Here is a little something that popped into my mind. Just post your top 10 favourite characters and maybe discuss why they are in what position, and even kill each other in a fanboy/fangirl like rage :)

1. Rainbowfaces (favorite)
Why: They're just so mysterious and quirky. Even though they didn't get a lot of screentime in the 7th movie, I liked how they had problems with each other. I would write more if I could remember more.
2. Doc
Why: Again, he's all mysterious and stuff. We never find out if he's the Lone Dinosaur or not, and the fact that he FADES OUT like a ghost makes it even more confusing. I liked his attitude, his design, his voice, pretty much everything.
3. Rinkus
Why: I love the fact that he can put on this completely believable mask of being a bumbling fool and really be the one who's been pulling all the strings from the beginning. He's a lot smarter than he seemed to be, and his dry sense of humor always makes me smile.
4. Sierra
Why: Um...he's pretty much badass.
5. Pterano
Why: He's the deepest of the sequal characters, I think. His story is a great one.
6. Guido
Why: Guido was really quirky - a very interesting character that no one seemed to really understand.
7. The golden Allosaurus from LBT6
Why: It's kickass! It fell down a cliff and didn't die. It acted like an actual predator and snuck up on its prey (Dinah and Dana). It almost killed Littlefoot, threw a huge log over a big ditch and drooled on Cera. Plus its roars were awesome.
8. The child Brachiosaurus from LBT6
Why: I...don't really know why, actually, but in his minute-length or something screentime I felt really attached to him for some bizarre reason.

Why: She's friendly, optimistic most of the time, but somewhat insecure, like me.

Okay, this was definately hard! -_-
10. Petrie: This little flyer has always been a treat to see. He brings comedy relief with his cowardness. However, whenever a certian swimmer or any other friend for that matter, is in danger, he sets aside all his fears and comes to the rescue. The only thing that really bothers me is his bad grammer. At first, I basically saw it as who he was, but with the way he just ruined certian recent songs that would've seen alot of potential, I just can't forgive him.
9. Spike: The strong, silent member of the gang... literally! I kind of like the strong-silent type heroes of a story. They always bring such mystery about who they are. However, he keeps us wondering why he chooses not to talk. We know he can, but he prefers not to for some reason.
8. Littlefoot: Ah, Littlefoot! The leader of the gang we all know and love. His story of how he lost his mother and moved on has touched each member here in one way or another. This longneck always finds a way to bring his friends along on the adventure and, during a number of hardships, keep them together.
7. Chomper: What some would consider the friendly sharptooth of the gang. He was always a liked charcter since he made a nice impact in LBT 5. I always looked to another sequal with him, even if it would end up taking a million years to happen. However, when the TV Series hit, there was one charcter that ended up outshining him on my list.
6. Ruby: And this was the one. She is the main charcter of the TV Series and we have to try to respect that. (Got that you Ruby haters?) I must say that she probably has a worse way of talking than Petrie does, but the difference is that she does it well. She really doesn't abuse it's use in songs that have real potential and it really works with her charcter. Something a certian flyer can't seem to accomplish.
5. Guido: Oh man, when this gliding lizard showed up, he just blew away the rest of the competition for my main top five. He seems to have earned what is considered a pernament spot in it now. I loved the way he called Petrie's siblings buttheads. He brought forth a level of comedy that couldn't be matched by any other charcter in the franchise, thus really saving LBT 12 from a rather unpleasent title that I'd rather not name at this point. In the end, a charcter that saves a movie with just how he is, I have alot of respect for.
4. Ali: For those of us who followed the franchise up to LBT 4, we got treated in LBT 3 on VHS with a very nice preview of the very next sequal that would come out the very next year. We were introduced to this girl longneck. In my mind, it sparked the idea that Littlefoot was gaining a girlfriend. I still think that they'll somehow end up together in the future. Now, the reason I like her is because she showed just how smart she was when the writers introduced her. I must admit that "The Brave Longneck Scheme" is a big disappointment to those of us who waited so long for her return. We really thought she wouldn't fall for something like that. Plus, with the fact that she saved the life of a certian threehorn, I can only show her my graditude for her by making her one of my top favs. Ali, the fans of LBT are forever in your debt, as is a certain tomboyish threehorn we all know and love.
3. Ducky: For a long time she was #2 on the list and for good reason, too. It was her classic "Yep, yep, yep" that made me fall for her and get so high on my list. I always feel sorry with how life tends to treat her. I even did not approve with her being used as bait in the original LBT movie. If you ask me, she really needs her own movie. LBT 8 was taken by Spike, despite much argument. Please Universal, give us a movie that truely belongs to her.
2. Mo: How in the world do you beat the #1 swimmer of the gang? By being an even better one, that's how! Mo is such a loveable charcter. In fact, his very existance brought forth the greatest LBT sequal around, which makes him an even more favorite in my book, but how in the world did he beat Ducky? By being so much more loveable than her apparently.
However, there is one charcter that beats them all...
1. Cera: The tomboyish threehorn of the gang. I love how these types of girls act so tough. In fact, I love these kinds of girls so much that, if luck would have it, I might actually marry one someday. Tomboyish girls stand out so much from other girls that I can't help but admire them. It is VERY hard to beat a tomboyish girl in my book, and that will never change.

Know she's got a story! No siblings (Ozzy and Strut saw to that), mom died, her dad's a lier, and is a little protective of her, then she's seprated from him in the earthshake, and whilst trying to find him, gets into fights of all kinds, becomes a migrater, and pretty soon is scar over scar :( . But she's got a strong mind, and doesn't think of giving up her search. She's a pretty bold character

Problems with grammar, but he's adorable!

Even though we've got the theory that they're aliens, they're pretty cool characters. I like the female's singing voice better than her speaking, but the male's cool all the way!

Hmmm... I never thought about this. it'll definitely include the original 5, and Chomper, but who else?
After much thought, here's my top 10:
1. Ducky-my favorite character from the start, I've loved her optimism, her catch phrase, and her species (Parasaurolophus, the swimmers!) I remember wishing that she'd eventually star in a movie, and then she did (#8), and I hated it! It was so sad seeing Spike and Ducky fall apart. Still, she's my #1 by a long shot.
2. the sailbacked lizard that keeps appearing in the opening intro of films- Alright, I know there's no proof that it's the same lizard each time, but wouldn't that be cool if it is? Whatever he's doing is always a visual metaphor for the opening dialogue, not to mention it usually ends with him barely escaping ingestion by some sharp-toothed scoundrel! :wow
3. Cera-My favorite aspect about Cera is how she's incredibly self assured, and I like female characters who stand up for themelves. She's also the skeptic, bringing her toher firends back down to Earth whenever they spiral off on some emotion-induced path (like, let's just cross the gorge and see what happens, or, what if that newcomer guy is actually the Lone Dinosaur!?!?) Lots of times, I find myself seeing a hole in somebody's agrument, only for Cera to voice it on screen seconds later.
4. Littlefoot-the de facto leader and protagonist of the series, Littlefoot is the one that needs to take his friends opinions and ideas, and decide which hold water. He can't be overly believing like Ducky, overly critical like Cera, or overly mute like Spike :D , he needs to be the happy median in btween. And, most of the time, he does it quite well.
5. Ali-The female equivlent of Littlefoot, Ali is just as nice and quick-thinking as he is, and a perfect foil for Cera. She also matures greatly in the course of her one movie debut, overcoming her xenophobia and holding her won specal place in the one adventure she went on. It also helped that Movie #4 is my 2nd favorite.
Movie #7 is my favorite, making the next character:
6. Pterano-One of the best crafted characters in the series, Pterano is one of the few anti-heroes the series sees; he tries to do what's best, but can't see past his own short-comings. He eventually redeems himself (Saving Fave Character Numero Uno from a very crushing death), and recieves something that, in my opinion, not enough villians recieve, a tangible punishment, in his case, banishment for 5 years (definitely foreshadowing a reappearance in the later movies). Add the British accent, and you've got a really awesome character.
7. Chomper-I wasn't sure about the placing of Petrie and Chomper, who should overshadow whom, and finally decided that Chomper was more likable than Petrie. A very brave character, who is willing to adapt to live with creatures he would normally hunt; a loyal character, remembering this friendship 3 movies later, and helping his friends survive on a strange Island, and the one protagonist with a very curious problem to overcome; his diet of meat. This will certainly cause problems in the future (though it's unlikely they wil be addresed in any film), and I'm curious as to how Chomper will overcome it.
8. Petrie-A lovable flyer, Petrie is seemingly less mature than the other main characters (even Spike has better grammar), yet still provides invaluble support in many situations (though if he wasn't the only one with wings I doubt he'd serve much usefullness at all). While watching the movies, I slowly picked up the Petrie/Ducky relationship, and was thrilled to find others commenting about it online. Despite the strange interspecies problem it would cause, the pairing in my idea sounds wonderful (the small ones do need to band together, especially with what they go through every movie). Still, he annoys me at times, which is why he's ranked so low.
9.Spike- Spike is a really underdeveloped character, which is part of why I've ranked him rather low. His inability to speak has caused him to become little more than a taglong, albeit a taglong that provides transportation for the smaller ones of the group while Cera and Littlefoot are free to figure out problems up ahead. I really wish he'd show more emotions, diffucult as it is for silent protagonists to do so, but the well-developed other characters usually make up for their static counterpart.
10.Mr. Clubtail- While his status as a background character makes his no worthier than last place on my list, he still makes the cut, due to his continued apperances. other than relatives of the 5 main characters, few adults ever continue to make appearances in the LBT movies, and Mr. Clubtail is by far the most common of them. While his gluttony and grouchy attitude makes him little more than comic relief, he still partakes in most of the important events of the series, and emerges unscathed, not to mention he's usually the first to back Cera's dad up when he starts accusing people and heightning the conflict. I always look for him in the fringes of large scenes.
Sorry I wrote so much; it's hard to cut the writing down when you've put so much thought into it.

