Hey I hope it ok making my own RP as well,cause I have my own plot idea I want to use.
WELCOME TO THE LAND BEFORE TIME 14...just kidding
Anway I talked to my buddy Nahla and she said I could ran one to,thanks Nahla your so kind (I was gonna do it even if she said no shh)
Plot: A mysterious young longneck child name Zimba arrives in the valley. . It gets weirder when another longneck child shows up in the valley,however Nahla is abused by she everyone she knows.. Then 2 'farwalkers' arrive in the valley Taro and his adopted daughter Lily. The Gang try and figure out what is with these 'freak's.
However can Zimba be trusted? What is the truth about Nahla's past? How did Taro get all those scars? How did Lily end up with the young male? What bought them to the valley in the first place? Will our loveable Gang Of Five figure out this mystery or will this one leave them stumped?
The answer lies in your hands.
Be prepared for an adventure of mystery and drama.

somerandomfangirl-I was reading Nahla's new RP and I reckon Lily and Nahla would be a good 'crossover' (crossing over you and Nahla's fics.. :lol) seeing as they both have the same kind of past.... If you don't want them in,tell me and I'll edit them out of the story.
And I supposed you want Grandma and Grandpa again and since your a good friend,they yours. Unless you don't want to take part then..yeah.
Nahla-Nahla you agreed to this so no whining :p and I'll even let you have your fave little longneck boy.

Nahla:
Age: Young Child (Around 7 years old in Human years).
Species: Longneck
Appearance:Bright pink scales,white on her belly that goes up to the top of her muzzle then it narrows forming a blaze like marking up to her forehead. All four of her feet are white up the knees,her toes are the same pink as her body. A patch of white with a line of pink running through it is found on her back. Her eyes are light blue.
Family: None (Orphaned).
Personality: Nahla is scared,very very scared. All she ever knew was abuse and neglect. She does not trust anyone. Grandpa and Taro are the ones that seem to scare her the most,when ever she catches even sight of one them she'll go into a complete panic attack. She is very shy and if anyone tries to speak with her she'll just freeze up. It takes a lot to just get her trust but once you got it,she is very kind and opens up about her past..which reveals some shocking things.
Bio:
Abused from the day she was born. Not being what her parents 'wanted' they made her life misery. They hit her till she was lying in her own blood. Day after day,hour after hour. Because of this she has no trust in anyone. After her father had enough he toss her off a cliff to end her life,however somehow Nahla survived,but she could not go back there. Beliving she was dead and out of their way for good her parents went on with their lives celebrating the fact they wouldn't have to see her stupid face anymore. A longneck came to her in her sleepstories and told her about the Great Valley. The child decided to head there,but she was worried no one would accept her as she was complete bone,her ribs stuck out and you could see and feel her spine she never really ever got food,all she got was just enough to keep her alive once a week. Upon reaching the valley she collapsed,however a stranger picked her up and took her in with him. Causing her to have a panic attack when she awoke resulting her in needing to be rushed to a healer due to slicing her leg and neck open on rocks it was that severe. She does however make a full recovery and is placed under Grandma and Grandpa's care.
Special Notes:
* Has severe Panic disorder.
* Grandma is the first one she gets trust and clings to her.
* Her favorite food is pink tree-sweets.

Taro:
Gender: Male
Age: Young adult
Species: Longneck
Appearance: Basically a much paler version of Grandma Longneck, being light grey with a darker stripe down his back and a pale yellow underbelly, and he has reddish-brown eyes. He has a deep scar going down his left eye which he got when he was a child, which is the most noticeable out of that and a few others going across his back.
Family: Well, that would be telling, wouldn't it? Well, he has his adopted parents, Cira and Velo, both of which are fast biters.
Personality: Very adventurous and outgoing. He loves a chat with anyone, but is also very wise for his age, and always makes a good point in the rare amount of discussions he has. He is dedicated to helping other dinosaurs who are struggling with their lives.
Bio: Taro was separated from his biological parents at a very young age due to a devastating sharptooth attack, and hasn't found them since. He was found by some fast biters residing outside his home, and they, having lost their own son to the same sharptooth, took him in and raised him. He learnt Sharptooth from them, and is able to speak both that and leaf-eater fluently, although he is not fully accepted once others find out about this. He left the fast biters and went on a journey to find his true parents. Instead, he found himself helping others who were struggling and didn't feel welcomed in life on his journey throughout the world.
Special notes:
* Is blind in his left eye from the scar the sharptooth gave him.
* Actually has a fair few fast biter friends from his childhood, and seems to be more accepted among fast biters than leaf-eaters.
* Despite being quite chatty, he seems reluctant to talk about his past and where he's from.

Lily:
Gender: Female
Age: Child (about 2 years older than Littlefoot)
Appearance: Very light purple, with similar markings to Littlefoot's mother, and has dark blue eyes.
Species: Longneck
Family: All deceased apart from her grandfather. Her adopted father is Taro.
Personality: She's a very shy and timid girl, and the only dinosaur she's remotely comfortable with is Taro. She has a strong fear of older dinosaurs due to something that happened in her past.
Bio: Lily has a very dark past that nobody really knows about. She was found by Taro, standing on the edge of a cliff, like she was about to end it all. Since then she was adopted by him and he showed her a better way of life. She doesn't talk to many and even seems scared of other dinosaurs, especially older ones due to something that happened with her grandfather, but in time this lessens. (This is gonna be fun with Grandma and Grandpa. ) She's very clingy to Taro and tries to stick by his side no matter what. If she's not with him, she'll be on her own in a quiet place somewhere.
Special notes:
* Most of the time she seems to be daydreaming or thinking too much, so she's hardly "in the real world" so to say.
* Can speak some Sharptooth herself after learning off Taro, but not very much yet.

Zimba:
Age: Teen (15 in Human years).
Family: Unknown (aka not came up with yet)
Appearance: Light red body,with white underbelly. Has a 'swirl' facial making. Has white rings on tail and zebra like stripes on all legs. His back has a line of upside down U like shapes. Dark midnight blue eyes.
Personality: Zimba is well...creepy. Not much is not about his character guess you can say he is evil. He tends to sit there and stare at you like some sort of ghost. He always nearly has a smirk on his face and his eyes are nearly always sparkling with mischief. He is always up to no good,so watch your back. And if you catch him staring at you....you better know a good hiding spot.
Bio: Zimba's past is a mystery he travels the land,valley to valley. However weird things happen with him around. Children younger then he go missing,some are found..some are not so lucky. Just who is this guy? And what does he want? And why does he seem so interested in the gang? One day Littlefoot is not so lucky,he barely escapes alive. Zimba does not give up though,and he won't till he gets want he wants...whatever that is. He also attempts to get both Nahla and Lily to side with him.

As the bright circle rose into the sky over the Great Valley,a lone longneck child walked in unseen. He had blye eyes,a red body and a white underbelly. On his face was a marking looking a swirl. He stood on a hill over looking the nests of a few families. Zimba eyed one and began to walk down to the longnecks a smirk on his face.

Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike were playing "Sharptooth Attack"
Cera chased them through the Valley. They finally were trapped in a canyon at the edge of the Great Valley, there was no way.
"Please, please, don't eat us, big, stinky, old sharptooth!" Ducky begged.
"Me not tasty!" Petrie shouted.
Spike sat on the ground shaking like hell.

Littlefoot's grandparents had just seen off their grandson, who had gone to play with his friends. They decided to go to the watering hole for a while, as it was a good place to meet and catch up with old friends.

Littlefoot laughed having fun and pretending like he was gonna go fight the 'sharptooth'.
Meanwhile outside of the valley,a very thin,very injured child was trying to use the last of her strength to reach the inside. But finally her legs gave way and she fell to the ground,completely passed out. She was so close to the valley but,she could just not go on. And no one came out here,it seemed like Nahla was gonna die.

Another longneck was just trying to find an entrance, and soon enough he found it.
"Hey Lily," he said, waking up the little longneck on his back. "We're here." Lily just groaned and went back to sleep. She hated going to new places, since everyone seemed to be horrible to her and Taro, and she didn't understand why. He walked in, nervous as usual when he was about to meet a big herd. However, he was shocked to see a little longneck passed out on the ground in front of him. Worried, he picked her up, looking around frantically for her parents, if she had any. After seeing nothing, he decided to take her in deeper into the valley.

