I never saw this one in the theaters, thus, I wasn't one of the "suckers" that Homer points out at the beginning.

Eh, it was funny. Basically just an extended Simpsons episode. Not much else to say.

The simpsons overdraw, exaggerate, work with stereotypes and are in my opnion absolutely hilarious in doing so. Often very real problems are addressed in the simpsons episodes in a satirical way. Professors for American Cultural Studies at our university recommend watching the simpsons to their students. Rather than just claiming your opinion of the Simpsons being "retarded" as a fact, why don't you (who is calling for tolerance in other cases where people may behave towards stuff you like just the way you are behaving to the simpsons or other stuff you dislike) come up with some arguments and points to found your view on? What is it that you find so retarded about the Simpsons? Arguments can make a discussion. Mere aggressive statements don't create anything.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I was told it is very funny (as you said Nimrod) so I think I'll try to take a look at it whenever I have the chance.
