How come a thread for this great fandom not already exist? Seriously. :bang
Someone needed to create it, so I figured I'd do it.
Here you can talk about anything related to TMNT.
If you have questions, ask them here and I'll answer them.

I love TMNT! “Turtles in a Half Shell, Turtle Power!”
My favorite is Raph:

Cool, always nice to find fellow TMNT fans.
My favorite character is Leatherhead. The alligator. 🐊
-
@HotelValleyfornia
The unofficial 'fifth turtle' from the 2012 series.
Slash.
-
WHOA he looks awesome! :wow
I hope sometime I can get into this franchise, heh :angel
-
I could maybe do something about that.
-
Maybe. I do wanna expand my pool of media. It's pretty small right now, not gonna lie :lol
-
I'll start whenever you're ready then.
-
Venus de Milo will always be the Fifth Turtle to me:

-
No offense, but the live action series kind of suck in my opinion.
-
Yeah, it wasn’t great. I tried to rewatch it, and well.. it is poor.
I only liked the idea of a Fifth Female Turtle, a sister. The rest was a dumpster fire.
-
@HotelValleyfornia And here's Leatherhead for you since you wanted to see him.
-
Wowie, that IS a cool croc! My inner reptile fan loves this :DD

He's alright, but I like the henchmen of his in the 2012 series more (Fishface, Rahzar, Rocksteady and Bebop).
And the 2018 series villain males.. (Repo Mantis, Hypno-Potamus, Warren Stone, Meat Sweats, Ghostbear, all 3 of the Mud Dogs and Heinous Green).

I really like the original TMNT Shredder, his backstory with Splinter and that the Footclan is drawing in teens who are latchkey and not close to their parents; very realistic.

He's kind of meh. :thudLOL
-
I gotta say Krang in the last live action TMNT movie was.. disgusting. I understand why he had never been adapted to live action, he’s too toony.
-
Yes.
-
Caught some footage of the TMNT 2003 and not a big fan of that Shredder.
-
Ah, the series that got me into TMNT overall.. when I was 3. :bestsharptooth
-
The Turtles seem well done, but Shredder being a.. well Kraang creature. It works if he was only impersonating Oroku Saki.
-
I remember there being something like that indeed..
-
What is your favorite iteration of TMNT? 1980’s, 2003, 2012, and etc?
-
2018.
Because of LGBTQ+
-
Is the 2018 one with Raph as the leader and dimensions?
-
You know it.
-
I just remembered there was a Batman crossover movie :bestsharptooth Do you guys remember it?
-
I've seen, or at least, know about every piece of TMNT media.

I might buy a Nintendo Switch for this and some Mario Games.

@SammyTheSpiketail
Do you prefer the gritter style of the comics where there is blood or the more goofy and tamer style of TMNT shows?
-
Hmm.. I like the shows more. Not really a fan of blood and gore-y stuff (hemophobia).
-
I like both, I enjoyed how gritty the Orig TMNT movie was and I like more toned down and silly Turtles.
I really feel TMNT III the movie is underrated. I like it better than the Secret of the Ooze.
-
Nah, 2007 movie was the best in my opinion.
-

Ah you liked the animated movie.
Only saw parts of it.
I like the live action TMNT movies, because we will never see live action Turtles again.
-
Hm, okay. And yeah, I do.
-
I mean they will always be CG instead of animatronic suites.
-
Yeah.
-
Who is your favorite of the four turtles?
-
Raphael.
-
Raphael.
Mine too!!! Cool. :)
-
But who's your favorite mutanimal?
Slash
Leatherhead
Dr. Rockwell
Mondo Gecko
Mona Lisa
Muckman
Former member Pidgeon Pete
-
@Gentle Sharptooth
-
I know none of those outside our role play. :D
I guess Slash.
-
Pidgeon Pete is my favorite.
I do like Brad as Dogpound.
Really loving TMNT 2012, it is addictive.
-
Finally some activity around here, okay, nice.
I agree, Dogpound is really cool. Won't spoil much, but Spike will be relevant.

I love how mutagen can come in contact with anything and create creatures. I really like April in this series too.
The animation is my favorite now, I don’t know how I’ll adapt to Rise of the Turtles after this, the 3D animation works so well for the stunts, fights, and gags. I love New York at night and Kraang hideouts.
Some easter eggs:
Mikey when he says he wants to tatoo his face at the Purple Dragons tattoo parlor makes a face that is the classic 1980’s Mikey from the orig show!
The ring tone of the T-phones is the classic TMNT theme!
Shredder is voiced by the actor Clancy Brown who plays The Kurgan in The Original Highlander Movie, in a duel on the roof with Collin McCloud, The Kurgan cuts into a giant neon sign and makes it fall, Shredder does the same in this series, and piece of falling neon sign nearly squashes Mikey. That was a cool homage to Clancy Brown’s live action villian who is as ruthless as Shredder.
The Kraang Robots remind me ot Terminators in design, they even fire magenta lasers like phase plasma rifles of the Terminator films.
-
Yeah, it's cool. Oh and if you're planning on watching Rise, it's the first TMNT series that will have clear hints of LGBTQ+ in it.
-
They just released a new line of TMNt tots including toy weapons like Raph’s Sais, Mikey’s Chucks, Leo’s Ninjato, and Donnie’s staff that you can stab into combatant and the blades collapse, they also conceal and fold up for true Ninja sneak attacks.
-
New movie is coming out on August 2nd (U.S)/August 11th (Finland)
-
Really?!!’ Cowabunga!
-
When it comes to TMNT, I'd say that my favorite version is the one that aired in 2003. They had an amazing take on it that I feel really worked out. They made it so Splinter was never human, but Hamato Yoshi's pet rat. (A rather intelligent one at that.) They also made Shredder and Krang be one and the same. Not to mention just how dark this was for a kids show. They got away with a lot in the end. I liked the dynamic of the Turtles. It was the core of the originals, but far more fleshed out.
For me, it got bad when they went through time into the future. It really felt like a filler season at the end of the day. They eventually find a way to get back to the past, and I felt it was a bad move to bring that robot back with them. (He was such bad comedic relief that I can't remember his name.) At that point, I was just glad they ended it on a good note. There are few series that can claim that.
Despite it's shortcomings, I still love the 2003 version, and recommend it to anyone who wants to get into TMNT. It is definitely worth a watch in the end.
-
Yup. Even the future season had something good about it, that being the Dark Turtles. They're kinda funny in my opinion. My favorite is still Leatherhead though, followed by Traximus.

Haven’t seen it. It did do well at the box office. Did you like it?
