~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taro:
Gender: Male
Age: Young adult
Species: Longneck
Appearance: Basically a much paler version of Grandma Longneck, being light grey with a darker stripe down his back and a pale yellow underbelly, and he has reddish-brown eyes. He has a deep scar going down his left eye which he got when he was a child, which is the most noticeable out of that and a few others going across his back.
Family: Well, that would be telling, wouldn't it? Well, he has his adopted parents, Cira and Velo, both of which are fast biters.
Personality: Very adventurous and outgoing. He loves a chat with anyone, but is also very wise for his age, and always makes a good point in the rare amount of discussions he has. He is dedicated to helping other dinosaurs who are struggling with their lives.
Bio: Taro was separated from his biological parents at a very young age due to a devastating sharptooth attack, and hasn't found them since. He was found by some fast biters residing outside his home, and they, having lost their own son to the same sharptooth, took him in and raised him. He learnt Sharptooth from them, and is able to speak both that and leaf-eater fluently, although he is not fully accepted once others find out about this. He left the fast biters and went on a journey to find his true parents. Instead, he found himself helping others who were struggling and didn't feel welcomed in life on his journey throughout the world.
Special notes:
* Is blind in his left eye from the scar the sharptooth gave him.
* Actually has a fair few fast biter friends from his childhood, and seems to be more accepted among fast biters than leaf-eaters.
* Despite being quite chatty, he seems reluctant to talk about his past and where he's from.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lily:
Gender: Female
Age: Child (about 2 years older than Littlefoot)
Appearance: Very light purple, with similar markings to Littlefoot's mother, and has dark blue eyes.
Species: Longneck
Family: All deceased apart from her grandfather. Her adopted father is Taro.
Personality: She's a very shy and timid girl, and the only dinosaur she's remotely comfortable with is Taro. She has a strong fear of older dinosaurs due to something that happened in her past.
Bio: Lily has a very dark past that nobody really knows about. She was found by Taro, standing on the edge of a cliff, like she was about to end it all. Since then she was adopted by him and he showed her a better way of life. She doesn't talk to many and even seems scared of other dinosaurs, especially older ones due to something that happened with her grandfather, but in time this lessens. (This is gonna be fun with Grandma and Grandpa. ) She's very clingy to Taro and tries to stick by his side no matter what. If she's not with him, she'll be on her own in a quiet place somewhere.
Special notes:
* Most of the time she seems to be daydreaming or thinking too much, so she's hardly "in the real world" so to say.
* Can speak some Sharptooth herself after learning off Taro, but not very much yet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nahla:
Age: Baby/Hatchling (under a year)
Species: Longneck
Appearance: Bright pink scales,white on her belly that goes up to the top of her muzzle then it narrows forming a blaze like marking up to her forehead. Sll four of her feet are white up the knees,her toes are the same pink as her body. A patch of white with a line of pink running through it is found on her back. Her eyes are light blue.
Family: Nani (Mother),Hades (Father),Uzuri (Sister) and Ben (Father).
Personality: Nahla is a happy go lucky baby,she already has a sense for adventure but she is quite odd. She can't speak very well expect for her little chant 'Tafadhali jiwe, na roho kutoka juu. Wabariki mimi na familia yangu kama sisi kuingia hii haijulikan' which is a blessing from her old home which her being able to say that is odd in it's self. Being born there she only really learnt their language (Swahili in the human world) unlike the rest of her family who were born elsewhere and can speak like the others in The Great Valley (English). Though she is learning.She prefers to learn through games though.
Special Notes:
*Can only speak a few words of the valley language (English) to start off with-Friend,hello,daddy and mummy.
* She likes Lily and prefers to spend time with her over her siblings.
*Wears a stone around her neck,however only her mother knows the reason she does and when someone asks her,Nani gets uneasy.
* Makes 'paint' like stuff out of fruits and 'paints' with it,her testing project was Grandpa's tail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nani:
Age: Young Adult (Around 24 in Human years)
Species: Longneck
Appearance: Bearing the same bright pink scales as Nahla and the same gentle blue eyes. However the markings are different from mother and daughter. Nani's face marking looks like a diamond and she lacks the white underbelly. On her legs are the same 'sock's as her daughter. Her back marking is just one long stripe-like Littlefoot's mother.
Family: Hades (Husband/Mate),Nahla and Uzuri (Daughters),Ben (Son)
Personality: Nani is a very caring mother,she only wants the best not only for her children but the other little ones. She tends to act like a second mother to the gang and also acts as the 'peacemaker' breaking up fights between them which often follows with a song or story about friendship.
Bio: When she came of age and met a male longneck name Hades who seemed to be in deep depression at the time,she offered to stay with him till he felt better...and never left,they later had a son named Ben which was followed a few years later by a daughter named Uzuri. However they had to leave their peaceful home and move to a name one. They lived there for over 8 years with their 2 children and a expecting 3rd. That result was Nahla. However when Nahla was barely 8 months old fire destroyed their home forcing them to flee. They traveled for long before finally arriving in The Great Valley where Nani was reunited with some longnecks from her past.
Special Notes:
* Was best friends with Littlefoot's Mother in her younger years.
* Like Bron she refers Grandma and Grandpa to "Mama and Papa Longneck".
* Was a healer in her old home and is hoping to be a healer in The Great Valley.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will do other three later me have others things to do then write out bios.
Plot: Newcomers arrive in The Great Valley,but they seem like a total mystery to the residents. What are they hiding? And why?
-
Eh here an intro,this officaly starts when the others feel like it.
A longneck family was walking towards The Great Valley. It considered of a a father,mother and their three young ones. The father appeared to be the one in charge as he was walking in front of them "We nearly there" Hades said over his shoulder.
-
The oldest of the children-Ben sighed. "This is taking forever" the blue male sighed from his spot on his fathers back.
-
The second child agreed "Yeah we been walking hours!" Uzuri complained,the blueish purple feamle's eyes flickered boredly.
Their mother Nani rolled her eyes "More like your father and I been walking for hours,you's have been carried the whole time" the pink female smiled at her black mate.
The third and youngest child remained quiet. Around her neck was a shiny stone,tied around and dangling around her neck with a vine. She refuses to take it off. Nahla was an odd one thats for sure. No one gets what the deal is with her. She often vanished then was found like nothing happened. What was the that kids problem?. Nahla was a dead ringer to her mother,expect her mother did not have the white underbelly her daughter bore. No one understood where she got it from.
Hades suddenly stopped outside the valley "We here".
Nahla glanced up from her spot on her mother's back. She closed her eyes and touched her stone and chanted "Tafadhali jiwe, na roho kutoka juu. Wabariki mimi na familia yangu kama sisi kuingia hii haijulikani" [Translation: Please stone,and the souls from above. Bless me and my family as we enter this unknown.].
Hades stared at his daughter but shrugged it off entering the valley "Hello?" he called out.
(Nahla- :crazy,she a bit of a mystery.
-
Ben rolled his eyes at his sister "Freak" he muttered but when he saw The Great Valley residents walking towards them.
(Now we wait for Molly and David I guess,Molly got the adults..David got most of the gang and I am sure they would wanna see whats going on)
(Omg I am Chomper now)
-
Mr Threehorn walked torwards them "Who are you's and what do you's want?!!" he screamed in their faces.
Hades used his tail to wipe the spit out of his face "Gee say it don't spray,I am Hades and this is my family,my mate N-".
The threehorn cut him off "WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!!".
Nani tilted her head at him "Is this how you treat all your guests if so,I doubt you get many".
"WHY YOU!" Mr Threehorn charged towards the female who was carrying her young infant ramming into her and making her stumble back.
Nani gasped as she tried to keep her baby girl balanced "Stop it you pyshco! your gonna injure my baby in a minute!" she snarled.
The threehorn just backed up and charged forward again to the mother and child.
(Grandma and Grandpa's time to step in
Man Nani and Mr Threehorn are off to a rocky start,oh well they'll get over it. Nani very forgiving)
-
"Mr Threehorn!" another female yelled. Two old longnecks were heading towards the group quickly, and the male got in between the threehorn and the new longneck family.
"Now, what's this all about?" he asked as the female joined him.
-
Mr Threehorn huffed "These lot thought they could come in my valley and insult me!"
Hades stepped in "No,we never insulted anyone. He came up to us screaming and shouting at us-terrifying my children theN began to attack my mate and my youngest one".
Nani stared at Grandma and Grandpa,she was sure she knew them.
-
Grandpa nodded, nearly glaring at the threehorn, before his mate spoke up.
"Tria's looking for you," Grandma said. "She said it's urgent, so you should probably see to her. We'll sort this out."
-
Nahla poked her tongue out at the retreating three-horn.
Nani gave her a small nudge with her nose "Nahla,behave".
Hades chuckled "Yes as I was gonna say before crazy horn over there started freaking out,I am Hades this is my mate Nani,my son Ben,daughter Uzuri and the cheeky baby over their is Nahla" he said pointing to them with his head in turn.
Nani stepped in "Our old home was destroyed by fire,we did not go with the others they left without us. We heard of the Great Valley here and..."
"We traveled for many weeks,we ask to live in this parasdise. Though we understand if you will not accept us"
-
Grandma chuckled at Nahla before turning to Nani. "Oh don't worry about that threehorn, he's always like that. I'd keep my distance from him if I were you."
"I'm sorry to hear about your old home. You're more than welcome to stay here," said Grandpa, smiling at the family.
-
Nani smiled "Thank you,where shall we be allowed to stay?".
Nahla slipped down her mothers tail and crawled over to Grandma and Grandpa tilting her head in confusion the stone around her neck jingling. The baby looked back at her mother then back at Grandma and Grandpa squeaking.
-
"Well, there's a clearing near the little watering place over there that's fairly quiet if you want to stay there," said Grandpa, tilting his head in the direction of the clearing, which was hidden by a few trees. Grandma looked down to Nahla, smiling, and used her tail to gently tickle the little one.
"She's so cute," she commented. Her mate also looked at Nahla and smiled, nodding his head in agreement.
-
"Thank you very much" Hades smiled.
Nani looked down "Oh is there any other children around here?' she said nodding towards Ben and Uzuri.
Nahla laughed as Grandma tickled,rolling over she smiled and jumped up licking Grandma on the nose/
-
Grandma kept playing with Nahla while Grandpa turned to Nani.
"Well, there's our grandson, Littlefoot," he answered. "He has quite a few other friends too. We can introduce you to them if you wish."
-
(ok, I'm Mr. Threehorn now)
Mr. Threehorn walked back to his resting place where his only daughter Cera waited for him.
"Daddy?" Cera asked him.
"Grrr! WHAT!!! he yelled at her with his bad mood.
Cera rolled her eyes:" Can I play with my friends now?"
"YES! But be careful, some strangers arrived not long ago. Longnecks... I hate them...!!!"
"Thanks! See you Daddy!"
"Laters!"
Ducky and Spike are already at their usual meeting point.
-
Nani nodded at Grandpa "That would be lovely".
Hades was watching his daughter "Nahla stop being a pest".
Littlefoot ran to his friends "HEY GUYS!"
-
Cera, who just arrived, asked bored:" What is SO interesting this time, Littlefoot!?"
"Yeah! What's so interesting, huh, huh?" Ducky asked.
"Me like to know!" Petrie added.
Spike nodded in agreement.
-
"Theres newcomers in the valley!" Littlefoot said excited "Other longencks! And theres even kids like us,we can make new friends!"
-
"Who wants to befriends with them?" Cera shouted. "My father warned me about these strangers!"
-
Littlefoot rolled his eyes at Cera "Your father hates everyone" he muttered but Cera herd it.
-
"Well, he has always a good reason to hate everyone indeed, but I don't want to meet new friends! New friends always mean trouble!"
-
Littlefoot rolled his eyes again "No your dad is just a grump,a bully and never gives others a chance.I say we go meet the new kids and ask them to play with us"
-
"I say yes!" Ducky chuckled.
"Me want meet friends, too!" Petrie told them.
Spike ate some food, realized his opinion was asked so he quickly nodded and went on eating.
"Spikie!" Ducky shouted.
"Well, I doubt I'll like them, but I'm overruled!" Cera sighted.
-
Grandpa saw his grandson and the other children in the background, and watched them, thinking. He almost forgot about the newcomers until his wife nudged him.
"Well, there they are," she said to the family. "Littlefoot!" she called, knowing that it was lunchtime for him anyway.
-
Littlefoot turned "Gotta go guys" he told to his friends and ran over. "What is it G- huh?" he stopped noticing the newcomers.
Nani was giggling as Nahla had poured the juices of fruit all over Grandpa's tail and it was like she was painting with it.
Hades smiled at Littlefoot,while Uzuri just stared at him before smiling warmly fluttering her eyes.
-
"Oh." Grandpa looked at his tail, which was coloured a multitude of different colours now, and chuckled. "Ah, kids..."
"Littlefoot, these are some newcomers in the valley," his grandmother introduced when Littlefoot reached them.
-
"We have to go, too!" Ducky told her friends. "Cmon Spike!"
"Me also must go home!" Petrie croaked.
"Bye!" Cera ran away quickly. She went to her secret thinking place.
-
Littlefoot smilesd "Oh" he turned to Uzuri "Hello I'm Littlefoot"
Uzuri stepped right up to his face "Hiiiiii Littlefoot" she said in a sweet tone batting her eyelashes.
(Filling in for Ben while Zimmy away)
"Ben" was all Ben said.
Littlefoot nodded feeling a bit uneasy about how Uzuri was acting "Anyway,do you wanna play with me and my friends?".
Nahla ran up to Littlefoot,the much smaller and much younger looked up at Littlefoot.
Littlefoto lowered his head "Hello".
Nahla squealed and splatterd Littlefoot's face with her 'paint'.
-
Grandma laughed at what Nahla just did. "Well, it's time to have something to eat first." She turned to the adults. "Do you want to join us? Or would you rather have a look around? We don't mind."
-
Hades smiled "We will join you if thats no problem,then may see this beautiful valley and our new resting place? Nahla can take a nap while Uzuri and Ben go meet the other young ones,and me and Nani would like to meet our new neighbours".
Littlefoot shook his head "Hey!" he shouted but laughed.
Nani scooped up her daughter "Sorry bout her" she said with a smile,she eyed Grandma and Grandpa and asked "Would you happened to be related to a longneck named Jenna?"
-
Both of the longnecks' eyes widened.
"Well... we were, yes," Grandpa answered. He noticed that his wife's mood downgraded immediately. She looked depressed and her eyes looked down to the ground. He knew she didn't like the subject of any of their children being brought up.
-
Nani's eyes rose "Mama and Papa Longneck? Is that you?" she walked forward "Remember me? Nani? The little one that went missing?,I played with Jenna".
Nahla broke the moment by making baby sounds like was blabbing...she was trying to sing.
Nani sighed "Sorry Nahla really only ever learned the language of our old home she is only about 1 year old,she does not speak very good the language other herds do".
-
"Nani?!" Grandma exclaimed, looking in disbelief at the longneck. "No way..."
"Well I'll be..." said Grandpa, staring at Nani.
Meanwhile, another longneck was heading into the valley, carrying another little one on his back. The larger one bore scars all over his body, but the most noticeable was the one going down by his left eye and left side of his neck. He seemed nervous as he walked in, as he always did when he entered big crowds. The young female on his back pretended to sleep, not wanting to talk to anybody.
(Guess who guys? :DD)
-
Nani nodded a smile on her face "So good to see you's again".
Hades glanced to the enterance nodding towards the newcomers "Are these residents as well?".
Uzuri was nuzzling Littlefoot smilng.
Littlefoot just smiled back though he was getting a little bit creeped out.
-
Grandpa looked over to the dinosaurs Hades was talking about.
"They don't look familiar," he said. "It seems we have more newcomers."
-
Nahla squealed with delight at the newcomers "Hellwo!" she cried.
Nani eyed the male up and down "My my my looks like he had it rough".
Hades nodded "Yes...".
Littlefoot finally got away from Uzuri and was staring at the newcomers "Who are they?" he asked in wonder forgetting he still had Nahla's 'paint' on his face.
Nani giggled when she Grandpa still had the 'paint' on his tail.
-
"Huh? Oh, hello there," said the young male as he looked down at Nahla. He looked battered and worn out, but smiled at the young one nonetheless. The young female opened one of her eyes to glance at the dinosaur who greeted them, but soon shut it again. The male was worried, looking around for the little one's parents. He didn't want to get into trouble on his first day here.
Grandma watched them. "It would be a bit rude not to go and say hello," she said, heading towards the newcomers, her mate following her.
"He looks in a bad state," Grandpa commented. "I wonder what happened to him?"
-
Nani walked forward picking up her baby "Sorry bout her" she said and began to walk away to let Grandma and Grandpa do what they needed to do.
-
The young male, Taro shivered slightly as the two walked up to him. He just hoped he wasn't in trouble. The young female, Lily, looked at who was approaching and gasped, pressing her eyes shut. The old longnecks walked up to Taro, their eyes full of worry and concern.
"Hello there," Grandma greeted, smiling at him. "Welcome to the Great Valley." Taro seemed shock, nobody had welcomed him into their home just like that before.
"Oh, er... hi," he seemed to be at loss for words. "Well, we won't be staying very long, but thanks anyway."
"A farwalker, hmm?" Grandpa questioned. Taro just nodded. "Well, take as long as you want, there's plenty for all here. You look like you need to get your strength back up, anyway." He noted just had bad Taro was looking, he had cuts and bruises everywhere, and he looked like he hadn't slept in days.
"Yeah," Taro agreed. He smiled at the two longnecks. "Thank you," he said.
"Any time," said Grandma. She gestured towards another spot she knew was quite deserted. "You can go and rest there, if you wish." Taro nodded and immediately headed towards that spot, he desperately needed sleep.
-
Nahla began crying hungry,
Nani rocking her gently whispered 'It ok,we are going for lunch now".
Ben rolled his eyes "Can we like go now,or we gonna stand here all day?".
-
Grandma and Grandpa soon returned, both looking worried.
"I hope they'll be okay," Grandma sighed on the way back.
"I'll admit, it is strange to see a lone farwalker, let alone one with such a young child," Grandpa admitted. They soon reached the group and tried not to seem too worried.
"Right then, shall we go?" Grandma asked. "We know a good place where really nice treestars grow."
-
"Yes lets go already" Ben said rudely.
Hades glared at his son "Ben,respect please".
Littlefoot walked closer to his Grandparents "Whats that stone around the baby's neck?" he asked wondering staring back at the little longneck in confusion and not looking where he was going and crashing into Ben".
"WHAT IT YOU LITTLE BRAT OR I'LL POUND YOU!" Ben threatened the 8 year old not realizing the Grandparents were right there.
-
The old longnecks just stared at Ben, but didn't say anything. They put it down to him being in the time of great growing. Kids seemed to be very moody during that time.
-
Ben shoved Littlefoot out of the way and stormed off.
Littlefoot landed heavily on his side but was unharmed.
Hades stormed past them after his "YOU GET BACK HERE YOUNG MAN!".
Nani appeared as well "So sorry,Ben is a moody..or just a typcai teenager" she chuckled and looked down at Littllefoot "You okay?".
Littlefoot nodded but their were clearly tears in his eyes,being young he was sensitive to things like these.
-
Grandma just nuzzled her grandson and picked him up, placing him on his grandpa's back.
"Don't worry about him, little one," she sighed after the other longnecks had moved forward a bit. "You're going to meet dinosaurs like that."
"Sometimes I get scared that that'll be you in a few years," Grandpa joked, earning a glare from his mate.
"That's not funny, dear," she scolded.
-
The newcomer longnecks spotted and laid down by a stream waiting for Grandma and Grandpa. They took a minute to relax after their jounery.
Expect Hades who was speaking sternly to his son.
Littlefoot sighed sad a tear falling "I want my mother" he sobbed.
-
(Thanks Nahla I can take Ben back now)
Ben huffed and stormed away from the group pretending not to hear his fathers shouts. He saw Littlefoot crying and smirked walking over and bumped into Grandpa making Littlefoot slide off with a thud "HAHAHA!" Ben laughed "The wittle baby can't keep his balance" he slapped him in the face with his tail and kicked him "Your nothing Littlefoot" he taunted the young child once again forgetting that his Grandparents were right there. He kept on his bullying,hitting him and laughing "Should I go call your mummy" He picked up a large stone and tossed it at Littlefoot. Not noticing the now very angry Grandma and Grandpa.
-
(Bad Ben! :o)
Littlefoot screamed as the stone hit him,it struck him in the face. Blood seeped out his nose and he sobbed.
(Nose bleeds,I feel you Littlefoot I feel you)
-
Ben laughed "Awww the little baby is hurt,he needs his mummy to make it better" he walked over to Littlefot and lowered his head "FREAK!" he shouted hitting him again "Don't like this runt? You shouldn't of ran into me earlier"
-
"I'm sorry" Littlefoot cried as the teenager gave him hit after hit. He tried to stop his bleeding nose but it seem Ben was not gonna let him at all. No doubt Grandma and Grandpa were now very very angry.
"BEN!" Hades voice broke through the air.
Littlefoot was looking like he was about to pass out.
(Ben=Hades? <_<)
(Oh guys Zimmy wants to have a RP too,so join hers too so she feels special,guess mine will be more drama based and hers more mystery)
-
Grandma and Grandpa refused to watch any longer. They very rarely got angry but this was getting out of hand. However, before they could do anything, another longneck got in the way, snatching Littlefoot away from the out of control adolescent longneck. He was swooped up to the safety of height. The tired, pale grey turned to Littlefoot's grandparents and gave their grandson back to them, before turning angrily to Ben.
"What do you think you were doing?" he asked. He was clearly angry, but he seemed to remain calm when talking. However, his eyes glowed with ferocity, something that could remind one of a deadly sharptooth.
-
(Ugh I'm playing filler again...yay Zimmy watching a TV show for half a hour)
Ben rolled his eyes "Teaching the runt over their a lesson!".
Littlefoot sobbed,his face pale and he was shaking,but besides that and the blood dripping from his nose and down his mouth he was fine. No real serious injures.
Ben laughed "HAH! Look his is crying" he laughed and picked up a stick just as he was about to toss it at Littlefoot a black tail wrapped around the teen.
"Come with me" Hades growled "Now son" he glanced over at Littlefoot "He looks fainted,take him to Nani she was a healer in the old home" with that he nodded to Taro and drug Ben off.
-
Taro just sighed and turned to the old longneck, then to Nani.
"Sorry," he said. "I know that wasn't really my place to intrude." He didn't let anyone else speak; instead just left, going back through the trees. Grandma started to tend to Littlefoot as Grandpa watched him go.
-
Littlefoot sobbed quietly.
Nahla who got away from her mother walked up to Littlefoot squeaking licking him on the nose and squealing before running a crazy loop her stone jingled with every step.
-
Both of the grandparents watched her, wondering exactly what that stone was. They didn't really want to ask in case the newcomers thought they were being rude, and it could have been something similar to wearing a treestar on one's head like Littlefoot did a few times when he was younger, so they shrugged it off for now. Grandma nuzzled her grandson.
"All right, little one," she said quietly. "It's all right. Do you want to go home?"
-
Littlefoot nodded his muzzle was stained in dry blood,he too wondered what that stone was "What is that stone that little baby has?" Littlefoot questioned
-
Grandma turned to Nani. "You'll have to excuse us," she said, picking up her grandson and walking away. Grandpa just looked back at the family sadly before following his mate. She placed Littlefoot on his back before heading off in a different direction.
"Where are you going?" Grandpa asked her, confused.
"To find that Taro fellow," Grandma answered. "I need to speak to him." The two split up, Grandpa going to the resting place with Littlefoot, and Grandma to find where Taro was.
-
Uzuri sat by the stream by herself,her family took off. She looked around "Mum? Dad?" she called out.
Meanwhile Hades was yelling at Ben "How could you,attack that child! You should be ashamed"
Nani picked up Nahla and walked off,a little bit lost she bumped into Littlefoot's friends "Oh sorry young ones" she said shifing her baby to the top of her head.
-
"Ohhh! Your little one is sooo cute, yep, yep, yep!" Ducky giggled.
"And she pink, that more cute!" Petrie added giggling as well.
Cera was still at her thinking place
-
"WHAT EVER!" Ben shouted and ran off through the valley,he threw himself to the ground not realizng that it was Cera's spot "I Hate him!" he shouted.
-
Nani smiled "Thank you dears her name is Nahla,she was a sister about you kids age I'll send her to come play with you".
-
Cera was frightened at first. But then she realized it was just one of the stupid Longneck kids.
"What are you doing here! That's MY place!" She shouted at him.
-
Ben rolled his eyes "Sorrry princess,don't cry like the runt Littlefoot,haha why I crybaby he is" he laughed remembering Littlefoot "Well I beat some sense into him"
-
"Oh, you already know Littlefoot?!" Cera wondered," Well! I'm his friend, but he can be a real crybaby at times indeed! Whenever we have a fight he cries, that's just meh!
Anyway, you shouted that you hated someone! Who do you hate? Littlefoot?"
"Oh, yep, yep, yep!" Ducky chattered," We'll play with her, we will, we will! Right Spikie?"
Spike nodded in agreement and grinned at Nahla.
-
(Filling in)
Ben pounded at the ground "My father...though I hate Littlefoot very much to" he nodded to the little blood on his chest that Littlefoot must of rubbed on him and Ben got right upon of him during his attack "This is his blood" he laughed "And he just cried,waaah waaah waaah" he mimicked Littlefoot. "When I see him again I'm gonna give him a beating he will never forget" he declared unaware of who was near by.
(Your turn Ram. It can be Taro or Grandma or both)
-
Grandma still hadn't found Taro, but she was in the area she thought he was resting in.