Littlefoot who had spotted the newcomers after climbing a cliff during the game suddenly climbed down and sprinted away "Be back in a sec guys!" he shouted to his friends. Arriving at the watering hole he shouted "GRANDMA! GRANDPA! THERES SOMEONE COMING INTO THE VALLEY!".

"Are there?" Grandma asked. She turned to her mate. "Well then, we should go and greet them." Grandpa nodded in reply and began to walk away with Littlefoot.
"Where are they, Littlefoot?" he asked his grandson.

Littlefoot pointed "There theres three of them"
Nahla was deeply unconscious,her ribs stuck out and you could see her spine.

Taro was disturbed by just how much the kid's bones were sticking out, even more so when he picked the child up. He was underweight himself, what with travelling almost all of the time across many wastelands, but he tried to make sure he always found food for himself and Lily. Lily was in a fairly good state, since she needed less food and Taro would give her food first. She shuddered when she saw Nahla, and again when she saw who was approaching them.

Littlefoot who ran ahead of his Grandparents screamed when he saw how bad the newcomers looked. One seem terrified,one was covered in scars and the other was a skeleton. Littlefoot back up very disturbed.

Taro saw the little one in front of him and immediately placed Nahla behind him on his back next to Lily so she wouldn't be in clear view.
"Oh... hi there, kid," he said nervously, seeing how disturbed Littlefoot looked. Grandma and Grandpa soon came up and saw Littlefoot's disturbed face, and turned to face the newcomers. They all looked extremely rough, Taro and Nahla especially.
"Oh my," Grandma whispered to her mate before speaking to the other adult. "Er... hello there," she said. "Who might you be?"
"The name's Taro," the pale grey adult answered. Grandma looked at him, she was sure he looked familiar, and the name was a name she would never forget. She shrugged it off for now, though.
"Well, Taro, welcome to the Great Valley," her mate spoke up, also thinking the same thing as his wife.
"Thanks," Taro replied. "But I won't be staying long."
"Oh, why's that?" Grandma asked.
"I never stay in one place very long," he answered, shaking his head. "I was wondering though, do you know who this young girl is, or if she has any parents?" The older longnecks gasped when he pointed to Nahla with his tail, they had never seen such an underweight child. They just shook their heads in reply. "Oh..."

Littlefoot stared at Nahla "Is she...dead?" he asked looking up at his Grandparents "She looks dead". Littlefoot looked like he was about to be sick,the state of the newcomers upset his stomach.

Unknowning to the group another longneck was watching them,his eyes flicking to each of them in turn. He chuckled and slipped away through a bush,this way gonna be too easy.

"No," Taro assured him. "She's just about alive, but she is very weak. Poor little thing... she must be a runaway or something like that. I found her at the entrance just now, perhaps she was trying to get in here."
"I suppose so," said Grandpa. Taro noticed that Littlefoot looked very uneasy.
"I'll leave you alone and find a quiet spot to rest," he told them. "I think I've disturbed enough dinosaurs today." With that, he turned tail and walked off to a mostly deserted area.

Nahla began to wake,when she saw another dinosaur was carrying she screamed going into a panic attack.

Lily was shocked when Nahla started screaming. "WHOA!" she cried as she jumped and slid down Taro's tail. Taro turned to look at the other little one.
"Hey, hey!" he said, smiling at her. "It's all right. I'm here to help."

Nahla began to trash so the male longneck would put her down. There was a terrified look in her eyes as she screamed like she was being tortured.

"Taro, make her stop!" Lily yelled, also very close to crying. Nahla's screams reminded her too much of those days... those dreaded days...
Taro immediately set her down. "Shh, it's okay," he whispered, thinking that maybe the state he was in scared her. "I may be battered and scarred but I'm a nice guy, really." He always failed to gain anyone's trust when he said that, so he didn't even know why he was trying any more. He just sighed sadly instead. "I'm sorry," he said to both of the young ones.

Nahla's screams did not stop "Just kill me already! You hurt me now just end it " she screamed seeming to forget she was not in her old home and not with her abusers...err 'family'. 'Daddy stop hurting me I'M SORRY!" she screamed anyone else who never seen results of serve abuse would think she was mental.

Taro was confused. "I'm not your daddy," he said. "Nobody's going to hurt you here, I promise." He turned to Lily. "Go and get some treesweets or treestars. She needs something to eat." Lily reluctantly walked away. She hated going around places on her own, especially when she didn't know the place.

Nahla did not even seem aware Taro was there,to her she was in her old home and with her father,her screams echo through the valley "STOP IT STOP IT!".

(Oh guys I put up the bios on the character sheet,and Nahla I put in what happens to Nahla right now in her little bio thing cause what happens now affects her for the rest of the RP. Ram you need to read it :lol)
Zimba was staring at Nahla from a distance. His dark eyes not even blinking "How pathetic" he muttered wanting the girl scream and thrash around,he laughed when he saw what he saw,that child was gonna cut herself in a second.

Nahla kept screaming unknowingly get closer and closer to her inpending danger.

Grandma had heard the screams and went to see what the issue was. She was shocked to see the young pink girl screaming and Taro struggling to calm her down.
"What's going on? " she asked.
"She just flipped out!" Taro nearly shouted over the screams. Grandma went over to the little one and gasped when she saw what she was about to do.

Nahla thrashed even more and before anyone could react...slice. Nahla fell backwards on to a razor sharp rock, The sharp edges sliced her neck from the base of it to the start of her head,but luckily missing her throat. Nahla's screams of fear turned into screams of pain she tried to get off the rock only to slice open her leg. Blood poured from her wounds.
Littlefoot who had followed his Grandma stared in horror "Grandma she's hurt!" he cried "She bleeding! And badly!" Littlefoot hated seeing others hurt.

Lily came back with food and screamed at the sight, hiding behind Taro's leg.
"Oh no... we have to help her!"said Taro, grabbing the treeatars Lily had brought back.
"Would help if she trusted you," said Lily quietly.
"Thanks for the reminder," Taro answered. Grandma had already started cleaning the wounds herself, and had found some other leaves.
"I'll look after her for now," she said. " You two should get some rest."
"Oh, er... okay," Taro replied. He didn't want to stir up any more trouble so he just got up and left, Lily quickly following him.

Nahla's eyes were filled with terror,she tried to run away from Grandma. But she could not even stand. Her breathing was heavy in panic "Please don't hurt me anymore!" she screamed.

"Shh, nobody's going to hurt you here," said Grandma, nuzzling the little one gently. "You're safe here." Suddenly, Taro came out of the trees, carrying some soft treesweets.
"I got her these to eat," he said, placing them next to the older longneck.
"Oh, thank you-" But Taro had already walked out of earshot before she could finish her sentence.

Nahla leaned into Grandma's touch after quickly realizing it was a sign of affection. Her eyes felt heavy and she yawned drifting off into a peaceful sleep feeling relaxed and and calm for what must be the first time in her life., Her muscles relaxed. Least now it would be easier to treat her without her thrashing.

Grandma smiled and carried on with tending to the young one's wounds. Taro watched from behind the trees, sighing. It was one of those moments when he felt completely useless. Tears stinged his eyes, he hated being this way. If it weren't for Lily and one dream that he had, he probably wouldn't be in this world anymore.

"Littlefoot's still away!" Ducky moaned.
"Yeah! Where he is?" Petrie asked.
Spike looked to the longneck's resting place.
"Let's look there!" Ducky suggested.

Littlefoot by then had fled the scene he ran only to crash right into Spike sending both the ground "Sorry Spike" Littlefoot said rubbing his own head.
Nahla not even open an eye as Grandma treated her,she was fast asleep. Small snores escaped her throat.

Ducky rubbed her buttocks since she fell on it, but she had a smile in her face.
"Yay! Finally you're back, yep, yep, yep!" she giggled.
Spike licked Littlefoot and Petrie landed on his head.
(Fill in)"Great! Can we play now?" Cera asked impatently.

"Uhh...yeah" Littlefoot said looking over his shoulder "I'm sure she will be okay,lets play now" he only just realized they would not not who 'she' was.

Unknown the group Zimba was watching them. His eyes feasted on Littlefoot,in his tail he held a rock that looked like a knife. A murderous smile spread across his face-looking at Littlefoot the whole time.

Littlefoot looked up and noticed it was beginning to get dark "Oh whoops,looks like we can't play after all" he laughed and ran off.