1. Littlefoot: The leader, largest and wisest of the seven main characters.
2. Littlefoot's grandfather: The general voice of wisdom in most movies.
3. Cera: The second character in terms of importance to the series.
4. Petrie: The only flying character
5. Chomper: One of the few bilingual characters and potentially the most dangerous, when he grows up.
6. Ali: She COULD be important, if the directors and producers gave her a larger role.
7. Spike: There's not too much to say about him, but at least he doesn't say anything stupid.
8. Ducky: An important character since the first movie.
9. Cera's father: He's not as bad as he used to be, and is often an important character.
10.Littlefoot's mother: The only major named character to die in any of the films.
Runners up:
1. Tria: She's important to Cera's development, but not to the series as a whole. Her hedonism (her favorite place in the valley is a mud pool to relax in, rather than anything even remotely enlightened) is what prevents me from putting her on the top ten list.
2. Ruby: She speaks in tautologies and definitions, she isn't as smart as the people at universal have tried to sell her as, and although she is the fastest on her feet (petrie is probably the fastest overall), her hedonism (she was enjoying that mud a little TOO much in the second episode) and her lack of meaningful contributions to the main characters prevents me from putting her on the top ten list.
3. Mo: He appears too infrequently to make the top 10, but he's still a good character from a good movie and TV episode.

5.Little Foot-After watching a few sequels I have grown to love this character again. Mostly because he's actually the most like me out of all of the characters.

I know who my top 5 are, but I don't have a set 10. 6 - 10 is basically in a draft form.
10. Ozzy and Strut: They JUST beat Ichy and Dil as of now. I like their contrasting personalities, and how determined Ozzy was. He was also quite witty when he sang. I like Strut more, however.
9. Hyp: Normally I don't like bullies, but I always like Hyp for some reason. I guess I liked how he was mean but obviously insecure, and then changed after he got into the Mysterious Beyond. I loved one of his final lines: "Because NOT sharing is for babies!" And also this line: "Flying rocks! AAAAAGH!"
8.Chomper: He is my favorite out of the Gang of 7, almost definitely. I loved Littlefoot and Petrie at first, but their characters started lacking for me after awhile. I am not quite sure why I like Chomper. One reason has to be because he's a sharptooth. :D I also like his personality.
7. Pterano: Undoubetedly a popular character, and the favored out of the flyer trio. When I was younger I didn't like Pterano because he was so arrogant and full of himself. (In fact, I remember watching the movie and actually thinking "I didn't like Pterano. I liked the other two. :lol) But now that I'm older, I appreciate his depth as a character, and how he changed. Plus, I love antiheroes. They'e my favorite "type" of person in the world.
6. Ali: My favorite kid in the series. I dunno, I like how sweet and innocent she is. I also love her song.
And now, my definite top five.
5. Grandma: I love her sweet, caring and fair personality.
4. Sierra and the Rainbowfaces: They ended up in a tie. Sierra I loved because he was so ruthless, uncaring and wouldn't mind some violence. He was also one of the only LBT villains I considered a real threat. The rainbowfaces are cool because they're outcasted, open-minded and mysterious.
3. Rinkus: I had a hard battle between him and my 2nd favorite. Rinkus and Sierra are claws down my favorite LBT villains. I love Rinkus because he appeared lowly and dumb, but was in reality clever and the puppetmaster of the flyer trio. He was also silly. "Then why are you hitting me?" :lol
2. Littlefoot's mom: Who doesn't love her? She was so wise, caring and...well...she died! She died to save Littlefoot and Cera, and personally I think she has one of the most dramatic movie deaths of all time, what with the fight, the earthquake and her final words to Littlefoot. It's her death that I cry at the most in cinema history, even more than Mufasa from The Lion King.
Aaaaaaaaand noooooooooooow...my favorite character of all time!
GRANDPA! I love Grandpa Longneck the most because he reminds me of my own grandfather completely. I love my grandfather very much so this is why I love Grandpa.

6. Tria-ideal LBT parent.
5. Shorty-I like him a lot for some reason, especially when Elizaeth Daily played him.

Despite critisism from (some) people on this forum; I actually like Ruby. I think she's an interesting addition to the gang.
9. Ali
Before her not-so-great return in the series; she was great in the fourth movie.
8. Chomper
This character really has a lot going for him. He was a guest in two movies; and now he's part of the main cast in the TV series.
6. TIED: Bron and Pterano
There are two reasons I like both of these guys.
a. They're both directly related to the main characters (Littlefoot and Petrie)
b. For guest characters, they have a lot of backstory on each of them.
5. Shorty
Shorty's cool because he's essentially what (see #2) in a Longneck form. :lol
4. Petrie
Not only does he have a lot of funny moments; but for someone being so small, he has possibly the largest bravery.
3. Guido
He and Petrie make a great duo.
2. Cera
She acts like she's tough on the outside; but deep down inside she's really a softie. But there's more toughness to her, and I like that.
1. Littlefoot
He's my absolute favorite because in some ways he's what we want to be: Funny, brave, intelligent, have leadership.

9. Bron. Littlefoot's father, despite his confusing past, remains one of my favorite characters, mostly because of his caring demeanor and leading attitude.
8. Tria. After seeing 11 and her TV episodes, I've really begun to like Tria. She just seems so sweet and caring, even though she appeared a bit false at first, not to mention how well she goes with Cera and her father.
7. Littlefoot's grandparents. As Littlefoot's mentors, his grandparents do a supreme job of raising a good-willing, intelligent grandson. Although they are often embroiled in the frustratingly ineffective arguements of the Great Valley, they still provide love and example to their grandson.
6. Shorty. While he comes off as a brute in the beginning, Shorty shows he is a loyal friend and a great fighter. Although he's still a bit cocky in the TV series, he still is a well-meaning young longneck.
5. Ali. To me, Ali seems like Littlefoot's perfect female counterpart. At first she is shy and a bit racist, but soon learns to accept people for who they are. Ultimately, she seems like a great friend to have, and perhaps, somewhere down the road in LBT XXV or something, she and Littlefoot will finally get together.
4. Ducky. Sweet, kind, and thoughtful, Ducky is the angel of the GOF. She is often the damsel in distress, though at times she can take very drastic action. Also loyal and occasionally funny, Ducky is a critical component of the GOF.
3. Petrie. Petrie is obviously the comedy in the GOF. His grammar might put me off at times, but he's still really brave and loyal to his friends, even though he fails some of the time.
2. Cera. Cera's just awesome. Although she is prideful in the extreme, Cera is brave, sweet, and loyal, and has the muscle to back it up. She still has some trouble accepting new ideas, though eventually she comes around.
1. Littlefoot. The hero and leader of the gang of five, Littlefoot is the Luke Skywalker of the group. Smart, caring, and friendly, Littlefoot's everyone's best friend, although he's got some fight in him as well. Always well-intentioned, Littlefoot remains my favorite, perhaps because he's everything I'd like to be.
Bonus #11. Littlefoot's Mother. Although we never really got to know her, she is still a very memorable character, and is credited with the best LBT quote ever. "Some things you see with your eyes, others you see with your heart." Rock on, Littlefoot's Mom!

Here's my 2009 Top Ten List:
1. Cera- She's a very sweet yet strong and independent female. She's also outspoken and does not hesitate to stand up for those she cares about.
2. Ducky- She loves the water, is sweet as can be, and is the "maternal" one of the Gang. She keeps on smiling although life has not been that kind to her.
3. Tria- I like her calm and pleasant demeanor. She has taken Cera in as her own, which is very kind of her.
4. Tricia- I like this character a lot so far. She's a cutie and seems fond of her older sister. I wish she would start talking and have her personality exposed.
5. Littlefoot- He's pretty much everything I'd like to find in that special guy someday. He's a great example of a gentleman. Sure, he gets arrogant at times, but he's a sweetheart otherwise. He will make a great husband and father for sure :).
6. Spike- He's very quiet but pulls through for his friends in the end. He's also loyal to his sister and protects her, even though he is her little brother.
7. Petrie- He can be opinionated, but he's also kind in spirit. He's more slapstick than the others, which makes him quite funny.
8. Ali- While she may come across as snotty and even racist at times, underneath it all, she's a sweetie. She puts aside all racist feelings to save Cera in LBT IV, which shows her willingness to accept others' differences. I'd like to see her again in the future, but not like how Universal did her dirty in the TV series <_<.
9. Mr. Threehorn- I like how he is strong and a great fighter. Although I found him to be too hard on Cera in the first few sequels, which explains why I did not like the dude, he has started to show his softer side, especially after Tria and Tricia came into the family. He does have his funny moments, the funniest being when he fell out of the nest in LBT XII :lol.
10. Chomper- He is very friendly, accepting of others, and loyal. He also has funny lines throughout the TV series, especially how he says, "I hate to say it, but I'm getting hungry." and looks at Ducky :lol.

