John hid his face and grabbed his sword, he soon entered the room where Ashnii slept and woke her.

"What's going on" she asked.

"I need you to gather your things, we're leaving".

"How come".

"Imperial patrols" John replied as he went down stairs to meet with Nicula and the others.

Eric stepped in the front door, wiping his hands with a scrap of cloth on his belt.
"Well, that wasn't too hard. If that's the best the Empire has...well, this won't even be a challenge."

"Well, that'll be fun. Haven't used this form in a long time. I'll need something to practice on."
He said, dispelling the claws.
"And I didn't kill them. Just knocked them out."
He added with a chuckle, his teeth glinting...

Nicula breathed in rather deeply as she followed dar maa down the trail hoping that the guards would not stop them and ask some questions, questions which would be tricky to answer..

They approached the exit to Brug Orn where there were four more guards waiting. John's eyes narrowed at the sight of them. He immediately began considering what options he and the others had in order to escape undetected.

"The king thinks that there are two fugitives hiding here"

The guard still didn't seem to buy Daar Maa's explaination.

"What a'bout those two in the hoods" he asked.

John tensed up, trying not to accidently blow his cover.

"I'm just a traveling peddler, that is all" he said.

"What's your name then?"

"Haden Wells"

For a moment John's trick seemed to work as he watched the guards murmer amongst themselves before one addressed him again.

"Pull down your hood and show me you face then, peddler" he said