Meanwhile Taro and Lily had gone exploring, despite his tiredness Taro couldn't get to sleep while it was still so bright. They had heard what Ben had just said, and Lily came out of the trees, talking for the first time in ages.
"That doesn't sound very nice," she said quietly, more to Taro than Ben, but he heard her just fine. Taro also came from behind the trees, almost glaring at Ben.
"Hmm. What exactly is your problem with that Littlefoot, kid?" he asked. "As far as I was aware, you and your family are newcomers too, so what exactly is the big deal with him?"
-
"Cause he a weak little runt" Ben commented.
Nahla running off after her mother placed her down to gather some tree-sweets for her family came bounding up Ben giggling.
Ben smirked and used his head to bash his sister.
The baby screamed as she was thrown to the ground.
Ben laughed "Stupid baby sister".
-
"Well, seems you're just a jerk all around then, aren't you?" Taro asked, irritated that he couldn't just slap Ben without getting into huge trouble. Since he didn't have much sleep he was beginning to get on the moody side. Lily went over to Nahla and just stared at her, seemingly lost in her past. Nahla reminded her of someone she knew... someone she knew dearly...
-
Nahla smiled at Lily and squealed rubbing up against her and yawning before collapsing asleep on her foot.
Ben stared at Taro "What did I do?".
-
"HEY!" Cera shouted," can you please discuss this somewhere else?! That's MY place and want to be left alone!!!"
-
"Well, since I got here, all I've seen you do is bully on those younger than you," Taro answered.
Lily watched as Nahla fell asleep on her foot. "Ah." She looked as if she were about to cry, it was painful but happy at the same time. Taro walked up to the two.
"Heh, what a cutie," he said. "Shall we get her back to her parents?" Lily just nodded a nudged the little one to awaken her.
-
Nahla opened one eye then the other and looked up squealing. She stared at Cera and in her baby voice called her "Whiny bum".
Across the valley Nani was frantic looking for her daughter,she ran up to Grandpa "Papa Longneck! Nahla is gone!" she cried tears of worry in her eyes "She is just a baby,she will get hurt or lost or....KILLED" she screamed the last bit
Littlefoot who was laying across Grandpa's back was starting to doze off till Nani's screaming awoke him. He looked up at the mother and turned away again missing his own.
-
Grandpa was worried, but he didn't seem too frightened. "Don't worry, Nani," he said. "We'll help you find her."
"No need for that!" came a voice. Grandma came out of the trees, followed by Taro who had both Lily and Nahla on his back. Lily was shaking again with the presence of Grandma Longneck, but tried to shrug it off and looked away for the time being, not wanting to think about it. "Taro found her," said the ageing female, smiling at the young male. She picked up Nahla, her head being much too close for Lily's liking. The larger of the two children nearly whimpered, but stopped herself.
"Here you go, Nani," said Grandma, placing the little one on her mother's head.
-
Nani smiled "Oh thank you so much I was so worried".
Nahla nuzzled her mother happily,before turning and pointing at Lily "Friend!" she told her mother "FRIEND!".
Littlefoot sighed in annoyance. He saw Ben walking towards the group and gasped getting closer to the base of Grandpa's neck so he would not be seen.
-
"Not a problem," Taro smiled. Lily seemed in complete shock when Nahla called her friend. She only ever had one other true friend in her life, and that was the dinosaur she was riding right now. Grandma noticed Ben and her face hardened slightly. She stood by her mate's side, trying to keep Littlefoot out of sight.
-
Ben smiled "Oh heeey,wheres Littlefoot. The stupid little runt....I mean..." he cut off after seeing his mother glare,
"Ben..did you hurt that child?' How could you! You could of killed him,your much taller and heavier your lucky you did not crush him!". Nani turned to Grandma and Grandpa "I am so sorry,I do hope Littlefoot is alright".
Littlefoot was shaking,barely a day and he was already terrified of Ben. His face still looking a bit pale,he needed to sleep for a while but it seemed he won't be getting that right now.
Nahla giggled smiling at Lily "HI FRIEND!"
-
(Hi again! :D)
Ben pushed his mother "So what if I hurt Littlefoot? He a stupid cry baby. No one would miss him anyway if he died!" he shouted pushing his mother again he picked up a stone and tossed it at Nahla's head before storming off pushing past Taro.
(Jerk,oh and I see you edited the character list for bios...well some of them)
-
Nani stumbled back and tripped over her own tail after her son shoved her "GET BACK HERE!" she screamed slowly getting back own her feet.
Sadly the stone striking her in the head and now her mother falling back was enough to send Nahla flying,she landed with a heavy thud and did not seem to be moving. She was alive though,that was proven when her loud screaming began.
"NAHLA!" Nani shouted still getting to her feet. The little food and rest due the the journey was taking a toll on her energy.
(Zimmy stop beating up my characters :p)
-
Ducky, Petrie and Spike heard Nahlas crying.
"It not sound like she hungry!" Petrie told them.
"Mmmhmm!" Spike grumbled.
"Let's go there and look after her! Maybe Littlefoot has now time for playing!" Ducky said.
"Hopefully!" Petrie replied. He rose into the air, Spike with Ducky on his back followed him.
-
Lily immediately went over to Nahla. "Hey, are you all right?" she asked, gently nuzzling her. Grandma turned to Nani.
"We can look after her for a bit if you like," she suggested. She turned to her grandson. "What about you, Littlefoot? Do you want to go and meet with your friends?"
-
Nani nodded "If you don't mind babysitting that is,I would love if you's could watch her for a bit while me and Hades have a rest" she got fully to her feet and was about to go and see to her daughter when the sight made her stop.
Nahla was hugging lily around the nose and climbing on to her head giggling.
Littlefoot only yawned and closed his eyes in response,he just wanted to sleep for a bit.
-
After the gang walked a bit Petrie made a discovery
"Hey guys! There he is!" he croaked from above.
Cera rolled her eyes:" Petrie! You really need glasses!!! That's a girl!"
Ducky giggled.
"Ohhh! Me not saw that!" he replied.
"Hey! she seems nice!" Ducky told them," let's ask her, whether she want to play with us!"
"Good idea!" Cera said sarcastically," another newcomer!!!"
They walked towards the girl..
-
Grandma chuckled at Littlefoot and turned back to Nani. "Of course we don't mind, dear," she said. "It'll be our pleasure." Grandpa looked at Lily.
"You can join us too, if you want," he said, smiling at her. Lily almost immediately felt scared. Grandpa looked at Taro. "If that's okay with you of course."
"Hey, fine with me," Taro answered, yawning. "I need some sleep anyway. And Lily needs to be more sociable." Lily groaned when she heard the last sentence. Taro ignored her. "So, whaddya say?" he asked her. She looked from one grandparent to the other, and then to Nahla. She sighed in defeat.
"Er... all right, then," she said quietly.
"Great!" Taro exclaimed. He nuzzled Lily. "I'll see you later, then," he said before walking off.
-
Uzuri looked up and saw the gang,the odd coloured longneck smile "Oh hello".
Nani smiled "Thank you",she went and nuzzled her daughter and whispered "Be good" and went to go find her mate.
Almost as soon as she left Nahla began screaming.
-
"Hello! Do you want to play with us?" Ducky asked Uzuri a friendly smile in her face.
"I'm Ducky and this is my brother Spike! He can't talk, but he's really nice, hehehe!"
Spiked licked Uzuri.
"Hi! My name Petrie!" Petrie croaked.
"I'm Cera!" Cera said. She looked at Uzuri skeptically.
-
Lily went up to the screaming longneck.
"Hey, don't worry. Your mummy will be back soon," she said. "She's just tired and needs to rest for now." She saw the stone around Nahla's neck. "Oh, that's pretty..."
-
Nahla kept screaming rubbing against Lily,her stone jingling. Still screaming she turned and tripped over it due to the vine breaking and leaving it dangling at her feet which just made her scream more.
Uzuri smiled "I'm Uzuri" she answered in the same Arabic like accent her mother and her sister sorta had "Sure I'll love to play".
-
"Great!" Ducky and Petrie screamed the same time.
"Can I ask you some questions before we play together?" Cera asked. Hopefully she'd find out something that'd interest her father.
Since the others glared at her she explained:" Well! It's just I'm curious!"
Ducky, Petrie and Spike changed meaningful glares.
-
"Uh oh," said Grandpa. "I should probably get another vine."
"Yes, perhaps you should," said Grandma. Grandpa rushed off to find something quickly while Grandma ad Lily tried to comfort the little one.
-
Nahla stopped screaming but still sobbed,she turned and hugged Lily "L-l-l-Lily" she declared. The hatchling longneck snuggled against Lily's leg "Lily,Lily,LILY!". She turned and stumbled over to Grandma "Grama,grama!" she said trying to copy with Littlefoot said a while ago.
Uzuri nodded "Sure ask me anything".
-
"Where are you from?" Cera asked trying to sound friendly.
"Spiky, I don't think Cera like her!" Ducky worried.
"Me think that, too!" Petrie told them.
Spike nodded in agreement and ate some grass.
-
Lily smiled, her eyes stinging with tears. It reminded her so much of her happy days, but it also brought some sadness of why it didn't last.
"Are you okay?" Grandma asked. Lily just nodded, not making eye contact with her. Grandpa soon returned with the vines.
"Not sure how we're going to get it back on her," he said.
"Oh, may I?" Lily asked uncertainly.
"Of course," said Grandpa, putting the short vine down next to her. Lily bit it down to the right size and weaved it through the stone in place of the old one, which was made slightly too short when it snapped. She tied it around Nahla's neck and smiled at her, hoping she would be happier now.
-
Nahla giggled stomping around proudly. She walked over to Grandpa and plop down by his tail. Placing her front feet in mud she began to splatter it all over the males tail,it seems this was game to her.
Uzuri tilted her head at Cera "They call it The Shadowlands...why?".
-
"The Shadowlands, eh?" Cera laughed.
"Sorry, I have to go home! See you!"
"What are The Shadowlands?" Ducky shyly asked.
"Yeah! And why Cera go home?" Petrie wondered.
Spike still ate some grass, but he listened to the conversation.
-
Uzuri seemed startled "Oh...umm it a very bad place. Theres hardly any food or water. You have to travel 3 hours just to get your dinner,my family had enough and we ran away to here" she pawed at the ground nervous.
-
"Ok! Enough questions, let's play something, yep, yep, yep!" Ducky supposed.
"Yes! What you want play, Uzuri?" Petrie asked her.
Spike stopped eating grass and smiled at Uzuri.
-
Uzuri shrugged "Anything,I wanna learn some of you guys games".
-
"You know Kick the Seeds?" Petrie asked Uzuri?
"Hehehe, Spikie will win, he always win, yep, yep, yep!" Ducky chuckled.
Spike licked his sister.
-
Uzuri shook her head "No..can you teach me though?"
-
"Sure! We on a hill. We have stone. We lie some seeds there. We have to hit stone. Who reach most seeds win! Understand?" Petrie tried to explain her.
Meanwhile Cera arrived at the Threehorn's resting place. "Daddy!? I have to tell you something, you won't like it, but it's very important!"
-
Uzuri nodded slowly "I think so.."
-
"You'll learn by playing, you will, you will!" Ducky told her.
"Ducky right!" Petrie confirmed.
Spike walked towards the hill, where they usually play Kick the Seeds.
"hehehehe! Spike's leading us, yep, yep, yep! Ducky giggled.
"Have you talked to the strangers? How could you?" Mr.Threehorn rumbled.
-
Uzuri followed them only to crash into her brother.
(Annnnnd fil in)
"Hey what you doing Uzuri?" Ben smirked
-
"Who's that?!?" Petrie and Ducky screamed at the same time.
"They've talked to me, they all came to me and they got on my nerves so I asked a girl, where she comes from and now guess, where she's from!" Cera told her father heavyly breathing since she's so excited.
-
Uzuri quickly turned "My brother but he bad news,he beat up another kid named Littlefoot. He a bully".
-
"He our friend!" Petrie protested," leave him alone!"
Petries anger made him cocky.
Ducky hide under Spike.
-
Ben raged "How dare you!" he raised his tail and whipped Pertie sending him flying. "Littlefoot just a stupid crybaby who does not even deserve to me alive,why just before I heard him crying for his mother-HAHAHA!".
-
Ducky. who picked Petrie from the ground, Spike and Uzuri ran away from Ben.
"Ehm...I don't know, Cera!" Mr. Threehorn admitted.
"Be prepared!" Cera warned him. "They're from the Shadowlands!!!"
(uh oh)
-
(Uh oh)
Nani and Hades were walking towards the children,however not really seeing them. Their eyes drooping with sleep.
Uzuri looked up and saw her parents "Hey theres my mum and dad!" she told the gang "Lets go tell them about and maybe ask if Nahla-thats my hatchling sister can play with us too!"
-
"Sounds good to me!" Ducky replied.
"Yeah! Me want to play with little cutie!" Petrie told her.
Spike nodded in agreement.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!" Ceras father raged so that the whole valley could hear.
"You stay here!" he told her.
Then he went to the other adults except the longnecks...
-
Lily jumped when she heard Mr Threehorn. "What was that?!"
"Eh, Mr Threehorn... again," Grandpa groaned, looking very unamused. "Something's up."
"Shall we go and...?" Grandma suggested.
"Not with the little one," her mate answered, watching Lily and Nahla.
-
Nahla yawned she always had a nap around this time.
Nani looked down at her daughter "Uzuri! Who are your friends?"
-
(Uhh yeah I just realized I'm meant to be Petrie :slap oops)
Petrie fluttered in front of Nani "My name Petrie!" he flew and landed on Uzuri's head.
-
"I'm Ducky and that's my brother Spike!" Ducky explained to Nani.
Spike nodded in agreement.
"We're friends of Littlefoot, we are, we are!"
-
Nani frowned "Littlefoot" she turned to Hades "The little one..."
"That was injured...yes" Hades finished looking down at the children. With his dark black body and bright red eyes he looked pretty freaky.
-
"Littlefoot injured?" Petrie asked unbelievingly.
"What happened to him?" Ducky asked worried sick.
Spike looked sad.
-
Nani sighed "He was attacked. Don't worry little ones,he is fine expect for a few bruises" she smiled "He is with his Grandparents sleeping right now"
-
"Okay, then it's good, yep, yep, yep!" Ducky said relieved.
"Yes, but who hurt him?" Petrie asked further," Me attacked by young Longneck few minutes ago!"
Spike nodded with an angry expression.
-
Concern spread acorss Nani's face "What did this longneck look like?"
-
Lily and the grandparents stayed awake while the younger ones had a nap. Lily wasn't overall comfortable with this now that Nahla was asleep, but she tried not to show anything.
"So, Lily, whereabouts are you and Taro from?" Grandma asked, trying to stir up some conversation, as there had been some awkward silence after the little ones had dozed off.
"Well... we sort of travel all over the place, really," she answered.
"And it's just you two alone?" Grandpa questioned.
"Er... yeah... we, er... we sometimes join farwalking herds, but usually it's just us two," she explained. She sighed, looking to the ground, and the older longnecks could tell that she didn't really want to talk about it, so Grandma changed the topic.
"So... do you like it here?" she asked, Lily nodded in return. For a while the three just talked about the Great Valley, along with some stories being shared about it's history.
-
"Uzuris...brother...!" Ducky shyly answered.
-
Littlefoot let out a whimper and shifted in his sleep crying out something that sounded like "Mother".
-
Grandma just sighed, watching her grandson. Lily opened her mouth to ask something, but shut it again when she saw just how upset both of the adult longnecks looked.
"Were you going to ask something, Lily?" Grandpa asked, noticing what had just happened.
"I..." she hesitated, not sure whether or not to say it. "I was going to ask where his mother is, but I think I figured it out... I'm sorry."
-
Nani glanced into the distance "Ben?"
Littlefoot kept crying for his mother like he was expecting her to answer "Mother!".
Nahla on the other hand was in perfect peace. She placed one of her front feet on her nose and sneezed but not waking.
-
"Littlefoot!" Grandma nudged him, trying to wake him up. She knew it probably wasn't good when he had sleep stories about his mother.
-
Littlefoot jerked awake and looked around "Mother?" he whispered tears in his eyes.
-
"Shh, it's okay," Grandma whispered, nuzzling Littlefoot.
Lily watched them sorrowfully. She didn't even have a mother-figure any more, everyone she loved had perished. She turned back towards Nahla and pretended to sleep, remembering her own family.
-
Nahla woken by all the crying jerked awake and began screaminmg.
Littlefoot sighed "Sorry,I did not mean to wake up the baby" he sounded like he felt guilty.
-
"It's all right, little one," said Grandma, still nuzzling him.
Lily immediately tried to calm Nahla down, and sang her a lullaby, the same one that her mother used to sing to her when she was a hatchling. The grandparents merely watched her, seeing the memories flashing in her eyes.
-
Nahla calmed by the lullaby yawned and snuggles against Lily and fell back asleep.
Littlefoot watched them thinking of his own memories. He suddenly stood up and ran off sobbing,you could hear him quietly calling "Mother"
-
"Littlefoot!" Grandpa called, rushing after him. Grandma could feel tears stinging in her eyes, but she managed to hold them back. Lily couldn't; she let silent tears fall, but turned away from Grandma so she couldn't see them.
-
Littlefoot suddenly stopped when he heard his Grandpa "Grandpa?"
-
"I'm here. What's wrong, Littlefoot?" his grandpa asked, nuzzling him.
-
"I miss Mother" Littlefoot answered sadly wiping his tears.
-
"I know, little one," Grandpa whispered. "So do I... but she is always in your heart. Remember that."
-
Littlefoot sobbed "I want her here with me...it was all my fault it happened...If I just stayed at home" he buried his head into Grandpa's leg sobbing.
-
"Shh... It's not your fault," Grandpa whispered. "We can't change what happened. If anything what happened was my fault. I should have been there..." Tears started to fall, and he brought the little one closer to him.
-
"And dad doesn't even seem to like me,he hardly ever comes here and when he does he always is here for a job or something,just not to spend time with me" he sobbed,memories coming crashing down on him.
-
"Oh Littlefoot..." his grandpa sighed. "Of course your father loves you, but leading a herd has a lot of duties, and perhaps he doesn't realise just how much time is passing in between visits. Don't worry, Grandma and I will give him a good scolding to spend some time with you when he next comes here." He chuckled, imagining his wife throwing a fit a Bron since Littlefoot thought that about him.
-
Littlefoot sighed and faced away from his Grandpa as if he was hiding something from his own Grandparents.
-
"Littlefoot?" Grandpa asked, looking at him with concern. He didn't particularly enjoy it when Littlefoot behaved like this.
-
Littlefoot sighed "After mother died....I....." he looked down not wanting to see Grandpa's reaction "Tried to kill myself".
(Thats from a fic..not one of mine though)
-
"However, let's play the game now!" Ducky supposed.
-
"You... you did wh-" Grandpa interrupted himself, startled that Littlefoot came out with this now. "Littlefoot... why are you telling me this now?"
-
Littlefoot did not answer and just stared at the ground.
Uzuri nodded "Yep,lets go!"
-
Grandpa just stared at his grandson, not knowing what to say to him. It had shocked him, to put it lightly. He suddenly felt like a failure... he had not been there for his grandson or his daughter when that earthshake struck and separated them. He suddenly collapsed to the ground, silently crying.
-
"And I still am...kinda...wanting to...." Littlefoot cut himself off noticing how sad his Grandpa had become.
-
While playing the game(Spike vs. Uzuri since Ducky and Petrie were too weak and too little) they talked about Ben...
"Why's your brother so mean? Ducky questioned Uzuri.
-
Grandpa wanted to turn away, not hearing any more. He couldn't believe the words coming out of his grandson's mouth. Shock and sadness were the only emotions he could feel right now... he felt like a complete failure. He just wondered if Littlefoot had always felt this way and he had never realised it.
-
"I'm sorry..I did not want to make anyone...sad" Littlefoot said starting to walk away.
Uzuri shrugged "He just is,Nahla is pretty odd too" she said using her tail to toss te stone only to hit Mr Threehorn in the head.
(Hehehe Uzuri in trouble)
-
Grandpa pulled him back and pulled him close. "I'm the one who should be sorry, Littlefoot," he said. "I didn't know you felt this way, and I should have done."
-
"Me think, Mr. Threehorn at times deserve it!" Petrie commented.
"hehehe, he do, he do!"
Spike nodded in agreement.
It's his turn now so he headbutted the stone far away.
"Well done, Spikie!" Ducky celebrated him.
"Good shot!" Petrie comfirmed.
-
Littlefoot sobbed "I sound like a big crybaby".
Uzuri looked down the hill "Wheres that threehorn...Cera I believe her name was. Doesn't she want to play too?"
-
Grandpa smiled weakly. "I'm a bigger one," he confessed.
-
Littlefoot looked around "Sometimes,I feel like I'm forcing myself to live" he admitted
-
"Me not know!" Petrie sighed.
"Cera can be strange at times!" Ducky admitted," but she's really nice, if you get to know her, yep, yep, yep!"
"But her father always strange!" Petrie croaked.
"I have a bad feeling that her father forced her to find out things about the newcomers, oh nope, nope, nope!"
"Let's hope you wrong Ducky!"
"Yep!"
-
Grandpa just closed his eyes and sighed. Why was Littlefoot acting like this? He thought he had recovered from his mother's death and was happy again.
-
Littlefoot sighed "Can we go home now? I'm still tired" he said just wanting to lay down and think for a while.
Uzuri gulped "I hope not as well...." she seemed really nervous.
-
Grandpa just nodded, getting up and starting to walk in the direction of the resting place.
-
"Don't worry, Uzuri!" Ducky told her and jumped on her back.
"We will defend you, won't we, Spiky?"
"Mmmhmm!"
"Me will defend you, too, me stroooooong!" Petrie told them showing off.
They laughed.
-
Littlefoot slowly got to his feet and walked after him tears trailing to the ground.
Uzuri shook her head "You don't...understand"
-
"Alright! Then explain us!" Ducky offered.
-
"If any adults find out the truth about my family..they'll.....kill us" Uzuri stammered watching nearby adults.
-
"Killing someone for being a Shadowlander?" Ducky ingredulously asked.
"That not fair!" Petrie shouted angered.
Spike looked mad.
Meanwhile Mr. Threehorn arrived at the Flyer's cave.
"Tell everybody we'll have to discuss something pretty important!!!" He ordered Mama Flyer.
"Sure!" She replied and flew away.
-
Uzuri sighed "Yes...me and my family will all die" she stood up and started running down the hill "I'll be back I have to warn my parents" she ran only to crash into Mr Threehorn.
-
Grandma had decided to take a short nap while Lily watched over Nahla. She looked over and saw Grandpa and Littlefoot walking in the distance, both looking very upset. She looked back at Grandma who was fast asleep, and decided to tell her what was going on later when she woke up.
-
Littlefoot plopped to the ground sobbing softly.
Nahla opened her eyes and yawned and stood up. She began to stomp around throwing her head side to side. She walking back over to Lily and pushed a small stone towards her wanting her to play with her.
-
Lily just looked at the stone, then back at Nahla. She hadn't played in a long time and wasn't entirely sure what to do.
-
Nahla tilted her head and squeaked pushing the stone closer. Of course due to Nahla's bad Great Valley language (English) she could not really tell Lily what she wanted she looked up at the older girl "Kucheza?" [Translation: Play?]
(Yay for random language Nahla)
-
"Uh..." Lily kicked the small stone, wondering if that was what Nahla meant.
-
"Sooo, you are in trouble young lady!" Mr. Threehorn shouted at her.
"Follow me! No questions!"
Ducky, Petrie and Spike saw that, they didn't like what's going on.
"Oh no! He might hurt her!" Ducky cried out.
"Me not like this!" Petrie whimpered.
Spike shrugged.
-
Uzuri gulped but followed the three-horn.
Nahla giggled and kicked the stone back.
Littlefoot looked over at them remembering how his mother played with him,he held a small sharp rock but he did not plan to use it. However no one else would not that.
-
"That sounds like biiiiiiiig trouble!" Ducky sighed," We must do something, but what?!"
"Me not know!" Petrie sighed.
Spike grumbled something.
"You're right Spikie, you are, you are! He supposes to tell Littlefoots grandparents!"
"That good idea! I tell them and you observe Toppsy!"
"Ok, good Luck! Cmon Spike!"
-
Lily kicked it back at her, smiling. Grandma woke up, watching the two quietly, so it took Lily a while to notice.
"Oh," she said when she finally noticed, and stopped playing for a moment. "Can I tell you something quickly?"
"Of course," Grandma yawned.
"I just saw your grandson and mate... and both of them looked really upset..." she said quietly. Grandma looked towards her resting place, sighing.
"Would you mind keeping an eye on Nahla for a while longer?" she asked, getting up.
"Sure," Lily answered. Grandma rushed to Grandpa and Littlefoot.
-
Uzuri walked with her head hang head down,kicking a stone and hitting threehorn "Oops sorry I did not mean too"
Littlefoot still held his rock head hung,lost in his own world. But to anyone else he looked plain suicidal. He just stared at his leg completely zoned out.
Nahla bounced around Lily cheering "LILY LILY LILY LILY!"
(Littlefoot zone out....like me. and I doubt Threehorn gonna believe Uzuri hmm)
-
Lily just sighed and kicked the rock back at Nahla, trying to forget about what she saw.
"Right, what's going on, then?" Grandma asked the two zoned out longnecks when she reached the resting place.
-
"I recommend you to enjoy your last breathing!" Mr.Threehorn yelled at her. "Pah!"
Meanwhile Petrie's mum told all adults. They all wandered to the Rock Circle.
Petrie found Grandpa and Littlefoot:
"Grandpa Longneck! Grandpa Longneck!" he croaked from above.