BTW, my faves have changed a it. Not drastically, but still.
1. Sierra-I love his name, sometimes I wish I had that name too. (Since it's both a boy's and a girl's name) He's a tough/rouge guy that doesn't really give a darn about anyone or anything, except for himself. He does seem to actually like to be around Rinkus, even though he gives off this tough/bad a** exterior.
2. Pterano- He's one of the few reasons why I still like LBT.
3. Little Foot-I really like him in the movies, but not tv series. He was a favorite since childhood. Out all of the characters, he's the most like me. Minus his usual outgoing personality.
4. Rinkus-He's funny, looks like a wimp and tries to pass for being dim, but he's actually pretty smart. BTW has anyone ever noticed how feminine he looks? (don't answer that)
5. Petrie-I guess it's his voice that makes me put him in fifth place. I will always love this guy though.
6. Guido-He's me, or at least, my self-conscious me.
7. Hyp- He's my fave out of all of the bullies.
8. Ruby-Unfortunately, she's pretty much the only young female character I like. I don't mind Cera or Ducky as much as I used to, but I really can't see them in my faves at this point. :p
9. Mutt-A title I think that would be great for this guy is "Captain Obvious". xD
10. Grandma Longneck/Grandpa Longneck-Both in the same place because they are gentle, loving characters. :)
Bonus: Cera- 11th place in my list. xD She does have a few of my qualities and I do like that strong personality of hers. Just wish she wasn't so mean to certain dinos. :p

Um, I cannot list my top ten favorite characters, because only five of them are official characters. The other five are fan made, and reading another post here, I was informed that I should stick with the official characters, so I'll list the five of mine that are.
I'm not posting them in any order. Each of the characters has ample reasoning for me to be fond of them, so this list does not reflect preferences in any way. Perhaps if there is a thread made asking for fan made favorites, I can put mine there.
I have many reasons for liking each of these. Although I don't mind writing huge posts, some people just don't have the time to spend a long time reading one post, so I'll just put a small segment for each why I'm fond of them.
Littlefoot- Based off The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends, I saw a trait of Littlefoot that my father often uses in reference to me. Therefore, I feel more of a connection to this character. Littlefoot certainly seemed to obsess very much on helping others he just met. My father says that I spend way too much time doing things for people, often ones I barely know or just met. I did see myself in him during that movie.
Chomper- He is very innocent and seems to end up in situations that resulted from his lack of worldy experience. A good example is The Mysterious Tooth Crisis. He lost his tooth, something very normal for his kind, yet was afraid because he knew nothing about such things. It seems his parents sheltered him quite a bit. As I got older, and things happened to me, I would be afraid, even though all people go through changes as they mature. But never being told about them from my parents, and having been sheltered by them in life beyond comprehension, when I began to change, I really thought there was something wrong with me. I feel you, Chomper.
Ali- She is kind and loving, a real sweetheart. She tries so hard to be friends with others who seemed to reject her. In The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists, Cera made it clear that she wasn't fond of her at all- repeatedly. But that did not stop Ali from risking her life to save Cera's when the danger of Dil and Ichy was closing in. Friendship means the world to her, and so she tries anything to make new ones. Another character I can therefore relate to.
Ruby- Members here know I love unique ways of speaking. Ruby is very creative when she talks, although it flows from her naturally. I don't have to think of how I come across in posts and such; it's literally how I speak in real life. She tends to give things much thought before doing something, and planning is my life, much to the dismay of MMORPG players who just like to get in there and fight. Ah well. It takes all sorts.
Littlefoot's Mother- She's the tragic heroine of the The Land Before Time, if you ask me. Mothers who are kind, loving, slow to anger, patient, etcetera, aren't too hard to find in fiction, or even real life for that matter. Then to see her risk her life in a pretty hopeless situation from the very start to place an astounding wager- her life, which she lost- only to get the ultimate reward- the life of her child, which she kept- well, she has my utmost respect.
Well, I think those summaries give a basic idea on why I favor those characters. Again, I hope there will be, or perhaps unbeknownst to me there already is, a place where I can discuss my other five favorites, which are all original ones. Later!

8. Cera - I always love her when Ducky is laughing and she gets mad at her, or rather when she teach Ducky how to be angry... "Hmph!"
7. Littlefoot - he is a great leader, deliberate, benevolent and smart. What would the others do without him?
6. Tricia - she is just adorable, especially when she is paddling and waggling her little tail
5. Mo - "MÛÛÛka" (fun in hungarian), always happy
4. Petrie - he is worried many times, he is a real scary egg, always makes me smile
3. Ducky - she is endlessly cute, cautious, and affable. She holds the team together in hard times.
2. Ruby - She is a special member of the gang, she is intelligent, she expresses herself really creatively, although sometimes gets overly tangled up in what she wanna say. She thinks a lot, I like her mentality and her personality, I don't see why so many people dislike her.
1. Guido - He is always forget to use his wings, and those apprehensive eyes... He is my favorite character of all time!
Well, there are some more characters who haven't fit in my top ten list, but I also like Chomper, Ali, Ducky's mother, Littlefoot's grandparents and even Mr. Threehorn!

Anyways, I have an announcement to make on my list. Petrie has officially lost his spot in the top 10. I'm sorry, but I seriously can't take his grammar problem anymore. For the longest time in Top Ten Favorite Characters lists, a villain will now make the list. It is none other than...
The Original Sharptooth - This is the one main villain of the franchise that I love. He is just downright scary. He was introduced as a threat far better than any other LBT villain. The one thing that really made him actually be a threat was how mercilessly he attacked Littlefoot's Mother. I mean, seriously, he jumps right on top of her and then he bite and scratches her to the point where there is no doubt that she would bleed to death. The producers kept out the blood scene just because they wanted to make it for kids, but we all still saw the huge bite mark on the back. Yikes! Also, seriously, he jumped right on top of her. I'm surprised the spine wasn't severed right at that point. He was more of a killer than any other LBT Villain out there, and that's why we love this villain. On top of this, he comes back from the dead. I mean, he actually survives a drop from a high cliff? You would imagine a lot of broken bones at the very least and death at the most. To only be stunned after falling off a cliff, that just shows how much of a threat he really was. Not to mention he was taken out at the end pretty well. I think drowning him was the only way to really get rid of him in the end. It would be quite a shock if he survived that. Still, he's a great villain and for these reasons and more, I place him at the number 10 spot now. Sorry Petrie, but you've been beaten.

Oh my top ten? I don't think I can go that high in my favourites, as I tend to appreciate most of the characters (evil or good) anyway.
However, I'll give it my best go:
1:Littlefoot.- When I was a child, I had gone through a rough time and lived with my Grandparents for a couple of months during that time I was introduced to the Land Before Time and I could relate to Littlefoot in some ways with his experiences (not personality).
2:Chomper- I hate to base characters of on how they look but he is just so adorable.:)
3:Petrie
4:Grandpa Longneck.
5:Mr Thicknose.

1. Ruby - they don't make a big deal of this, but she is the clash between two worlds. She is both a leaf eater and a meat eater, though she doesn't do it in front of the others. She is also a child of the mysterious beyond which makes her as much of an ambassador to the Great Valley as she is a friend to the gang. Being an ambassador myself I can't help but admire her.
2. Guido - He woke up in the middle of nowhere with no clue who he is or what he eats. His appearence anywhere is ultra emphasized (I laughed when the gang effectively called in the cavalry as the entire valley witnessed him coming out of a random bush). He is capable of great things but like the ugly duckling he doesn't know what they are. The thing I like most about him however, is how he brings out character traits in Petrie beyond just casual fright. He is effectively the father that Petrie never had.
3. Ozzy and Strut
4. Shorty - He has the guts to go toe to toe with Cera, which is something the rest of the gang seems to lack. He also has qualities of a leader, but he seems to be more like a sergeant then a general - as in he needs someone above him to go to when he really gets in trouble.
5. Sky - The really good avatar that reminds me of my grade four teacher. It's a shame we couldn't get a character bio or at least an idea what kind of dinosaur he is. Up for that one Sky?
6. Ali - she had a good singing voice and is the only character that shatters Littlefoot's complextion. Something about her brings out traits in Littlefoot that develop his character and hence develops my liking of her.
7. Mo - hes got a cool voice. It's a shame that he wasn't in the series sooner.
8. Bron - He looks like a bigger version of Littlefoot, which is unique because I can honestly see him being as intelligent and brave as his son. We don't know too much about his character though - as in what traits he has that go beyond being a leader of a herd.
9. Chomper - who honestly doesn't like Chomper?
10. Umm...oh geeze...ah.... lets just keep this one open.

Time to revise my list now that I've watched some of the movies (darn youtube) and some of the episodes
1. Pterano - He's been my favorite for NINE-FREAKING-YEARS! No way I'm replacing him anytime soon! Now that I'm older, I'm starting to notice how deep his character is. And I've come to love his great Brittishness and pose-striking.
2. Petrie - Just for being Petrie. I especially like his development in seven. Usually, we'd have the nephew (Simba, Hamlet, so on) would be angry at their uncles and angst over whatever they did. Petrie, on the other hand, does forgive his uncle and even gets sad over Pterano's punishment. It's proof that you can still love someone, even if they did something wrong.
3. Mama Flier - After going back for Petrie's Snuggling Stick in Days of Rising Waters, she was put up as number three. I was like "Noo, whadder'we gonna do?!"
4. Scuttle - Heh heh heh, he made me laugh. Silly, stalling old coot with a Scottish accent!
5. Petrie's Siblings - I LOVE the way they take a potentially burning insult! Now if only there was an official number
6. The Great Hideous Beast - Well, I think that's what his name is. He seriously made me laugh. For some reason, he reminded me of Prince Froglip from The Princess and the Goblin O_o . No matter, I love the way he reacts when he comes up from underground. And I loled at his "abuse" and dinky size.
7. Guido - "Your rear ends look just like your faces, so how can he tell which way to go?" :lol . That line does A LOT for the movie. Especially Petrie's siblings' reaction.
8. Tria- This is a neat lady. I'd kinda like to sit in the mud pools with her and hear the latest gossip. She's like that pampered neighbor that everybody likes with the big gruff husband!
9. Ali - Before Pterano, Ali was my favorite character. Now I'm kinda annoyed with her, even in the movie, but I still gotta give her a place, since I did like her until I was seven.
10. Swooper - When I was in Elementary, I was always thinking a blind flier was cool. I even had one that was Ptyra(nna's) lover. But one that's old and senile seems...cooler. And he's got his funny moments. "Well, I've made up my mind. I'm sure going to miss you two!" :lol

1. Cera- she's a strong and independent tough broad, but she's also a sweetie at heart. She's a tomboy, and makes up half of my personality :smile.
2. Ducky- the other half of my personality :smile. She's a sweetie, loves the water, and always makes me smile.
3. Tricia- she's so cute! Can I keep her :lol?
4. Tria- she's very kind and makes a wonderful mother-figure for Cera. I love how she's pretty much taken Cera in as her own kid.
5. Ducky and Spike's Mother- she's very kind and blind to race. Being adopted myself, I admire this character for adopting a dinosaur of another race/species (although it was Ducky who technically adoptd Spike :lol). I definitely see who Ducky got her personality from.
6. Guido- he reminds me so much of myself, since he displays so many Aspie-like antics and mannerisms.
7. Spike- gentle giant and always there for his friends even if he's scared.
8. Littlefoot- compassionate, adventurous, and looks out for his pals (the REAL Littlefoot, not the TV series rip-off).
9. Petrie- panicky, but comes through for his friends.
10. Mr. Threehorn- I may have a love-hate relationship with this guy, but I think he's a good guy deep-down. Although he may seem misguided in the way he acts toward Cera, I think he at least attempts to be a good father.