Zimba smirked when he saw his 'prey' wander off. He waited till Littlefoot was past him then began to run after him. He tackled him to the ground. And took his knife rock out. With a laugh be began to stab the young child.
(Talked to Nahla over FB,she agreed on what shall happen and either Taro or Grandpa (since I presume Grandma will be busy with Nahla will come save him,and he lives btw but he is shaken up)

Littlefoot screamed and tried to break away. But the stabbing was too much for him and did not have the strength. He screamed out "HELP!" blood poured from everywhere "PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME! HE IS GONNA KILL ME HEEEEEEEEEELP!"

Suddenly a large body rammed into the side of Zimba, sending him well away from Littlefoot. Taro stood protectively in front of the little one.
"Leave... him... alone..." he snarled. He had seen this red boy before and heard of him, and he knew he was trouble. He growled with his breathing, almost sounding like a sharptooth.

Zimba just glared and fled dropping the now blood red rock,abandoning his severely injured victim.

Littlefoot moaned,looking very very faint. He had serve stab wounds,but mostly he was shaken up. He stared at Taro pure shock and terror in his eyes. His head fell to the side feeling weakened over the blood loss his mind faded black.

Taro quickly picked up Littlefoot and ran off into the trees; he knew better than to pick a fight in the state he was in currently in. He immediately started tending to his injuries when he got to the place they were sleeping at. Lily almost screamed when she saw Littlefoot covered in blood, but didn't say anything. She got some treestars to cover up the wounds, then buried her head in Taro's side as he did the rest.

Meanwhile Nahla was beginning to wake,she let out a whimper not remembering where she was. She turned her head and gasped when she saw Grandma next to her she lowered her head. She looked like she was preparing to be hit.
Littlefoot was still out,one thing wound looked like it might scar though there was a chance it would heal.

Grandma just nuzzled Nahla gently again, as her mate joined her from behind.
"Where's Littlefoot?" he asked.
"I thought he was with you?" Grandma answered. Grandpa just shook his head. "Oh dear... go and find him, will you? It's getting late."
"Of course," her mate smiled at her and the little one before turning around and venturing out to find his grandson, calling his name.
"Poor little thing," said Taro, inspecting the wound on Littlefoot he feared would scar. Lily was shaking from the sight. It reminded far too much of what had happened to her before, and she could barely bare it.

Nahla had gone into panic at the sight of Grandpa,she dove under Grandma shaking.
Littlefoot's breathing had steadied but he still showed no signs of consciousness.

Zimba had fled to the valley outskirts blood splattered on him. He was angry,he was soooo close to getting that kid. He stomped his foot heavily.
Cera meanwhile had heard Littlefoot's screams and was running. She may be bit snobby but she does care for Littlefoot she bumped into Grandpa "Grandpa Longneck...it's Littlefoot...someone is murdering him. I heard him screaming for help and shouting that they were gonna kill him! Now it all quiet and...I think he is dead I THINK HE HAS BEEN MURDERED!" Cera said in a rush.

"No..." Grandpa looked all around him, hoping to see someone or something, but there was nothing. Tears fell down his cheeks. He couldn't believe that his grandson was gone, there was just no way. He ran forward, searching the whole valley, almost screaming Littlefoot's name.

Nahla was looking at the tree-sweets Taro left their earlier,she really wanted them but was to afraid to grab them.

Zimba jumped in front of Grandpa "Oh...you know Littlefoot?" he said with his mudrerous smile "Last time I saw him,he was stabbed into pieces" he said cheerfully "And oh the blood...so much of it...he was brown right? Well he red now" Zimba was finding this so amusing. He nodded to the blood splattered on him "This belongs to him...maybe I'll give it back to him" he laughed.

Grandpa glared at Zimba, tears still falling from his eyes. "No... I don't believe you," he snarled, pushing past Zimba and carrying on with his search. Taro had heard his cries, but didn't want to move Littlefoot or leave him, and Lily was clinging to his back leg so he would also have to pretty much drag her around if he got up, since she would probably refuse to let go for a while now. He just hoped that the owner of the desperate voice with find them.

Littlefoot was covered in blood and he was freezing. But moving him suddenly could have severe consequences.
Nahla reached out her thin neck and grabbed a tree-sweets gobbling up like she never ate in her ate,she had it down in seconds. She looked over waiitng for a chance to grab another.

Grandma just watched Nahla and smiled at her, but her smile faded when she heard the cries of her mate. Something bad had happened; she knew that much.
Taro licked the blood clean off Littlefoot in the areas that didn't have treestars on them. He then grabbed a larger one and covered Littlefoot to keep him warm, before wrapping his neck and tail around him. Lily let go of his leg and lay down by his side, yawning. The bright circle had gone down, and it was time to rest for now. Taro would just have to find Littlefoot's family in the morning.

Nahla yawned and said her real first words that were not just screams "Where..I...sleep?" she had to struggle to get the words out as she was terrified catching sight of Grandpa.

"You can sleep right here, if you want," Grandma replied. Grandpa soon returned after seeing no sign of his grandson, and pretty much collapsed on the ground away from his wife and Nahla, since he knew she was afraid of him.
"Dear, what happened?" Grandma asked. He didn't reply, he just lay there weeping.
"Oh no..." she whispered. "Littlefoot..."

Nahla tilted her head "Why....you...sad?" she asked timidly "You..lose....something?"

Grandma pulled Nahla closer to her and cried. "Oh my poor little one," she sobbed. Grandpa wanted it desperately to be a dream, but it wasn't. This was his worst nightmare come true.
"Poor Littlefoot," he whispered.

Nahla was shaking "Who....Littlefoot....what...happen....him".
(Yes Nahla does not speak very well)

Petries Mum flew around in search for her son Petrie, who stayed out too long again.
Finally she found him walking with Ducky and Spike back to their nests.
She landed in front of them.
"Hey children! It's late! Go home quickly, please!" she told them.
"Ok, Mama Flyer!" Ducky answered. "Cmon Spike, hurry up!"
"You too, Petrie!" she told his son.
"Yes, Mama!" Petrie replied.
While flying home they heard the cries of Grandpa Longneck. "Me not understand what problem is! Littlefoot there!" he croaked.

Nahla lowered her head waiting for answer looking like she was ready to flee any second.

"That aren't his grandparents, thats for sure!" Petries mother worked out. "He seemed to be injured..."
"Yes, you right, Mama!" Petrie nodded.
"Fly home, Petrie, I'll take take of that!"
"Ok!"
Petries mother flew to Grandpa Longneck.
"I know, where your grandson is! He's lying at the newcomer's place and seemed to be injured!"

"H-he's alive...?" Grandpa stammered.
"Oh thank goodness he's not..." Grandma couldn't finish her sentence, but then turned to Nahla. "Littlefoot is our grandson. I suppose we'll have to find the newcomer and find out just what happened to him."
"I'll go," said Grandpa. "You stay here and look after the little one. Where is he?" he asked Mama Flyer, getting up.

Nahla yawned she could not stay awake any longer,she collapsed to the ground in a heap-fast asleep.

"Follow me! It's not far from here!" Petries mother explained.
-
Grandpa rushed after her, towards where the newcomer who apparently had Littlefoot was.
Grandma smiled at Nahla as she slept, hoping her grandson would also soon return to her side. She yawned, getting tired herself, but she wouldn't be able to rest until she knew her grandson was safe by her side.

Littlefoot was still out,but their were clear signs of life. He shivered and let out a painful moan.
Nahla seemed to be having horrible nightmares,she tossed and turned screaming in torture the whole time.

Grandma nudged Nahla to wake her up from the night scare. "Little one!"
Taro just nudged Littlefoot to see if he was awake, but soon backed off when he heard someone else coming, and Lily hid in the bushes, not wanting to be seen.

"Here he is!" Petries mother told Grandpa. "I'll fly home now...my little ones...!" she explained.
"Good Luck!"

Nahla jerked awake screaming,she panted sweating pouring down. She breathed heavily trying to calm down.
-
"Are you all right?" Grandma asked Nahla, nuzzling her gently.
Taro watched the flyer swoop past, then he came face to face with Grandpa Longneck, who was looking down in complete shock at Littlefoot.
"I take it you're this kid's... er, grandfather?" Taro questioned, unsure. Grandpa nodded.
"I saw a young longneck," he answered. "He said something about stabbing Littlefoot." Taro looked down at the little longneck, and came a little closer.
"He was very lucky, I'll give him that much," said Taro.
"I suppose moving him wouldn't be the best of ideas?" Grandpa asked.
"Probably not," Taro replied. Grandpa looked at the scarred face of the younger male, noticing some similarities between him and- he shrugged off the thought. He smiled.
"Thank you," he said. "I suppose it would be better for him to stay here tonight. I'll go and tell my wife."
"And then you're coming back?" asked Taro. Grandpa stopped... thinking. He studied the male, and then saw Lily who was clinging to his tail.
"Probably," he said. "But that doesn't mean I don't trust you. It's just in case of... well..." he looked at Littlefoot.
"Yeah," said Taro. "I don't really suppose any kid will want to wake up with a complete stranger next to him." Grandpa just nodded.
"I'll be right back," he said, walking off. "I think I can trust you to look after him for a little longer."