-
Uzuri gasped in horror "YOU CAN'T KILL ME! YOU SICK MONSTER!" she screamed
Littlefoot did not even look up,his face was blank but he said something that came out "Mother...take me to where you are".
Nahla stopped playing and sat down. She was looking up at tree-sweets drooling.
-
"Petrie... what's wrong?" Grandma asked. Grandpa was about to answer her previous question but it looked like Petrie had got him out of it. He had heard Littlefoot, but he didn't know what else to say.
-
"I must die...I must die" Littlefoot said over and over. It was like it was not even him speaking.
(Littlefoot=new Nahla? I did not mean for this to happen...oops :unsure,ah he'll be okay after a nights sleep)
-
"Mr. Threehorn found out they are from Shadowlands, he forced Uzuri to follow him!" he screamed panicky.
-
"Littlefoot!" his grandma cried, horrified. "What in the world are you saying?!"
"He's been acting like that since..." Grandpa didn't finish the sentence.
"Oh, little one," Grandma whispered, nuzzling Littlefoot gently. "I'm sorry." She turned to her mate. "Go with Petrie."
Grandpa nodded and got up, turning to the small flyer. "Sorry about that," he said. "Littlefoot's not in a great mood today. You said Uzuri's with Mr Threehorn?!"
-
Littlefoot raised his head revealing his knife rock. He looked at Grandma " I want to die and go to mother".
(Littlefoot should like...time a nap..another one anyway he gone insane)
-
"Cera told him!" Petrie croaked," they maybe walk to Rock Circle?" he guessed
Mr. Threehorn went mad. He pressed Uzuri against the nearliest tree, nearly pinning her at the tree with his horns: "Listen carefully!" he warned her," I could do it RIGHT NOW, if you doesn't SHUT UP!
We normally doesn't do things without discussing it, but it'd be much easier, if I do it now!
Besides I have to kill the others, too so it might be better y'all die together!"
He gave her a disgusted glare.
"Hurry up!"
-
Uzuri struggled against the weight "YOUR A MONSTER!" blood was beginning to pour and she was struggling to breath.
-
Ducky and Spike watched Mr.Threehorn from some distance.
"He's going to KILL her, Spikie!!!" Ducky cried," we have to call for help, yep, yep, yep! Help me Spike!"
Spike nodded and began to make weird noices.
"Help! Help!" Ducky screamed as loudly as possible hoping Petrie or an adult would hear her and stop Mr. Threehorn....
-
Uzuri got her tail free and slapped the theehorn "LET ME GO FREAK!" she screamed. Her eyes dropped closed but she was still struglging.
An angry roar could be heard and Nani charged towards the threehorn "LEAVE MY DAUGHTER ALONE!" she shouted
-
"F*** off!!!" Mr. Threehorn yelled at her," Shadowlanders will be killed here!!!
Petrie heard Mr. Threehorn shouting around.
"Why he shouts?" he asked Grandpa
-
Nani charged forward and rammed into the threehorn making him release her daughter.
Uzuri dropped to the ground.
Nani gasped and nudged her,tears formed in her eyes. She stared at the threehorn "YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER!" She rammed him again "Now I'll kill you!" she said her eyes glowing with rage.
-
Mr. Threehorn was shocked. He didn't expected the Shadowlander to attack him. Now he went completely crazy. Like a bull he runned towards Nani and stuck his horns deeply into her body...
(uh oh... he's so brutal, you shouldn't hit girls, nope, nope, nope)
-
Nani screamed in pain blood pouring "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?!!"
-
Mr. Threehorn stood in front of her, he triumphantly laughed when he was about to end her life, but he was suddenly interrupted...
( by whom? WHOM?!!!)
-
"MR THREEHORN!" Grandpa shouted, running into the scene and standing in front of Nani, shoving him out of the way slightly. "What do you think you're doing?!"
~
"I know you miss her, little one," said Grandma, nuzzling her grandson. "I do too. I felt the same way when we were separated in that earthshake. I thought I had lost you too..."
-
Nani collapsed to the ground tears her eyes as she stared over to the tree "He killed my daughter!".
Littlefoot backed up "I must die".
-
"She is a danger for our kids! She must DIE!!!She's from the SHADOWLANDS!!!"
Petrie flew to Ducky and Spike. They watched the scene from the distance...
Cera heard the noice so she decided to look where it came from.
-
Grandpa was horrified. "I know this female, she's from our old herd," he explained. "She and her family can be trusted. Why do you just never talk it over before throwing your anger fits?! It doesn't do anyone any good!" He looked as if he were about to throw an anger fit at the Threehorn if he carried on.
Grandma just shook her head. "No, little one," she said. "You just need some rest."
-
Nani's eyes slipped close weakened from the blood. Her breaths coming in heavy gasps.
Uzuri was laying motionless...completely motionless.
Nahla overhearing her mothers scream started running towards the scene "MUMMY! MUMMY!"
"Must die" was all Littlefoot could say right now.
-
As Cera arrived at the scene she saw Ducky, Petrie and Spike. She walked towards them, but quikly stopped... Ducky, Petrie and Spike glared at her, anger, sadness and disappointment was flooding their bodies. They turned around showing Cera their backs like Cera often does with them.
Cera saw Uzuri lying motionless on the ground. She realized what she had done so she stormed away to her thinking place...
-
Nahla nudged her mother "Mummy? Mummy get up" she begged "Mummy?" she started screaming. She turned to three-horn and shouted "BULLY!" and forgetting she was just a hatchling charged forward and began to hit the threehorn on the leg.
Another roar was heard as Hades charged into view,deeply angered.
-
Mr. Threehorn got very close to explode...
"Why always Cera?" Petrie asked angryly.
"Yes, I don't understand her, nope, nope, nope!" Ducky shouted.
-
Hades stepped into the threehorns face "Lay one of ugly horns on her and see what happens to you,I am a Shadowlander,we are trained for war. I can kill you...and your mate and both your little brats" Hades used his head to shove the threehorn in the chest.
-
Mr. Threehorn tried to fight Hades, but he quickly realized he should better run away...
"We should tell Littlefoot, we should, we should! He always know what to do, yep, yep, yep!"
Spike nodded in agreement.
"Oh no, not more fights!" Petrie croaked when Hades challanged Mr. Threehorn.
Ducky and Spike both nodded
-
"Nahla!" Lily called, following her and trying to get her away from the angry threehorn. She looked up in terror at Hades and Mr Threehorn battling, and then looked over to Uzuri and Nani. Lily ran over to Grandpa, who was looking for a chance to stop the fighting.
"Go and help Nahla's mother!" she told him. "We'll help that other girl there!" Grandpa just nodded and went over to Nani, seeing what he could do to help. He would have to leave it to the other adults to stop the fighting for now. He didn't know Hades too well and didn't want to get in his bad books.
Meanwhile Taro had woken up, being close to the scene he had heard the yelling, and went to see what exactly was going on.
-
Hades knocked the threehorn to the ground "You killed my daughter and now my mate is dying too" he stood over him his eyes glowing "Now you will pay".
Nahla poked her sister "Sissy,sissy!" but she did not get a response.
Littlefoot's eyes were blank,he stood up and began to run "I must die".
-
"Hey! there's Littlefoot!" Ducky called.
"Me watch him from above and you walk!" Petrie told them.
"Yep, Yep, Yep, let's tell Littlefoot what happened.
Mr. Threehorn meanwhile started begging:" Please, I have kids!"
-
Lily looked around for life signs, and luckily she heard something. "I don't think she's going to wake up for a while," she sadly admitted. Grandpa started to tend to Nani's wounds, still panicking.
"Hey! What's going on?" came a voice. Taro came through the trees, looking at Hades and the Threehorn with concern.
"Oh no you don't," said Grandma, grabbed Littlefoot's tail and pulling him back before he could go anywhere. "You're staying right here until you get your thoughts in order."
-
Hades snarled and backed off "Next time I catch you or your anyone in your family near mine,I'll snap all your necks" he got pressed his face against threehorns "GOT THAT GREY BALL OF BLUBBER?!!"
Nani opened her eyes,in pain but alive.
Nahla starting sobbing the fighting terrified her.
Littlefoot screamed and tried to pull away.
(Littlefoot getting cranky,he need a nappy time :lol)
-
"Y-y-y-yyes! I-I-I g-g-got it!" Mr. Threehorn stammered.
"Littlefoot!" Ducky called from the distance.
-
Taro just stood there, watching in shock.
"Taro!" Lily called, and he immediately went over to her.
"What happened?" he said, looking at Uzuri and then at the crying Nahla.
"I'm not sure... I fight just broke out with the Threehorn," Lily answered.
Grandpa just carried on tending to Nani's wounds, not noticing her eyes were open.
Grandma just kept a firm bite on Littlefoot, but not so much that it would hurt him. She would just have to wait until he calmed down and tired himself out.
-
Hades smirked "Good boy,NOW GET OUT MY SIGHT!" he screamed across the valley.
Nahla screamed and dived underneath Lily screaming and crying.
Littlefoot stopped thrashing and panted. Not even hearing Ducky.
-
"WHOA!" Lily exclaimed when Nahla dived under her. Taro just kept inspecting Uzuri, and look around.
"Hmm... I think I got it," he said. He grabbed a hard treesweet and managed to split it open, revealing some juices, then mashed up some of the soft insides of other treesweets and some leaves. "We could try and give her this stuff."
"Better now?" Grandma asked.
-
Littlefoot's eyes started to droop close. Sobs escaped him "Mother...." he whispered before yawning.
Nahla spotted the tree-sweets and began to beg Taro for some squeaking.
-
Grandma just sighed.
"Hmm? Oh, hello there!" said Taro, noticing Nahla. He got some of the treesweets for her and put them next to the little longnecks. "There you go."
-
"He not notice us!" Petrie shouted.
"Maybe he's ill!" Ducky tried to explain.
"Better we now go home!" Petrie supposed.
"Yep, yep, yep! See you!"
"See you, too!"
Mr. Threehorn slowly walked away.
-
Nahla squealed and bit down on her treat getting juice everywhere.
Littlefoot turned and laid down on leaning against Grandma's leg. Falling asleep.
Nani suddenly sat up with a gasp she looked around frantic for her children.
-
Taro finished making the mixture and Lily carefully poured some of it into Uzuri's mouth. If it didn't wake her up immediately, it would lessen the pain when she would.
Grandpa jumped back in shock when when Nani suddenly sat up.
-
Littlefoot whispred "Grandma? I'm sorry for upsetting everyone...it just seeing the new family together...made me think of how I never got one like that"
Uzuri opened her eyes "Ow.....".
-
Grandma sighed, feeling more upset. "I know, little one, I know..."
"You okay?" Taro asked when he saw Uzuri awake.
-
Littlefoot sighed "Can you carry me?" he then blushed thinking Grandma would think he was being a baby.
Uzuri nodded and looked around and gasped "MUM!" she screamed seeing Nani.
Nani looked over "It ok Uuri,I'll be ok you stay there and rest for a bit".
-
Grandma smiled at him. "Of course, dear," she said, picking him up.
Grandpa stared at Taro. "How did you know that?" he asked. Taro just chuckled.
"The things you learn from being a traveller," he answered.
-
Littlefoot snuggled into Grandma looking around "Where is everyone else?".
Uzuri stood up slowly and ran over to Nani "Will she die?" she asked Grandpa panicked.
Nahla gigging started climbing up Lily's tail "LILY LILY LILY!".
-
"I'm not too sure, little one," she answered. "But I heard some shouting coming from that way, I think something stirred up."
"Don't worry, she'll be okay," Grandpa assured the little one, covering up Nani's wounds with fresh leaves. "She just needs to rest for a while."
-
Littlefoot glanced over to the gathered longnecks "Miss Nani is hurt,and Mr Hades looks mad".
Hades was stomping on the ground over and over "I'll kill him" he muttered.
-
(SOOOO sorry guys,but it would not let me on this site for some reason,send the server was down. But judging by your posts and the times of them thats not the case,*feels bad*)
Petrie flew towards Grandma and Littlefoot "Hello Mrs. Longneck is Littlefoot ok? He seems really sad today" he turned to Littlefoot "What wrong with you?" he asked concerned.
(Oh guys,if it ok with you. I wanna bring in a new character. Since all you guys have like a zillion and I only have 2..wish we could bring Littlefoot's Mother back...that would be awesome,one day we must do that. Anyway I am trying to pick what one of my OCS to bring in,I have soo dang many)
-
Grandma sighed. "Not to worry, Petrie," she said. "He just had a moment, like we all do sometimes. I think he's feeling a bit better now, though." She smiled down at her grandson.
-
Littlefoot kept looking over to the distance "Grandma theres been a fight,we should go help them"
-
"Yes, little one, we should," Grandma agreed, rushing to the scene.
-
Nani got to her feet just as Grandma arrived. The pink female was muttering under her breath.
Hades was pacing back and forth,he was clearly angry.
-
"Nani!" Grandma cried, running up to the younger female. "Oh my goodness, what happened?!"
"Guess who?" her mate asked, examining the stab in Nani's side that the threehorn had given her. Grandma groaned in reply.
"He needs to seriously get a grip," she grumbled. Grandpa nodded in agreement.
-
"He tried to kill me for defending my daughter,he was gonna kill Uzuri!" she stomped her foot only to whine in pain.
-
Grandpa groaned. "I swear he needs to be kicked out if he carries on like this. He has a horrible habit of judging others before actually getting to know them properly."
"Oh my..." Grandma sighed when she saw Nani's wounds. "I swear he's getting worse every day."
-
"Grandma? What did Cera's dad do? I heard Mr Hades say something about killing 'that threehorn'" Littlefoot asked.
Nani stared at Littlefoot and leaned to whisper to Grandpa "Is that Jenna's boy?" she asked.
-
"He had another rampage, Littlefoot," Grandma explained. "As usual," she added.
Grandpa just nodded in reply to Nani's question.
-
"By the way...where is Jenna?" Nani asked too loudly.
Littlefoot raised his head "Jenna? my mother?" tears filled his eyes.
Nani realized "Oh,I did not mean to upset you,I'm so sorry" she looked very guilty.
-
Grandpa felt like he owed Nani an explanation. "Jenna was... she was killed by a sharptooth whilst saving Littlefoot's life, so he's been placed under our care now..."
-
Nani gasped and hang her head saddened "No...." she whispered.
Littlefoot broke into heavy fresh sobs at being reminded that his mother had died and how.
-
Grandma just kept Littlefoot close and gently rubbed her head against him, also starting to cry.
"We try not to talk about it in front of Littlefoot," Grandpa whispered to Nani. "He feels like it was his fault she died."
-
Nani closed her eyes and gulped before whispering back "Sorry...I should not of bought it up with the little one around" she tried to walk away only to cry out in pain.
-
"You need to rest," Grandpa told her. "It's not your fault, you didn't know."
-
Nani laid back to the ground sighing.
Nahla bounced over to her "Mummy mummy mummy mummy mummy" she shouted before bouncing over to Grandpa "HELLO!" she shouted.
(Nahla-moment ruiner)
-
Grandpa chuckled and grinned at Nahla. "Hello," he answered. Grandma smiled at the little one, but she also sighed. Lily just stood there, seemingly in her own world.
-
Uzuri walked slowly over to Lily "You ok?".
Littlefoot's stomach growled "Grandma,Grandpa I'm hungry" he complained.
-
Lily just nodded, still seeming distant.
"Okay, Littlefoot," said Grandma, looking around for some good food to eat, before seeing some left over treesweets next to Taro.
"Do you want them?" he asked. "You're more than welcome to." He seemed to be talking more to Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot nodded slowly.
Nani had fallen asleep,not responding to her daughters cries. She was worn out.
"MUMMY! MUUMMMMMMMMMMY!" the hatchling screamed. Tears formed in her eyes and she began to cry and scream.
-
Nahla's screams had jerked Lily from her daydream, and she ran up to the little one.
"Hey, it's all right," she said. "Your mummy just needs to rest for a bit."
-
Nahla rubbed against Lily sobbing wanting to be picked up "Lily Lily"
-
"Huh? You want me to carry you?" Lily asked.
-
Nahla nodded squeaking "I LOVE YOU LILY!" she declared happily hugging her around the leg.
(Lily can not escape now she stuck with her :lol)
-
Lily just laughed for the first time in a while. It was like having a new sister. Taro watched her happily, it was nice to see her in a good mood.
-
Nahla began to beg to be picked up again "Up?" she asked.
-
"Uh... okay..." said Lily uncertainly, lowering herself down so that Nahla could climb on. She wasn't entirely sure if this was what Nahla meant, though.
-
It was just what Nahla wanted she climbed on giggling.
-
It reminded Lily too much of what had happened before. She drifted away from the real world again.
-
Hades suddenly let out an angry roar and began charging through the valley looking for that threehorn.
-
"Oh my..." Grandma sighed. "This doesn't look very good."
Lily was jerked away from her thoughts again, shuddering from the memories.
-
Nani jerked awake stared in fear "You might wanna go stop him...Hades will kill him...he is trained for war." she stood up to go after her mate "HADES!" she screamed hobbling a few feet.
-
"Yeah... definitely not good," said Grandma.
"I'll go and find him," said Grandpa, starting to walk off.
"I'll go with you," said Taro, walking up to him. "...just in case."
-
Nani tried to go with them but every step bought her pain you could see it in her face.
-
"You need to rest, Nani," Grandma insisted. "They'll find him... I hope."
-
Nani shook her head "I'm fine" she said only to collapsed a few steps later groaning.
-
Grandma just watched over Nani, making sure all of her wounds were tended to.
Grandpa and Taro searched the valley together, hoping they would find Hades soon.
-
Hades was by the watering hole taking a small drink,having no luck with his search.
-
"Erm... Hades?" Grandpa asked, feeling slightly unnerved by the black longneck's presence. "Nani was getting worried about you. "
-
Hades turned and glared at Grandpa. His eyes glowing. He was waiting for the old longneck to explain more of what he wanted.
-
Grandpa felt like shuddering, but managed to keep his cool. He wasn't entirely sure what to say to him though. Luckily, Taro did.
"Look," he said calmly. "Some of the residents heard what happened back there, but we'll let that off for the time being. For now, we're putting the threehorn at fault, but I'll just warn you now, killing a valley resident is completely forbidden and will result in the one at fault and possibly their family being banished for at least several cold times.. If we find the threehorn we'll give him a good scorning and move him to the other side of the valley." Grandpa had been speaking to him about this before they found Hades and Taro was pretty much repeating what he had heard.
"Nani wants you, she's in a lot of pain at the moment," Grandpa explained. "My wife is looking after her and the children for the moment but I think you're the one they need right now."
-
When Ducky and Spike arrived @home they (ok, Ducky :D)told their Mommy, what happened.
She was shocked about Mr. Threehorns behavior towards Nani and Uzuri.
"Well, little one! That'll have consequences for him, be sure about that!" she told her daughter.
"The worst thing for me is that Cera told him! Yep, yep, yep!"
Spike nodded in agreement with a mad expression.
...
-
Hades sighed"Fine but if lays so much a tail tip on any of them again...".
Nani was in great pain,she laid on the ground sobbing.
Littlefoot cowered on Grandmas back,this reminded of the day his mother.....
-
"I mean... Uzuri trusted Cera and we recommented her to do so, yep, yep, yep!"
"I guess she feels bad about that already!" Mommy Swimmer told them," Everyone does mistakes in his life! May it be little or big ones, they just happen from time to time!"
"I know!" Ducky commented.
suddenly Petries mother landed in front of them...
...
-
Mama Flyer turned to Mama Swimmer "You hear? The threehorn tried to kill a longneck and her young child,stabbed the mother and tried to crush the little one"
-
"I already know!" she loudly sighed.
"I told my Mommy, I did, I did!" Ducky jabbered," where's Petrie?"
-
"With the longnecks" Mama Flyer replied "Littlefoot is not feeling to good today and Grandma Longneck is busy looking after Nani...the mother threehorn attacked. And the child is being taken care of by another newcomer,theres a hatchling too why well was...didn't see her with the group".
Nahla bounced through the fields of the valley,she bumped into a grey leg and looked up to see it was Mr Threehorn.
(He better no hurt her)
-
"Mommy? Can Spike and me visit Littlefoot,please?"
"Sure you can, but don't be as loud as usual! He needs quietness!"
"Sure Mommy! See you!"
"See you, my dear!" She sighed. "Well, what can we do now?" she asked more to herself than to Petries mother.
-
"We gotta find that hatchling" Mama Flyer starting rising into the sky "Before threehorn does"
-
"Ok! You're looking for that hatchling from above and I'm searching in the woods, where you can't see much!"
"Spike, do you think Mr. Threehorn ordered Cera to find out some information about the newcomers?"
He responded his way.
"Me think that too, Spikie! yep, yep, yep!"
-
Mama Flyer flew low looking for Nahla.
Nahla stared at Mr Threehorn 'BULLY!" she screamed.
-
Lily was looking everywhere for Nahla since she had run off. "Nahla!" she called, but then she soon found her at a place she really didn't want her to be. "NAHLA!" she screamed after seeing the little one next to Mr Threehorn.
-
Nahla turned and squealed where she saw Lily "LILY!" she bounced over leaping like a reindeer all the way to Lily "LILY LILY LILY"
-
Lily just nuzzled the little one but seemed very uneasy when she saw who was ahead of her.
"Ahh... that's awkward," she said to herself and she looked at Mr Threehorn. She looked at Nahla. "I don't suppose you want to go for a ride, do you?"
-
Nahla nodded "RIDE RIDE RIDE!" she hugged Lily around the leg.
-
"Right, hop on, then," said Lily, lowering herself so Nahla could climb on. "You might want to hold on tight," she added.
-
Nahla scrambled up and hugged Lily's neck "I hold!" she declared happily.
-
"Good," said Lily. She sprinted as fast as she could away from the scene, mostly through thick foliage so the threehorn couldn't follow them so easily.
-
Nahla laughed enjoying the ride "Where we going?" she asked.
-
"Somewhere safer!" Lily answered, getting out of breath but still running as fast as she could.
-
Nahla screamed as she crashed into a branch leaving her hanging onto it as Lily kept going.
(Cute and funny moment)
-
Lily noticed something seemed a little light, and was surprised to see that Nahla wasn't there.
"Now where did you...?" she stopped when she looked behind her and saw Nahla on the branch, and she couldn't help but crack a smile.
-
Nahla giggled but that soon stopped when her branch began to break "Lily!" she screamed.
-
Lily ran under Nahla so she wouldn't fall on the ground. "Don't worry, I've got you!" she yelled.
-
Nahla landed on Lily's back she shook her head and climbed up further hugging Lily around the neck again. Her stomach growled and she began to whimper.
-
"Oh, you're hungry, huh?" Lily asked, before her stomach growled too. "Me too." She looked around, and grabbed some treesweets that Taro had got for her earlier. "These should be nice," she said as she gave a couple to Nahla.
-
Nahla gobbled up her meal getting more of it on Lily then her in her stomach.
-
Spike and Ducky arrived at the longneck's resting place. They went to Petrie who sat next to Littlefoot, who slept.
"Hello Petrie!" Ducky welcomed him.
Spike licked Petrie.
-
Lily laughed at Nahla, and licked the little one on the face, getting some of the treesweet stuff off.
-
Littlefoot rolled over and awoke seeing his friends his screamed "Did you's have to be in my face guys" he laughed.
Nahla tried to bat Lily away but gave up and said "I love you Lily"
-
"hehehe, how are you, Littlefoot?" Ducky asked him.
"Yeah, you still ill and can't play?" Petrie croaked.
-
Lily stared at Nahla and shed a tear of happiness before hugging the little one.
"I love you too, Nahla," she whispered.
-
Nahla squealed in delight "You stay forever?" she asked.
Littlefoot seemed confused,he was not ill but then he realized he could not tell the truth this time "I'm fine I was just getting a bit more sleep,so whats been happening?"
-
"You not will like what happened!" Petrie warned him.
They told him, what happened very detailed.
-
Lily thought for a moment. "I could ask," she answered, nuzzling Nahla. "I'm sure Taro won't mind."
-
Anger quickly filled Littlefoot's what "CERA DID WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" he shouted doing a good impression of Mr Threehorn in the progress.
Nahla snuggled up on Lily and curled up shutting her eyes feeling safe enouh with Lily to take a power snooze.
-
Taro had left to find his adopted daughter and he was surprised to see a smaller longneck snuggled up next to her.
"Well, well, well," he said. "Turning into a babysitter, are we?" Lily giggled.
"Maybe," she replied. "Taro, can we stay here?" Taro stared at her for a bit before smiling.
"Sure," he answered. Lily grinned.
"Thanks," she said. Taro just nuzzled her.
"Anything for my special little girl," he said, laying down next to her.
-
"I can't understand her, no, no, no!" Ducky sighed. "Why did she tell Mr. Threehorn?"
"Me angry!" Petrie shouted sulkily," Me never play with her again!"
Spike made a grim face.
-
"Is..Uzuri...ok?" Littlefoot asking fearing her dead.
Nahla yawned "I love Lily" she said happily but not opening her eyes.
-
Grandma joined the children and overheard Littlefoot's question.
"Don't worry," she said. "She's all right. That other newcomer, Taro I think his name was, made up something and gave it to her, and she seems fine now."
Taro looked at Lily, grinning.
"Shut up," she said sarcastically, burying her head into his side as he laughed.
-
Then Hades stormed up grabbing Nahla and walking off "My family and I are leaving!" he said over his shoulder to Taro,Ben was by his side.
Nahla screamed and tried to go back to Lily "LILY!" she screamed.
-
Lily sat there in shock, Taro watching in disbelief. This couldn't happen to her now, she just felt like she got something back and now it was being taken away from her again. She burst into silent tears.
"I'm sorry, Lily," said Taro, nuzzling the young girl.