1. Mo - How could anyone not like him? He's been my favorite character for eight years, and still going on strong! He has a special place in my heart, and I'm not going to replace him with any other character from the series any time soon. He's extremely playful, very cute and adorable, and also a very brave and loyal friend. Let's not forget that accent of his either. That makes him even more appealing to me than you could ever imagine and he always knows how to make me smile and laugh with his playful antics. As of recent, I've been seeing him in my dreams, and I converse with him every single time. I feel extremely lucky to even have this rare opportunity. On top of that, he's like a kid brother to me and he'll always be with me in my heart for as long as I live. <3
2. Guido - Just plain funny. Enough said. :lol:
3. Pterano - Even though no one believed his stories, he still had a good heart.
4. Grandpa Longneck - This guy is full of wisdom, just like me. It's for this very reason why I like him as much as I do.
5. Littlefoot - A good friend and leader. He was never afraid to go new adventures, and his adventurous nature inspired me to be adventurous myself.
6. Chomper - Poor guy. He was separated from his parents for a while. I was overjoyed when he was reunited with them in the fifth movie.
7. Petrie - He may have been a huge worrywart, but he knew how to be himself, and that's what I like about him. I didn't really care too much about his supposed "grammar problem".
8. Spike - He may not be one for words, but he's still very loveable.
9. Archie - Ok, I don't have very much to say about him, but for some unknown reason, I just plain like him.
10. Rainbowfaces - Same reason why I like Littlefoot's grandfather.

Let's see if I can even think of ten characters I like....
Permanent on the #1 Spot:
1. Sierra- No surprise there!! What's not for me to like, he has all the traits I love in a villain: unsympathetic, violent, impatient, the whole sociopathic package. He seemed like an actual threat and I felt that if it wasn't for Pterano and (to some extent) Rinkus, he could cause some serious harm, if not death, to someone. I could also relate to him to some extent; I know that if there weren't those few kind people in my life that showed me that humans aren't all bad, I probably would've ended up just like this guy...
The next three are interchangable in position depending on my current interests, thus the numberings doesn't really matter:
Ozzy- I just loved this dude even when I was little. His Egg song is so catchy and it was the first LBT song I memorized. He's also probably as threatening as Sierra when it comes to cruelness, but with a higher-tolerance level (it took quite a bit of interruptions from the gang to make him murderous, whilst Sierra always seems ready to snap for the slightest of reasons).
Thud- I liked all three of the gang at first, then I saw the episode Escape from the Mysterious Beyond. I found myself enjoying what he had to say and felt even a bit of admiration on how much pain he had to be enduring without shedding a single tear (he did wince heavily and make all sorts of loud pain-filled sounds, but that's about it). I was happy Chomper saved him and even more delighted to see that this raptor had a sense of 'I-O-U'. I think that's a rare trait to cover in a sharptooth.
The Domehead Trio- From the original movie. Yay to psycho dinosaurs! These characters may have only gotten like, 30 seconds of screentime, but they did leave a big impression on my sister and I. It was their appearance that inspired a....painful childhood game where we bonk our heads together (maybe that explains why we're so messed up in the head). Plus their appearance was a mystery to me; why were they attacking Cera? Were they about to eat her :blink: ? Why don't they talk?! And, my, what large sharp claws they have, especially by Leaf Eater standards.... Anywho, I've grown to respect them and now they've earned a lofty spot on my list!
The next three also interchange within this range, so numbers won't matter here either:
The Original Sharptooth- Can't say this guy gave me nightmares (truthfully, I had more nightmares on JP's raptors than this guy), but he did scare me a bit when I was little. Now I see him for the awesome predator that he was... *sigh* back in the time that they weren't afraid to hold back. But even though I was frightened of him a bit, I felt upset that they had to kill him. When I was younger, it seemed to me unneccesary since he wasn't an immediate threat and was even minding his own business while a vengeful plot was being made to murder him. But that's just me...
It's a Liopleurodon, Charlie. A MAGICAL Liopleurodon- When I first watched the 9th movie, I paid little mind to him. Now I admit, Liopleurodon have always been one of my fav prehistoric creatures since watching Walking with Dinosaurs. So when I read somewhere that Journey to Big Water had a liopleurodon in it (some say it was inspired by the one in Walking with Dinosaurs, but I'm not too sure on that...), I decided that I had to re-watch it. And I loved him! He seemed almost as scary as Sharptooth (especially that scene where he rears up out of the water and lightning goes off behind him; that was plain epic) and I was glad he didn't have to be killed off like the majority of the other sharpteeth and actually found his way back home.
"Plated Sharptooth" (as known in the LBT wiki)- When I first watched the 5th movie, first thing I noticed about this guy was how huge and sharp his teeth and claws were compared to other sharpteeth. Then later, it occured to me that he seemed pretty smart when he revealed the kids from under that rock. He jumps high and far just like Sharptooth, and proved to be a powerful fighter, able to hold his own against Chomper's parents. Plus, he actually drew blood. I liked that too, though I can't seem to get over that tearing noise when Chomper's Dad bit him...
Okay, now these are the least secure in their places and may change completely as time goes by:
8. Guido- Cute and funny. And feathery. I watched the tv episode before the movie and didn’t think much of him. Then I got the Great Day of the Flyers because of a review I watched on youtube (and because I love Flyers). Guido then took the cake and became the most recent to join this list. However, despite his placement, I’m sure he’ll be advancing in the future as I relate to him more and more. Plus, who doesn’t love that one insult to Petrie’s siblings!
Edit: Just as I predicted, he's advanced up the list! Way to go, Guido! :DD
9. Mo- He was adorable and I love his voice. He's just so freakin playful, makes me wanna join him if he were real. And he seems like a very good friend to be with. Sure, he can be annoying at times, but he's brave enough as to intend to sacrifice himself to save his pals. That's a very rare buddy to find nowadays.
10. The Rainbow Faces- I liked the design in general and I love the interactions with these two. The male's eager enthusiasm to help and to share 'forbidden' information makes me laugh. And I love their songs too, especially the last one (for some reason, I always get chills listening to it). When I found they were aliens, it made me smile all the more as it enforced the fact that there are unknowns yet to be discovered. And it makes me wonder what their true forms look like...

Gosh this was a tough choice, but here it is...
10. THE Sharptooth. Gotta give props to this guy. He was the original beast. He's the only character in the series that actually killed someone. He went on a murderous rampage just to get his revenge on the kids, and gave a pretty good fight when they were trying to get rid of him.
9 Ruby. She was a nice addition to the gang, but she appeared in the tv series and not in any of the movies so I never really learned to like her because I spent all my time paying attention to the original gang and Chomper. But she is a good character none the less, just not a nessecary one.
8.Shorty. I like him. Don't know why but before I thought he was just annoying but then I learned he wasn't such a bad guy. He also helped with one of the best fight scenes in the entire series and almost got on Cera's good side when he helped her beat the sharptooth. And that's pretty hard to do.
7.Ali. In truth, she's wasn't my favorite when she made a comback on the tv series, but she did earn a place in my top ten when she saved Cera back in number 4. It was mostly because she ditched the gang for *shudders* Rhett. And I just don't like him. She's just a lovable character. Speaking of love...:lol: But I think she was good enough to earn a place here.
6.Spike. The silent one of the gang of five. I like him. He's also my favorite color! I liked him enough to give him a place in the movies but what set me off was his voice in the tv series. I practically fell off my chair when I heard his voice. And the song!? I just didn't like it. He basically seems like the type of guy who just doesn't want to get involved in all this. All he wants to do is eat. Heh. Good ol' Spike. :D
5. Petrie. I love this little guy. The comical one of the gang. Truth be told, I like his grammer. some people don't but I think it's funny. But, he acts like a nervous wreck in the tv series when he was brave enough in the movies, espeically in number 1. He's just so cute and weird that I had to put him in the number 5 spot.
4.Ducky. She's so adorable! How can you not love her!? Anyone could just look at that face and their heart would melt. She's probably the one with the most sense out of the gang and is probably one of the nicest. I just love her. She's also my favorite color!
3.Cera. Where to start with her. True she is annoying at times, but she's basically that kind of annoying that makes you love her even more. But she's also the toughest to figure out. I mean, in number 7 she wasn't fond of Pterano, but saved Petrie when he was about to be crushed by a rock and she was mad at him. But she also sticks up for her friends and shows her true loyalty for the gang when it's needed the most.
2.Chomper. Same with Ducky. He's so cute! He basically changed my aspect of carnivores. He showed me that even your most hated enemy, can become your best friend. I just love how willing he is to protect his friends. Like how he saved Ducky in the episode escape from the mysterious beyond. He really showed how far he's willing to go to help his friends.
And the number 1 character is...
1.Littlefoot. Words will not express how much I love this character. He's smart, brave, generous, loyal, and just all around wonderful. He would risk his neck for his friends and family, and is just happy with what he has in front of him. He suffered one of the worst tragedies a young kid can face and still come out of it as brave as he was before. Gosh he is one resiliant little guy. He crossed the boundries of his kind's racism to have the wonderful friends he has today. That's whay he is and alway's will be, my number 1 character.

