Even with the Air Conditioner on, it is VERY hot at my work lately. (Been like that for several weeks.) Got any ideas, everyone? Keeping hydrated just isn't enough and one of my workmates feels like quitting just because of the heat.

Here are some ideas:
Ice on the back of your neck (I've done this and it works very well, at least for me)
Keep shades closed and as much sunlight out as possible
Use the twisty lightbulbs (they don't burn as hot I don't think)
Set up fans and put a wet cloth on them (this absorbs heat from the air) and ice in front of the blowing air (this helps spew out cool air I believe)

Using fans can help. Maybe using a washcloth to wet some parts of yourself, especially if you sit in front of a fan, or near one. Sucking on an ice cube now and then.

I have a tendency to feel cold unless there's an extreme heat wave, so I don't really have any issues with overheating
. The best thing to do though is to stay hydrated

Neither do I. I love the heat I mean really I do. My body never over heats at all. But I guess splash some ice cold water on your face.

Living in the cellar the heat is not so much of a problem for me as the humidity is. With the humidity level down herer usually about 77% the books on my board are getting moldy. It seriously can't be healthy

No that isn't healthy at all to breathe in the mold. I suggest that you get rid of the moldy books.

You can get seriously sick breathing in that mold, depending on what kind it is. I agree with Petrie85. Best get rid of them.