-
Hades got Nani up and grabbed Uzuri and began to storm to the exit.
Nahla screamed for Lily the whole time "I WANNA STAY WITH LILY!" she cried over and over
-
Lily sprinted to the exit, just about making it to the family.
"Could I at least say goodbye?" she asked, a pleading look in her eyes. She took one look at Hades and shivered. The sight of him terrified her, but she tried not to show her fear.
-
Hades sighed "Fine" before pretty much tossing the baby to Lily.
-
Lily nuzzled Nahla, tears falling from her eyes.
"Hey, we had fun together, didn't we?" she asked.
-
Nahla hugged Lily "I want stay with you" she sobbed "I no want to go,I want stay with you Lily" the hatchling rubbed against the older longneck.
-
Lily chuckled sadly. "But I can't keep you," she sighed. "You need to stay with your family. It's for the best, but we might see each other again some day, who knows?" She smiled sadly at the little one.
-
Hades walked forward and grabbed his daughter "Your done" he said slapping Nahla at the same time "You brainwashed her now I need to beat the sense back into her" he shouted bringing his tail down on Nahla's head drawing blood.
Nahla screamed in pain and cried out for Lily "LILY!"
-
"NO!" Lily screamed, getting in the way and pulling Nahla back. "I WON'T LET YOU HURT HER LIKE HE HURT THEM! I'M NOT GOING THROUGH THAT AGAIN!"
-
Hades eyes glowed "Give me my daughter back brat"
Nahla snuggled against Lily shaking "Lily help me" she whimpered
-
"Not until your promise to look after her and not do what I just saw again," Lily said sternly. Her protective instincts seemed to have taken over, otherwise she would have turned and ran as fast as she could have done.
-
Hades got right into her face "Don't talk to me like that you little brat" he grabbed Nahla "You want her?" he smirked "Go get her then" he tossed the hatchling over into a river laughing he began to walk again.
-
"NAHLA!" Lily screamed. Without thinking she ran and jumped into the river, grabbing Nahla so that she wouldn't drown, but there was a new threat awaiting them. They were heading straight for a waterfall.
"TARO!" Lily cried, hoping somebody would hear her. "HELP!"
-
Nahla screamed as the current tried to drag them under over and over,water filled her tiny lungs making her cough nonstop.
-
Suddenly a large tail got in the way of the two and Lily grabbed onto it and Nahla as it pulled them out. She clung to the ground, coughing.
"Thank you-" she cut herself off when she found herself looking into the face of Grandpa Longneck.
-
Nahla could not stop coughing and shivering,she took deep breaths before coughing up more water.
-
"That's it, get it all up," said Lily, getting ready to push Nahla's chest if she had any more water in there. She turned back to Grandpa. He sparked a hint of fear in her but it was nowhere near as much as Hades did. "Thank you," she said.
"You're welcome," he said. "You two are just lucky I was nearby. Isn't that Nani's hatchling?"
At this Lily fell quiet, she knew he was a friend of Nahla's mother, and she had pretty much took Nahla from them. She was afraid of his reaction once he found that out.
-
Nahla coughed up the last bit of water,she shook her head whining remembering the injury her father gave her. She leaned into Lily "I love Lily" she told Grandpa happily.
-
Grandpa chuckled. "I can see that," he said happily to the hatchling. He turned to Lily. "I thought the family were leaving?"
Lily looked away. "I tried to help her... Hades was being horrible... he chucked her into the river..." she said quietly, not noticing Grandpa's shocked reaction.
-
Hades stepped forward from the shadows "Oh you found my daughter thank you" he smirked and went to go grab her.
-
"Hold on a moment, Hades," said Grandpa, getting in between him and Nahla. "Why is this other young one saying that you just threw Nahla into the river?"
-
Hades shrugged "So what if I did,does not concern you. What I do to my daughter is none of your business"
-
Grandpa seemed horrified when Hades admitted it.
"Please don't let him take her away, sir," Lily begged. "It's not her fault..."
At that moment, Taro arrived at the scene, confused about what was happening.
-
Hades raised his tail and whipped Nahla sending her rolling across the ground screaming her head off. "Oh I better shut you up once and for all" he raised his foot over her tiny body.
(NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SAVE HER SOMEBODY)
-
Taro pushed Hades while Lily dragged Nahla out of the way of his foot.
"Don't you dare," Taro warned. Grandpa joined him, not wanting to see the little one get hurt or worse.
-
Hades snarled "Give the dud back".
Nahla was in great pain cuts on her body "LILY!" she screamed.
(Yes Hades called Nahla-his own daughter a dud)
-
"Dud?" Taro exclaimed. "Who in the world would their child a dud?"
Lily was tending to Nahla's wounds. "I'm not letting you take her away if that's the way your going to treat her," she said calmly.
-
Hades snarled at Lily "I would watch my mouth if I were you long lady" he shoved Taro "Tell your little brat face to give me back the thing".
(Calling her a thing now...and calling Lily brat face...slap him please)
-
Taro lost control to his anger and slapped Hades in the face.
"Don't you dare call my daughter a brat," he snarled. "And I don't see a thing anywhere. All I can see is a cute little longneck who I believe is your daughter."
-
Hades began to turn "That ain't cute it the ugliest thing I ever seen,if your daughter wants that hideous creature so bad,she can keep it" he stormed off not seeming to care what Nani was gonna think of this.
-
Taro sighed with relief, while Lily clung onto Nahla like it was the end of the world.
"I wonder what Nani is going to think about this?" Grandpa wondered. To him, Nani didn't seem like the type who would let such a thing happen to her children, especially after the duel with Mr Threehorn.
-
Taro sighed with relief, while Lily clung onto Nahla like it was the end of the world.
"I wonder what Nani is going to think about this?" Grandpa wondered. To him, Nani didn't seem like the type who would let such a thing happen to her children, especially after the duel with Mr Threehorn.
-
At that Nani's screams filled the air,Hades had done the unthinkable.
Hades stepped back from the motionless Nani laughing laying next to her were the other 2 children.
-
Grandpa and Taro had heard the screams and gasped in shock.
"Stay here you two!" Grandpa instructed, before they ran to the scene, to be greeted by a horrible sight.
Lil clung onto Nahla harder, sobbing. She knew what had just happened.
-
Hades turned to glare at the males,his eyes glowing. He was splattered in blood.
The dead bodies of Nani,Ben and even little young Uzuri all laid in pools of blood,all with broken necks.
Nahla tilted her head at the sobbing Lily and licked her on the face wagging her tail trying to cheer her up.
-
"What have you done?" Grandpa whispered in disbelief, looking in horror at the bodies on the ground.
-
"Got bored of them" Hades said carelessly "Was a waste of time kidnapping Nani all I got from her were duds sad really" he began to walk away "As they say back in The Shadowlands-Beso Bo"
-
"What a monster," said Taro, as Grandpa walked up to the dead bodies.
"I'm so sorry," he said, letting silent tears fall.
-
A loud moan could be heard from the pink female-she was alive after all.
-
"Oh goodness," said Taro, rushing to the female. "She's alive!" he shouted at Grandpa.
-
Nani opened her eyes with a moan,she was in great pain. She looked around before needing to drop her head back down with a scream. But what she did see for that short time broke her heart-2 of her children were dead and the other was missing.
-
Taro started cleaning Nani's new wounds. He felt like he liked this female... a lot.
"I'm sorry," he said. "What happened, exactly?"
-
Nani sobbed "Hades...he came back very angry....Uzuri asked him what was wrong...it was too fast I could not stop it,I did not even get to hold her or say goodbye as she dropped dead in front of me" she looked at her young daughter,her her bones in pieces "...Ben tried to stop he,only to be......" she nodded towards her son the front of him completely crushed "Then he turned me...and thats all I remember till now".
-
"I'm so sorry," said Taro. "Your youngest... Nahla I think her name is... she's with my adopted daughter, Lily. She's safe."
-
Nani closed her eyes "Please keep her safe for me she such a lovely little girl....she needs a family who will take care of her and love her for the delight she is. She could of had a nice loving father but no..that Hades murdered my parents and kidnapped me when I was only 5 years old. He used me! HE USED ME!" she screamed.
-
Grandpa and Taro were even more horrified by what they had just heard.
"I'm so sorry to hear that," he said again. "I'll do my best to help look after her. Lily seems very protective of her... and I think I know why..."
-
Nani raised en eyebrow "Why so?" she asked the blue eyes her Nahla had sparkled with the same curious look that her daughter also had.
-
"Well..." Taro seemed hesitant to carry on, but Nani's curious look pushed him on. "A few cold times ago, Lily had a younger sister. But she was abused and eventually slaughtered by her grandfather, as was the rest of her family. I think Lily thought that it was starting to become a repeat of what happened and got protective because she didn't want it happening to her again."
-
Nani looked down "Sorry to hear that.." she looked around and seeing her own children tears falling "I could of had such a happy family with a real loving mate...but no I will never have that now" she closed her eyes "Can you bring Nahla to me? I need to hold her"
-
Taro smiled at her. "Of course I can," he said, getting up and leaving to find the two young girls.
-
Nahla had fallen asleep cuddled up with Lily,she tail wagging with happiness she she buried her head into Lily yawning.
-
Taro slowly walked to the two.
"Nahla's mother wants to see her," he said.
"You mean she isn't d-" Lily stopped just remembering that there was a hatchling right next to her.
"No, she isn't, but the other children are," Taro explained. Lily just hung her head sadly. Taro lowered his head to let the two little ones on.
-
Nahla opened one eye and saw Taro. She quickly opened the other eyes and stood up bouncing over to Taro licking him on the face before jumping on screaming "RIDE!"
-
Lily jumped on after Nahla and Taro walked off, however neither she nor Taro seemed very happy at all. She cringed slightly when Taro finally reached Nani and Grandpa.
-
Nani smiled at her daughter "Nahla" she called softly.
Nahla smiled "MUMMY!" but she then looked around in panic for Hades whimpering.
-
Taro walked up beside Nani, watching the two. Lily cowered behind him.
-
Nani smiled tickling her daughter before she noticed something wrong 'Where...is it?"
The stone Nahla wore around her neck was gone,she lost in when she was thrown into the river.
-
"Oh no..." Lily sighed. "Now how are we gonna find it?"
Taro thought for a moment, before he pulled a face that said he had an idea.
-
"I gave that to Nahla,and my mother gave it to me and her mother gave it to her" Nani seemed very upset over this stone "I know your thinking I'm getting worked up over a stupid stone but..that was a family heirloom"
-
"I understand, " said Taro. He turned to Lily. "We're going back to that river." He picked her up and started walking off.
"But what are we gonna do?" Lily asked.
"We're going to find that stone," he answered with determined look on his face.
-
Nani watching Taro leave a small smile on her face,but that quickly left when she once again saw her children "We got to lay the young ones to rest somewhere hidden,dead bodies around the place is not very pleasant.." tears fell from her eyes "I failed them..I failed as a mother...."
-
"Don't say that," said Grandpa. "It's not your fault that this happened."
Taro and Lily soon reached the river.
"Do you trust me?" he asked. Lily nodded and he dunked his head under the water, looking for the stone.
(Poor Grandpa I forgot about him. :lol)
-
(We also forgotten Grandma and Littlefoot...whoops)
Littlefoot stood up only to be shoved to the ground by Hades.
The black longneck stood on the young ones tail and glared at Grandma "Wanna try and stop me?" he laughed pressing down harder.
Littlefoot screamed and tried to free his tail.
Nani put Nahla before asking "Is that Taro..gonna stay here?"
(Hehe Nani in loooove,oh btw since I forgot to say Nahla's stone is a diamond)
-
Grandma glared at Hades.
"Yes," she snarled at him, ramming into him with great force, putting as much pressure on the leg that had trapped Littlefoot as possible. She may have been old but she still had a lot of strength left, especially when it came to protecting family members. "I knew you were never one to be trusted, Hades!"
"I'm not sure," Grandpa answered. "He might." He knew exactly what was going on, he could see it in her eyess.
-
Nnai smiled at that and tried to stand forgetting she was injured she cried out.
Hades stumbled back and said in mock hurt "Oh come on,my mate and children jus died and you treat me like this?" he had no idea Nani was still alive.
Littlefoot pulled back his tail tears in his eyes,there was no serious damage but he was in pain-which is to be expected.
-
"Yes," Grandma said again as Lily walked up from behind. She had gone to warn the other longnecks while Taro searched for the stone.
(Lily you sneaky little-)
-
Hades shoved Grandma "Talk to me like that and I'll kill your grandson like the way I killed Ben,Uzuri and Nani..." he cut of realizing what he just admitted.
(Brb shower)
-
Grandma's eyes widened and she gritted her teeth, she was shocked and angry at Hades.
"You monster," she snarled at him.
Lily went up to Littlefoot.
"Come on!" she cried. "We have to warn the others!"
-
Hades just laughed "Oh that Nani was a useless piece of trash,she never meant anything to me..she was just a possession something I just like to call mine,she was pretty but thats all she had going for her.".
Littlefoot nodded and stood up looking at his bruised tail "Hades didn't say anything about Nawa,she she ok?" he whispered to Lily about Nahla but getting her name wrong.
-
Grandma was furious but backed off slightly, she didn't want a fight if she could help it.
"You mean Nahla?" Lily questioned. "Yeah, she's fine, and her mother's alive too, but Hades doesn't know that."
-
Hades smirked "Bye bye" he sprinted off but he did plan to come back one day.
Littlefoot looked down "So....the others are dead?" he asked saddened.
Nani closed her eyes a mix of feelings going through her head,she was in grief ,happover Uzuri and Ben,happiness that Nahla was safe and...she had to admit...in love with that Taro guy.
Nahla looked around and her young voice rang through the air "LILY!" she shouted calling her what she thinks of as her best friend.
-
Grandma sighed in relief as Hades left, but she had to stay alert in case he returned.
Taro had eventually found the stone after a lot of searching.
"Unfortunately so," Lily sadly admitted to Littlefoot. She saw Hades running away and no longer saw the need to warn the other grown ups. "Do you want to go back to your grandma? I should get back to Taro."
-
Tears started in Littlefoot's eyes hearing that the kids were dead "Oh...." he looked over to Grandma "Nani and Nawa....I mean Nahla are alive".
"LILY!" Nahla kept calling.
Nani seemed to be daydreaming.
-
Lily nodded as they reached Taro, and she was surprised to see Nahla's stone in his mouth.
"Someone's been calling for you," he said after hearing Nahla's shouts, and then he saw Littlefoot. "What happened to your tail?" he asked.
-
"Hades tried to kill me by crushing crushing me,but he only got my tail" he said looking at it himself
Nahla grinned wandering away to find Lily "LILY!" she sprinted forward to her friend.
-
"Ouch," said Taro. "I'll have a look at that later if you want."
"Nahla!" Lily cried as she ran up to the hatchling.
-
"It fine" Littlefoot lied and you could tell on his face it hurt.
Nahla hugged Lily "LILY LILY LILY" she licked her face wagging her tail happily.
-
"I'll check it anyway," said Taro, noticing Littlefoot's face. Lily licked Nahla's face and picked her up.
Taro took the children to where Nani and Grandpa were. Grandpa had moved the bodies of Ben and Uzuri out of sight for now. He was surprised to see Littlefoot there.
-
Nahla hugged Lily "I love you Lily"
Nani smiled at Taro tears stained on her face.
Littlefoot walked over to Grandpa "Hi Grandpa" he said trying to hide is injury.
-
Lily giggled. "I love you too, Nahla," she said.
Taro lay down next to Nani, looking at her with sympathy.
"Are you going to stay here?" he asked eventually. He felt extremely awkward next to her, and it showed. Lily nearly felt like bursting into a fit of giggles when she saw his face.
Grandpa immediately noticed Littlefoot's tail. "What the... Littlefoot, what happened?" he asked, worried.
-
Nahla giggled "Play!".
Nani sighed "Yes....I am...for one...how can you split up that?" she nodded towards Lily and Nahla.
Littlefoot sighed "Hades attacked me"
-
"Okay!" Lily yelled, getting a rock and kicking it to Nahla.
Taro laughed. "Yeah, quite a pair, aren't they?" he asked, chuckling.
"That rotten..." Grandpa couldn't finish his sentence with the little ones around. He started looking at Littlefoot's tail instead. "Where's your grandmother? " he asked softly.
-
"At the resting place I think" he said like nothing was wrong and trying to hide his pain.
Nahla used her tail and flicked the stone back to Lily giggling.
Nani glanced at Taro and smiled "What bout you,you stickin around?"
-
"Yeah, it's like you said, " Taro agreed. "I would never hear the end of it if I separated those two." He noticed Littlefoot with his grandpa and went up to them. "Let's have a look, then," he said, inspecting his tail. His face turned grim. "I think you have a few broken bones in that tail," he concluded.
-
Littlefoot pulled away "I'm fine" he said trying to hide the fact he was in lots of pain
Nani worn out drifted off to sleep,her attack drained her off her energy/
-
"No you're not," said Taro. He got some treestars and wrapped them around Littlefoot's tail. "You need to keep it still for now and let the bones heal."
-
Littlefoot sighed in defeat and plopped down watching Lily and Nahla "Are those 2 related or something?" he asked suddenly.
-
"I... don't think so,' said Taro, watching the two. "They do seem remarkably attatched to each other, though."
Grandpa nodded in agreement and then sighed with relief when his mate came into view, walking towards them
-
Nani opened one eye to see who was coming but closed it again,she looked like a complete mess,blood was stained of her and she was covered in cuts. Some large some small.
-
Grandma went and greeted her famly before seeing the younger female.
"Oh my goodness, Nani!" she cried, rushing up her.
-
Nani opened her eyes again "Mama Longneck...they are dead....my children...are dead" fresh tears started in her eyes.
-
"I know," Grandma whispered. "I ran into Hades a few moments ago. I'm so sorry, Nani."
She started to clean the stained blood off the injured longneck and soon enough Taro joined her, making sure that Nani was clean and that all of her wounds were tended to.
-
Nahla loped away from Lily and over to Taro she looked up at him a goofy grin on her face "I love Taro!" she said happily bouncing around the place.
-
Taro grinned at the little one and tickled her for a bit. He didn't have any kids of his own but he did know how to keep most of them happy.
-
Nahla laughed and loped back over to Lily squealing with delight.
Nani stood up on shaky legs and nuzzled Taro "Take that as a little thank you for everything you and Lily have done to protect Nahla"
-
"Oh, er... it's nothing, really," said Taro, blushing. Lily noticed and giggled again.
-
Nani giggled before gasping in pain leaning down "Darn you Hades" she muttered looking back at her wounds.
-
"Yeah, need to lay down and rest," said Taro. He turned to the longneck family. "You can go back if you want," he said. "I think I've got this." He blushed again.
-
Nani smiled at Taro gently lowering herself to the ground.
Littlefoot by then had once again dozed off,he was soo tired lately.
-
"Well, I suppose we should get back to the resting place," said Grandma after seeing her grandson. She picked Littlefoot up and put him on Grandpa's back before the two walked off back towards their resting place.
-
Nahla yawned and turned in a few times before collapsing into a ball fast asleep.
-
Lily lay next to her and closed her eyes, but she still listened to every word being said.
"So... do you want something to eat?" Taro asked, looking around. Almost immediately he felt quite stupid.
-
Nani smiled "Yes I would" she tried to stand up "I'll go get us something'
-
"No, no, I'll get it," said Taro. "You lay down and get some rest." He went to find the best tasting treesweets he knew.
-
Nani shook her head smiling laying down again "Now thats the kind of guy I would want as a husband" she muttered.
-
Lily smiled and went up next to Nani's head. "You like him, huh?" she asked.
-
Nani blushed "Um...umm...err..........yes I do very much so" she smiled at Lily.
-
Lily nodded and watched Taro as he came into view, carrying a load of treestars and treesweets. "He's really nice," she said. "It's just a shame that nobody really likes him."
-
Nani not noticing Taro frowned "Why not? Taro is amazing,he is strong,he is caring,he is brave,he is handsome and those scars...make him so mysterious ..he just amazing wish I could of been with him instead of Hades" she sighed dreamily
-
"Really?" Lily questioned. "Most females seem to dislike him because of the scars. They usually deem him untrustworthy... actually, most of them just think he's a freak. It's not like he can help it though."
-
"They are insane them he is amazing...I admit I have a crush on him...a major major crush" Nani sighed and glanced over to the sleeping Nahla "Can you babysit for a while?" she asked Lily gently.
-
"Sure," said Lily.
"Hello girls," said Taro when he reached, putting down all the food. He turned to Nani. "I didn't know what you liked so I got a bit of everything," he said.
-
Nani giggled "I can see that" she said rubbing her head along the male smiling.
Nahla suddenly woke up from a sleep scare screaming and sobbing.
-
Taro blushed again, but was surprised when Nahla started screaming.
"I've got it," said Lily. She went up to Nahla and started singing her lullaby again, rubbing her head against the little one gently.
-
Nani smiled at Lily "You got an amazing child there" she commented leaning into Taro.
Nahla calmed by Lily fell back asleep,she sucked on her own tail tip as she did so.
-
"Yeah," Taro agreed. "I couldn't wish for anything better." He paused for a moment. "Nani... can I... ask you something?"
-
"Of course Taro,you can ask me anything" Nani answered smiling softly.
-
Taro seemed hesitant and blushed even more. "Do you... do you like me?" he asked. He turned away with embarrassment, wishing he hadn't asked now.
-
Nani lowered her head "No I don't like you...I love you" she admitted
-
Now Taro felt even more flustered. He had to admit his feelings now that she had admitted hers.
"I... I love you too," he said quietly.
-
Nani's smile was wider then a canyon she leaned over and kissed Taro on the cheek '"I was hoping you would say that".
-
Taro chuckled nervously, and then nuzzled Nani gently. This was completely new to him.
-
Nani yawned and looking up seeing it dark was coming "I better go find myself and Nala a resting place" nuzzled Taro and stood up.
-
"Well, you're welcome to come and stay with me and Lily tonight," said Taro, before realising what he just said and looking completely embarrassed. "I mean, only if you want to, of course."
-
"I'll love too..though don't think we will get a choice anyway" she nodded to the cuddling Nahla and Lily smiling "Besides..where else could I be besides with the one I love?"
-
Taro blushed again. "I suppose so," he chuckled, feeling awkward again.
Lily giggled at him again. She had to admit, Taro was very cute when he was awkward.
-
Nani giggled "Whats with you and blushing every 5 seconds? You'll be looking like me soon" she teased shoving him playfully like a child would.
-
"Oh, well... it's just, er... I've never had a female like me before... so it's kinda new to me," he admitted, looking down. "I never really had much luck with anyone before."
-
"I never had a male like me before...." she smiled "Hades never like me I was just an item in his collection to him makes me feel so worthless" she sighed looking down.
-
"I would never do that, " said Taro. "Everything I have is very precious to me. Probably because I don't have that much. I mean, I have Lily and my will for adventure, but besides those dear things... no parents, no family, hardly anyone liking me..." he trailed off.
-
Nahla smiled weakly "I have nothing left now...it's all gone...all of it my family got wiped out by Hades...my children are dead...expect for Nahla...my beautiful sweet Nahla..if it was not for her and some special guy I know.." she smiled at Taro at that last bit "I would kill myself right this instant" she starting sobbing hevaily
-
Taro nuzzled her. "Listen," he said. "I'm going to promise you right now that I will do my best to make you happy again."
-
Nani wiped her tears "I know you will Taro" she stood up "If you don't mind I need to get Nahla her dinner,give her a bath and start settling her down for the night"
-
"Do you want me to any of those things?" Taro asked. "I'll be more than happy to."
-
Nani chuckled "It's fine, I'm her mother it's my job I'm the only parent she has. Thanks for the offer though"
-
"Okay," Taro chuckled. "I should probably get Lily and... well, she's old enough to get herself ready now," he sighed. "I suppose I could get her something to eat though. "
-
Nani glanced at the food Taro got before "May I?' she asked nodding to pink treesweets-Nahla's favorite
-
"Oh, sure, go ahead," said Taro. He got them and passed them to Nani.
-
Nani smiled "Thanks" her blue eyes sparkled "Your a great guy" she leaned in to muzzle him only to be hit with a wad of mud.
Nahla giggled and threw a wad at Taro squealing.
-
"Hey!" Taro laughed. He threw a wad towards Nahla but it missed and hit Lily instead. Soon enough a whole mud fight broke out.
-
Nahla squealed and jumped in the mud getting it all over everyone and everything she used her tail and swiped some at Lily.
Nani laughed and chuck and used her tail to completely splash Taro with mud.
-
Taro laughed and splahed everyone with more mud. He hadn't had so much fun in a long time.
-
Nahla being very small sank into the mud so only her little head poked up she had a huge smile on her face though.
-
Taro chuckled at the little one. "Do you want to get out or are you happy there?" he asked.
-
Nahla squealed and splashed around.
Nani chuckled and walked foward only to gasp and collapse heavily in the mud. Having strained herself heavily when she was already weak and tired. She laid there panting for breath her world spinning.
-
Taro gasped. "Nani!" he cried, rushing up to her. He looked back to Lily. "Look after Nahla," he said before looking back at Nani.
-
Nahla cried she wanted to get out now.
"Taro I'm fine" Nani wheezed "Just tired" she added with a cough.
-
"Just... rest for a bit, okay?" Taro asked. "I'll handle the kids for now." He went and got Nahla out of the mud.
-
Nahla stopped crying right away and hugged Taro "My mummy love Taro and Taro love my mummy and I love Taro and mummy and Lily!" Nahla blabbed on "Taro should marry mummy!"
Nani blushed "Sorry bout her Taro" she whispered but loud enough to be heard.
-
Taro nuzzled Nahla but also blushed. "It's okay," he answered, giving Nani a grin.