OK, so, here's my take on my top ten favorite characters. Not sure if I'm going to be putting them in any particular order, though the top five will probably reflect general precedence.
So, I think I'll start from one and work my way down, as that would be easier. Thinking of who to put first is definitely easier than who to put last.
1: Pterano. This spot goes to Pterano. He became my favorite character ever since I first saw the seventh movie, eleven years ago, and he's been my favorite ever since. He's certainly (in my opinion) the deepest of the sequel characters, and has left so many "what ifs" upon his departure. Plus I'm a sucker for the redemption character so... yeah. :p There's just so many layers and potentional to him, and to me, complex characters are always my favorite.
2: Petrie. I like Petrie second because he was my favorite character from the original. I guess because personality wise, I'm a bit like him. Nervous, easily frustrated and wound a bit too tight, as well as occasionally suffering from a lack of self-confidence. But at the same time, Petrie shines when he really needs to, and is a very loyal friend, both things I've been known for in my personal life. So yeah, I guess because I can relate most to him, is the reason he's number two.
3: Chomper. I thought that he was a great edition to the franchise, and his nature of being a carnivore yet still being friends with the gang makes for an interesting take on sharpteeth. I think I like Chomper because he avoids the "stereotyping" that you sometimes get with other series, where one race is ALWAYS "bad" without question, and another race is ALWAYS "good". That's just so unrealistic, because unless you're a hive mind society, an individual is an individual, with the power to choose his or her own path in life, and Chomper does that quite well.
4: Littlefoot. I mean cone on, how can you NOT like Littlefoot? He really has a heart of gold, as the saying goes. Pure, courageous, but not without his flaws. He's also a bit of a tragic character as well, losing his direct family with the death of his mother and never knowing his father until much later, and experiences like that can make or break an individual at an early age. To rise above the crap that life throws at you and prevail, denotes to me at least a great inner strength, and so that's probably why Littlefoot is number four on my list. I guess I just admire someone who doesn't let themselves get crushed by their circumstances and stays strong throughout. Littlefoot's also a dreamer, and to me, that's never a bad thing, as I'm someone who's always tried to live my dreams.
5: Hyp. Yes, he made the top five. Surprising, I'm sure. Hyp is another sort of redemption character like Pterano, though not really to Pterano's extent. He was just a cool cat back in the day, and I always liked him. He's another character that leaves a lot of possibilities open, and I like that. The movie he was in may have been a bit overt in its message, but I thought the characters were well written, and showed development and growth, Hyp being one of them. A character that undergoes a significant change through the course of a story is something I rather like.
6: Rinkus. Always beware the minion who paints himself to be not what he seems. I like comparing Rinkus to someone like Atoq Navarro in Uncharted. He really just isn't what you expect until BAM. Guess what? Looks like your main antagonist is not really your main antagonist. He was being played this whole time by his subordinate, the guy you didn't really pay much attention to at first. Any villain that can come across this way is devious and tricky in my book, and wins kudos from me, as it shows they're complex and much more than they seem. Rinkus pulls it off far better than Sierra did, I think. Sierra was the brute force and the obviously discontented one. Rinkus however was the snake in the grass, biding his time and waiting for his right moment, not showing his hand until well into the game. He'd make one heck of a poker player, if poker of course existed in that time. XD I also see Rinkus as the guy who might surprise you in a game of a chess. He'd pull out unexpected moves and pass them off as "normal" with a simple shrug of his shoulders.
7: Ichy. Why, you ask? Good question. I guess for me, Ichy is just one of the more memorable villains of the series, and he stuck out at me from the earlier films. Unlike the host of sharpteeth you encounter, Ichy talks, and is a bird, which was a nice switch from the host of giant meat eaters you're normally fed in the series. He played off against Dil very well, and in a way they were really foils for each other. I liked the whole take on him being incapable of scrounging large meals without Dil, and Dil being powerless to obtain meals without Ichy's eyes. It was nice seeing the villains have flaws, instead of just the "Grrrr I'm going to eat you now" that I'd been seeing (not that I'm hating on the sharpteeth, I'm not). It made for a unique twist, and while they weren't as scary as that original sharptooth in the first movie, I still think they pulled it off. I guess I like Ichy over Dil for his biting sarcasm, as characters like that are quite fun to write. XD
8: Rainbow Faces. I know, I know. I'll be taking some flak for this one. But to me, they just didn't bother me as much as they could have. It's ambiguous as to what their relationship to each other is, and I liked that. It was really up to the viewer to decide, and their whole "guiding hand from a distance" approach I thought worked fairly well. They were the observers of the seventh movie, the ones who were present and could obviously do much more than they did, but willingly did not. I guess I liked their whole aura, and once again, they're another pretty big "what if".
9: Ducky. I guess I like her purity. She's very empathic, and I like empathic characters. Knowing what goes on in the heart of another is a tough gift to possess, but I think it's what makes her stand out and become memorable for me.
10: Rooter. Rooter gets number ten because out of all the scenes in the first movie, my memory of Rooter and Littlefoot sticks out clearly from when I was two years old in the theater. His advice has been so true. Pain fades with time, though of course, to add to what he said, one has to be willing to move on as well, and accept that your pain will fade. Overall, just a great, warmhearted character. My memory of that scene is something I hope I will never forget.

Finally got around to writing up my list. It was SO hard to choose!
10 - Petrie
I guess someone had to be my least favorite of the Gang. It's not that I don't like him, but I just like other characters a lot more. It is good how he seems both cowerdly and brave sometimes. Sometimes, he'll want to stay out of danger, but if his friends lives are on the line, he'll somehow find the courage to do something about it. Like with other characters like him, I like his unique way of talking.
9 - Ducky
A very kind and innocent swimmer. Some people might hate the way she speaks, but I love it! It is a nice contrast to other characters speech. That is one thing I like about LBt in general; a lot of the characters have unique ways of talking, which really brings some spice to the dialogue!
8 - Grandpa Longneck
Such a great grandfather! He's always there to comfort Littlefoot, and his advice is great. As the leader of the Great Valley, he's very wise. He always has the safety of the herd in mind, and he makes sounds decisions. I love the banter between him and Mr. Threehorn! It's also great whenever he tells stories, since he's so good at it. RIP Kenneth Mars, his voice actor. :cry
7 - Ruby
Actually, she's not THAT far up my list. I do like her, but maybe not as much as I've been putting on. She does seem to be a character that sort of watches over the Gang, like a guardian, and I do like the way she talks. It's fun (and hard!) trying to write dialogue in her double-talk style.
6 - Mr. Threehorn
He's a character I really love to hate, but that's a good thing! He's always there to spice up the conversation with his rage dumps, and he always manages to make the conflict seem more serious. In my eyes, LBT would be a LOT more boring without him there to complain. :lol
5 - Chomper's Parents
I'll just include them both in one. I really like that they have some good in them as well. It seems Chomper's personality has rubbed off on them somewhat. They're great parents for Chomper, and it seems that they really love him. They also give some great lines in their short screen time, such as "Sure, bring your friends along, we'd love some desert!", "Sometimes, I worry about that boy", and "Don't play with your food!"
4 - Cera
Kind of like with her father, another character I love to hate. Granted, she can be caring when she wants to be, but most of the time she just complains, or acts as a second opinion to everything everyone else wants to do. I also like how she always tries to cover up the fact that she is just a scaredy little egg inside! Like with Mr. Threehorn, LBT would be boring without her.
3 - Littlefoot
He's really what holds the Gang together. He's a great leader, always willing to help. He has good morals, and always seems to know what to do. Another thing I like about him is how he always tries to see the good in people. Sometimes he might seem a bit TOO perfect, but I still really like him. He's sort of a big brother to Chomper, and someone the friendly little sharptooth looks up to and tries to be like.
2 - Pterano
The Infamous Old Flyer! One of the most complicated characters in the series. He starts out as a villian (one of the best LBT villians, I might add), and sort of redeems himself throught his search for the Stone of Cold Fire. He's done some horrible things that he regrets, yes, but he also has a good side, and he's willing to take responsabiliy for what he has done. I also really like his speech. He always speaks with an air of mystery and cunning. A very smooth talker I must say!
1 - Chomper
Ah yes, the friendly little sharptooth. He's my favorite character in the LBT series because he's a sharptooth that tries to be friends to flatteeth. Actually, he's the friendliest character in LBT PERIOD. He's always willing to help out his friends. His interactions with flatteeth can be really hilarious, expecially when it comes to eating. "I hate to say it, but I'm getting hungry!" is one of my all time favorite lines. One thing Universal is never going to touch (Expecially now that LBT seems to be dead for good) is dealing with what it's going to be like for him when he's older. He's going to have to make some VERY tough decisions someday. I really feel sorry for him sometimes :cry

