlefoot-???
Ducky-???
Cera-???
Spike-???
Peatrie-???
Grandma Longneck-???
Grandpa Longneck-???
Cera's dad (Topps)-???
Mama Swimmer-???
Petrie's mom-???
and then there are my OCs, which will obviously be controlled by me.

Para- Tails77
Cintha- Tails77
Rotan- Tails77
Rotan's dad- Tails77

and then there will be a possible villain if we decide to go with the narrative style.

feel free to tell me what you think!