Lily was still laughing her tail off at what Nahla had said.
-
Nahla rubbed against Taro "Daddy" she muttered falling asleep
-
Lily also snuggled up next to him, and he felt so overwhelmed that he let a few tears of happiness fall.
"Are you crying?" Lily asked.
"No. Not at all," he answered, smiling at her.
-
Nani raised her head and chuckled "Well well well,aren't we Father Of The Year?"
-
Taro chuckled again. "Well, that's a sudden change," he admitted.
-
Nani looked down "Taro...do you really love me? Or did you just say that?"
-
"Of course I didn't, " he answered. "I really do love you."
-
"Really?" Nani's eyes widen "Why did you choose me? I mean I'm glad you did cause I fell in love with you soon as I met you...." she cut off blushing.
-
"Well, because you're probably one of those few who actually gave me a chance," he explained. "Now, I'm not one to judge by looks, but when I first set my eyes on you, I immediately fancied you." He chuckled and nuzzled the female.
-
Nani kissed Taro on the cheek "Even when I was with....him?" she looked up it was beginning to get really dark now.
-
"Yep, but he scared me out of of going anywhere near you," he said, before realising it wasn't the best thing to talk about. He fell silent again.
-
Nani looked to the ground "Taro one more thing.....can you...accept Nahla as your daughter? She deserves a father but her father does not deserve a daughter,your the only male I know who will fit that role but I understand if you reject" she flicked her tail slowly.
-
"Of course I'll accept," said Taro, giving her a loving lick on her cheek. "I've always wanted to be a father..."
"Hey!" Lily yelled.
"Whoops. Let me rephrase that," said Taro. "I've always wanted to have a proper family."
-
Nani smiled and picked up Nahla who yawned "Well my family,I think it is time to settle down for the night.
Nahla grinned breaking away from Nani and stumbling over to Lily "Sister!" she said leaning into her...and falling asleep standing up while doing it.
-
Lily giggled and picked Nahla up before walking over the adults and putting Nahla down between them before laying down next to her.
Taro yawned. "Boy, I didn't realise how tired I was," he said, his eyes drooping.
-
Nani reached over head and nuzzled Lily and Nahla "Goodnight girls,sleep well." she rubbed her head against Taro's "Goodnight Taro" she mumbled out before drifting off into a deep sleep.
-
"Goodnight," he whispered before drifting off to sleep himself.
-
It was early the next morning when Littlefoot awoke a scream. He sobbed from his sleep scare,he took a deep breath to try and act like nothing happened.
-
The scream had woken up his grandparents.
"What happened, little one?" asked his concerned Grandma, nuzzling him gently.
-
(Went horse riding..fell off into the river *shiver*)
Littlefoot hang his head "It was just a sleep scare"
-
(D'aww *hugs* I had to walk to school this morning, then I had to do some fitness thing in Performing Arts. :x )
Grandma carried on nuzzling him. "Well, it's over now," she said.
-
Littlefoot's eyes drifted downwards "It was about Hades..he..killed me..very slowly I could feel it as he ripped me apart..it felt so real" he sobbed.
-
"Don't worry, Littlefoot," said Grandpa. "Hades has left, and he's not going to get nowhere near you."
"Hmm... I wonder how Nani's doing?" Grandma wondered.
-
Littlefoot looked up "Isn't she with that Taro guy?".
Nani was still fast asleep,she laid her neck across Taro.
Nahla was also still asleep,she was curled up on Lily's face,her tail brushing against the other females nose as she waved and back and forth.
-
"Ah, yes," Grandma chuckled. "I can only wonder what happened last night between those two. I could see that look in their eyes."
Meanwhile Taro had woken up early again as usual, but of course he wasn't going to get up for the time being. He smiled when he saw Nahla, glad that last night wasn't just a sleep story.
-
A confused look spread across Littlefoot's face "Huh?" he asked being too young to understand.
Nani yawned and awoke raising her head,she tried to stand up to get some breakfast ready. Too busy thinking of her sleep story she just woke from to notice Taro was awake.
-
Grandma and Grandpa just looked at each other and chuckled.
"Nevermind," said Grandpa. "Shall we go and get some breakfast?"
"Good morning," said Taro, noticing her getting up.
-
Nani was snapped from her thoughts "Morning Taro,did you sleep well?" she asked nuzzling him gently.
Littlefoot nodded "Yeah! I'm starving!"
-
"Yep," Taro answered. "How are you feeling this morning?"
Grandma picked up Littlefoot and the two walked on, finding a good place to eat.
-
Nani did not answer instead just looked down tears starting to fall from her eyes.
Littlefoot thought for a moment then asked "Grandma,Gradmpa whats The Shadowlands anyway? Cera's Dad said they were Shadowlanders so they are evil..but they don't seem evil to me...expect Hades that is..he a big bully"
-
Taro was immediately concerned. "Hey, what's wrong?" He knew instantly that it was a stupid question. "Sorry..."
"Well... it's a place where you really don't want to go, Littlefoot," his grandpa explained. "There's hardly anything there... food... water, and I suppose it must drive some of the dinosaurs insane."
"But Nani isn't originally from there," Grandma carried on. "She used to be part of our old herd, and used to play with... your mother. She probably raised her children the same way she remembered being raised by her actual parents."
-
Nani sobbed wildly "I had a sleep story of Ben and Uzuri last night" was all she said.
Littlefoot was still confused "Then why do they live there if theres nothing here?"
-
"Hmm... I'm not entirely sure about that one," said Grandma. "But I don't think it's easy to escape the Shadowlands. If you try and leave, you'll probably end up getting..." she cut herself off and walked on.
Taro nuzzled her gently. "Oh, I'm so sorry Nani..." He also looked like he was about to cry; he hated seeing anybody so upset.
-
Nani buried her head into him "Can..you come with me later when I lay them to rest? I....can't do it on my own"
Littlefoot frowned and looked around seeing Nani and Taro "Hey...whats wrong with miss Nani?" Littlefoot asked.
-
"Of course," said Taro, smiling gently at her.
"Oh, she's been through terrible things, little one," Grandma sighed.
-
Littlefoot pulled his curious face "What kind of things?".
Nahla awoke a yawn and squealed loudly wanting everyone to just focus on her.
-
"Things to do with... Hades," Grandpa sighed. "He killed two of their children and nearly killed Nani too..." He stared at the ground sadly.
Nahla's squealing had woken up Lily. "Good morning," she said, nuzzling the hatchling.
-
Littlefoot looked completely horrified,tears started in his eyes.
Nahla hugged Lily "LILY!" she licked her face.
-
"I can't imagine what she's gone through," said Grandma while Grandpa nuzzled his grandson.
Lily giggled before seeing how upset Nani looked. She was about to ask what was wrong but Taro just mouthed 'later'.
-
Littlefoot sobbed "Uzuri was my friend" he wailed.
Nahla looked over at the adults and waddled over "Daddy?" she asked poking him "Mummy?" she tilted her head to the side and stumbled off,returning a few moments later with two cherries,she offered them to her parents with a squeak.
(Adorable Nahla is adorable)
-
"I know Littlefoot," said Grandpa. "I'm sorry..."
Taro chuckled and nuzzled Nahla. "Aw, you're the cutest little thing, aren't you?"
"Hey!" Lily exclaimed. Taro chuckled again.
"It's the harsh truth, Lily. Live with it," he answered, grinning at her.
-
Nani smiled at Nahla before turning to Lily "Lily,want to go take Nahla out and play? I got something important to do" she said standing out.
-
"Sure!" said Lily, getting up and walking over to Nahla. "Hmm... I wonder if that Littlefoot kid wants to join us..."
-
"WITTLEWOOT!" Nahla shouted loud enough for him and his grandparents to hear "WITTLEWOOT WITTLEWOOT"
Nani whispered to Taro "I think it's time to....you know" she stared ahead to where she could see her childrens bodies.
-
"Oh, sounds like somebody wants you, Littlefoot," Grandma chuckled.
Taro nodded, now in a very serious mood.
-
"My name is not Wittlewoot" he turned away pretending to not know.
Nahla turned to Lily "Wittlewoot?" she asked "You get Wittlewoot?"
Nani walked forward with a clear limped,she reached down and picked up Uzuri's stone cold body.She had to lean against a tree to stop herseld collapsing from grief.
-
Lily chuckled. "She's still learning," she said.
"I can see that," said Grandma, also chuckling at the hatchling.
Taro looked over to Ben's body and sighed. The last time he had spoken to the child he was having a go at him.
-
Littlefoot slid down and walked over to the hacthling "It's L-l-Littlefoot"
Nahla stared at for a few seconds "WITTLEWOOT" she screamed.
Littlefoot shook his head "Littlefoot" he said more sternly.
Nahla gave a cheeky grin "GRUMPY!".
Nani began to walk forward some more "Where can I put them?" she asked softly.
-
Lily laughed. "Well, she's still very young, I suppose I can let her off for now," she said.
Taro thought for a moment, looking around. "Well, we need to put them where nobody will easily find them," he said to himself. He soon caught sight of a cave with some flowers growing around it. It was about a third of the way up the Great Wall. It was a bit of a climb but Taro was sure they could manage it. "How about there?" he suggested.
-
Littlefoot looked at Nahla curious "How old is she anyway?"
Nani just nodded silently tears pouring from her eyes.
-
"Hmm... I'm not too sure, actually," said Lily. "She's not very old at all though... still just a hatchling."
Taro nodded back and silently made the way to where they would have to climb. It looked harder than it did from a distance. "Do you think you'll be able to climb this?" he asked, not too sure with the state Nani was in.
-
Nani sighed "I"ll try' she slowly began the climb but it was clear this was casuing her a lot of pain.
Nahla turned to Lily "ME GROWN UP!" she shouted.
-
Lily giggled. "Sure," she said, before starting to tickle Nahla.
"We can just find another place easier to get to, if you want," Taro said, noticing that Nani was in a lot of pain. "This is harder than I originally thought..."
-
Nani let herself slip back down landing on her feet "Taro...I...feel like this is my fault" she admitted.
Nahla laughed and climbed onto Lily "Ride?"
-
Taro went next to her. "Why," he asked, confused.
"Okay then!" said Lily walking around. "Do you want to play with us, Littlefoot?"
"Littlefoot still needs to have his breakfast yet," said Grandma.
"Ah, yes," said Lily. "I haven't eaten either, actually. What about you, Nahla?"
-
Nahla grinned "FOOD FOOD FOOD!".
Nani looked to the ground "I just stood there like an idiot!" she screamed.
-
Lily laughed, then turned to the grandparents. "Do you mind if we...?"
"Of course not!" said Grandma. "We were just about to eat here, anyway." She grabbed some treestars and let them fall to the young ones.
Taro wasn't entirely sure what to say to Nani. He wasn't there to see exactly what happened, but he was sure that it probably wasn't the way she was saying.
-
Nahla choose a teestar and began batting it giggling she began to use it like a toy..
Littefoot just stared,he remembered doing that..so many years ago.
Nai still sobbed cried out "I could of stopped it but I just stood there!"
-
Lily also stared at her, it reminded her of her younger sister...
Taro nuzzled Nani. "Now, there's no point in saying if only," he told her. "If we focus on what could have been we'll never move on. Of course we can mourn, but we cannot waste away over those two words... I did it once, and it nearly destroyed me."
-
Nahla rolled back over and picking up her treestar walking off her head held high. She pranced proudly,she made a series of proud squeaks.
Nani lowered her head "I know..but..I just..miss them so much"
-
Lily smiled weakly for a few moments before suddenly bursting into tears.
"I know you do..." said Taro. "But just... don't make the same mistake I did when I lost..." He cut himself off, painful memories coming back to him.
-
Nani looked up "Who?" she asked curious.
Nahla stopped walking and dropped her tree-star she walked over to Lily and began to lick her face for a few seconds. Then she walked over and used her tiny foot to splash some mud on Lily.
-
"Everyone," Taro answered. "My whole family. They all died trying to save me... my parents, my older sister... my grandparents... and my aunt... all of them. I was quite young when it happened, perhaps Littlefoot's age. They found a way for me to get out but they couldn't follow..."
-
"I remember a family like that,my best friend Jenna had a little brother..but can't recall his name. They were amazing and kind" she smiled remembering
-
Taro looked down to the ground sadly, sighing before deciding to tell his story. "There was a smoking mountain, and it was erupting. The booming had caused many rock slides to happen and it trapped most of the dinosaurs in our home. There was also a sharptooth attack... my aunt and grandparents died trying to fight them off while my parents took me and my sister to a small place they couldn't get into and told us to go. Eventually we came to a small crack that only I could fit through and my sister pushed me through and I fell down the hill that came after it. I never even got to say goodbye to her... they all suffocated in the end."
Lily was also in a depressed mood. She was in her own world again and wasn't responding to anything that was happening around her.
-
Nani was shocked "I'm...so sorry to hear that. From what I hear Jenna died protecting her son Littlefoot. I know Mama and Papa Longnecks are her parents but no idea where the rest of the family is...." she trailed off "But enough depressing talk...we got a job to do"
-
(Very different story for Taro here. :p)
"Yeah, we do..." said Taro, shrugging off the bad memories.
-
(All the swappedness :lol)
Nani began to walk forward again stopping when she caught sight of something.
On a ledge a few feet away,Hades stood staring down at her.
-
"What is it?" Taro asked. He walked next to her and also saw the black longneck. "Oh no..."
-
Hades jumped down and shoved Nani "What are you doing with him?!!" he shouted striking her across the face.
-
Taro jumped in front of Nani protectively. "Leave her alone," he snarled.
-
Hades just laughed "What you doing hanging around my wife? Who do you think you are?"
-
"I was just trying to help her... after YOU killed her children!" Taro snarled.
-
Hades snarled "Shut up" he shoved the other male "I saw you acting all loving to her"
-
Taro scoffed. "Well, at least somebody is," he muttered.
-
Hades shoved past Taro and to Nani completely shoving her to the ground "Where is Nahla?" he demanded.
Nani didn't answer him but instead yelled to Taro "TARO! Get Lily,Nahla and Littlefoot to safety and send Mama and Papa Longneck"
That angered Hades and he bought his foot down on the female knocking her out.
(Hades,you don't hit girls man)
-
Taro didn't listen to Nani; he just charged at Hades, filled with rage.
Lily had heard something and went to check it out, and was shocked to see Hades there. She already knew what she had to do, and turned back and went to the others.
"We have to get out of here," she told everyone. "Now!"
-
Nahla tilted her head in confusion.
Littlefoot hearing angry roars shook "It's...like it was in my sleep story..he coming for me".
Hades laughed and head butted Taro "Want a challenge aye?"
-
"I think it's Nahla he wants," Lily corrected, not realising the hatchling was there. "Taro's holding him off for now, so we need to find somewhere safe."
"I'll have to help him," said Grandpa.
"You can't," said Lily. "He wants us all out of here."
"I'm going anyway," said Grandpa, walking off before Lily or anyone else could say another word.
"All I want is for you to leave Nani alone," said Taro calmly. "After what you've done to her..."
-
Hades rolled his eyes "I done nothing to her,I gave her a home,gave her children..."
Nahla had snuck off to see what was going on.
-
"Took two of her children away, nearly killed her..." Taro carried on for him.
Grandma noticed that somebody else wasn't there. "Nahla?" she called. "Nahla!"
"I'll find her," said Lily, running in the direction she thought Nahla might have been headed, although she hoped she was wrong.
-
Hades heard squeaking he looked behind him to see Nahla,with one big whack he bought his tail down on her body knocking her out too he turned to Taro "Now thats out of the way I can finish you off"
-
"Hades!" someone yelled. Grandpa came rushing out of the trees and next to Taro, Lily following him. She gasped in horror when she saw Nahla.
-
Hades laughed "Gee theres more of you,can't fight battles on your own aye?" he said staring at Taro. He saw Lily and smirked and pretended to step on Nahla,he didn't really but it was enough to fool someone/
-
"I didn't ask for him to be here," said Taro. He looked over at Grandpa. "You shouldn't have come," he sighed.
"I did anyway," the old male answered.
Lily just stood there in shock. "No..." she whispered.
-
Hades chuckled "All right then,bring it"
-
"We're not here for a fight, Hades," said Grandpa. "Just leave this valley. Killers are not welcome here."
Lily suddenly shuddered when she heard her last sentence. Taro knew what she was hiding, and he also knew it was a risk bringing her here because of her dark past, but nobody here knew them; they shouldn't find out.
-
Hades turned away "Ok ok I'll leave,your all weaklings anyway. I'l kill you any seconds...wheres the thrill in that?" he jumped onto his ledge and walked along the path out of the valley.
-
"I didn't actually think that was going to work..." Grandpa muttered to himself. "I'll go and get the others."
Taro was already next to Nani, and he just nodded.
"NAHLA!" Lily screamed, running forward.
-
Nani moaned and awoke slowly "Is...he..gone?" she whispered.
Nahla was very still,having taken quite the hit.
-
"Yes, he's gone," said Taro. "For now, at least."
Lily started crying at the sight of Nahla's body, the memories of her younger days rushing back to her, trying to torture her with the past. She brought the little one closer to her, believing her to be dead.
-
Nani raised her head "And Nahla is she ok or he Hades....."
-
Taro felt tears stinging his eyes as he saw Lily. He knew what she was thinking but she was also often mistaken. He hoped that now was one of those moments. "I'm... not sure..." he said hesitantly.
-
Nani hang her head "Please save her,forget about me just save my baby girl please" she begged.
-
Taro nodded and got up, walking over to the hatchling.
"Lily, you have to get off her," he said quietly. Lily reluctantly did as she was told and walked behind his forelegs, still sobbing quietly.
-
A whine came from the hatchling,before she opened her eyes and that whine turned into a full sob which soon turned into screaming.
A little way off Littlefoot tilted his head "Isn't that Nahla?"
-
Grandma looked into the distance. "It does sound like her..." she said, seeming very worried. "Oh, I hope they're okay..." She started to make her way back into the valley, needing to see Nani.
Meanwhile the two longnecks next to Nahla tried to calm the hatchling down.
-
Nahla's screams stopped but she still sobbed she tried to crawl up Lily's leg and to safety.
Nani smiled relieved her daughter was alive,but now a fresh wound ran across her face,but she did not let that damped her mood. Nahla,Taro and Lily were ok. She just hoped Grandma,Grandpa and their young one were ok.
-
Grandma wandered with Littlefoot, hoping to catch sight of someone. Soon enough someone found her.
No words were spoken, but the two old longnecks who had seemingly bonded for life ran up to each other, glad to see the other okay.
"Oh, dear," Grandma whispered, nuzzling him. "I was so worried."
Grandpa chuckled. "Don't worry, nothing happened. He's gone for now."
Taro helped Nahla up and nuzzled her gently.
-
Nahla hugged Lily's neck like she never wanted to let go.
Nani slowly stood on her feet and walked over to Taro nuzzling him "Thank you Taro...your my hero" she licked him on the cheek.
-
Taro blushed slightly, but he was shocked when he managed to get a good look at the female. "Nani... your face..."
"We should go and find Nani and the others and make sure they're okay," Grandma suggested. Her mate nodded in agreement.
"Come on, Littlefoot!" he called.
-
Nani seemed like she did not understand what Taro meant "Pardon?"
Littlefoot slowly followed behind getting lost in the tall grass he was walking through "I hate being little!" he voice called out some the grass somewhere.
-
"Your face..." Taro repeated. "It's got a wound going across it."
Grandpa chuckled and stuck his head into the grass to find Littlefoot. "Where are you?" he called, his mate laughing.
-
Littlefoot walked forward and soon found his Grandparents he began to walk towards them only to trip on his injured tail and fall backwards into the grass again "Umm help please".
Nano shrugged it off "It's fine" she smiled faintly
-
Grandpa chuckled and picked Littlefoot up from the grass.
"Are you sure?" Taro asked, concerned.
-
Littlefoot looked at his still bruised tail "Grandpa? What if Hades comes for me?" he asked scared.
Nani's eyes drifted to the ground but did not answer,she was holding a secret. She was torn between keeping it and telling Taro.
-
"He won't, " Grandpa sighed. "And if he does, we'll protect you."
"Nani?" Taro was getting very concerned about her.
-
Littlefoot sighed too and his eyes drifted too the distance "Hey what happened to Nani this time?"
"This...wound may look awful...but it a small cut compared to what I went through before I came here" Nani whispered
-
"Oh no..." said Grandma quietly, seeing the fresh wound on Nani's face.
"Oh Nani..." Taro sighed. "If you don't want to tell me about it, then fair enough, but..." There was a spark of curiosity in his eyes.
-
Nani sighed and nodded to under her stomach,right under it and out of sight most of the time was a large scar "He did this to me..." she whispered.
-
"Oh my goodness..." Taro said, looking at it for only a few brief moments. "I'm so sorry, Nani."
"Nani!" a female called. The old longnecks were making their way towards them.
-
"Hello Mama and Papa Longneck" Nani greeted them turning her head so they would not see the wound.
-
"Nani... we thought we should come over and make sure you're all okay," said Grandpa.
-
"We're fine" Nani replied not noticing that blood was dripping from the wound into view "Just shaken but no injuries"
-
"Apart from the one on your face," Taro pointed out, licking the blood off Nani's face.
-
"It's nothing really" Nani said like a stubborn child.
-
"You're starting to sound like me," said Taro, looking at the many scars on his body. "I suppose as time went by I didn't care about what happened to me. A lot of these were..." he cut himself off, realising that it wasn't just him and Nani there.
-
Nani licked Taro and nuzzled him "I care what happens to you" she said,she seem to have forgotten that they were not alone and kissed Taro on his face.
-
Grandma and Grandpa giggled at them, the two reminded them of their younger days.
Taro blushed again when he realised they were there, but relaxed a little when they smiled at him.
"I suppose we should leave you some space?" Grandpa suggested.
-
Nani smiled not taking her eyes off Taro "Want to babysit the girls for a while?" she asked finally breaking away.
Nahla snuggled into Lily sighing with happiness before saying "Lily the best"
-
"We can do that," said Grandma, smiling.
Lily giggled before getting up and bringing Nahla a flower.
-
Nahla squealed even though the flower was nearly the size of her she loved it,she began to bat it like it was some kind of toy.
-
Lily smiled with satisfaction, before looking at the grandparents.
"Come on, Nahla," she said. "We're going to stay with these two for a bit." She started walking towards them.
-
Nahla slowly followed walking backwards trying to drag her flower with her.
-
"Here, let me help with that," said Lily picking up the flower and walking to the grandparents.
"Well, are we ready?" Grandma asked, beaming down at the children.
-
Nahla nodded a grin on her face "Wittlefoot!" she cheered finally catching sight of him.
Littlefoot turned away not answering her.
-
"Oh come on, dear," said Grandma. "She's just a hatchling. "
"Now, no more making my tail multicoloured, okay?" Grandpa joked to Nahla, laughing afterwards.
-
Littlefoot growled "I'm not in a good mood" anyone think he was being grumpy but when in truth he was just scared.
Nahla giggled and sat in front of Grandpa "Story?" she asked tilting her head.
-
"Fair enough," said Grandma, nuzzling Littlefoot gently.
"Hmm... okay, then," said Grandpa. "How about the story of the Lone Dinosaur?"
-
Littlefoot sighed pounding with his tail in unknown anger,forget he had broken in it.
Nahla nodded "LONE DINOSAUR!" she screamed and sat by Lily's foot...well ON Lily's foot.
-
"Well, I'm not going to go anywhere," Lily sighed as Nahla sat on her foot. "I wouldn't do that with my tail if I were you!" she called over to Littlefoot, noticing what he was doing.
-
Littlefoot glanced over "Huh?" he asked before a tiny snap was heard and pain filled his face,it was not serious but he broke another tail bone,however compared to the others this one was very minor.
-
"Oh my!" Grandma exclaimed, filling with worry. "Are you okay, little one?"
-
Littlefoot nodded but not saying anything.
-
Grandma immediately started tending to his tail, getting all sorts of things to relieve the pain.
Lily watched her being overly motherly and she lost herself again, staring at the ground.
"Are you okay?" Grandpa asked her. She nodded in reply but a few seconds later she burst into tears.
-
Nahla looked up and stumbled off squeaking. Returning dragging a flower taller and longer then her over to Lily it took a while but she made it over.
-
"Aww..." Lily sighed, licking Nahla on the face. "Thank you..."
-
"Lily sad?" the hatchling asked also looking sad that Lily was sad.
(Tongue twister)
Littlefoot sighed closing his eyes blocking out all sounds,he just seemed to always be in a bad mood lately.
-
"It's.... nothing..." Lily said quietly.
Grandpa looked at her sympathetically and saw that she was watching Grandma, who was still tending to Littlefoot's tail. He didn't know exactly what was wrong but he had a guess. It was probably because of her mother.
-
Littlefoot yelped when Grandma touched a very sore part "I'm fine Grandma" Littlefoot tried to say again.
Nani looked up at Tarro a weak smile staring into his eyes "How does no one else like you?" she asked suddenly "Your the most amazing,caring,gentle,handsome longneck I ever met"
(Nani/Taro love FTW me need to get my skype working...)
-
"There," Grandma said, finishing off.
"I guess most just consider me a freak," Taro answered. "I can't really blame them. When I was younger I went quite insane because of what had happened to my family. Hence... more scars..." he admitted, looking at the ground. "That and I..." He wasn't entirely sure if he should tell his other secret.
(It's still not working for you? Have you tried re-downloading it?)
-
Littlefoot sighed and closed his eyes "I'm gonna take a nap..I'm always tired lately..and I keep feeling sad...." Littlefoot said.
Nani smiled "If you ever want to tell me you can,but we all have our dark secrets..even me" she trailed off,
-
"All right, dear," said Grandma, although it was clear she was worried.