Nahla sniffed "They...hurt...me" she whispered,once again jumping back soon as Grandpa came into sight.

In the distance Zimba was watching Littlefoot gritting his teeth. His eyes flickered over to Taro then to Lily and then back to Littlefoot. He whipped his head and turned away. He'll be back and next time Littlefoot would not be so lucky.
Cera laid down by her fathers side shaking "They murdered Littlefoot..." she whispered.
Mr Threehorn mumbled something about "Grandma and Grandpa being completely unresponsible and they did not deserve to take care of a child,they enjoyed them themselves while their grandson died" he looked up and said more loudly "I mean what kind of parents or grandparents just relax while their child is being murdered".

"Where is he?" Grandma asked as Grandpa returned with nobody.
"He's safe," her mate answered. "We're not going to move him until he's awake, though, just in case."
"Oh?"
"I'm going to stay with him tonight," he explained. "I saw another longneck who claimed to have stabbed Littlefoot and he had some of his..." he stopped, remembering that there was another little one there. "Anyway, Taro and I need to-"
"Taro?" Grandma interrupted.
"The newcomer, remember?" Grandpa questioned.
"Oh yes..."
"Well, I'd better get back to him," he said, nuzzling his mate. "I'll see you later."
"Bye," said Grandma as Grandpa walked back to where Taro was.

Nahla finally came out of hiding after Grandpa left. She just appeared to be terrified of males well pretty much everyone really.

Grandma watched her, and sighed with relief. At least Littlefoot was alive. She had also heard what Mr Threehorn had said out loud, and she wasn't too impressed with his words. She was going to have some words with him in the morning.

The Next Day?
Littlefoot awoke with a gasp of pain,real pain. He turned his head from side to side but not moving anything else,that just hurt too much.
-
"Good morning," said Taro, coming through the trees with his mouth full of treestars. Lily was following behind him, hiding behind one of his hind legs. Grandpa was still sleeping next to Littlefoot, his worry and searching high and low in the Great Valley having tired him out a lot.
"I got these for you," said Taro, dropping the treestars by Littlefoot. "Your grandpa told me you liked them." He smiled and walked to the other side of the clearing they were in, getting some food for himself, Lily still hiding behind him.

Littlefoot started chewing on the treestars only to begin to choke. He appeared to be in some paralysed state,luckily it did not appear to be permanent.
Nahla was fast asleep,she had snuck up and cuddled on Grandma's back when the old female leg asleep.

Grandpa finally woke up after hearing the chokes. "Littlefoot!"
Taro ran back and gently patted the back of Littlefoot's head with his tail to stop him from choking. "Maybe not for now then," he muttered, inspecting Littlefoot. "Ahh.... this isn't very good..."

Littlefoot got the food down and looked around frantic "Grandma? Grandpa!". He caught sight of and tried to rush over to him,still remembering the night before. Sadly he could not move his body.

"I'm here, Littlefoot," said Grandpa, nuzzling his grandson. "Er... how are you feeling?"
Taro just carried on looking at Littlefoot, making sure none of his wounds were dirty.

"Ok.." Littlefoot answered "I mean...I can't fill anything so I'm not hurting" he looked around to look his wounds "Where did these come from..I don't feel them"
(Uh oh)

Grandpa looked at his grandson with deep concern.
"It'll be like that for a while," Taro explained. "You were attacked by an adolescent longneck last night, and I'm guessing he hit you in quite a bad spot somewhere which means you'll be numbed up for a bit. Still, it'll pass..."

Littlefoot covered his face with his legs "I wanna go home" he sobbed.
(Fill in for Zimmy cause she a lazy bum and sleeping in).
Zimba stepped in front Littlefoot "Well your not,only place your going is your grave" he laughed and bought is foot down on Littlefoot's back now leaving him completely paralyzed "UGH DIE!" he screamed raising his foot just wanting to crush his head.
(No worry Littlefoot gets over it and recovers. Just bringing some of my fic into here)

Taro immediately pushed Zimba out of the way, making him crash into the trees.
"I said LEAVE HIM ALONE!!" he yelled, growling with each breath. Grandpa stood protectively in front of Littlefoot, snarling at Zimba. Lily hid in the bushes, shivering.
Meanwhile Grandma woke up, having no idea of the terror going on nearby.

Zimba snarled and walk off,being wiser then fully taking on 2 adult longnecks. "I'll kill Littlefoot" he vowed to them as he walked off "So I suggest you keep an eye on him" with that he was out of sight.
Littlefoot just laid there with slow breathing,no movement,no signs of pain..nothing. It was like he was just frozen there.
Nahla was still asleep-on Grandma's back. She was planning to jump off before Grandma awoke but looks like she slept in too late for that plan.

Grandma remembered what had woken her up. She heard yells coming from nearby. However, she didn't want to risk Nahla falling off her back when she stood up, so it seemed she was stuck for now.
Grandpa looked back at his grandson, panicking. Taro just cursed under his breath. Lily still hid amongst the bushes.
"He needs to stay put," Taro said. "He seems completely paralysed." Grandpa gasped, not wanting to believe him, but he nodded in agreement, looking extremely upset.

Nahla awoke with a yawn and stood up. Gasping when she saw Grandma was already awake and jumped down and ran into a bush to hide.
Littlefoot whispered something sounding like "I want Grandma"

"Grandma?" Grandpa questioned, trying to make out Littlefoot's words.
"I'll get her," said Taro.
"You don't even know where she is... do you?" Grandpa asked. Taro stood in thought for a moment.
"Good point," he said eventually. "You get her." Grandpa just gave him a strange look and walked off.
"Huh?" Grandma yawned. "Now what are you up to?" she asked Nahla. She got up and walked over to the bush she was hiding in.

Nahla just whimpered and backed up further thinking Grandma would be mad at her.
"GRANPDA!" Littlefoot called starting to pnaic "GRANDPA!'

Taro groaned. "Why do all kids hate me...?" Lily went up to Littlefoot.
"Don't worry," she said. "He'll be back soon. He's gone to get your..." she trailed off, shuddering.
Grandma just chuckled when she saw Nahla, but her smile faded when she heard cries. She seemed a little shocked when her mate came through the trees, out of breath from running.
"Littlefoot.... in trouble... needs... you..." he panted. Grandma gasped and grabbed Nahla before following her mate to where Littlefoot was.

Nahla gasped when she saw what was there. She tensed up and began panting in fear.
Littlefoot just closed his eyes with a light sigh.

"LITTLEFOOT!" Grandma exclaimed in panic when she saw her grandson. She set Nahla down next to Lily, who backed off in fear, and went up to Littlefoot, tears in her eyes when she saw the state he was in. Taro just stayed as far away from Nahla as he could, remembering what happened last time.

Nahla glanced at Lily shaking "Please don't hurt me" she whispered.
Littlefoot opened his eyes "Grandma?".
-
"I won't," Lily whispered back. "How could I, anyway?"
"I'm here, little one," Grandma whispered, wrapping her tail and neck around him.

Nahla gulped "My family hurt me...how do I know you's are not the same? You's might hurt me".
Littlefoot stared into the distance,not feeling anything. But he did see his Grandma was with him,that was good enough for him.
-
"Because I know what it's like to be like you," Lily answered, staring straight ahead of her. "If it weren't for Taro, I would have killed myself by now, but he showed me a better way of living."
Grandma just gently rubbed her head against her grandson's body, tears dripping onto him.

Nahla stared at her "You were abused?" she hang her head "So was I,all my life..In the end they threw me off a cliff".
Littlefoot suddenly started sobbing "I want to go home,this place is scaring me" he said looking around at shadows he kept thinking they were his attacker.
-
"I... I had to watch someone kill my whole family in front of me... and I probably could have saved one of them... but it's too late for that now," Lily sighed. "I was about to throw myself off a cliff when Taro found me."
"All right," said Grandma. Grandpa very carefully picked Littlefoot up and placed him on his grandmother's head. She turned to Taro.
"Thank you ever so much," she said. Taro just nodded, not looking at her.

