General Land Before Time / Creatures you would have liked to see

First I have noted something concerning your writing style:
If you write on the computer don't forget to press 'space' after commas, full stops, exclamation marks, question marks and colons :yes

now on-topic ;) : I would have liked if they had brought in Dimetrodons a bit more... maybe as background character or even more important...

Concerning the Muttaburrasaurus: That name is stuck in my head since it's a weird name imo. It reminds me of the German word 'Mutter' which means 'mother' :lol
Interesting coincidence!!! Even if you consider ornithopod dinosaurs were really good at caring for their hatchlings. So,Muttaburrasaurus was probably no exception.

Yeah,i know the franchise is no more and is now extinct for all. But,what dinosaurs and other extinct creatures you would have liked to see or feel that the LBT franchise should have added???If you ask me,i would have liked to see gorgonopsids (Gorgonops,Lycaenops,Inostrancevia,Sauroctonus...)Yeah,i know they're from the Permian and didn't live with dinos but hey!!!the first film had a Dimetrodon in it.And some permian creatures are background characters in the sequels.I also think they should have used certain theropods like Carnotaurus and Ceratosaurus.Too bad they never appeared. However, their mesozoic bestiary was quite fine,i gotta say.It made Muttaburrasaurus famous, after all.

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the alignment system of D&D, but by the sound of it it seems to be similar to that which is used in the computer game Baldur's gate.
If so I wouldn't think of any of the maincharacters as lawful. Not because they were some kind of anarchists, but because they very often break the rules and more often than not for the benefit of others. Littlefoot does show reluctance to break the rules of the grownups when in LBT 2 he is the first to voice any concerns about crossing the sinking sands. However, we more often see him take the initiative to break the rules of the grownups and bend the "laws" where said laws aren't helping.
...

Come to think of it, a character who would be extremely rule- or law-obeying might make for an interesting element in an LBT story. We have had characters before who would be supposed to be so lawful but for whom it didn't take any serious convincing effort to convince them to break the rules after all.
Then it would be safer to classify the protagonists as chaotic neutral

I'd like to see some more mythic creatures.A Peryton would be fine.
Since MLP FIM has plenty of references to pop culture,i'd really like to see a nod to the original Land Before Time film...What would be a nice shout out to it,guys???For example,a flashback of Twilight's birth that resembles Littlefoot's birth,a quote from the original movie or something like those

Yeah, this is a pretty nerdy topic.I AM A NERD AND LOVE STUFF LIKE THIS,AND I DO NOT HAVE SHAME IN ADMITTING IT.
Back to the topic, what do you think would be the most fitting Dungeons and Dragons alignments for The Land Before Time characters???So far i can think:
Littlefoot:Lawful Good
Ducky and Petrie:Neutral Good
Cera:Chaotic Good
Hyp,Mutt and Nod:Neutral Evil
Sharptooth:Neutral Evil
Spike:True Neutral
Chomper:Neutral Good,too
As i said before,I'd like to know, what alignments do you think fir the characters best in your own opinion???

General Land Before Time / What LBT means to me...
« on: May 09, 2013, 10:26:05 PM »
I'm truly sorry about your loss.My mom died too.In February of 2011.I know Littlefoot's pain perfectly well.Don't worry,my pal,remember Rooter's words:
"You'll always miss her. But she'll always be with you, as long as you remember the things she taught you. In a way, you'll never be apart, for you are still a part of each other."

General Land Before Time / Movie introductions

Definitely the original. The overall introduction into such a mysterious and dangerous world which was accompanied by an amazing score was just beautiful. :wub
I agree with you in that.My fave is the original intro too.The way the narrator speaks is just EPIC.Dinosaur and prehistoric life documentaries would do well in making introductions similar to that one

What's your opinion about Ali???She has some Sueish traits,i see,but that doesn't make her one of those unholy demons. But what do you think anyway???I'd like to know.Do you view her as a Mary Sue or as a nice, likeable character. She has a very pretty singing voice too.

1988 Theatrical Release / An observation

Cera has the biggest character development in the whole franchise.Sure, she starts out as a full time jerk, but gets better and better through the series. She's now like Rainbow Dash when it comes to her behavior,i'd say.

The dinosaurs, definitely the dinosaurs.I was born in 1996 and the first dino movie i watched was Jurassic Park.I LOVED it.Then,my parents bought me the original LBT and watched it.IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!full of heartwarming moments and a great story. All its characters were lovely!!!If it weren't for JP and LBT,i wouldn't be the great dino fan i am nowadays.