"I suppose so," said Taro. "Well... I can speak to sharpteeth," he admitted.
-
Littlefoot was fast asleep in moments,something was not right about him.
Nani smiled shocked but amazed "And whats wrong with that? I think it makes you special"
-
Grandpa went up to his grandson. "I'm worried about him," he said. "Something's not right..." Grandma nodded sadly in agreement.
Behind them Lily was still sobbing. She hugged Nahla, needing some comfort.
"Well, I suppose some dinosaurs think I want to eat their kids," Taro chuckled. "And I guess some find it weird that I have friends who are... carnivores. More of those than leaf-eaters, actually," he admitted.
-
Nani sighed and licked Taro "Forget them Taro,it clear they are losers. If they gotten to know you they would of had the most amazing dinosaur ever as friend. Any if anyone tries to insult you again...then they get a face full of me" she chuckled.
Nahla squeaked and tried to lick Lily's tears away wagging her tail.
(Nahla is like a big puppy D'awww)
-
Taro smiled weakly. "Thanks," he said, clearly a lot happier now.
"Are you okay, Lily?" Grandma asked, noticing her crying.
Lily nodded in reply. "It's just... my mother..."
-
Nani smiled using her tail to flick mud at Taro and walked away giggling like a child.
-
"Hey! I'll get you for that!" Taro exclaimed, chasing after her.
Grandma nuzzled Lily, but she wasn't entirely sure what to say to her. It seemed that, just like Littlefoot, Lily's mother was lost.
"It's all my fault..." the young girl sobbed.
-
Nani laughed standing on the ledge Hades was on a wihile ago "I'm the leader of you all! You'll bow towards me!" Nani exclaimed revealing her childish playful side.
-
"Yes, your highness," Taro chuckled, bow and kissing Nani's feet. He too, had a fun side, although he rarely showed it.
Before anyone else could say another word to her, Lily just walked off, needing some time alone.
-
Nani laughed and smiling getting off the ledge and burying her head in Taro "If only it was like this all along....if only...Hades...never happened"
Littlefoot began coughing but did not wake up.
Nahla saw Lily leaving and began screaming and crying.
-
Taro nuzzled her. "Well, he's not here now..."
"Oh my," Grandma sighed. She tried to comfort Nahla but she knew it was Lily she wanted.
-
"But what if he returns? He wants to claim me back. Now I'm yours...he is getting jealous I guess...he wont stop till Nahla is dead and I'm back with him...I fear he will kill you too Taro" Nani sighed "I can't bare that thought,I love you".
Nahla stopped crying and licked Grandma's nose.
-
"Trust me, if he comes anywhere near you, I'll be ready," said Taro. "I love you too much now to let you go," he admitted.
Grandma nuzzled Nahla while Grandpa checked on Littlefoot.
"I'm so worried about him," he said qiuetly.
-
Littlefoot awoke with another small cough he did not say anything though.
Nahla squealed and batted Grandma's nose.
Nani rubbed him with her head "I know you will Taro,you'll always me my hero"
-
"Are you all right, Littlefoot?" Grandpa asked, clearly worried about him.
Grandma tickled Nahla in return, chuckling.
Taro smiled, feeling good about himself for once.
-
Littlefoot nodded "Yes Grandpa I'm fine...I think"
Nahla laughed and rolled over. She stood up and growled "Me a sharptooth!" she told Grandma happlily growling and roaring in a bay cute baby way.
Nani broke away remembering what they were meant to be doing "Ok...time to really do this.." she walked over to her childrens bodies again.
-
"Do you want anything?" Grandpa asked his grandson, nuzzling him gently.
Grandma laughed at the hatchling and pretended to be scared, backing off.
"Of course," said Taro, feeling slightly guilty again.
-
Nani looked around and spotted a small cave,hidden by tall grass "What about there?"
Littlefoot looked up "Water....
Nahla still roaring hugged Grandma around the leg "Me got you longneck!" she said like a shaprtooth might.
-
Taro nodded. "Yeah... it looks like a good place," he said quietly.
Grandpa nodded and went off to find some water.
"Oh no!" Grandma cried mockingly, still laughed at Nahla. Suddenly she started to feel weak and she had to lie down. Her breathing started to get heavy and she gritted her teeth like she was in pain.
-
Nahla tilted her head and squeaked loudly trying to get help.
Nani walked into it and placed down her daughter tears pouring down her face.
-
Grandpa nearly dropped the treestar that had water in it when he came back and saw his mate. He quickly place it next to Littlefoot and went up to Grandma.
"Dear, what happened?" he asked with concern.
"It's nothing," Grandma assured him. "I just... didn't get much sleep last night and I feel quite weak."
Taro placed Ben next to Uzuri, before he heard sobbing behind him. He turned around and was shocked at who he saw. "Lily?"
-
Littlefoot took a few sips before dropping his head back down coughing.
Nani turned and also saw Lily "Don't cry dear" she said softly.
-
"Go to him," Grandma groaned. "Something isn't right with him."
Grandpa nodded and went to Littlefoot to see if he was okay.
Lily just hugged Taro around the leg, letting silent tears fall.
-
Littlefoot looked up at Grandpa "Whats wrong Grandpa?" he asked between coughs.
Nani sighed and walked out of the cave in silence.
-
"You're worrying me, Littlefoot," said Grandpa. "You and Grandma both."
Taro stood at the cave for a bit, before Lily finally let go and got off his leg, and they both walked away together.
-
Nani just walked on sobbing hard,not looking where she was going.
"Grandpa I'm fine" Littlefoot said again for coughing this time blood came up "Just tried..honest"
-
Taro ran after her, just in case she nearly walked into a tree.
Grandpa was getting more worried by the second. "You're not fine," he insisted. "Does anywhere hurt? Do you feel weak? Are you hot?" He just fired questions at Littlefoot in panic.
-
Littlefoot admitted defeat and nodded in answer to all the questions "It hutrs everywhere...I just feel like sleeping and it feels like I'm right next to the bright circle or my body is on fire or something'
-
"Why didn't you just say so, Littlefoot?" Grandpa asked. "How long have you felt like this?"
-
"A few days.." Littlefoot admitted "I thought it would go away..but it just getting worse and worse.."
Nani stopped by a watering hole and began to wash the blood off her body that the licking had missed.
-
Grandpa sighed. "You should have told us. We would have been able to help you," he said.
Taro stopped next to her, staying silent.
-
Nani turned her head "Hello Taro".
Littlefoot started crying "I'm sorry..." he coughed again once again bringing up blood his head dropped smashing into the ground as he once again dropped into sleep.
-
"Hello," Taro answered quietly, Lily silently walking up next to them and getting herself a drink.
"Oh goodness," Grandpa whispered. He started to panic when Littlefoot just dropped asleep.
Grandma yawned, not aware of what was happening to her grandson.
-
Littlefoot coughed nonstop,blood dripped from his mouth.
Nani seemed in her own world as she stared into the water,a heartbreaking look on her face,
-
Suddenly Taro heard a yell. "That sounds like Papa Longneck!" he cried, running towards where he heard it. "Something's really wrong!"
-
Nani snapped back to the real world and followed him,
-
"What happened?!" Taro exclaimed when he saw Littlefoot. Grandpa explained what had happened to him while Taro checked him over.
Lily went over to Grandma and Nahla, and was surprised to see Grandma ill too.
-
Nahla smiled at Lily and let out a small cough herself.
Nani arrived at the scene and looked over Littlefoot,grief filled her face "I know this illness....I'm sorry but it is fatal to very young children..mostly under ten years..how old is Littlefoot?"
-
"Hey," Lily said quietly. She looked tired and her eyes were bloodshot from crying so much.
"8..." Grandpa whispered, grief taking it's place within him. He started to cry quietly. "Oh, Littlefoot..."
-
"I'm very sorry" Nani whispered and walked over to Grandma "How are you feeling? You been coughing? Feeling hot?" she asked looking her over "I'm a healer.." she said explaining herself.
-
Grandma shook her head. "Just weak and tired... and useless," she added. "I get it sometimes... it's nothing, really... I'm just getting old."
-
Nani thought for a moment and walked off "Be back" she walked on untill she found a small berries on a bush. Grabbing a branch and took them back and placed them down "Here,eat these. They'll make you feel less weak but however they might make you a bit thirsty" Nani smiled at Grandma and walked back to Littlefoot looking down at him a sad look on her face.
-
Grandma reluctantly ate the berries without a word, tears falling down her face.
Taro stood in thought for a moment. "I think I've also seen this before... I just need to remember it..."
-
Nani sighed "Theres something I can try,however it's a risk as most children react badly to it and it and it kills them. However there has been cases where children recovered with it. I can try it but I am warning you it a real make or break" she rubbed her head along Littlefoot "He is a very hit fever,get something like tree-stars,use place one on his head and use another one on the body to cool him down,do not throw a whole lot of water on him. He will chill which will yet again kill him"
-
Grandpa did as he was told and got the treestars, and placed one on his head and the other on his body.
"Just do it," he said, staring at the ground.
-
Nani leaned down and pulled Littlefoot over to her "You sure? Once I start I can not turn back,and there is the chance this will kill him"
-
"If you don't kill him the illness will," said Grandpa. "Just get it over and done with, please."
Taro had clear grief in his eyes and hoped with all his heart that they just wouldn't lose another little one now.
-
Nani sighed again "Ok then I'll do my best" witth that she picked a another plant and put it over his mouth "That will knock him out" she explained "So he does not wake up in the middle of it"
-
Grandpa couldn't watch; he went over to his wife, hoping everything would would be okay. The two entwined their tails and Grandma buried her head into her mate, crying.
-
Nani grabbed a small rock and made a cut on Littlefoot's stomach. She quickly placed a treestar down on it to stop the bleeding, Lifting it up she placed it down she began looking for what she knew was the problem,sure enough she found it. A large lump,she turned her head "Taro get me some moss please" she said before turning her head back and using her rock began trying to remove the lump that was endangering Littlefoot's life.
-
Taro nodded and got some moss, although he had no idea what she was doing. He got back and dropped it by Nani's side, before looking away in disgust.
-
Nani got the lump out. She quickly grabbed the moss and placed it on where she did the cut,trying to completely cover it. She grabbed a large treestar and wrapped it around Littlefoot's body,she removed the plant from his mouth and stepped back "Thats it,I removed the problem. All you can do is wait and hope. How his body will react we won't know till he comes round"
-
Grandma and Grandpa stayed silent, not sure how to react.
Lily went next to Nahla and made sure she didn't see anything.
-
Nani got rid of her mess and stood next to Littlefoot "You need to watch him closely for the next few days. You should really not let him eat for those few days,I know it sounds harsh but theres no other way" she smiled at Grandma and Grandpa "Come get me when he wakes up,I'll do a checkover" she walked off to give the family some peace.
Nahla poked Lily "Lily,we go swim?" she asked.
-
"Okay," said Lily, walking over to the watering hole.
Grandpa just nodded, still not saying a word.
-
Nahla bounced after her giggling,completely unaware of what just happened.
Littlefoot shifted his head slightly.
Nani found a small clearing and laid down praying Littlefoot would make it,she knew the grief of losing a child herself.
-
Grandma unsteadily walked over to Littlefoot and lay down next to him, ready to watch over him.
Taro followed Nani, not entirely sure what to say.
"How did you know to do that?" he asked eventually.
-
"It's a long story...." Nani sighed "However I hope I never have to do it,but I did twice...Littlefoot and Nahla a while back...she swallowed a pebble....had to cut into her to get it out"
-
"Gosh. That's quite amazing," Taro commented.
-
Nani shook her head "Not really,so much can go wrong. You could cut the inside of the one your treating,tear their organs..." she cut herself off and leaned into Taro "Wheres the girls?"
-
"I think Nahla said something about swimming," Taro answered. "Uh... she can swim, right?"
Lily soon reached the watering hole and looked at it before turning to Nahla. "Um... you do know how to swim, right?" she questioned.
-
Nani froze "No...she can not. Uzuri and Ben used to go swimming. We sometimes traveled and spent the day there..Nahla can not swim but she thinks because her siblings can do it..but she'll drown".
Nahla nodded and jumped into the water.
-
"I'm sure Lily won't let that happen," said Taro. "I don't think she'll be able to bare being responsible for another little one's death-" he cut himself off too late.
Lily got a bad feeling in her stomach and jumped in after Nahla.
-
Nahla soon went under,the water was calm however and she managed to get back up squealing and splashing around.
Nani stared at Taro "What?"
-
"Whoa, be careful!" Lily exclaimed.
"Uh... well, er... nevermind," Taro stammered, feeling like kicking himself in the head.
-
Nahla went under the water again coughing.
Nani stared straight ahead "I think I know what you meant,but I'll keep it a secret..I killed a herd once"
Littlefoot began to awake,he opene dhis eyes looking very confused.
-
"Hang on!" Lily cried, diving under the water and grabbing the hatchling, pulling her to shallower water.
Taro 's face was very serious. "I didn't want to tell you in case... you started hating Lily for it..."
"Oh my goodness," Grandma sighed. "How are feeling, little one?"
-
Nahla splashed in the water "SWIM SWIM SWIM!" she squealed.
Nani looked down "Taro I would never do that and I was not joking. I KILLED WHOLE HERD!" she screamed that last bit...a litlte to loud.
"Weak...and sick" Littlefoot answered.
-
"Well, don't go too deep," said Lily. "Want me to teach you?"
"Lily killed her younger sister," said Taro quietly before turning away from Nani.
"It's to be expecting I suppose," said Grandpa. "Shall I go and get Nani?"
Grandma nodded. "What was that yelling about, anyway?" she asked.
-
Nahla nodded a yes.
Littlefoot whispered "She said she killed a herd or something".
Nani looked down "Taro...not sure what to say about that..but did far far worse..I'm actually on lifetime exile in a lot of places,I'm a criminal"
-
"Okay, then," she said. She soon sighed in defeat, not knowing where to start.
The grandparents looked at each other with concern, before Grandpa settled down again.
"Maybe later, then," he muttered.
"I honestly don't care what you did, Nani, Taro answered quietly. I just thought you would get worried about Lily playing with Nahla so much..."
-
Nani stood up and walked away "Take care of Nahla...goodbye Taro" she walked off to go end her life,she knew she won't be able to stay here. Word was out she was a criminal.
Littlefoot moaned in pain "It hurts"
-
"Where are you going?!" Taro exclaimed. "Nani, come back!" He chased after her.
"I know, little one," said Grandma. "I'm afraid it will for a while."
-
Nani turned her head "What? Taro I can't live..after what I done"
Littlefoot began coughing "It getting worse...the pain and the hottness" he commented.
-
"Okay I'm getting her," said Grandpa in panic. He ran up to Nani. "He's awake," he said. "We need you."
-
Nani sighed "Ok then lead me to him"
-
Grandpa took Nani to where Littlefoot was. Grandma was still laying down next to him, pain in her eyes as she watched her grandson.
-
Nani rubbed her head against Littlefoot "He is very hot" she commented "But thats normal "There seems to be no sign of any negative reaction,but too early to tell if he will live. Sometimes signs don't come till hours or days later. But right now it seems fine" she raised her head "If he starts shaking,get me right away even if it the middle of the night and I'm sleeping. Shaking after something like this a very very bad sign something has gone wrong"
-
"Okay," said Grandpa. "At least it's good news for now. Thanks, Nani."
-
Nani nodded "Anytime,how long has been feeling like this anyway?"
-
"He said he felt like this for a few days," Grandpa explained. "But he didn't tell us nor did we notice anything until today." He and his mate just glanced at each other sadly.
-
Nani tilted her head "Odd,it never normally comes up that fast"
-
The old longnecks stared at her, confused and worried.
"W-what do you mean?" Grandma asked, her breathing starting to get shaky.
-
Nani looked at them "What Littlefoot had must of been building up for nearly a year,something like that could not form in days"
-
Grandma and Grandpa were even more worried now. "All this time... and we never even knew..." Grandma whispered, feeling quite useless.
-
"It's not your fault" Nani told them "It's hard to detect...if you want I can stay here tonight and monitor him just in case he starts having an reaction,I can do something about it right away"
-
"Okay... thank you," Grandma sighed. She got herself a couple of treestars to eat when Littlefoot wasn't looking.
-
Nani nodded and laid down next to Littlefoot "He could use some waterhis throat is drying up" she sighed and looked around for Taro needing to ask him something.
-
Grandpa went to get more water for Littlefoot as Taro quietly came through the trees.
-
"Taro!" Nani called "Your gonna have to look after the girls yourself tonightI need to montior Littlefoot's condition..think you can handle looking after 2 wild children?" she chuckled her love for Taro could be seen in her eyes.
-
"All right," said Taro, giving her a weak smile. "How's Littlefoot doing?"
-
"No signs of anything yet,he seems to be in a stable condition. He is very sick I won't lie,I got rid of the problem,but the road to full recovery is going to be long.
Littlefoot overhearing began sobbing,he was so scared.
-
"Ah..." Taro turned to Grandma. "I hope everything goes well for you."
Grandma just nodded as Grandpa gcame back with water.
-
Nani turned to Grandma "How are you feeling? Still weak?"
-
"A little, " Grandma answered. "But it's better now than it was."
-
Nani nodded "I'll be back in a sec,I just need to get something for Littlefoot" she walked off.
Littlefoot moaned "I'm hungry"
-
"I'm sorry Littlefoot," Grandma said quietly as Grandpa just nodded at Nani.
-
Littlefoot looked down "Can I have something to eat?" he asked
-
"I... don't think that's such a good idea right now, Littlefoot," said Grandpa. "We'll ask Nani when she gets back. "
-
Nani came back carrying an odd plant in her mouth,it did not look like food at all.
-
"What is that?" Grandma asked.
-
Nani just put the plant down and pressed down on it cream like stuff came out of it "Hold him still,this will sting"
-
"Oh... okay..." said Grandma, doing as she was told.
-
"This will stop infection" Nani explained taking off the tree-star around Littlefoot's stomach "Now Littlefoot this is gonna sting ok,but it's gonna help you" she said before slowly wiping the stuff from the plant on the area where she cut.
Sure enough Littlefoot began screaming and tried to break away.
-
Grandma kept him still. "It's okay Littlefoot, " she whispered, pain stabbing her in the heart when she saw her grandson like this.
-
Nani picked up a fresh tree-star and wrapped it around him "We have to do that daily" Nani told Grandma and Granpda
-
They nodded in reply.
"Okay, then," Grandpa said quietly.
-
Littlefoot sobbed quietly "Please...don't....it hurts"
-
"I'm so sorry Littlefoot," said Grandma, clear pain in her face. "But you won't get better without it."
-
Littlefoot hang his head and sobbed.
"Would you like me to give him something that'll send him to sleep for a while?" Nani asked Grandma and Grandpa quietly.
-
They said nothing, but they merely nodded silently, not even making eye contact with Nani.
-
Nani looked down on him "On second thought it'll be safer to not give him that right now,he just came round his knocking out. If I force hos body to sleep it'll trick his brain to putting him into a full on coma".
Littlefoot sobbed you could tell on his face he was scared./
-
Grandma and Grandpa gritted their teeth, looking very uneasy. After a few moment Grandma tried to comfort Littlefoot.
"It' okay, little one," she whispered. "One day, it'll all be better."
-
"What did she do to me?" Littlefoot whispered.
-
"Saved your life," Grandma replied. "...hopefully..."
-
"Saved my life?" Littlefoot questioned "What do you mean?"
-
Grandma started to let a lot of tears fall before answering. "There was something inside you Littlefoot... and it was killing you... Nani got rid of it and hopefully made everything all right..." A few moments later she broke down into uncontrollable sobs.
-
Littlefoot hang his head shaking slightly he was terrified.
Nani had walked to the other end of the clearing and was scnanning the distance for Lily and Nahla.
-
"Sorry," Grandma said eventually. "I'm not making things any better." She got up and started to walk away.
Taro had gone to find the two girls and he soon found them.
"Hey, girls," he greeted, smiling. However, Lily knew something was wrong.
-
Nahla was following hopper,jumping like it too. When it hopped she hopped letting out a croak like the hopper itself.
-
Lily walked towards Taro. "What's wrong?" she asked.
"Nothing," Taro answered, but he soon noticed a look that Lily was giving him. She was clearly not convinced. "You two are staying with just me tonight. Nani's going to stay with Littlefoot... just in case."
-
Nani slowly turned but what she saw shocked her "Oh no...he is shaking".
Nahla just kept playing her little game,lost in her carefree days of being a hatchling.
-
Grandpa started to panic. "What's happening to him?!" he cried.
Grandma walked up next to Taro, and she had clearly been upset for a while.
"It's hard, huh?" Taro questioned. Grandma just nodded in reply before taking a drink; she had no idea what was going on.
-
Nani's eyes flickered over the child "He seems to be have a reaction.." she looked around in panic screaming "TARO!" her voice clearly said it was an emergency.
-
Both of the longnecks at the water quickly turned around in shock.
"Can you look after the girls?" Taro asked. He didn't wait for a reply before running off, quickly reaching Nani's side.
-
Nani was staring down at the shaking Littlefoot she turned to look at Taro '"Taro I need you to hold him down for me" she turned to Grandpa "Papa Longneck-just stay calm"
-
Grandpa most most certainly not staying calm but he was frozen to the spot in shock and fear for his grandson.
Taro did as he was asked and held Littlefoot down.
-
Nani grabbed something that looked very odd,but Nani knew what it was and broke it open,pouring what was ever inside down Littlefoot's throat. "Ok Taro,you can let him up now. You'll just stopping him from running off,I doubt he likes me very much all I done was give him medicine" she chuckled light and turned to Grandpa "Just come and rub him for a while,keep his stress as low as we can for him".
-
Taro let Littlefoot up while Grandpa went up to him.
Meanwhile, Grandma didn't even seem to be watching anything. Everything was shaking, she was very scared.
-
Littlefoot tried everything he could to run of "Please stop it hurts" he screamed.
Nani walked off and stopped behind some trees.,Littlefoot was still in her sight but she was out of Littlefoot's she'll just have to watch him from over here.
-
"Shh, it's all right," Grandpa whispered, nuzzling Littlefoot, but keeping him from running off.
Taro left to leave the two some peace and joined Nani.
-
Nani smiled at Taro leaning into him "He should be alright,I gave him something that will relax his body,he was indeed having a reaction but we got it treated fast,so he should be fine"
Nahla still playing the hopper followed it to the edge of the watering hole and was about to hop in after it...in the deep end.
-
"You're amazing, you are, " said Taro, giving Nani a loving lick on the cheek.
"Nahla, no!" Lily cried, alerting Grandma.
-
Nani blushed "Oh I'm just a normal old longneck YOUR the amazing one"
Nahla stopped hearing Lily smiling she hopped over to her instead.
-
"I'm not amazing," Taro whispered, shaking his head. "All I ever do is cause trouble."
Both of the longnecks sighed with relief when Nahla went to Lily.
"You scared us," Lily said quietly, nuzzling the little one.
-
Nahla smiled "I SCARY?" she asked misunderstanding what Lily said and began growling and roaring.
"Taro...you saved my life...I love you I want you to remember that and not let anyone take it away from you." she licked him before turning back to Littlefoot "Wheres the girls?"
-
Lily giggled and growled back, pretending to chase the hatchling.
"They're with Mama Longneck," said Taro, smiling at her.
-
Nahla let out a playful scream diving under Grandma poking her tongue at Lily "I too fast for you!" she shouted.
Nani smiled "Lily and Nahla are qutie a pair aint they?"
Littlefoot had grown calmer,his shaking had stopped but he was hungry "Grandpa I'm hungry"
-
"Aw, treesweets," Lily sighed, pretending to be upset and walking away slowly.
"They are indeed," Taro agreed. "It's nice to see Lily actually playing with someone for once."
"Er... hold that thought, Littlefoot," said Grandpa as he got up and walked to Nani. "Is he all right to have something to eat yet?"
-
Nani thought for a moment "A small snack wont hurt,but he can't have a full meal right now. His stomach wont handle it and block up,however a handful of tree-stars will be fine" she smiled.
Nahla giggled and loped after Lily.
-
"Okay, thanks," said Grandpa, walking back to Littlefoot. He gave him a small pile of treestars to snack on for the time being.
Lily suddenly frowned and turned back to Grandma, who seemed to be in a world of her own.
"Hey, are you okay?" she asked, walking next to her. Grandma merely nodded in reply.
-
Nani remembered one more thing "Oh don't let him rush it down even though he is straving!" she called over. She sighed before suddenly gasping an gritting her teeth in pain,she had been standing up for too long when she was already injured.
Littlefoot grabbed a treesstar and began to gulp it down not hearing what Nani said.
-
"Littlefoot, not too fast!" Grandpa warned. "It's not good for you!"
"Whoa, why don't you go and lie down for a bit?" Taro suggested. "It's not going to help your injuries if you just stand up all day."
-
Littlefoot stopped midbite "Why?" he asked.
Nani shook her head "I need to monitor Littlefoot"
-
"Because, it's not good for you if you eat too fast," Grandpa explained.
Taro nodded. "That's very thoughtful of you," he said. "That is true selflessness."
-
Littlefoot finished off his snack "Can I have some more?".
Nani smiled "Yes,you should know. Selflessness is something you full of my love" she rubbed her head against him,blushing when her stomach growled "I guess I forgot to eat" she chuckled
-
"Maybe later," said Grandpa. "I think it's best if you only eat small amounts at a time."
"Shall I get you something to eat?" Taro asked, smiling at Nani.
-
Nani smiled "That would be lovely" she nuzzled him "Get something for yourself and the girls as well and also check on Mama Longneck"
Littlefoot seemed confused "Why?"
-
"Okay," said Taro, walking off. He checked on the girls first. "Hey everyone," he greeted before getting himself a quick drink.