Nahla leaned forward and nuzzled Lily before pulling back "I'm sorry to hear that....oh my name is Nahla by the way".
Littlefoot closed his eyes "Grandma? Grandpa? What wrong with me? Everyone seems really worried".

"Lily," said Lily plainly.
"Whatever happened, I just hope it's better soon," said Grandma.
"Taro thinks you're paralysed," Grandpa said to Littlefoot, answering the question.
"And you believe him?" Grandma questioned.
"He's a traveller," Grandpa explained. "And he told me he's seen that young longneck before, so yes, I believe him. I'll ask him to stop by later and see if it's any better."
"You know, just because he reminds you of-" Grandma cut herself off and shook her head, shrugging off the thoughts. "Okay, then."

"Whats para....para...para...." he suddenly stopped talking and closed his eyes not having any energy,even though he slept for hours,what ever Zimba done to him,it did not look good.
Zimba suddenly jumped out in front of the old longnecks "Is Littlefoot dead?" he asked hopefully.
Nahla closed her eyes and sighed before whispering to Lily "Do you know where I can find a cliff...or some poisonous food? I...can't live anymore"

Grandpa just stood in front of his wife and Littlefoot and snarled at Zimba.
"How do you know his name?" Grandpa counter-asked. Grandma realised that this was the one who had tried to kill Littlefoot and she backed off, looking very angry.
"That's what I thought when it all happened," said Lily. "So no, I'm not saying anything. Getting through it after a while is the hardest part, but once you realise that there's much more to life, there's so much to live for..." Taro watched them, but then he heard something that sounded like trouble. His fears were confirmed when he saw Zimba with Grandpa and Grandma Longneck.
"I'll be back in a moment," he said to Lily. "Something's up." And with that, he rushed the old longnecks' side.

Zimba laughed "Been watching him for a while,he needs to die. Though I guess him being paralyzed will do...you'll just kill him yourselves cause he'll be completely useless not even being able to move let alone stand up and walk...hey why don't you just end his misery? If you pass him over here,I'll kindly..how do they say it...'put him to sleep' ends his misery and everyone elses" he laughed.
Nahla shook her head "I got NOTHING to live for,no one even cares for me. Theres nothing to life but suffer,suffer,suffer. I can't take it anymore!" she screamed.

"How dare you?!" Grandma cried. Taro just glared at Zimba, desperately wanting to give him a hard slap in the face. Grandma backed off to where Lily and Nahla were, knowing what the two adult males wanted to do. She didn't want Littlefoot seeing a huge fight.
"Are you sure about that?" Lily asked, shuddering as Grandma came back through the trees. She gestured towards the old female, who was pacing back and forth in panic. "What about her?"

Nahla shook her head "No,I'm done with this life...goodbye" she got up and ran off.
Zimba glared at them "Whats your problem? I offered to do you a favor"

"Hey, Nahla! Wait!" Lily yelled, following her.
"Little ones!" Grandma called, but they had run into thick foliage where she couldn't follow them.
"A favour?!" Taro scoffed. "You're mad, you are, and that's putting it lightly!"
-
Nahla stopped running and looked over at Lily "WHAT?!!" she screamed "Just leave me alone,I don't want to be talked out of it".
Zimba shrugged "So you'll rather Littlefoot die slowly? I completely paralyzed him he won't be recovering for a while" he laughed.

Lily, being bigger and faster than Nahla, ran in front of her, blocking her path.
"I don't want anyone else to end up like me," she said. "I cut myself, tried to eat poison food, and almost jumped off into a canyon once, but then... he saved my life... the one that nobody trusts... the one that everybody hates... he's the most kind and gentle longneck I have ever met and we helped each other, and I know someone like him can do the same for you... well, it could be him, he'd be more than happy to, but I think we both have someone else in mind."

"In that case I will stay by his side until he does," said Grandpa. "I won't let anybody kill him."

The younger longneck threw herself to the ground "I heard theres a 'better place' when we die...I want to go there. I just wish I could fall asleep and never wake up again..." she stopped talking breathing heavily starting to go into a panic attack.
Zimba stomped his foot "He dies tonight" he vowed and left.

"Well... I heard that life is like a big test," said Lily. "We are all face with different challenges, some more harsh than others. The more challenges we get through, the bigger the reward at the end."

"Not if I can help it," Taro mumbled. He turned to Grandpa. "I don't suppose you want ol' Scarface here to watch the nest tonight?"
"But... won't you be tired?" Grandpa asked.
"Well, I can take a nap now and see what happens," Taro answered. "I don't usually sleep too good during the night, anyway." Grandpa just stood, thinking.
"I'll ask my mate," he said. Taro nodded, and the two walked back to Grandma.

Littlefoot opened his eyes a blank look on his face.
Nahla did not seem to hear here,she was too busy shaking. Her breathing getting heavy.

Grandma just nuzzled Littlefoot lovingly, and looked around, hoping to catch sight of Lily or Nahla.

"Okay, okay, lay down, you're getting all shaky," said Lily. She sighed, now she knew how Taro felt when he found her.

Nahla closed her eyes whimpering,last time this happened she ending up cutting herself and they were in thick bush,being young and pretty small for age there was a lot of things that could go wrong here.
"Hungry" Littlefoot whispered suddenly.

"Hey, listen," Lily whispered. "You need to calm down a bit. We need to get out of here."
Grandma got some soft treesweets that Littlelfoot could easily eat. "Here, little one," she said, putting them right next to his mouth. Grandpa and Taro returned, and Taro immediately tried to get some sleep. Grandma watched him, confused, and turned to her mate for answers.
"That young one threatened to come back tonight to kill Littlefoot," he explained. Her reaction was quite understandable. "Taro's going to guard the resting place."
"Oh... okay," said Grandma, looking down at Littlefoot.

Littlefoot slowly ate freezing when he heard that longneck was still coming for him.
Nahla nodded and stood up taking deep breaths to calm herself. She was still shaky however as she slowly walked back.

Neither of the older longnecks noticed Littlefoot; they were just staring at each other with concern.
Lily sighed with relief as she followed Nahla back. She didn't quite know how Taro coped with her when she acted like that.
-
Nahla collapsed to the ground after she got out of the bush. She closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep. She was always tired after she has a panic attack.
"Grandma...Grandpa why can't I feel my body?" Littlefoot asked scared.
-
Lily put Nahla on her back and carried back to the middle of the clearing.
"It won't be for long, little one," said Grandma. "That longneck did something and it must have just caused most of your body to shut down... but you'll recover." She nuzzled him.
Grandpa noticed Lily coming in. "Whoa, what happened?" he asked. Lily just groaned and let Nahla slide of next to Grandma before collapsing next to Taro.

"He knows we here...he will come back...and kill me" Littlefoot said.
Nahla who was awaken when she slid off raised her head and whispered shyly "Why...don't..you move somewhere...else...for...a...few nights? I know that longneck....his name is Zimba...he kidnapped me once.he will kill Littlefoot,he has his ways...and this paralyzing can last for days and when he can move again Littlefoot will be so stiffed up and weak...his heart will...shut down...you got to keep moving him...least once an hour..." Nahla closed her eyes again thinking they would be mad she tried to tell them what they should do.

Taro had heard, having not fallen asleep yet. "Actually, that's not a bad idea," he said to the moving for a few nights part.
"Whoa, whoa! Hold on!" said Grandma. "You think we should just leave the Great Valley and go somewhere else?"
"It's the safest option," said Taro. "That Zimba kid thinks we're going to be here, but what if we're not? We can't tell anyone, but we will have to leave now. Lily and I just came from a place not too far away, we could go there."
Grandma and Grandpa just looked at each other, and then looked at Littlefoot to see if he had an opinion on the idea.

Littlefoot just stared into the distance blankly,he did not even seem to hear them.
-
Grandma sighed, and looked at Taro.
"Right, where are we going then?" she asked. He smiled and got up, lowering his head to let Lily climb on. Grandpa picked up Nahla and placed her on Grandma's back and she picked up Littlefoot, moving him around slightly before placing him on her mate.
"Lead the way," said Grandpa. Taro nodded and the the group walked out of the Great Valley through a secret route which was hidden by many trees, heading to another land of not so lush green which would take until the middle of the night to get to.