It's kind of a hard choice for me to pick my favorites. But I will try here it goes:.
1.Petrie:
I didn't pick him first because of my screen name. I picked him first because he reminded me as a kid. Always scared when trying new things but really has a good heart and always there to be a great supporter and friend. He has always been a great friend to the gang even tho he was scared of a lot of things. But he tried them any how to show his friends that he can do it. Witch was very good and great.
2. Little Foot:
He is a wonderful character in the movies series. He is a great leader to the Game Of Five. The way he supports everyone and the way he has the never say never attitude is really what makes him a wonderful friend and character. He is also kind and have a real huge heart and is there for everyone.
3: Cera:
She is my third choice. She is like the bully of the group somewhat. She always has the nasty attitude but is a loyal friend when she needs to be. She always acts tough but she isn't. She has her scared moments in the movies series. But she is a good character still. I like her attitude a lot sometimes.
4. Grandpa Long Neck:
He is a very wise and a great parent To Little Foot. I love his stories he tells to the kids. And his knowledge about the Great Valley and other parts of the world where great. The part I didn't like about him was how easy going he was about the punishments. He gave none to Little Foot, Witch kinda ticked me off. No matter what bad things Little Foot did he didn't punish him for it. Other than that he is a great character.
5. Ducky:
She is a great friend to the gang. The way she always cares for her friends is really nice. And she will never let any of them down is something rare to see in a friendship. The way she talks makes her a really fun character to like and listen to. And the way she never seems scared to try new things is also good. I liked her a lot.
6. Chomper:
He isn't my least favorite character. He is a very nice character to the series. His positive attitude is really nice and really great. The way he is always there for his friends even tho he is different from them is a great addition to the series. He is friendly witch is really great.
7. Cera's Farther:
Okay yes Cera's Farther maybe a idiot sometimes but he is till a good character. And he is way to over protective of her daughter witch is bad/good. It's good because he wants to be a good farther to his daughter. And he loves her with all of his heart. And even tho he acts tough but just like his daughter he is also scared. But he is kinda of the second leader to the group to the Grand Farther. But a loyal character to the series.
8. Chompers Parents.
Okay. His parents are pretty good characters to the movie series. They are loyal to there only son witch is very good. The way they try to protect him from the other Sharp Teeth is a nice. I like the bit of humor they have in the movie. There few lines of dialog is really creative and good.
9. Rooter:
Okay even tho he had a very short part in the first movie he was still a great character in the series. He was there to soften the blow for Little Foot When his Mom died. The way he gave great advice to Little Foot was very good and helpful. He is very nice and caring. His advice was also great.
10. Pterano:
Yes he was and use to be a villain in the series. But now he is not. He is last pick. I liked how he want from being evil and mean to nice later on in the series. I like how he fooled the kids to believe he changed. The way he has a guilty heart from his old ways makes him a good character who wanted to change and try to be a better character to the series. I liked how he helped the kids out in most of the movies. His new attitude was pleasant and good.
11. Spike:
I loved Spike. How can anyone forget Spike. He was a very sweet character. He is the laid back type of character to the series. Always trying new things made made him a very good friend. He was supportive and loyal to his friends. And they accepted him even tho he didn't speak at all. And they didn't care if he was big or anything. I liked his smiles and how he helped when ever he could. One of the best characters in the series.

I love Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Littlefoot's mom, his Grandpa, his grandma, Tops(yeah I love the old meany---so sue me), movie 1's sharptooth (again, sorry), Ozzy and Strut (I can put villians on the list), Archie, Ali (she's so cute!), Sue, Shorty, Doc, Chomper (but not his voice), Ichy and Dil, Elsie, Pat, Guido, Mr. Clubtail, Tria, Tricia (I don't like babies really, but she was sweet), Ducky's mom, Petrie's mom, and best of all---Mo! I really love him. My god, I think I just listed half the cast!
OK, ok, I gotta slow down. This is top 10 only. Ok, first up, would be...
1. Mo. I really love him!!! :lol
2. Movie 4 Ali. She brings back memories to the sweet innocent days before I knew all about LBT 1, or 6-13, or the TV series.
3. Sue. Sweet, gentle, loving, and brave! What a gal!
4. Guido: There's a reason everybody loves this guy!
5. Original Sharptooth. The best Sharptooth around, no less!
6. Topps:Give it up for the greatest of the male threehorns, who just made top 10 despite being a jerk ad a racist, and who gave us the awesome song about "Standing Tough" !
7. Ozzy: Does it bother you guys that I'm listing villians? Well, I thought Ozzy was a pretty cool villian!
8. Spike. Stayed true to his original character throughout the whole series, which no other member of the gang---or the cast of family guy---ever did.
9. Sierra: What more can you ask of a bad guy?
10. Archie: Changed thi just recently. Can't remember much about him other then he was i movie 4, and very helpful and nice, and a sea turtle, no less! (Wonder how old he is? Or if he ever called anyone "dude" at any point in his life?! :lol )

10. & 9. Mo & Ruby- I really can't choose. I like them both equally. Mo's funny and really cute, and Ruby has a big sister like quality that makes me like her.Really can't choose.
8. Littlefoot- I always don't like the main characters much, even if this guy is the leader of the gang. Love his personality, but with 9 shows starring him, I got kinda bored.
7. Spike- What can I say? He's funny sometimes, and is a great brother to Ducky. And I kinda like silent people. They make great listeners, and Spike is no different.
6. Cera- I like her rough on the outside but soft inside personality. She's actually nice, but you can't see that when you first meet her. I didn't really like her at first, but she grew on me. She tries to be brave, but her real bravery is when she admits she's wrong.
5. Ali- I simply love her. She's shy, but easily gets along with others. She accepted the others, even with their differences. She's also quiet, and she learns fast. She's also really sweet. Kinda like a female Littlefoot, but better in my eyes. :)
Now, onto the little guys, whom I have a soft spot with...
4.Chomper- I just find this guy really cute! He wants to be friends with the leafeaters, and really tries his best to fit in. He's just adorable, and different in a nice way.
3. Guido- Really funny, especially with his fast talking. He makes thing amusing without even trying, and is one of the reasons why I like XII so much. He's a cute scaredy egg, and is unique, and he likes it that way, even if it does get lonely sometimes.He also makes an awesome duo with my #2...
2. Petrie- He's funny in his own way, and I actually like his broken English... He's really cute to me and his cowardness into braveness personality is nice, too. I also like flyers in general, which is also why Pterano scores #11 (pretty good since. I don't like adults) and Rinkus as my #1 Villain. I also like his little fights with Cera, which made me like him and her more. :smile
1. Ducky (of course)- what I don't get is why I love her so much. I mean, I love Ali's personality way better than hers. I guess I like her because she's sweet and innocent, a quality that is very rare in others, and her angry days remind me that no one's perfect. I also have an easy time understanding her. So, all in all, she stays #1 in my heart.

1. Cera
Besides my undying love for Triceratops, I like Cera because of her design and personality. She's rough and tough on the outside, but very sensitive on the inside. She deeply cares for her friends, even if she pokes fun at them every now and then.
2. Ali
If I could tie Cera and Ali, I would, but since this is a top ten list, Ali comes in a very close second place. Ali somewhat reminds me of myself; she's shy, but learns how to overcome her shyness and become friends with Littlefoot and his friends. I really liked her character development in movie four, where Littlefoot became trapped in the cave and she had to overcome her fears to go ask Littlefoot's friends for help.
3. Petrie
Petrie is just a fun character in my eyes. He's the comic relief, and I like that. I also liked how, in the first movie, he had to overcome his fears of heights and learn to fly.
4. Ichy
My favorite villain in Land Before Time. I liked how he and Dil had to work together to get things done, and even then, they didn't get a lot done!
5. Ozzy
My second favorite villain! I really liked his song in the second movie.
6. Chomper
I liked him in every appearance he's been in. I particularly liked him a lot in the TV series. It was interesting to see him develop as a character.
7. Ruby
Her backwards way of talking makes her a little confusing at times for me, but I still really like her a lot as a character. I like her strong friendship with Chomper and the others.
8. Littlefoot
I don't think this list could be complete without Littlefoot being mentioned. As a kid, I was always drawn to him, and I thought he was a good leader and role model (most of the time).
9. Ducky
My mom and I always shared a common interest in Ducky. We would always repeat her catchphrase when we watched the movies together. Ducky is an important character to me because of the bond my mom and I have.
10. Spike
Spike is a sweet character. The fact that he doesn't talk is what I love most about him. Even his outbursts in later movies didn't really ruin his character for me. The only thing I didn't like was the episode where we were able to hear his thoughts. I don't think Spike would really think thoughts like that at all. But, other than that, I think he's a really solid character.

Ah I forgot about Bron Little Foots Farther who left his only son. And he never returned until like the 9th or 10TH Movie. He was a eh character that was okay. I didn't like the fact he left his only son. But than he explained why and but still didn't make it right for him to do that. He was a horrible farther to his son. And Little Foot forgave him like nothing ever happened. He is way to forgiven witch is his downside.