"Because after what's happened, it's going to be too much on your stomach," Grandpa explained.
-
"Daddy!" Nahla cheered running over to Taro.
Littlefoot lookes "Oh" he coughed slightly "I'm tired"
-
"Hey, my special little girl!" Taro exclaimed, nuzzling Nahla.
"Hey!" Lily complained.
"And there's my special, uh, big girl!" said Taro. Lily gave him an unamused look before grinning at him and hugging him. Taro turned to Grandma. "We were wondering if you were doing all right?" he asked her. She just nodded again in reply. "I'm going to get some food. Do you mind watching the girls for a bit longer?"
"No, not at all," Grandma answered quietly.
"Then have a little nap if you need to," said Grandpa.
-
Littlefoot's eyes drooped closed as he buried his head into Grandpa and fell into a deep sleep.
Nani seeing them began to lose focus as tears filled her eyes,but she quickly wiped them away hoping no one noticed and walked over to Grandpa "You should go and rest for a while,have something to eat"
-
"I'm all right for now," Grandpa replied, watching Littlefoot constantly.
Taro soon returned with too much food again. "He we go," he said, putting the food on the floor.
-
Nani shook her head and walked over to a tree knocking a pile of treestars down. She grabbed them and plopped them beside the male "At least snack,you need to keep your strength up" she said smiling "I'll let him just sleep for now" she added looking down at Littlefoot "He might be pretty restless come tonight so be ready for that'
-
(I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK)
Petrie flapped around the valley trying to locate his friends.
-
(HEEEEEEEY!)
Grandpa sighed in defeat and forced himself to eat the treestars. He would have felt more guilty if Littlefoot was awake.
Grandma chuckled at the amount of food Taro brought back.
"I, er... didn't know what you ate..." Taro sighed, looking a bit awkward.
"I'm not fussy," said Grandma. "Life has taught me that I can't have preferences when it comes to food." Taro nodded as everyone ate.
"Oh, I'll need some for Nani," Taro mentioned when everyone was nearly finished. There was still plenty of food left when everyone was finished.
-
(Oh Zimmy? *Slaps* THATS FOR ALL THE EVIL YOU CAUSED)
Nahla having her fill sat down and tilted her head "Where mummy?" she whimpered "Mummy not here"
Nani smiled and went back behind the trees leaning against a rock gritting her teeth in pain,however she was strong she could handle it.
-
"Mummy's looking after Littlefoot, Nahla," Taro answered.
"Perhaps we should all go back," said Grandma, noticing that it was starting to get dark. "It's getting late."
"Yeah, perhaps that's not a bad idea," Taro agreed, gathering the rest of the food for Nani.
-
Nahla loped over to Lily "Ride?" she asked squeaking in the middle of the word.
-
"Oh, okay then," said Lily, smiling at her and lowering herself down to let Nahla on.
-
Nahla jumped on smiling.
Nani gritted her teeth before finally collapsing,her energy completely spent.
-
"Nani!" Grandpa cried.
Taro and the others had walked back.
"Oh no..." Taro whispered as he ran up to Nani.
-
Nani smiled at the group trying to act like nothing was wrong "Hey there Taro" she said before turning to Grandma "Feeling better?" she asked softly.
-
"Sort of," Grandma answered as Taro put the food he brought next to Nani.
"Right... you need to rest... no exeptions," he said.
-
"I'm fine Taro I need to monitor Littlefoot I have no time to rest" Nani standing up only the collapse again "I'm fine" she said about as if it was an insant response from her when that happened.
-
Taro sighed in defeat, knowing Nani was the only one who knew the illness.
"Look, I'll watch him for now, and if I see anything wrong, I'll let you know, okay? Just tell me what I need to look out for," he said.
-
Nani yawned "Just make sure he is not going into shock or panic. Make sure he is breathing clearly and....make sure.." she could not say anymore as she was out like a light asleep completely worn out.
-
"Okay... basically, if it's not normal," Taro muttered to himself before taking her place watching Littlefoot.
-
Nahla squealed loudly,enough to make anyones ears ring.
-
"Whoa!" Lily exclaimed in shock She turned to Nahla, looking quite tired.
-
Nahla squealed again holding one leg above the ground,she had stood on a ground prickly and it was now in her foot.
Littlefoot jerked awake from the squealing.
-
"Ouch... sorry if this hurts Nahla, but it has to come out," Lily said, grabbing it with her mouth and jerking it out of Nahla's foot quickly.
-
Nahla squealed loudly again but it was short,she placed her foot back on the ground and licked Lily as if saying 'thank you'
-
"Any time," Lily said, before yawning. She was getting really tired now.
-
Nahla also yawned almost stumbling with sleepiness.
-
Grandma chuckled slightly. "I think it's time you two went to bed," she said. Lily didn't bother walking very far; she just lay down and buried her head into Grandma's side before falling asleep.
-
Nahla stumbled over to Lily and climbed onto her,yawning she made herself comfy on top of Lily's head before curling up into a ball fast asleep.
-
Grandma and Grandpa nuzzled each other before also falling asleep, Grandma resting her head on top of her mate's. The only one left awake was Taro, who was tired but determined to keep a sharp eye on Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot was awake,he sat up feeling very sweaty. He panted wishing for a drink,he looked around both his Grandparents were asleep and unable to get him away. He groaned he looked very very uncomfortable and he felt it too.
-
"Hey kid," said Taro, walking up to him. "You need anything?"
-
"A drink.." Littlefoot whispered now even starting to look overheated.
-
Taro noticed this and quickly got him some water along with some damp treestars which he put onto Littlefoot's body, hoping they would cool him down. If not, he would have to wake up Nani.
-
Littlefoot gulped down every drop of his water in seconds,he looked down "May I have some more?" he asked almost timidly.
-
"Sure," Taro answered, smiling before quickly getting more.
-
Littlefoot took down half the water before stopping,chosing to save some for later. Instead he groaned holding his head as he plopped it on to the ground with a headache.
-
"Now what's up?" Taro asked, getting more concerned by the second.
-
Littlefoot did not answer instead just sobbed with pain and distress.
-
"I know something that might make you feel better," said Taro, grabbing a nearby treeweet and dropping it next to him. He knew it was something that would lessen pain slightly.
-
Littlefoot stared at it his eyes flicking to Taro and back to the treesweet unsure.
-
"I'm not trying to poison you," Taro promised. "It's actually quite nice too... well, I think so anyway."
-
Littlefoot slowly took the treesweet in his mouth and chewed a few times before shallowing before staring at Taro again wondering what he wanted.
-
"Er... anything else you need while I'm up?" Taro asked.
-
Littlefoot shook his head "I'm fine" he whispered.
-
"Are you sure?" Taro asked again.
-
Littlefoot looked weak "Yeah I would just like some peace and some more sleep.." he yawned
-
"Whoops, sorry," said Taro, looking a bit awkward. "I'll leave you along now. Just call me if you need anything." He left Littlefoot alone.
-
Littlefoot buried his head into his own side and fell asleep quickly.
(You start new day)
-
The bright circle rose about the Great Wall, and it wasn't long after that Grandma woke up. Taro had eventually collapsed into sleep and it seemed like it was her turn to watch Littlefoot for the time being.
-
Littlefoot showed to signs of movement,deeply asleep.
Nani showed signs of stirring before opening her eyes yawning.
-
Lily also woke up, and giggled when she saw Taro. "I knew he wouldn't last the night," she muttered.
-
Nahla was still alseep on Lily's head. Dribble dripped from her mouth and onto Lily.
-
"Eeewwww..." Lily complained. "Why do little longnecks sleep on heads?"
"I've had my share of that," Grandma chuckled.
-
Nani stood up "I can take her if you want" she offered.
-
"I don't mind," said Lily as the dribble fell slowly past her eye.
-
Nahla yawned and rolled over forgetting she was on Lily's back she rolled right off and woke up with a squeal of surprise.
-
"Good morning," said Lily, grinning at the hatchling.
-
Nahla grinned at Lily "MORRRNING!" she screamed.
Nani stood up and walked over to Littlefoot to see how he handled the night.
-
"Morning," Lily answered, nuzzled her, but she seemed depressed.
-
Nani walked slowly over to Littlefoot lowered his head to him "His condition has declined"
-
Grandma suddenly looked very worried. "What does that mean?" she asked, confused.
-
Nani smiled "It means he appears to be worse,but it fine,he is just stiffed up from staying in that spot to long,thats normal. In fact he seems to recovering very well" she stepped away from Littlefoot "Just let him get lots of rest but also make sure he walks at least every 2 hours or this happens" she nodded to Littlefoot "He will unstiffen on his own"
(Sorry me was not on today something came up)
-
"Okay, then," said Grandma, sighing with relief. "Thanks again, Nani. Erm... how are you doing now?"
-
With that Littlefoot awoke with a yawn and stood on his feet sorta,he was very stiff so he could really only half stand up.
Nahla had loped off and back with a necklace like object made of flowers,she gave her gift to Lily proudly.
-
"Oh wow!" Lily exclaimed, looking at the gift in awe. "That's beautiful!"
-
"I got for you Lily!" Nahla said wagging her tail proudly.
-
"Well... thank you Nahla," said Lily, silent tears falling from her eyes with happiness.
-
Nahla licked Lily on the cheek "Lily the best"
-
Lily grinned and nuzzled Nahla before licking her on the face.
-
Nahla giggled and batted Lily's nose.
Littlefoot managed to stand up fully and was slowly walking towards the watering hole
-
Grandma nudged her mate awake and followed Littlefoot to make sure nothing bad happened to him.
-
Littlefoot stopped by the watering hole and lowered his head to drink. Other valley dinosaurs shoved past him knocking him to the ground.
-
Grandma rushed up next to him. "Are you okay, little one?" she asked, worried.
-
Littlefoot nodded "Yes Grandma,someone just knocked me over thats all"
-
Grandma seemed slightly annoyed by that, so she kept very close to Littlefoot now.
-
The dinosaur soon turned once again knocking the child down and not bothering to see if he was ok.
-
"How rude," Grandma muttered under her breath. Now she stood over Littlefoot so that no big dinosaurs could get to him.
-
Littlefoot sighed,he was startled when he heard a squeak
Nahla had ran off and was now staring up at Grandma with a goofy grin.
-
"Well, hello there," said Grandma. "Where did you come from?"
Lily followed, panting, as if she was chasing Nahla.
-
Nahla just giggled and begna to bat Grandma's tail.
-
Lily slowly walked up to Nahla and collapsed in front of her, still panting.
"You... are... fast..." she said.
-
Nahla giggled "You no catch me!"
-
"No... you're right about... that..." Lily panted, resting on Grandma's tail.
-
Nahla was not even out of breath as she loped around in circles
-
"I need to get into better shape," Lily grumbled. "But I suppose that's kids, they never get tired."
-
Nahla giggled and jumped on Lily's head "RIDE!".
-
Lily groaned. "Oh, all right then," she said, getting up and walking around for a bit. "No running though, okay?" she added.
-
Littlefoot seemed to be staring at his stomach "What happened there?"
-
"Er... Nani sort of... cut your stomach open and saved your life," Lily explained instead of Grandma, who wasn't entirely happy with that, but said nothing.
-
"She...cut me open?" Littlefoot looked horrified.
-
"Well... yes," Grandma sighed in defeat. "It was to get something out... like a big lump or something, that was killing you, little one. That's why she's been giving you all that stuff and we can't let you have a big meal at once. Well, not until you fully recover, anyway, which will hopefully be soon."
-
Littlefoot tilted his head "I don't remember that happening"
-
"No... you were asleep at the time," said Grandpa, nuzzling him gently.
-
Littlefoot just let an "Oh".
Nahla was still giggling "Wittlewoot play?"
-
Lily set Nahla down and went to get herself a drink, tired from all the playing.
-
Nahla rolled on to her back and batted at the air.
Littlefoot walked out from under Grandma and headed to the resting place.
-
Grandma followed him, not wanting any more trouble with the other valley dinosaurs.
-
Littlefoot suddenly dropped to the ground,he did too much too soon.
-
"Littlefoot!" Grandma exclaimed, nudging him. She picked him, realising that he had probably used up too much energy at once.
-
Nani who saw the collapsing ran up and looked him over "He is fine,he just overworked himself"
-
Grandma nodded. "I hoped that would be the case," she said.
-
"Rest Littlefoot" she said before walking over to Taro "Rise and shine handsome" she said while licking him.
-
Taro yawned and opened his eyes, smiling at Nani.
"Good morning," he said.
-
Nani rubbed her head against his "How are you this morning?"
-
Taro yawned again. "Tired," he answered.
-
Nani chuckled and laid next to him "You should rest some more,I can watch the girls today"
-
Taro tried to get up. "No, you should be the one resting," he said before collapsing under his own weight. "Well, saying that..."
-
Nani just chuckled and rubbed him.
Littlefoot sat up "Grandma can I have some breakfast now?"
-
"Of course," said Grandma, getting a small pile of treestars for him. "I'll give you something small for now, unless Nani says otherwise."
-
Littlefoot ate his meal his mind wandering.
Nahla loped back to the resting place,once again making Lily need to chase her.
-
Lily did indeed chase Nahla back, collapsing next to Grandpa when she got there.
"Tired?" he asked with a smile on his face. Lily just nodded and buried her head into his side. She was usually terrified of old longnecks but she could trust Littlefoot's grandparents now. They seemed so nice.
-
Nahla laughed and bounced up to Grandpa "HELLO!" she called
-
"Hello!" said Grandpa, grinning at her. "Come to paint my tail again, have you?"
-
Nahla nodded "PAINT!" she cheered.
-
"Uh oh. Now I've done it," Grandpa joked.
Lily chuckled at grinned up at him. She hadn't spoken to Grandpa that much but she really like him now.
-
Nahla giggled and put on her sharptooth act. Roaring and growling.
-
Both of the longnecks in front of her pretended to be scared and backed off. Lily laughed with Grandpa, forgetting all about her fear.
-
Nahla hugged Grandpa around the leg roaring "I got you longneck"
-
"Oh no!" Grandpa cried, pretending to shake her off gently.
-
Littlefoot looked over to them with a sigh,feeling so useless and weak.
-
Grandma noticed this and lay down next to him. "Are you okay, little one?" she asked.
-
Littlefoot choked back tears "I'm a weak little runt" he sobbed.
-
"No you're not," said Grandma. "Littlefoot, you're amazing!"
-
"I'm weak" Littlefoot repeated burying his head into Grandma's side.
-
"No you're not," Grandma repeated, nuzzling him. "If it weren't for you, then..." She just realised what she was saying and cut herself off.
-
"Then what Grandma?" Littlefoot asked curious.
-
"Remember that time when I told you that you were all we have?" Grandma asked.
-
Littlefoot thought for a moment then nodded "Yeah I do"
-
"Well, when we first got to Great Valley, we thought you were dead," Grandma explained. "We were hopeless."
-
Littlefoot did not say anything just sobbed into Grandma's side softly.
-
"Littlefoot... if it weren't for you, we wouldn't be here," said Grandma. "So in a way, you're one of the most important dinosaurs we know."
-
Littlefoot sniffed "I love you Grandma"
-
"I love you too, Littlefoot," Grandma whispered, nuzzling him.
-
Meanwhile Nahla was using Grandpa's tail as some sort of slide.
-
"I suppose tails are so useful, aren't they?" Grandpa asked.
"I suppose they are," said Lily. "Especially as something to paint on." Both of them chuckled.
-
Nahla slid down the tail only this time kept on going into a bush.
-
"Whoops, I suppose I should move," said Grandpa.
-
Nahla was stuck in the bush,one of the branches was caught around one of her legs.
-
Lily went to try and get her out, trying to find the branch stuck around Nahla's leg.
-
Nahla began sobbing she wanted to come out.
-
Lily bit the branch that was caught around Nahla's leg and snapped it, freeing her. However it had cut her mouth in the process.
-
Nahla squealed and leaped out climbing on Grandpa like nothing happened.
-
Lily also came out of the bush, blood dripping from her mouth.
"Lily!" Grandpa exclaimed. "What happened?!"
"I cut my mouth on that branch trying to get Nahla out," Lily explained. Grandpa licked the blood off her face. "I'm fine, really," she said. "I've been through worse. Much, much worse..."
-
Nani rushed over "Would you at least like something to stop the bleeding" she asked concerned.
-
Lily shrugged, seemingly not to bothered about the wound, but blood still dripped from her mouth.
"Please do, Nani," Grandpa answered for her.
-
Nani wet a treestar and rolled it into a ball before passing it to Lily "Hold this on the side of your mouth where the wound is for about 5 minutes"
-
Lily groaned but did as she was told.
-
Littlefoot raised his head ro see what was going on,but soon burried it in Grandma again.
-
Lily's mouth soon stopped bleeding, but she still didn't seem to happy with all the fuss. She didn't see what it was all about. She hardly ever got injured while she was with Taro and before that nobody cared about what happened to her.
-
Nahla stumbled over to Lily and hugged her round the leg "I make you better" she said happily.
-
Lily smiled and nuzzled the hatchling, before yawning and resting her head on the ground in front of her.
-
Nahla climbed onto her head and used Lily as some sort of trampoline.
-
Lily frowned, but said nothing as Grandpa chuckled at her.
-
Littlefoot started coughing nonstop his throat already dry even though he drank short time ago.
-
Grandma got up and quickly went to get a water-filled treestar for Littlefoot. "Here you go," she said.
-
Littlefoot took down the water before laying his head down again with a sigh.
-
Grandma wrapped her head and tail around her grandson to hopefully keep him warm.
-
Nani stared into the distance seemingly lost in her own world,only movement from her was the rise and fall of her chest as she breathed.
(I had to work today...and tomorrow...and the next day...I got work all this week WAH)
-
Lily noticed this and walked up to Nani and nudged her. "Nani, are you okay?" she asked.
-
Nani did not seem to hear her as she kept staring into the distance.
-
"Helloooo?" Lily shook Nani again.
-
Petrie flew towards Grandma "Hello Grandma Longneck! Can Littlefoot come play?" he asked hovering in mid air.
-
"Okay, but try not to make him do too much today," said Grandma. "He's been very ill recently."
-
Petrie gasped "ILL? That no good,why was he ill?" Petrie asked looking worried.
-
"I think he was actually ill for a very long time, but we just didn't notice until recently," Grandma sighed. "I don't know what caused it. But, could you be a bit... careful with playing today? He's still recovering. That's... if you want to go, Littlefoot."
-
Littlefoot raised his head coughing looking very tired.
-
Grandma only just noticed how rough he looked and turned back to Petrie. "Actually... I think it's best if he stays here today," she suggested. "He doesn't seem to great at the moment.
-
Littlefoot dropped his head again "It hurts" he whispered.
-
Grandma nuzzled Littlefoot. "Shh, it'll be all right," she whispered, but it was clear that she was worried.
Lily poked Nani, noticing what was going on. "I think you need to check Littlefoot," she suggested.
-
Nani snapped back to reality "Oh of course" she walked over to him and checked him over "He appears to have a serve headache" she said rubbing her head along him
"I see no other problems"
-
"Perhaps a drink might help," Grandma muttered to herself, before rushing off to get another water-filled treestar.
-
Littlefoot sobbed,all he felt was pain lately.
-
Grandma lay down next to him again and nuzzled him. Lily went over to them.
"Don't worry," she said. "It'll get better eventually."
-
Nahla was following Lily like a leash was tied around her neck . She loped up to Littlefoot and licked him "I lick it better!" she told him happily.
-
Grandma and Lily smiled at the hatchling, both wondering if Littlefoot would take it well.
-
Littlefoot smiled at the hathcling,giving her a gentle nudge.
Nahla squealed and climbed on to hos face unaware she was meant to be careful.
-
"Whoa, Nahla!" said Lily, picking her off. "You need to be careful with Littlefoot," she warned. "He isn't feeling too good today."
-
Nahla looked at Littlefoot whimpering feeling very bad thinking she hurt him.
-
Lily sighed and nuzzled the hatchling. "Hey, it's okay," she said.
-
Nani smiled at them looking down at Littlefoot. Nani was looking very stressed and tired.
-
"Nani, why don't you go and get some rest?" Grandma suggested. "I'm sure we'll be okay."
-
Nani did not seem to even hear her as she turned away collapsing next to a tree.
-
"She needs it," said Grandma. Lily nodded in agreement.
-
"I'm fine" Nani protested though it was clear she was not.
-
"Just get some sleep," Grandma insisted. "We can look after the girls for a bit."
-
Nahla loped over to Nani "Mummy?" she asked climbing on her head.
Nani just groaned in pain but did not say anything.
-
Lily walked over to them, concern showing on her face.
-
"Mummy? Nahla asked again now jumping on her head.
"Nahla...not now dear" she whispered gently tipping her daughter to the ground.
-
"Come on Nahla," said Grandma, picking up the hatchling. "Mummy needs to rest for now."
-
Nahla squealed at being high up. Her face showed excitement.
-
Grandma chuckled and raised her head even higher, heading towards the trees.
"Anyone hungry?" she asked.
-
Nahla cheered "I am I am I am!"
-
Grandma giggled and put Nahla on a thick branch so it wasn't as likely that she would fall off. She dropped some down to Lily, who went to give some to Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot looked at the food for a second then turned away from it "I'm no hungry" was all he said.
-
"Okay," said Lily, lying down next to him and eating some for herself.
-
Nahla began to bat the branch making it rain treestars all over the place.
-
Lily giggled as one landed on top of her head, covering her eyes.
"It suddenly went very dark," she commented.
-
Nahla smiled looking very proud of herself.
-
Lily walked around and pretended to crash in Grandma, and she stumbled back, the treestar falling off her face.
-
Nahla squealed with laughter.
Littlefoot opened one eye and rose his head now wanting to be a part of it.
-
Lily noticed the young male and pretended to crash into Grandma again for Nahla's amusement before walking up to him.
"Hey, Littlefoot. Wanna join us?" she asked.
-
"Yeah ok" Littlefoot said standing up.
-
Lily giggled and ran off. She wasn't looking where she was going and tripped over Grandma's tail, not on purpose this time.
-
Nahla still on her branch starting sobbing wanting to get down with everyone else.
-
Grandma put her head on the branch Nahla was on to let her hop on. "Come on, little one," she said, smiling at her.
-
Nahla climbed on smiling her tail wagging in delight.
-
Grandma lowered her head to Lily.
-
Nani watched them after going completely silent.
Littlefoot slowly walked over to Grandma a faint smile on his face.
-
Grandma smiled back at her grandson. "How are you feeling?" she asked him.
-
"Still bit tired but not as much as before" Littlefoot answered.
-
"Good," said Grandma, nuzzling him.
-
Nahla tumbled off as Grandma nuzzled Littlefoot. She starting sobbing and looked for a way to get back up.
-
"Oh, sorry Nahla," said Grandma. Lily picked her up and put her back on Grandma's head.
-
Nahla squeaked happily.
Littlefoot leaned his against Grandma's just wanting comfort.
-
Grandpa decided to join the rest of the group after having a daydream, remembering when his family was more like the group he was looking at now. He dropped a large treestar on Lily's head, who looked very unamused by this.
-
Nahla found it very amusing and howled with laughter.
-
Lily smiled and and crashed into Grandpa before hugging him around the leg.
-
Nani suddenly stood up and began to walk away.
-
Taro woke up again and looked over to see her leaving. "Nani? Where are you going?" he asked, noticing the confused looks on Grandma and Grandpa's faces too.
-
Nani did not answer or stop walking till she reached the cave where her children were laid to rest.
-
Taro followed her, wondering what she was up to. When he saw where she was going, he kept very quiet in respect. He understood where she was going now.
-
Nani laid on the ground crying heavily.
-
Taro felt like asking a question but he realised that he already knew the answer so he kept his mouth shut and said nothing. He knew he had to let her grieve.
-
Nahla looked around and saw her mother gone "Mummy?"
-
"Don't worry, Nahla," said Lily. "She'll be back."
-
"Mine won't be back..." Littlefoot whispered so only Grandma could hear.
-
Grandma sighed and nuzzled him, knowing what he was feeling. She didn't know exactly what he was feeling, but she knew full well that her mate would.
(Haha reference to the fic. :lol)
-
Nahla screamed running around in panic looking for her mother,unaware she was just going in one big circle.
-
Lily chased her. "Whoa, Nahla! It's okay... she's coming back soon."
-
Nahla stopped running and instead just turned to Lily and climbed and hang on her leg.
-
Lily tried to walk back to everyone else but just gave up and licked Nahla on the face instead.
-
Nahla let go of Lily's leg and slipped to the ground.
-
Lily chuckled and accidentally stepped into some mud, getting her feet covered in it.
-
Nahla squealed and too jumped into the mud splashing it on Lily.
-
Lily splashed the mud all over Nahla as revenge, and by the end she looked like she could blend in by a tree branch.
-
Nahla screamed playfully running around making crazy twists and turns.
-
"Strange kid," Lily joked, before jumping into the mud, covering herself. "I am the mud monster," she growled playfully, before attempting to pounce on Nahla.
-
Nahla let out a playful scream and sprinted to Grandpa 'SAVE ME!" she said attempting to jump onto him.
-
"Don't worry, Nahla! I'll protect you!" Grandpa answered. He and Lily pretended to get into a fight and in the end Grandpa won. Lily pretended to play dead.
-
Nahla cheered "YAY!" she hugged Grandpa.
-
Lily shifted a bit but didn't get up. Now she pretended to be fast asleep.
-
Nahla got off Grandpa and walked over to Lily.
-
Lily still pretended to be sleeping, but she knew Nahla was there.
-
Nahla started licking Lily's face tail wagging happily.
-
Lily started laughing and and pretended to pounce on Nahla.
"I've got you now!" she said, before tickling Nahla.