Littlefoot jerked just realizing they were moving "Where we going?" he whispred
-
"A safer place," Grandpa explained as the three rushed out of the valley. "We're not going to take any risks with this Zimba guy."

"Who?' Littlefoot questioned.
-
"The one who's been trying to kill you," Taro explained, earning a glare of Grandma.
-
Littlefoot whimpered in fear.
Nahla opened one eye and saw she was being carried again. She opned her mouth to scream only to bash into a branch sticking out from the side.
-
Grandma looked behind her, and smiled at Nahla. "Are you okay, little one?" she asked.
-
Nahla nodded "W-w-here we going anyway?" she whispered "Is it too far away? Wil there be others there? Will they kill me? Will they find out who I am? Will that find out where I'm from?" she fired questions at the adults.
-
"No," Grandma answered. "They won't know a thing about you, little one... Wait... I still haven't asked you your name yet. What is it?"
-
"My name is Nahla...I'm from The Shadowlands...I was abused my whole life..then my father tried to kill me and threw me off a cliff...they want me dead,my own family does not even love me......I'M WORTHLESS" she shouted the whole thing forgetting it was just not her and Grandma there.

Taro and Grandpa looked at the little one sympathetically, but neither spoke in fear of making Nahla go into a panic attack.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, Nahla," said Grandma nuzzling the little one gently.

Littlefoot by then had dozed off snoring.
Nahla frowned at him "Oh great...a snorer" she turned her back and face the other way only to end up looking Lily in the face.
-
Lily was quite startled to have someone in her face. "Er... hi?"
-
"Sorry" Nahla muttered turning again so she was facing backwards,letting out a sigh of boredom.
-
"It's... okay," Lily sighed. She tried to get back to sleep as Taro led the way to their new temporary home.

Nahla sighed and sang softly "Where has the starlight gone?,Dark is the day,How can I find my way home? 'Home' is an empty dream.Lost to the night...I feel so alone,my life is just an Endless Night..dark and gloom" tears formed in her eyes,both Lily and Littlefoot had someone to love them...she had no one.

Meanwhile back in the valley Cera was running around looking for her friends "PETRIE! DUCKY! SPIKE!" she screamed.
Zimba was sleeping in a cave,unaware his targets had left. A smile was on his face. He still planned to kill Littlefoot tonight...but he was not gonna be here...tear.

Everyone listened to Nahla's song, looking at her sadly.
"We're almost there," Taro announced, seeing a line of hills in the distance. Grandma and Grandpa were sure they had seen that before somewhere, but they didn't know it was this close to the Great Valley.
-
Littlefoot was fast asleep for the night,it was late and he was very young. He breathed softly signs of a peaceful sleep.
Nahla had also dozed off,she was youngest of the small herd. She curled up to try and keep herself warm in the cold night air.
-
The adults carried on walking towards the hills and climbed over them. Grandma and Grandpa gasped when they overlooked the land. This used to be their old home from many years ago.

Nahla shifted in her sleep shivering,she was freezing with hardly anything on her body to keep herself warm naturally.
-
Taro found some large treestars to cover the young ones for now as they ventured further. Every single sight brought old memories back to the old longnecks, both good and bad. They soon walked passed a canyon, and Grandma had to force her eyes shut, but the memory still came back to her. The sharptooth... the little one she couldn't save... falling down the steep wall... she just couldn't reach his motionless body...
"Hey, are you okay?" Taro asked, noticing that tears were flooding from the old female's eyes. She just nodded, and then looked at him. Everything, even the scar, was familiar to her, his reddish-brown eyes were softly watching her with concern.
"It's just... this place..." she sighed. Her mate nuzzled her gently, knowing exactly how she felt. This was the last place they saw their son before they lost him.
"Yeah... I hate it here too," Taro admitted. "Especially since-" he cut himself of, shaking his head, and smiled at the older longnecks. "Nevermind."

Another female longneck heard voices and raised her head wondering what awoke her. She saw some distant figures of 3 adult longnecks and what might be 3 little ones. Jenna closed her eyes thinking of HER little one "Oh Littlefoot,I'll find you again some day I promise" with that she went back to sleep planning to check out the newcomers when it lighter.

The others went away from the canyon and found somewhere to sleep. They soon found a spot that they knew well.
"We used to sleep here," said Grandma. "Many years ago now..." Taro stared at her.
"Really?" he asked. "That's funny. So did I, when I was a kid. Back when..."
"Back when what?" Grandpa asked curiously. Taro sighed in defeat and lay down, while Lily slid off him, snuggled next to him and closed her eyes.
"Can I tell you something?" Taro asked the old ones. They just nodded in reply. "I haven't spoken to anyone about this in a good while. It all started here, my birthplace. I had a great family, my parents, grandparents and my older sister, and every day I could just do anything I wanted. But soon that all changed... I was up by that big ditch back there, when a big sharptooth attacked me. That's where I got most of these scars from. My sister tried to save me, and eventually my parents came to fight off the sharptooth, but I couldn't move out of the way in time. My parents pushed the sharptooth into the big ditch but it's tail pulled me down with it and I fell part of the way down... When I woke up fast biters were there looking after me. They helped me recover, but then I also found out that my herd, including my family, had left. They must have been devastated. I haven't seen them since. They must have thought that I was dead..."
He looked down to the ground, not noticing Grandma and Grandpa's reaction to his story. Grandma's breathing was shaky and heavy, both of them were staring at Taro with utter disbelief.
"Oh... my... goodness..." Grandpa whispered. Taro looked up at them. He knew the faces were familiar but until now he had tried not to give it much thought. But now, as he stared into their faces... even though they had aged... he knew exactly who they were.
"...Mum? Dad...?"

Littlefoot awoke from all the noise his eyes still blank "Grandma...where are we?" he whispered.
-
"Home," she whispered, looking at Taro, completely overwhelmed. "He's home..." Taro ran up to the family and embraced them, tears of happiness falling down his face, before seeing Littlefoot.
"Is he..." he questioned, looking at his new-found parents. "Is he her son? Or did you-?"
"No," Grandma shook her head. "He's Jenna's." Taro beamed down at Littlefoot; he had a nephew, but then he realised that someone was missing.
"Where is she?" he asked. Nobody answered, instead looking down to the ground quietly. "No..."

"Mother died...and it was my fault" Littlefoot whispered.

"I'm sure it wasn't," said Taro, looking down at his nephew. "She was always a protective one, my sister..."
"Right until the end," Grandpa agreed. The two glanced at each other and smiled weakly.

Littlefoot sobbed "But if I just stayed at home...the sharptooth would not of found me and mother would not of had to fight and then she would not of to die in front of me" he starting sobbing wildly,but not moving due to that....beep beep Zimba paralyzing him.

Taro went over and lay next to Littlefoot. "You know, I felt the exact same way when... well... you know..." he glanced over to his parents who looked away in pain, and he sighed. "I also almost got one of my best friends killed once, I lead him right into a big sharptooth's nest... I don't think I would ever forgive myself for that. And your mother... she risked her own life to try and save mine... it was my fault that everything that happened on that day happened... and all because I was too curious."

Littlefoot stopped sobbing "She was brave...like you are. Like when you protected be from Zim...Zim...Zimba. Thanks Uncle Taro I love you".

Taro chuckled and nuzzled Littlefoot. "Yes... she was a brave longneck, and I know just where that bravery comes from." He grinned at Grandma and Grandpa, who smiled back, looking extremely tired from the journey and the reunion.

With that in mind Littlefoot fell back to sleep. However nothing could prepared him for what he would find out tomorrow.

"I think you two should go to sleep, too," Taro suggested.
"Yeah..." said Grandma. She looked up at Taro. "It's good to have you back." She nuzzled him before resting her head.
"Likewise," said Taro. His father nodded and smiled at him before settling down next to his mate, still overwhelmed that he had found his son. Taro just wrapped his neck and tail around Lily, who was snoring softly, and managed to easily fall asleep for once.

Meanwhile Zimba awoke with a jolt and realized it was morning,he didn't get to kill Littlefoot. "Fine,he can have one more day but tonight he dies". He had no clue that the longnecks had left.
Jenna also awoke and was starting to walk to the newcomers "Hello" she called as she got closer "My name is Jenna..." she stopped when she saw who was in front of her "Mum....dad?" she asked is disbeliefl.

Grandma had just woken up and her eyes widened in total shock when she saw the longneck in front of her.
"Okay, now I must be having a sleep story," she whispered in disbelief.