Okay, I haven't updated this list in years, so now I'm gonna do so and explain my choices. This was a really difficult list for me to create, so I hope this does a good job representing my viewpoint. There's quite a few spots where I have a pair listed because I feel they both need to be in the same spot as each other for the purpose of their combined character.
10. Screech and Thud - I was jumping back and forth between putting these two in the top 10 or the sharpteeth from LBT III, but ultimately I went with Screech and Thud. For some reason they remind me a lot of the pair of velociraptors from Jurassic Park. Are they as threatening? Probably not, but they do provide a threat to the gang. Considering that velociraptors are my favorite type of dinosaur, I had to put them on the list.
9. Grandma and Grandpa Longneck - Again, this was a pair thing because they both compliment each other well. True, Grandpa seemed to have the larger role in the later sequels, but you can't leave Grandma out either. Probably like most others here, these two reminded me of my grandparents. They are both loving, caring and would do anything for their grandson. Nothing really much else to say on these two.
8. Cera - I tried as hard as I could from filling up my list with the entire gang, so I had to choose those that I really connected with the most. Cera makes the list because she reminds me a lot of my sister. She and I would always but heads with each other on... well just about anything really. Course it's a little different because my sister is younger than me and she doesn't think she is tougher than I am, but she does like to disagree with me on things. But in the end, we still realize that we both care for each other a lot, and that is true with Cera as well. She may constantly nag on Littlefoot and argue with him, but in the end he is still her best friend.
7. Rinkus and Sierra - Again, this pair needs to be put together on any list because they compliment each other so well. It was very difficult choosing this spot and the next spot, and I'll explain why I chose the pair I did for number 6 then. Anyway, these two are so devious and villainous in their own ways. Sierra is aggressive and vicious while Rinkus is more subtle but still just as conniving. Definitely one of the most memorable pairs I think in cinema history, they are the reason why I keep watching LBT VII (and Pterano, but that's for later ;)).
6. Ozzy and Strut - Like I said, it was very difficult choosing between this pair and Rinkus and Sierra. I love them both, but I ultimately put Ozzy and Strut above them for this reason. These two were the first signs that the Great Valley was not completely immune to danger and intruders. Granted Chomper's parents are probably a better indication of this since they appear in the same movie, but we are literally introduced to the egg stealers in the first five minutes of LBT II. Ozzy and Strut definitely remind me of Pinky and the Brain, another one of my favorite cartoons. Again, like Rinkus and Sierra, I watch LBT II for these two (and Chomper, but that's for later ;))
5. Sharptooth - I don't know about you guys, but this bad boy gave me nightmares as a kid. He was terrifying, persistent and an overall mean baddie. Killing Littlefoot's mother and then constantly hunting him and his friends down like he was on some sort of blood thirsty vengeance spree. That makes for one intimidating villain. I still to this day think he is the best villain in any non Disney children's film. He's that terrifying. I don't think I really need anything else to say about this.
4. Bron - Now I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this, and I can understand why. To be perfectly honest, I don't know why I put Bron so high on this list. Every time I see him, all I can think about is my dad. Now my dad didn't do the same stuff that Bron did in terms of leaving my mom and whatnot, but when he is with Littlefoot you can tell that he cares a great deal about him. That's exactly what my dad is like. He cares so much about me and will do anything for me. Sure Bron's appearance in the TV series was a little rushed, but he still did come back like he said he would and helped Littlefoot through the Big Longneck Test. I know this probably isn't a good reason why I like him so much, but it's the best I got.
3. Pterano - The character that steals the show in LBT VII for me. He is easily the most complex character in the entire franchise. He knew very well what he did was his fault, but he refused to admit it due to the fear of shame, rejecting, and a bunch of other bad emotions. He isn't a villain at heart, just a little misguided. He still cares deeply for his nephew and his friends and is finally willing to admit his mistake in the end. There are so many other reasons why Pterano is so popular but they've already been listed by everybody else so I'd just be repeating their praises. I just love this flyer.
Okay, now for my runner up favorite character. These two were VERY difficult to choose from and I spent a long time with both of them. So without further ado:
2. Chomper - It's interesting because the last list I did he was my favorite character. I will explain the shift in the number 1 spot, but first here. Chomper is the embodiment that looks can be very deceiving. He is a sharptooth, but he poses no threats at all to Littlefoot and his friends, even with his couple incidents against Cera. His bond with Littlefoot is very strong considering he took care of him, and then when they run into each other in LBT V he does everything he can to repay him for that. I was so thrilled when I saw Chomper was a main character in the TV series, even if his appearance was not explained that well. He was my favorite character in both LBT II and LBT V, so I had to put him on this list. I don't know really what else to say that others haven't said already.
And now for the big one. Cue the drum roll please!
1. Littlefoot - This probably sounds really cliche, but I don't care. I can't think of anybody in the franchise I like more than the main hero. He was the character I connected the most with when I was a kid, so much that Littlefoot was my first imaginary friend when I was little. His portrayal in the original movie is what I love about him. He is shown as a real kid with real emotions. He is heartbroken over the death of his mother. He is furious when Cera insults her. He gets bossy because he has strong beliefs that his way is the way to go.. He cares deeply for his friends that he risks his life to save them. He almost gives up in the end after the battle with Sharptooth because everything he has tried to do seems to have not worked. What really did it for me though was the very end when he finds the Great Valley. I don't know why, but the look on his face gets me every time I watch it. Is he the saint that the TV series seems to try and make him? No. He makes plenty of mistakes throughout the franchise, such as kind of leaving his friends to be with Ali and especially lying to the valley about the tiny dinos. He is a normal kid who makes mistakes, but he is compassionate, caring, adventurous, and overall has a good heart. Am I rambling? Probably, but this is how I feel.

This calls for a good, long think! :thinking I gotta say that #4, #5, and #6 were next to impossible to put in order and could easily change depending on which way the wind is blowing the next time I look at this list. They'd probably be best considered a tie! :lol As for the #7, #8, #9, and #10 I have in mind, I'm still settling on their order, so I'll just update this later when I've finalized it. :p
- :rainbowwaveRainbow Face Male - Allow me to be the first person in this thread to consider the male and female Rainbow Faces actual separate characters! C'mon, just because they don't have names doesn't mean they don't have distinct personalities! As a pair, I love them for how mysterious and intelligent they both are, especially since they're left mysterious all the way through the movie, which drops intriguing hints but never reveals the whole story behind them. (Fanfic fuel!!!) But the male is my no. 1 favorite because he's the friendlier one. The way his enthusiasm about science/space always bubbles over to the point where he almost reveals secret information gets a smile out of me every time I watch this movie. He really cares about the kids, too, even more than he cares about his mission.
- Rainbow Face Female - Every snarky line out of her mouth is a winner in my book--I especially love how she puts Mr. Threehorn on the spot! This one's perfectly content with being cryptic, probably even enjoying it, and she's the by-the-book stickler for rules who wants to make sure the mission goes according to plan. (No leaking sensitive info!) But she does agree to help the kids get to the top of Threehorn Peak after some urging from the male (*cough* sibling in my headcanon *cough*). You can see in the movie's ending scene that she really is impressed with Littlefoot, too. Seems she has more of a heart than she lets on.
- :facepalmGuido - Hands-down the funniest LBT character, at least IMHO. Funny, loyal, sweet, awkward: in a nutshell, adorkable. I'll admit that I found him annoying the first time I watched him, but man, he's sure grown on me since then! I'm so glad they brought him back for the TV show!
- :)littlefootLittlefoot - I probably don't have to explain this one much, 'cause he's Littlefoot! He's the heart, soul, and brains of the gang! (Quite advanced for his species...I mean, for someone so young...) :lol
- :duckyhappyDucky - The cutest, sweetest, most cheerful character in the group. There's not really much more to say here. Who could possibly be immune to Ducky??
- :)petriePetrie - Second only to Ducky in terms of cuteness. I don't get the complaints about his grammar, because to me that's part of his charm--and I'm usually a stickler for grammar! His squeaky voice, wide eyes, and general timidness just make you wanna hold him tight and tell him he'll be okay, but at the same time, he can always summon his bravery when it really counts.
- :chompysmileChomper - Always such a friendly, sweet little guy. No matter how many times leaf-eaters judge him, he tries his best and treats everyone he meets with kindness. It's neat that he's the dinosaur equivalent of bilingual, too.
- Pterano - I can't believe I'm actually putting him on my list, because I've spent a while thinking he's pretty overrated...alas, it seems I am not immune to his appeal! As the lead antagonist of my favorite LBT movie, he's too memorable of a character for me not to include. His British-accented melodrama is just entertaining--"Peeeetrie, I'm heartbroken!" was an often-imitated line in my family, haha! His grandiose song is also one of my LBT favorites, not to mention one of my favorite villain songs from anywhere.
- Strut - The more mild-mannered half of the eggstealer duo. For villainy, the flyer trio were LBT's best bad guys, but Ozzy and Strut win as the most fun villains. Before there was "Beyond the Mysterious Beyond," "Eggs" was my favorite LBT song, because it's just so catchy! I do pity Strut, though, always getting dragged into his brother's schemes when he'd rather be peacefully enjoying a salad or something. His sleepy facial expression and his voice, plus his love of leaves, actually make him a pretty cute character, so he wins my #9 spot!
- :OzzyAngryOzzy - Without him, we wouldn't have the "Eggs" song. His over-the-top sinister, villainous voice basically made it. Also, I just enjoy a lot of his quotes in general, heh heh. ("I like this place...yes, I like this place a LOT!") So, despite his treatment of Strut, I must give Ozzy my last spot...but just know that you're always gonna be below your brother in my book, Ozzy!

I must say, Etta and Wild Arms were very close runners-up for this list. The release of that 14th movie that revived my childhood has become a whole new type of nostalgia for me looking back, and I found both those characters to be worthy additions to the series. (Yeah, I know people are gonna disagree with me on Wild Arms, seeing as how I rarely even see a wiki entry on him that doesn't put him in a negative light, but oh well.)

Time to reveal my list...
1. Ruby - Despite being a rather new character in the series, this fastrunner has captured my heart from the very first moment she appeared. Her unique manner of speaking is not only quite ingenious for her, but also hard not to notice. She'll definitely stay in your mind long after.
2. Ducky - Seriously, who wouldn't be able to love this sweet, lovable swimmer? As with Ruby, her speech is very delightful and this creature almost never has a frown on her face, excluding her more ''nefarious'' qualities in the past.
3. Littlefoot - Ah... the fearless leader of the pack. There hasn't been a moment where Littlefoot wasn't on the spotlight per se, so you could easily argue that he is the face of the universe. In a way, that is true.
4. Petrie - While he may be a bit of a coward from time to time, you can't deny that he hasn't been there for the Gang when his help is needed. Largely regarded as a mere watcher for the group when they go out into the Mysterious Beyond, Petrie has proven himself far more qualified than initially believed of his debut in the original film.
5. Cera - Stubborn doesn't even begin to describe this wilful threehorn, for that dear old Mr. Threehorn can be proud of. I admit, her first impression wasn't exactly that great, being more of a minor nuisance than an actual character. But, she quickly changed for the better once she found the one thing she'd likely been missing in her entire life; real friends whom care about her.
6. Guido - Who could've seen this coming? I know for sure that I didn't, but after watching the movie again, I grew to appreciate his character more. Here is a person who likely lost everything before winding up in the valley. Though, I wish they'd actually included backstory for this character. That could have changed everything.
7. Chomper - I'm probably going to get a lot of backlash for this choice, but screw it. Chomper is a unique character in a way that showed not all sharpteeth can be murderous beasts. His character later evolved further in the television series and Journey of the Brave, and I quite like what they did with him. However, his task to ''unite'' the sharpteeth of the MB was a mouthful of bushwah, quite unlikely to happen as we clearly saw what happened when Chomper tried to be befriend bunch of fastbiters.
8. Mo - I know that some of you might have expected me to put him on this list at some point, and there you have it. From his first appearance, I've always found Mo to be rather hilarious as a character, even if his antics occasionally go a bit overboard, he has earned his place in my heart.
9. Shorty - Without a doubt, yet another fine example of not utilizing a character to the fullest, and that is a damn shame. Even without a clear backstory, I've always found the green longneck to be rather interesting... and edgy. I was so intrigued about him that I even decided to write a fanfiction in his honor, and loved every second of it.
10. Rainbowface duo - And last, but definitely not least, we have the iconic duo of curious dinosaurs that have seem to become fan favorites in a short amount of time, and the reason for that is likely their mysterious persona. Things like that usually draws people, and it wasn't absent here. So, are they aliens or something else? I believe they are a race of very advanced extraterrestrials send to catalogue less developed species. Their mannerism certainly seems to hint at this more than once in the film.

