Basic History: He had a fairly normal life at first, going to college & university, helping to run the company set up by one of his ancestors. Then came robberies and the reports they were done by monsters and were to powerful to stop.
He went to the safety deposit box where some papers of one of his ancestors that his family history said use to be some sort of masked mystery man hero type nearly a hundred years ago. He took the papers home, that had not been looked at in many decades or longer.
He looked them over and saw that he did claim to be what family history had claimed and that he was active from the 1930's into the late 1940's. Looking them over he understood the formula for what his ancestor called dragon elixir and used his knowledge of science to concentrate the formula using modern technology and used some of his other notes for the costume idea, basing it on some designs his ancestor had drawn. He used some more modern and cutting edge technology to design his costume.
Some things he used was high tech plastics for the striking surfaces and some lightweight armor for parts of his costume and added in some gell for the striking surfaces so his body would not take the hit as much. He also used modern tech fabrics that were expensive to sell just on the street like varicloth that could alter it's color to an extent, good for lowlight stealth camouflage. Their normal color is a dark greenish color. They can also change their color for normal wear and some memory plastic fibers so if he needs to quickly he can switch from his normal clothes to his hero costume or back. He also added in a wrist computer he wears on his left wrist and
goggles that have polarization, infra-red, lowlight, and some magnification (not as good as specialized electronic binoculars). He hid this manufacture and such under dummy companies, temporary fake corporations and such. Once he had everything ready he staked out a likely place where they may strike next, reports continued coming in. And he saw a flash of light and went to investigate. He saw they were instead some sort of humanish size monsters (digimon). He went in to stop them and battle them. He battled them and some of them opened a portal thing to try to flee. He saw some sort of gold ball come towards him and thinking it some of attack punched at it, but his fist went right through it.
He battled mainly one, while the others got away. They battled and it went through the portal after throwing him off. He was able to do a typical long jump and grab onto it and continue their battle through the portal. On the other side he was able to get in a last blow, and was surprised when his opponent glowed and shrank and then ran off. He let it go since he wasn't in super shape himself.
He found himself in a new world and found out it contained odd sentient creatures who called themselves Digimon. He fought some bully digimon and wound up meeting Hawkmon when he came in to help with one of the battles. Eventually he was able to get some items to cobble together what he hoped would let him get home. Up till then he was able to interact with his own world/time as far as email, websurfing, watching online videos and such through his wrist computer, but had no way to return.
His first attempt got him into a pirate ship. After a time he returned to the digital world. The second foray out he wound up on another pirate type ship. The 3rd attempt he would up in an old west time on what he was sure wasn't his world since it had an anthro bee sheriff who used a stinger gun, a thing he was sure he'd had heard of if it had been his own world. After some more time in the digital world and resetting the setting on his device he would up in the era of his ancestor. Together they were able to partially refine his cobbled together device. Knowing of his plight his ancestor set things up so he could access a certain account that would have a percentage of the family corporation's profits put into it, s that way he would have access to money regardless of what era or year he appeared in, at last as long as it was after this one. And after helping him with a few cases he returned to the digital world.
Another resetting and he would up in what he was again sure wasn't his own world. This was in the 80's in japan and he met and helped the Dynaman team (the goofy spoof dub version). The thing he believed to be proof it wasn't his world was everyone in japan spoke perfect American English, but still wrote in Kanji, no one spoke English, but their lips didn't match what they were saying, reminding him of a dubbed movie. Dr Ho was able to help him with his device to improve it further. He stayed for a while but returned to the digital world once more.
Another trip to the digital world and when he made a foray out he would up with a group of anthro dinos that called themselves the Extreme Dinosaurs. Stegs was able to refine and improve his device even farther. He again stayed for a bit then returned to the digital world again. Battling some evil or bully types of digimon here and there.
He's made one brief foray out trying out new settings once. They encountered an annoying teen girl (Rika though he didn't know her name), doubtlessly a villainous type in the making since she attacked first and civilians & heroes do not attack first. He and Hawkmon battled her digimon lackey (Renamon) who attacked them first. When the villianess did a digimodify move he took out the digi-egg of love and had digivolved Hawkmon into Halsemon and together they beat her digimon then he knocked out the human master and took her digivice, he hoped ending or severely limiting her villainous career then left returning to the digital world before her master or his other lackeys showed up, he took the card things she had been using and some of the others she had been using to further hamper her villainous career. Half he gave to Stegs (of the Extreme Dinosaurs) to look over, the over half Dr. Ho to look over. He's not yet visited his friends to see what results, if any, their examination has had. He also left the digivice with Stegs and plans on, once Stegs is finished examing it, taking it to Dr. Ho (of dynaman) to examine also.
By this time he had spent about 2 years off and on, in the digital world. He is nearly always (95-55%) in his Green Shadow identity while in the digital world for multiple reasons. 1 is that he is recognized there, and feels that his Terry identity has really no place and nothing to do there unlike his Green Shadow Identity.
At first he was angry, then a bit depressed, but over time, and some of the folks he encountered and with Hawkmon's help and being there he came to accept that he would likely never get home, but could at least interact with it through the internet. But he could leave it when he wanted and could visit some past friends (like the Dynaman team & the Extreme Dinosaurs since those spots seem goofier then usual especially Dynaman) he had made if he reset his device to match the settings of when he appeared there, and he can avoid returning to certain places also since he made a recording of where the various settings sent them to.
Though he had the setting for home he could not get there, almost as if something were blocking him, someone or the digital world itself. He's modified his gear and such over time.