"Your not...it's really me" Jenna whispered her eyes drifting around the group "Taro?" she asked in shocked "But...your dead" she added.
-
"Jenna!" both of parents yelled, running up and embracing their daughter. Taro chuckled.
"Looks like I came back from the dead, then," he said, smiling as he walked up to his sister. "I thought you were supposed to be dead?" he added.

Jenna hugged her parents "I thought I would never see you's again". She turned to her brother "So everyone thinks,thats why I am here alone...searching for my son...speaking of which...where is he?" she asked not noticing Littlefoot due to him being covered in his blanket like tree-star.

"Oh, just under that treestar," said Taro. He went and pulled the treestar off, revealing Nahla. "Whoops... that's not him." He pulled pulled another treestar off another lump, revealing Littlefoot. "That's the one," Taro chuckled. However, Grandma and Grandpa looked very uneasy.

Jenna did not seem to notice Nahla she was to busy staring at her son "LITTLEFOOT!" she shoured rushing over to him only to step back in horror when she saw his state "Whats wrong with him? His body seems so locked up" she commented.

Grandma and Grandpa stayed silent, both looking as if they were about to cry. Taro sighed.
"It's not your fault," he assured them before turning to his sister. "Look, someone came into the Great Valley... I'm not entirely sure who he is but he's dangerous and he... he attacked Littlefoot." Grandma just started sobbing in the distance.

Jenna's face darkened "WHO DID THIS?!!" she screamed her question "I'LL KILL THEM!". She took a deep breath lowered her head to Littlefoot "Littlefoot? Please answer me" she whispered nudging him hard sobbing. Givng up with a sigh "He is dead isn't he?" she asked not realizing he was just paralyzed and could not feel her nudges to wake up,tears poured down her eyes pleading to be told her son was alright.

Littlefoot could not hear his mother,he was still deeply asleep due to being woken very late last night. He also could not feel his mother desperate tries to wake him,this paralyzed thing has hit him hard. At least he was gonna recover physically. However he might never get over it emotionally.
Nahla began to stir,opening her eyes and yawning. She blinked trying to figure out where she was this time.

Grandma and Grandpa backed off slightly, not expecting that sort of behaviour from their daughter. Taro was also a little shocked by this, but he stepped forward.
"Sis, he's not dead," he assured her. "He's been paralysed. .. he can't feel you touching him... we were up late last night, so we'll just have to wait until he wakes up."
"There was a newcomer in the valley," Grandpa explained. "Yesterday he threatened to kill him so we came here to escape, and we won't be going back for a few days."

"How was he paralyzed exactly ?" Jenna asked more softly laying down next him "And sorry I shouted it just Littlefoot means so much to me..I can't bare the thought someone purposely hurt him" she wrapped her tail around her son to keep him warm.

"That kid, he..." Taro sighed, hesitating slightly. "He tried crushing Littlefoot's back."
"If it weren't for Taro, he probably would be dead," Grandpa sadly admitted. Grandma just buried her head into her mate's side, feeling like a complete failure.

Jenna rubbed her head along Littlefoot's back stopping in the middle "I can feel where the damage is" she nodded towards the spot "If you feel here,he does indeed have damage to his spine.." she sighed sadly,she wanted to find her son but...not like this.

Taro nodded and sighed.
"I'm so sorry about this," he said, sadly looking down at Littlefoot.

"I'm sure it wasn't your fault" Jenna replied sobbing "In fact from what I heard so far you saved his life,besides Littlefoot is tough..he is a fighter. He'll pull through.." she said trying to comfort everyone when she really she was not sure herself "He...just has to...".

"Well, he did manage to make it to the Great Valley with just a few other little ones with him, in a world full of dangers," Grandpa admitted. "I'm sure he'll make it."
"Yeah, he will," Taro agreed. "He's got you as his mother, after all."

Jenna smiled licking Littlefoot gently putting his 'blanket' back on "Poor thing is exhausted" she said looking around seeing Nahla. Her face showed disgust at her condition "Who...is that?" she asked staring at the pink child she looked at Taro "Yours?".

Taro shook his head. "No. I found her at the entrance to the Great Valley a few days ago and brought her in. From what I heard, she's from the Shadowlands, and was abused her whole life by her family before eventually she was thrown off a cliff. She just about survived and made it to the Great Valley."
"Since then she's been tagging along with us," Grandma finished for him.

Nahla stepped back i panic taking deep breaths,shaking showing all signs of one of her panic attacks.

"Oh my..." Grandma sighed, rushing up to the little one and nuzzling her. "Shh, it's all right."
Taro just watched them with sympathy. He wanted to help but he knew Nahla probably wouldn't like that.

Jenna took a step back "Is she ok?"

"She should be," said Lily, who had woken up.
"It happens quite a lot," Grandma agreed. Lily just shivered again and went to lay down next to Taro.

Nahla gasped for breath as she eyed Jenna in complete fear.
Moaning could be heard from the spot where Littlefoot was sleeping,he opened his eyes,yawning. It was now midday and only know Littlefoot was waking up.

Jenna gasped noticing Littlefoot awake she wanted to run over him but just looked at Taro and Grandpa "You might wanna go over there and get him a calm state...I have a feeling this wil cause him quite a shock" she whispered.

Taro nodded and the males walked up to Littlefoot.
"Hello there, sleepy head," Grandpa chuckled.
"How are you feeling today, Littlefoot?" Taro asked.

Littlefoot stared ahead "Tired" he complained closing his eyes again.
-
"Yeah... me too, actually," said Taro.
"Last night was a long one," said Grandpa. "Especially with..." He looked over to his son and smiled. "Well, you know."
"Erm, actually Littlefoot..." Taro said hesitantly. "There's someone else who wants to see you too."

"Who?" he asked back to being half asleep.

"Someone we all thought to be dead," said Taro, grinning. "You're in for a shock, kid."

The next morning Ducky, Petrie, Cera and Spike met at their usual meeting point.
"Me haven't seen any longneck!" Petrie told.
"Maybe they hide from Toppsy, hehehe!" Ducky guessed and chuckled.
Cera pressed her against the ground:" DON'T CALL MY DAD TOPPSY!!!"
Since Ducky hardly could breathe she didn't respond to Cera, who waited until the little Swimmer agreed.

Littlefoot opened one eye "Fine" he tried to stand forgetting he couldn't move at all.
Nahla who was hiding behind a rock with her head poked out said "Stop him....that can cause more damage".

Spike tried to free Ducky from Cera, but the mad Threehorn didn't want to yield.
Spike got very angry. He took a deeply breath and screamed loudly:" TOPPSY!!!"
Cera pressed Ducky even harder until she heard Spike.
For some reason she suddenly started to laugh loudly.
The others joined the laughter...even Ducky although she was in some pain.

Jenna stepped forward "Calm down my son it's me..." however no one could of expected what would of happened next.

Littlefoot's mouth dropped at the sound of that voice "Mother?" he whispered his eyes flicking and catching sight of her "MOTHER!" he screamed. Then it all went downhill,memories flashed through Littlefoot's head,his breathing became heavy,he thought she was dead..but here she was. He kept on his struggles to stand. Ignoring Nahla's pleas to stop,slowly doing more damage. His body dropped to the ground the front of him landing on sharp rocks-slicing the front of him open,blood poured down. Littlefoot not feeling the would of been extreme pain,he tried one last time to stand and rush to his mother side only to just fall again and lay motionless,breathing could not be seen as he grew cold and his eyes slipped close.
(Zimmy's idea she wants to put Littlefoot into that 'death' coma thing again for her idea,we must obey her...poor family they thought it was gonna be a happy ending and now Littlefoot has 'died'....but he a alive but they not meant to know shhhh)

"NO!" Taro screamed, rushing forward but he was too late to stop the horror unfolding before his eyes.
"This can't happen now... It just can't!" Grandma cried, running up to the rest of the family, her vision blurred by tears. She was lucky they did.

Littlefoot laid 'dead' on the ground,blood forming around his body. There was not one life sign that could be seen or heard ...not one.
-
Taro tried desperately to find something, anything, but there was nothing. He lay back in defeat, not wanting to believe that his nephew was dead.
Lily clung onto Taro, not wanting to see what had happened in front of her. Taro had been so overwhelmed about finding his family again that he had almost forgotten that he his own little one to look after. He nuzzled the weeping child gently.