-
Nahla squealed in surprise and tired to roll away while she laughed. She tied to bat at Lily to stop tickling her.
-
Lily didn't stop tickling. She pulled an "evil" grin.
-
Nahla screamed playfully as she tried to roll away.
-
Lily giggled and let Nahla go.
-
Nahla rolled over and got into a pounced position at a butterfly.
-
Lily lay down for a quick rest after playing so much.
-
Nahla had dropped off asleep on her back and her legs stuck up in the air after getting into that positon after her attempt at butterfly catching failed.
-
Lily and the grandparents chuckled when they saw her, and all of them lay down for a while. Grandma and Grandpa had almost forgotten what it was like to have to look after a hatchling. These days Littlefoot just went off to do his own things with his friends.
-
Littlefoot shifted himself so he was closer to his Grandparents.
-
Grandma yawned.
"Still tired?" Grandpa asked.
"Hey, I was up early," his mate sighed. "You had a long lie-in, I believe."
"True... true..." his mate admitted.
-
Nani by then was done crying and had gone silent having used all her tears.
-
Taro still stood silently behind her, looking at her sympathetically.
-
Nani stood up and started to turn,she was surprised when she saw Taro behind her.
-
"I wanted to make sure you were okay," he said quietly. "Sorry."
-
Nani gave a weak smile "It ok,I'm glad you did" she nuzzled him.
-
Taro rubbed his head gently against hers. "I know this must be really difficult for you, but I'm always here if you need someone to talk to, and if I'm asleep, I don't mind being woken up."
-
Nani buried her head into his neck "Ir is diffcult but theres one thing that is pulling me through it"
-
"And what would that be?" Taro questioned. "Nahla, I suppose?"
-
"Well yes but the thing I was thinking of was..you" Nani said rubbing her head against him "I love you Taro"
-
Taro blushed and chuckled. "I love you too, Nani," he whispered.
-
Nani was about to lick Taro when she heard a squeak.
Nahla had once again taken off and was now loping around Taros feet.
-
"Well, hello there," said Taro, chuckling at that fact that she had just ruined the moment.
-
Nahla kept on loping and jumping around Taro's legs squeaking happily,
-
Taro picked her up and brought her next to Nani's head, grinning at her.
-
Nani chuckled "Your a hyper little thing" she said nuzzling her daugfhter.
-
"Isn't she just?" Taro agreed, putting Nahla on her mother's head.
-
"Hopefully with you as a father she'll have a better life then Uzuri and Ben had" Nani said shifting herself to steady Nahla ontop of her.
-
Taro looked down and nodded.
-
Nahla squeaked in surprise as a large treestars blew on top of her,it was bigger then her body.
-
"Oh, breakfast!" Taro exclaimed and he took the treestar off Nahla with his mouth.
-
Nahla looked very confused,she looked up at the sky tilting her head..why did it go dark in the daytime?
-
Taro also looked up. "Is that sky water I'm seeing?" he asked himself when he saw dark clouds approaching overhead.
-
Nani looked up too "Looks like a storm"
Nahla started whimpering loudly at that,she hated storms they scared her badly.
-
"Perhaps we should warn the others and then go and find cover somewhere," Taro suggested.
-
Nani half nodded trying to keep Nahla balanced and began to walk back to the others/
-
"Hey, lazy bones!" Lily greeted, hugging the male around the leg.
"Hey," Taro answered. He turned to the grandparents, looking worried. "There's a storm approaching," he explained.
-
Nahla again whimpered at the word 'storm'.
-
"Right, I'll go and warn the others," said Grandpa. "Grandma, you go and take them to the storm shelter."
Grandma nodded. "This way, everyone," she said, heading towards a very large cave at the end of the valley.
"It'll be okay, Nahla," said Taro, nuzzling the hatchling.
-
Littlefoot stood up and quicky ran to catch up to Grandma.
-
Grandma lowered her head to let him climb on.
-
Littlefoot jumped on and turned so he was facing the right way before laying down.
-
"Right... here we are," Grandma announced when she finally reached the cave. "We should be safe here."
-
Nani walked in as the sky water began to pour.
-
Grandpa also returned with many of the Great Valley residents.
"I think most of them know now," he said to the others.
-
Nani backed deep into the corner,she was still a Shadowlander after all.
-
Taro stood in front of her, as if he was hiding her from the others. Lily joined them.
-
Nahla whimpered as a flash of lightning filled the sky.
-
"Don't worry, Nahla. It'll pass soon," Taro assured the hatchling, nuzzling her.
-
Littlefoot was under Grandma to try and avoid being knocked down or stepped on.
-
Grandma shot angry glares at a lot of the dinosaurs in case that happened again, and most of the time nobody wants to be around an angry longneck.
-
A scream filed the cake as lightning stuck quick close causing a loud bang-that scream came from Nahla.
-
Lily got onto the Taro's head and tried to comfort her.
-
Nahla was trembling her little eyes were wide.
-
Taro watched the sky fire as it hit the ground. "I'd hate to be out in said," he muttered.
-
Nahla screamed annoying many of the dinosaurs in there "Oh shut your baby up" one complained
-
"You shut up," Taro snarled back at them. "She's just a hatchling who's scared of sky fire."
-
"Hah what a whimp then!" the dinosaur shouted back.
Nahla screamed as the sky fire struck again,tears poured down her face.
-
"DO YOU WANT ME TO COME OVER THERE?!" Taro yelled.
"Calm down," said Lily. She knew Taro could get quite the temper. He himself took no notice of being insulted since it happened a lot to him, but if it was against anyone close to him, he would throw an anger fit.
-
Nani rocked Nahla "Shhh shhh" she whispered she was looking around the cave in fear in case she was spotted.
-
Lily tried to have a nap but of course the loud crashing of the sky fire stopped her from doing anything like that.
Taro calmed down and just watching the display of light outside. He had hated storms since he was a child. There was a storm the day he lost it all.
-
Littlefoot shivered under Grandma,the sky water bought a cold breeze with it. He was starting to chill.
-
Grandma lay down and kept him close, trying to use her body to keep him warm.
-
Littlefoot buried himself into Grandma shivering "When will it stop Grandma?" Littlefoot asked about the storm.
-
"Soon, little one," Grandma assured him. "It always stops after a while."
-
"I'm cold" he complained staring outside of the cave.
-
Lily slid down Taro's tail and lay down next to Littlefoot, also trying to warm him up.
-
Nahla was looking over to Lily and Littlefoot squeaking loudly wanting to join them.
-
"Do you mind if she goes over to them?" Taro asked Nani.
-
Nani looked around at all the large dinosaurs "If you take her over...she can go"
-
Taro nodded, and picked Nahla up. He took her over to the others. Lily shifted over to let her go in between her and Littlefoot.
-
Nahla squeaked happily and made herself comfy just as a flash of sky fire filled the sky followed by a boom of thunder made her jump on of her skin. She clung to Lily's neck shaking and wide eyed.
-
Lily tried to comfort her. "Shh, it'll be over soon," she said quietly.
-
Nahla clung onto Lily not wanting to let go for a second.
-
Lily cuddled Nahla, hoping the storm would stop soon.
-
Littlefoot coughed quietly this chilly cave was not helping his recovery.
-
Grandma and Grandpa tried to shield Littlefoot from the wind while Lily tried to snuggle up next to him with Nahla to keep him warm.
-
The storm finally began to die down,Nahla became calmer and started batting Lily's tail.
-
"Thank goodness for that," Grandpa sighed. "I thought it would never end."
-
Nahla screamed as the Valley residents charged out. just avoided getting stepped on.
-
Grandma quickly picked the three little ones up and brought them out of the way of the other dinosaurs.
-
Nani sighed with relief when the other dinosaurs left,
-
"Well, thank goodness for that," Taro sighed as he walked out of the cave.
-
Nani rubbed her head against Taro "Thanks for playing body shield" she chuckled
-
"No problem," Taro answered, nuzzling her.
-
Nahla poped her head up seemingly having a personailty changed now the storm was on. She jumped,she fell,she got up and jumped again as she ran around the cave with happy squeaks.
-
"Well, someone suddenly got hyper," Lily commented, chuckling to herself.
-
Nahla loped out of the cave still jumping and squeaking.
-
"Hey, wait up!" Lily cried, taking off after her.
-
Nahla stopped when she heard Lily and bounced over to her crashing into her leg.
-
Lily nearly toppled over, but just about managed to keep her balance. "You crazy thing," she chuckled.
-
Nahla squealed and jumped into a puddle splashing Lily.
-
Lily also jumped in and splashed her back, laughing hysterically.
-
Nahla stomped around in it laughing.
Littlefoot moved himself and now sat at the entrance of the cave,he was watching Lily and Nahla.
-
Grandpa yawned, tired after rushing off to go and warn everybody. He lay down next to his grandson.
"How are you feeling now?" he asked.
-
"A bit chilly but I'm not feeling as sick anymore" Littlefoot answered
-
"That's good, then," said Grandpa, rubbing his head gently against Littlefoot.
-
Littlefoot leaned into his touch "How did I get sick anyway?"
-
"I'm not entirely sure," Grandpa answered, thinking. "Remember that time I fell sick? We still don't know what caused that."
-
Nani joined the males at the entrance watching the girls play in the puddles.
-
Grandma followed her lead, and plopped herself down next to her mate, looking around the now soaking valley.
-
Nahla slipped in one of the puddles and fell right over scabbing one of her knees. She began sobbing and screaming bleeding slightly.
(Scabbed knees...we all been there)
-
"Uh oh. Hold on, Nahla!" Lily cried as she ran over to the hatchling. She licked any blood off the scratch before finding a small leaf and covering it.
-
Nahla looked up at Lily and rubbed against her wanting to be picked up.
-
"Oh, okay, then," said Lily, picking her up.
-
Nahla sqeuaked happily and made herself comfy.
-
Lily walked around for a bit, before going back to join the adults.
-
Littlefoot had fallen asleep in between his Grandparents.
"Normal" Nani commented "He'll be a bit tired and weary for a few days"
-
Lily also lay down next to Taro. "It's very squishy around," she commented.
"That was a bit of a random thing to say," Taro chuckled.
"It is though," said Lily. "It feels a bit yucky... and I have wet feet now."
-
Nahla proved she had muddy feet by stomping around on Lily's back covering her with her muddy footprints.
-
"Oh, great," Lily moaned sarcastically. She grinned at Nahla.
-
Nahla was very proud of herself as she jumped down and began to jump on Taro's tail.
-
"Uh oh," Taro joked, chuckling at her.
-
Nani turned her head "Nahla stop being a little pest" she chuckled.
-
Taro laughed and rubbed his head against Nani's, smiling at her.
-
Nani smiled and rubbed him back then starting using him to as a itching post.
-
Grandma and Grandpa chuckled at the younger adults, and shared a tender moment themselves.
-
Littlefoot shifted in his sleep.
Nahla began to bat his face wanting him to play with her.
-
"Nahla, he's too tired to play right now," said Lily, smiling at her.
-
Nahla whined but turned to Lily and began to bat her face.
-
Lily giggled at her ran away, hiding behind Taro's leg.
-
Nahla found a new interest-chasing her tail. She spun in endless circles.
(D'awww Nahla)
-
Lily and Taro burst out laughing when they saw her.
"Aw, how cute," Grandma chuckled.
-
Nani giggled "My daughter is strange" she commented smiling.
-
"Strange and has the talent to make everyone happy," said Lily, grinning at Nahla.
-
Nahla caught her tail and now held the tip of it in her own mouth.
-
Lily cheered at her, while Taro still chuckled.
-
Littlefoot awoke from the noise looking annoyed.
-
"Whoops," Lily whispered, as she and Taro gave each other and awkward glance.
-
Littlefoot just turned and buried his head into Grandma falling back asleep.
-
"That's it, no more noise," said Taro. Lily nodded in agreement.
-
Nahla squeaked loudly,echoing on the cave walls.
-
Taro looked at Nahla. "Well that was thrown out of the valley quickly," he chuckled.
-
Nani covered Nahla's mouth with her tail "Shh Littlefoot is taking a nap"
-
Grandma and Grandpa smiled at Nahla before looking back to Littlefoot.
-
Nani stood up carrying Nahla in her mouth "We'll give you some peace" she managed to mutter out and walked away.
-
Taro and Lily followed them, leaving the grandparents and Littlefoot alone.
-
Littlefoot awoke once again hearing the footseps,he thought it was his Grandparents leving him.
-
Grandpa yawned again and settled down.
"And you had a lie-in," said Grandma.
-
"Sorry for all the worry" Littlefoot mumbled.
-
Grandma nuzzled him. "It's okay, little one," she said.
-
"It's cold in here" Littlefoot said shivering.
-
"We should find some place a bit warmer," Grandpa suggested, getting up and picking up his grandson.
-
Littlefoot nodded shivering.
-
The bright circle was out and shining, and the old longnecks soon found a meadow where there was a lot of light and where it was warmer.
-
Meanwhile Nani had put Nahla down and was now relaxing but a quiet deserted watering hole.
-
Taro and Lily followed them. Taro wasn't looking where he was going and bumped into a tree, causing Lily to have a fit of laughter.
-
A butterfly caught Nahla's eye and began to lope after it.
-
"Oww..." Taro complained. He had hit his head quite hard.
-
Nani raised her head "You ok Taro?"
-
"Fine," Taro answered, gritting his teeth with the sharp pain in his head. He knew that would turn into a bruise sooner or later.
-
Nani stared into his eyes "Taro you know you can't hide it,I'm a trained healer"
-
"It's fine, really!" Taro exclaimed. "I just... wasn't looking where I was going and walked into a tree and banged my head, that's all."
-
Nani licked his cheek "You are stubborn" she smiled.
-
Taro grinned. "I recommend no children on my head for at least a week, please," he said, glancing at Lily when he said this.
-
Nani chuckled and rubbed against him "Where did the wild child go?".
Nahla had kept on walking till she found where Grandma and Grandpa were,with a squeak she ran up to them.
-
Taro immediately looked worried.
~
"Oh, hello there," Grandma chuckled when she saw the hatchling.
-
Nahla squeaked happily at Grandma
-
Grandma had bought over some treesweets for the family to share.
"Want to paint Grandpa's tail again?" she joked.
-
Nahla nodded her face lighting up with excitement "PAINT!"
-
"Oh boy," Grandpa sighed as his mate giggled at Nahla.
-
"NAHLA!" Nani's worried voice rang across the valley "NAHLA WHERE ARE YOU?!!"
-
"SHE'S OVER HERE!" Grandma called, hoping Nani would hear her.
-
Nani heard and rushed over.
Nahla heard her coming and hid behind Grandma's tail on the side not facing Nani.
-
Taro followed her quickly, nearly tripping up on the way.
Grandpa glanced over to where the hatchling was hiding and chuckled. She was quite wild, he had to admit that.
-
Nani arrived on the scene,sadly for Nahla she was wagging her tail and it was in view over the top of Grandm'as tail. Nani smiled "Oh Nahla?"
Nahla giggled thinking she could not be seen.
Nani rolled her eyes "Mama Longneck have you seen Nahla?" Nani asked playing along.
-
"I did earlier, but she ran off again," Grandma chuckled, also playing along.
-
"Papa Longneck,have you seen her?" Nani chuckled.
-
"Nope, I'm afraid I haven't," Grandpa answered with a grin on his face.
-
Nahla giggled loudly wagging her tail faster and harder.
-
"Hmm... I wonder where that giggling is coming from?" Grandma wondered.
-
Nani smiled "Oh Mama Longneck theres something by your tail"
-
"Oh, is there?" Grandma asked, chuckling. She lifted her tail to see just what was there.
-
Nahla squealed as her hiding spot moved.
-
"Oh, I think I see her now," Grandma chuckled.
-
Nahla doved behind Grandpa now.
Nani chuckled "Nahla come along"
-
Taro joined the rest of the family. He had stubbed his toes on a sharp rock on the way and some of his foot was coloured red from it.
-
Nani saw it "Taro what happened? And don't tell me 'your fine'" Nani was scared and concerned.
Nahla climbed up onto Grandpa and crawl along till she was crawling on his face.
-
Taro smiled at her. "I'm fine," he said.
-
Nani frowned "Please Taro..tell me the truth,even if it is just a small cut your at risk at infection"
-
Taro walked towards her with a clear limp. "I've suffered worse, trust me," he said. "But, if you're that desperate to know, I stubbed this toe on a rock." He showed her his bloodied foot, showing the injury.
-
Nani looked saddened and a bit offended "Sorry I nag..I just...don't want to lose you..I already lost so much...." she shook her head and took off running forgetting her daughter.
-
"Nani!" Taro called. He tried running after her but had to slow down as there was still pain in his foot. He turned back to Grandma and Grandpa.
"Will you two be okay looking after Nahla a while longer?" he asked. Grandma nodded and he limped off after Nani.
-
Nani slowed down to a walk but did not stop moving.
-
Taro tried walking a bit quicker, but that caused more pain in his foot and he had to stop.
-
Nahla meanwhile was tugging on Littlefoot's tail trying to get him uo.
-
Lily soon found Nahla and joined the family.
-
Nahla spotted Lily and ran towards her at full charge,leaping on the way.
-
"Uh oh," said Lily, bracing herself to be jumped on.
-
Nahla skidded to a stop the last second and collied into Lily.
-
"Whoa!" the female exclaimed as she toppled over.
-
Nahla squealed and started chasing her tail.
-
Lily backed off to avoid another collision, but giggled when she saw Nahla.
-
Nahla kept chasing her tail.
Littlefoot looked up and couldn't help himself-he burst out laughing at the hatchling who was chasing her tail like she thought she was on verge of some kind of major breakthrough.
-
Grandpa looked down at his grandson and grinned. He was glad to see Littlefoot so happy.
-
Littlefoot was still laughing but that soon ended with some coughing not completely recovered from his illness yet.
-
"Are you all right, Littlefoot?" Grandma asked.
-
"Yes Grandma I just got a bit of a cough still" Littlefoot answered looking over to Nahla "What is she doing?" he chuckled.
Nahla was still trying to catch her tail she was now growling at it for escaping.
-
"Being a bit strange," Grandma chuckled.
(I was really sick this morning so I'm off school. I hate being sick... :x )
-
(*Hug* my poor Rammy.Nahla will make you better. I will I will)
Nahla caught her tail but that only caused her to tumble over.
-
Lily laughed and went over to the hatchling to help her. "You're so crazy," she commented.
-
Nahla rolled on to her back and pretended she was running,her legs flailed in the air.
-
"Now you're even crazier," Lily giggled.
-
Nahla stretched out her body letting out a long adorable yawn.
-
"And now that's just cute," said Grandma.
-
With one more yawn,Nahla closed her eyes and fell into a peaceful nap.
-
Lily went and laid down next to the hatchling.
"You're very good at this," Grandma said to her.
"Well, I used to have a younger sister back-" she cut herself off when she realised what she saying. She looked to the ground, the thought of her sister still hurt greatly.
-
Nahla sucked on her own tail tip in her sleep.
Littlefoot noticed Lily and sighed "Thinking about it hurts huh?"
-
"Yeah..." Lily sighed. "It hurts whenever I think about any of them... and what he did to them..."
-
"You shouldn't focus on that,focus on whats happening now.,,....don't worry about the past or fret about the future,just enjoy the present" Littlefoot cut himself off.
-
"Strong words, Littlefoot," said Grandpa, quite impressed with what Littlefoot had just come out with.
Grandma went over to Lily and rubbed her head gently against her. "He's right, though. If you keep looking back on it you'll never move on."
-
Nahla let out a yawn' stretching out her body but not waking.
-
Lily looked over at the hatchling and let a silent tear fall.
"Okay," she whispered. "I'll try and take that advice."
-
Littlefoot nodded lowering his head down again.
-
Lily also tried to take a little nap while Grandma lay down next to Littlefoot again. She wondered what had happened to Lily and her family, but dared not ask about it.
-
"My head feels heavy" Littlefoot commented.
-
"Perhaps you should have a nap yourself?" Grandpa suggested.
-
Littlefoot didnt answer and just fell asleep still drowsy from all his medicine.
-
"I'll take that as a yes," Grandpa chuckled.
-
Nahla let out squeaks in her sleep and moved her legs as if she was running-she was dreaming.
-
Lily shifted away a bit in case Nahla turned around and tried to kick her.
-
Meanwhile Nani stopped running and was now laying on a ledge overlooking the valley.
-
Taro was gritting his teeth with the pain in his foot as he limped along, sighing with relief when he finally found Nani.
-
Nani turned her head to greet Taro but didn't say anything.
-
"Hey," said Taro, limping up to her. "I suppose I could do with those healer skills of yours now," he said, still grinning when he showed her his injured foot.
-
"Of course"Nani said standing up and grabbing a nearby fruit. She licked away the blood and broke open the fruit pouring the juices on the wound "That'll numb it up,but you'll still have the cut"
-
"Cuts are fine," said Taro. "It's really deep ones I hate, like this one that blinded me in my left eye. Uh... I don't suppose I ever really told you about that, did I?"
-
"YOUR'E BLIND?!!" Nani exclaimed in complete horror "Oh my poor Taro" she said more softly rubbing her head against his head.
-
"In one eye," Taro corrected. "I've been this way since I was a child "
-
Nani leaned into him "You got me now,I wont let anything bad happen to you again"
-
"I know," Taro chuckled. "But I'm fine, really."
-
Nani playfully slapped him on the shoulder "You always say that!" she giggled
-
"Yes, because I'm always fine," Taro answered, grinning at her.
-
Nani licked Taro "And stubborn" she chuckled "Thats why I love you"
-
Taro cuddled her. "And I love you because you're actually someone who cares," he said quietly.
-
Nani buried her head into him "That Hades was....a...disgrace to longnecks"
-
"I agree with you on that one," said Taro calmly.
-
"You know...I feel we were meant to be..like it destiny" Nani said quietly.
-
"Yeah... I have the same feeling, too," Taro agreed.
-
Nani turned her head to gaze over the green valley "This is paradise" she whispered.
-
"I know," said Taro. "I've never seen such a beautiful place."
-
"And you make it better" Nani added licking him.
-
"And here I was thinking I made it an eyesore," Taro joked.
-
Nani chuckled "No,your the reason I'm still alive"
-
Taro just nuzzled Nani in reply to this, almost letting a tear fall.
-
"We should be getting back" Nani muttered.
-
"Yes, perhaps we should," said Taro, not seeing a tree to his left before whacking his head right into it. "Ouch..."
-
"You ok dear?" Nani asked concerned.
-
"Yeah..." Taro sighed. "Just my blind spot."
-
"My poor Taro" Nani whispered giving him a lick on the cheek.
-
"I've had worse," said Taro, poking his tongue out at her.
-
Nani slapped him playfully and started walking down the hill they were on.
-
Taro followed, still with a bit of a limp from that foot he hit earlier.
-
Nani arrived back to where the other longnecks were and smiled seeing Nahla sleeping by Lily's side.
-
Taro chuckled when he saw the two. "They are true sisters, aren't they?"
-
Nani nodded and rubbed her head against Taro's "And your just Father of the year"
-
"Ha, hardly!" Taro scoffed, grinning back at her.
-
Nahla awoke hearing their voices and loped over to them.
-
"Uh oh, here comes trouble!" Taro joked.
-
Nahla giggled and rolled over to her back pawing at the air at the faces of her mother and new father in an adorable manner.
-
"She must be the cutest little thing that walked the world," said Taro, tickling her.
"Hey!" Lily yelled from a distance away. She had also woken up.
-
Nahla squealed,dribble pouring from her mouth and onto Taro's foot.
-
"Lovely," said Taro. "And there's the dryer girl," he added as Lily walked over to them.
-
Nahla tried to roll and get back up but she couldn't. She rolled on her back like a turtle trying to stand.
-
Lily pushed the hatchling over onto her stomach.
-
"Your getting chubby Nahla" Nani chuckled.
-
"I suppose that comes with this place's food," Taro chuckled. "You can't seem to get enough of it."
-
Nani leaned into Taro "I can't get enough of being with you"
-
Taro smiled, and noticed that it was starting to get dark. "Wow, I didn't realise how late it was," he said.
-
Nani looked up and also noticed,she looked down to Nahla "Time for bed"
Nahla got up and screamed before bolting at the words 'time for bed'
-
Lily went after her, and soon grabbed her by the tail and picked her up. "Come on, Nahla," she sighed. "The day's over, it's time for sleep and sleep stories."
-
Nahla squeaked and tried to run in mid air.
-
"Wow, do you really hate going to sleep?" Lily asked her. "Is it because you'll be next to me all night?" she added, grinning at the hatchling.
-
Nahla stopped running and yawned falling asleep on Lily.
-
Lily smiled and walked back to the adults. "I have just performed a miracle," she chuckled, showing the sleeping hatchling.
-
Nani smiled "How do you do it" she chuckled.
-
"I'm magic, duh," Lily joked.
"Well, let's find somewhere to rest," said Taro, yawning after he said it.
-
Nani nodded "Lead on Taro" she said nuzzling him.
-
Taro soon found a good sheltered spot for them all to rest. "I choose this spot," he said, collapsing to the ground.
-
Nani giggled and laid next to him placing her neck over his.
-
Lily set Nahla down next to Nani and then lay down next to the hatchling.
"Goodnight everyone," said Taro.
"Goodnight," Lily answered.
-
Nahla made a sound that sounded a lot like 'goodnight'
-
(Okay let's wrap this up.)
Lily rested her head next to the hatchling and everyone fell asleep. The new family slept under the watch of many night circles to come, and enjoyed their many days together living in the Great Valley.
Grandma and Grandpa Longneck carried on with their lives with their grandson, glad that their daughter's old childhood friend had found true happiness at last. It seemed that all was well again for the dinosaurs living in the paradise once more.