A disclaimer that I still haven't seen the entire TV series yet (as of this writing, I've watched episodes #1-14 & #20), so I may return here with an updated list sometime after I've seen the remaining episodes. But this is where my favourite characters are at as of right now. :)
1. Littlefoot: He was my favourite character as soon as I saw the first movie, and he has remained as such. He's so loveable. He's kind, brave, loyal, and heroic. Immediately you root for him to succeed, and you feel for him during his hardships. The first, fourth, and tenth movies are where he shines the most, as they're the most personal for him, but he's still a fantastic character all around.
2. Cera: Despite feeling a little more partial to Littlefoot overall, Cera is in many ways the character I've identified with the most in this community. ImpracticalDino has even referred to me as a rambunctious orange threehorn before, which seems fitting enough. :p But aside from that, she's feisty and funny and spunky all rolled into one, while still showing her sweeter and more caring side beneath her brash exterior.
3. Ali: Easily my favourite guest star. She and Mama Longneck are the characters whom I most wish we'd had more time with. But Ali makes the most of her limited role in the series. She and Littlefoot are just so cute together. <3 She fit in so nicely with the rest of the Gang as well, leading to some unique and occasionally uncomfortable interactions, but ultimately proving herself to be a valuable member of the team in the end.
4. Mama Longneck: Wise, caring, and compassionate. She and Littlefoot form the emotional core of the first movie, and she has some of the most memorable scenes of the entire series. Even in the fifth movie, Littlefoot singing about her during "Always There" manages to be both sad and heartwarming. She also reminds me of my own mother.
5. Sharptooth: Also forming the emotional core of the first movie for entirely different reasons. I love how he's played completely serious in his every scene, and the conflict between him and Littlefoot is gritty and personal in a way that is often sadly missing from later antagonists in the series. The mood intensifies every time he shows up. He's iconic, scary, and awesome all at once.
6 & 7. Mama & Papa Sharptooth: I love the transition of their character arc; how they start off appearing just like the original Sharptooth, but it's eventually subverted as it turns out there's more to them than meets the eye. Then they slowly but surely (sorta) become good guys in the end. Having more friendly adult sharpteeth in the series was a wasted opportunity, imo. On the other hand, it helps these two stand out that much more.
8. Plated Sharptooth (from LBT 5): Yet another sharptooth who manages to be both awesome and scary. The fight between him and Chomper's parents is one of the best in the series, and surprisingly gritty as well. Sharptooth vs. Sharptooth is another thing I would've loved to have seen more of.
9. Ducky: More than anyone else, Ducky stands out as the heart of the Gang. Judith Barsi really owned her role. Such a fantastic performance from such a gifted young actress. Outside of the first film, Ducky also has a memorable role in the eighth film, as she and Spike take center stage in a lovely story that devotes itself to exploring their relationship.
10. Guido: Awkward, cute, and funny. What's not to love?

Okay, I'm updating my favorite list. Ignore my previous post in this topic if you've read it.
1. Chomper
Who would have guessed it? :rolleyes I always loved the T-rex when I was little, so of course I would love the (friendly) sharptooth in the series.
2. Chomper's parents
I loved the scenes in LBT V that show Chomper's parents worrying about what he's doing. They showed that sharpteeth can have good parents
3.Mr. Threehorn
I always liked the scenes he had because it usually would lead to something funny. I got some pretty good entertainment from him saying, "I'M FURIOUS!"
4. Cera
Again, I got a lot of entertainment from watching her get mad. :lol
5. Petrie
I personally liked his way of talking. Also, I loved his scenes where he would panic about something silly, such as sky puffies.
6. Spike
I loved that he was the adopted little brother in the series, yet he's giant compared to his "big" sister.
7. Tria
I liked her backstory, and the fact that she became Cera's mom. I also liked that the Threehorns got an entire family, with the mom, dad, and kids.
8. Strut
I liked how every time he was off-screen, he'd try to eat green food.
9. Ozzy
I liked how he couldn't handle when Strut wanted to eat green food. (Although, I could do without the hitting :OzzyAngry)
10. Tricia
The last of the Threehorns. I liked just the fact that she was cute.

I did feel like the reason he doesn't have a true home is because he sleepwalks/sleepflies, but I never thought about why he couldn't remember anything. :thinking Good point, Dr. Rex.

1. Mama Longneck. I know we don't get much time with her but I quite like that in a way, I love coming up with dumb headcanons and backstories for lesser seen characters. But I love her kindness and compassion, and her fight with the sharptooth was badass. :p
2 & 3. Grandma and Grandpa Longneck, not gonna decide between the two lol. They were always my favourite characters, but I've just put a bit more thought into Mama recently.
4. Cera, definitely my favourite out of the main group. I love her fiery spirit.
5. Ducky, the bestest swimmer, yep, yep, yep!
6. Pterano, because I love a complex antagonist.
7. Chomper, our resident friendly sharptooth, has certainly climbed up my list recently. A lot of the time it's Chomper that makes the TV series watchable for me. He's precious.
8. Littlefoot. The main longneck, this far down the list? Yeah, I did it. :lol I do love him, I just love the others more.
9. Sharptooth, the original. Nobody beats the original. By far not only the biggest threat to the kids, but also the adults in the film. He's awesome.
10. Pat. Yeah I had to put a really obscure one in there. He's just this cool old wandering dude who takes the kids under his wing and protects them without question. Even with a burnt leg and a lot of struggling against the sharpteeth he still doesn't give in and makes sure the kids are safe. Pat's cool, and I think he should have at least gotten a cameo later on given that the kids invited him to the Great Valley.

1. Uncle Pterano
- I consider him to be a grey-area character - too good to be a villain but too bad to be a hero - and I find that interesting and quite rare in the LBT franchise. He's charming and an asshole, and I love him for it.
2. Petrie
- He's always been my favorite from the main five. I love that he's very kind and takes others to account despite being awkward and nervous.
3. Little Foot
- To be honest, it switches a lot between LF and Petrie which I like more. I think Little Foot is very relatable and maybe the most realistic character out of the five. I feel like I've know kids like him, or been a kid like him.
4. Rinkus
- What can I say. I love sniveling power-hungry Starscream-esque characters a lot. With Sierra he was definitely a one-of-a-kind villain in the LBT franchise and very memorable.
5. Sierra
- A surprisingly dark villain, I must say, haven't seen anything like him before or after the seventh film. Much more interesting to me than another blood-thirsty sharptooth.
6. Etta
- Oh she's so fun! I love female characters that can be their own character and not, like... a Mom or a Wife.
7. Tria
- Talking about moms and wives; I really adore Tria. At first I was cautious about her (and her taste in men is... bad) but it turns out that she'd make a great mom for Cera, and personality-wise I like her too. She's a no-nonsense gal. I can respect that.
8. Cera
- Complex feelings about her. Sometimes it's really annoying how she treats her friends but I like her a lot more in the post-VI movies.
9. Mama Swimmer
- She just feels like a chill and level-headed character, and I love it that she was so willing to adopt Spike, no questions asked. I think she really improved the 8th film a lot.
10. Ichy and Dil
- Oh gosh these idiots. While they're annoying with their bickering and whatnot, I still love them. Also fun fact, I didn't know Dil was supposed to be a female in the original film. In the dub I watched as a child, Dil was a male with a high-pitched voice (not in the sense that it was trying to be feminine).

1. Tricia: Simply put, a baby character done RIGHT. Likable, good-hearted, surprisingly intelligent (learns quickly), and acts like a little, little kid WITHOUT making me want to slam my head through the nearest window.
2. Ducky: Always been a big favorite of mine. Cute and optimistic, super nice, and just overall someone I'd love to befriend in real life. Yep yep yep! :duckyOK
3. Hyp: DON’T YOU FORGET. WHAT YOU WANT YOU GET.
4. Redclaw: Put down the chainsaws! I know he's not the most popular Sharptooth, but I for one find him very interesting. What made him so infamous among the Mysterious Beyond to the point he’s even a threat to other sharpteeth? I hope to see this in a potential second season of the TV series.
5. Littlefoot: Wasn't always a big fan, but he grew on me in time. I like how loyal, social and easy-going he is. :)littlefoot And in Movie V, he and Chomper were by far the best characters when everyone else seemed to be taking jerk pills.
6. Pterano: British pterosaur. That is all :PteranoPlotting
7. Spike: I really like how he became his own character over the movies, being a goofy food-lover rather than just ‘Ducky’s nestmate’. And as a lazy Big Eater myself, he's one of the characters I can relate to most easily. :^^spike
8. Tippy: A completely friendly, likable little spiketail who will do anything for Spike. I've just always had a soft spot for the little guy
9. Tria: I like Tricia, so of course I like her mother as well. It’s pretty clear who the little threehorn took most from ;)
10. Chomper: The cute Sharptooth himself. :chomper I’d like him more if he weren’t in some of my absolute least favorite parts of this series…but aye, what can you do? :ChomperBurned