Jenna screamed "NO! NO!' she threw herself next to the body "Please tell me he is alive PLEASE" she turned to Grandma and Grandpa begging "Please tell me he is alright" she put her ear on his chest "HE'S NOT BREATHING" she screamed she starting using her tail and bashing the rocks that killed Littlefoot in anger ignoring the fact they were cutting it tears poured down her face.

Lily glanced around and saw what Jenna was doing, and she started crying loudly, Taro trying helplessly to comfort her.
"Jenna, stop it!" Grandpa yelled, horrified to see she was injuring herself and not wanting the other little ones to see. "This isn't helping matters."

Jenna pulled back her tail "Tell me Littlefoot is alright" she demanded like she needed someone to confirm and she was hoping she was just imagining her sons death.
-
The three adult longnecks said nothing, but it was clear from the expressions that it wasn't good news. Lily looked up at Jenna, clear fear in her eyes.

"WELL?!!" Jenna screamed panting,you could tell in her eyes she was blaming this on herself.
-
"Jenna, I..." Grandpa sighed, not quite sure how to put this into words. "I-I'm sorry..."
-
":You saying my son is......" she trailed
(Nahla come back in shortly,maybe Grandma can bring Nahla over to Jenna as a little 'comfort' thing)

Again there was no reply. Lily kept looking at Jenna, but now there was sympathy in her eyes. She knew all too well what it was like to lose a loved one.

Nahla had been hiding behind a rock shivering "He...he....gone to the better place" she declared before pulling her head back behind the rock.

Grandma looked back at the rock Nahla was hiding behind, and sighed. She thought this couldn't happen to her again, but it did. She had lost another little one too soon.

Jenna not giving up began to pound Litttlefoot's chest trying to get him breathing with no luck,she looked at the other adults 'Aren't you gonna help him?!! I am NOT losing him,he is too young" she closed her eyes wishing this was a bad sleep story.

"Jenna... it... it's too late," Grandpa said gravely, looking down hopelessly at Littlefoot.
Lily just lay there next to Taro, looking at the motionless body with tears flowing from her eyes. It was too much of sad reminder of why she was here.
"I'm sorry," she said quietly, but she seemed to say it to nobody in particular.

Nahla laid behind the rock sobbing,no would care about her and come over so she let her tears fall "It's not fair! How come he died? I was the one who wanted to die! Why can't I fall a rock and end my life? I want to die" she said in what she thought was whisper but which came out a scream.

"There's nothing you can do about it, little one," said Grandma. "And if I have to face one more death..." she couldn't finish her sentence, instead just sobbing harder, more hurt by what Nahla had just said..
"You can't just say things like that," Lily said to Nahla. "Don't you already know how upset they are? If you ask for death they're going to just not listen because as far as they're concerned it's completely wrong! I know because I've done it... and I nearly lost my only good friend by doing so. You need to stop this, you're just hurting them even more than they can bare... please..."

Jenna who was hugging Littlefoot's body raised her head at Nahla's words "Little one...listen maybe I-" she cut herself off seeing what Nahla was about to do.
(Cue Nahla again)

Nahla was running fast as her weak legs carry her she was running right towards the rocks that took Littlefoot's life ignoring what Lily said.

"However, where's Littlefoot now?" Cera shouted.
"Me not know!" Petrie sighed.
"I'm too busied with being in pain!" Ducky shouted at Cera.

"NO!" Lily screamed, pressing her eyes shut. She did not want to see this.
Grandma saw what Nahla was doing and pulled her back by her tail with her mouth.
"Don't even think about it," she said softly, looking down at the little one sadly.

"I got nothing to live for! No friends,no family no home,nothing! My parents told me to die,so I'll grant their wish" Nahal sobbed heavily.
-
Grandma kept a firm grip on Nahla while Lily went up to her, sighing.
"It's just not worth it," she sighed. "You have no idea what the consequences could be for doing that."
-
"Hey! I always told you not to call my dad Toppsy, but you doesn't stop calling him so!" Cera argued," The same for you, Spike! Don't call him Toppsy again!"
Spike nodded abashed.
"But you don't had to be so violent, yep, yep, yep!" Ducky yelled at Cera.

Nahla sighed "But no one loves me.." she screamed.
(Grandma can suggest Jenna to adopt Miss Nahla Marshmallow,Zimmy on stalking us)

"I disagree with that," said Grandma. She looked over at her daughter, thinking.

Nahla laid down "Who is there then?" she glanced at Littlefoot's body but had to look away before she was sick.

"You can stop fighting please?" Petrie suggested.
All agreed.
"Yep, yep, yep, I wanna know, where Littlefoot is, yes I want!" Ducky said nervously hopping from one feet to another.
"Me wanna know that!" Petrie shouted angrily," He maybe have advanture without his friends!!!"
"Let's comb through the Valley!" Cera suggested.

"Me," said Lily, walking up to her.
"And me," said Taro. "Even if you did scream in my face," he chuckled.
"And there's us," said Grandma, glancing at her mate who nodded. "I was thinking, if you want to join our family..." She immediately felt a strike of guilt, she knew some others were going to feel like she was trying to replace Littlefoot, but she would never want that. She just wanted to fix something and make someone happy.

Nahla tilted her head "Join....your...family?" she said like she did not understand those words,like they were in some foreign language.

"Yes," Grandma answered. "Stay with us."

Nahla looked around at the group looking uneasy "O-o-ok" she stammered softly.

Grandma smiled sadly and nuzzled the little one, but she looked over at Littlefoot's body, and felt another stab of guilt. This would have been a lot easier if this tragedy hadn't happened. She felt ready to get a mouthful off everyone. Suddenly she felt dizzy and whoozy, and her head started pounding. Eventually she collapsed to the ground.

Jenna sprinted towards Grandma "Mum! Mum are you ok?" yours poured down her face

Grandpa felt shocked when he felt something heavy impact his side, and he was both shocked and worried when he saw his wife unconscious on the ground.
"No..." he whispered. Taro went over a checked her over.
"I think she just exhausted herself," he concluded. "I don't think she slept too much last night and after what happened I think she just got over-stressed too... I'm sure with some rest and food she should be okay."

Nahla bolted from the scene terrified,she was scared she would have to watch her new family die already.

"Hold up!" Lily yelled, following her.
Grandma soon began to stir. "What just happened?" she groaned. Her mate said nothing, instead just nuzzling her with joy.
"You need to rest, mother," Taro insisted. Grandma just nodded and closed her eyes again.

Nahla stopped running "Lily what it is?" she asked softly

Jenna sighed with relief but the relief faded as she once again turned to her son "Rest up mother,and later we need to lay Littlefoot to rest...eternally " tears fell from her eyes

Lily slowed to a stop. "What are you doing?" she asked, concerned.
Grandma just nodded again, another tear falling down her face.

"I don't want to see my new family die" she explained sobbing.
-
Jenna walked away from the ground and plopped down and let out heartbroken wails,ones Grandma must know all to well-the wails of a grieving mother.
-
"She's not dying," Lily explained. "She just tired herself out too much, that's all. She'll be fine."
Grandma lay there, she had hoped her daughter wouldn't feel the pain that she felt twice, but it was happening. She also started sobbing heavily for her grandson, Grandpa resting his head on top of her neck and joining in.

Nahla wiped her tears "Ok.." she paused for a moment then leaned forward to hug Lily "I trust you"

Lily smiled and walked back with her, to see almost the entire family wailing.
"Well, I suppose they do need to grieve," she said quietly.

Jenns raised her head "It's my fault..if I did not come he would not of went into that attack and he would not of fallen and he would still be alive" she screamed believing she killed her son.
-
"It's nobody's fault," Grandpa assured. "Don't become like your mother did when she kept blaming herself for what happened to Taro." Taro shuddered at the thought.
-
Nahla sighed sadly "This is a tragedy" she commented.
-
"Yeah, it is," Lily agreed, her head drooping. She didn't want to see anything like this again, but now the past seemed to be coming back to haunt her.
-
Jenna managed to stop her wailing for a few seconds to around and see someone missing "Where the girls go?" she asked.
-
Lily walked up from behind Jenna with Nahla. "We're here," she answered bluntly. She just sat down without another word.
-
Nahla sat down not sure what to say or do "I'm....sorry" she said finally "About causing everyone stress...and I'm sorry you's lost a family member"

"It's all right, little one," Grandma whispered, but for her the situation wasn't right at all. This shouldn't have happened.

Nahla sighed and jumped up to a rock and rolled onto her back "What...we...do now...Littlefoot..dead" she said timidly "We...go back...to Great Valley?"
-
"Well the reason we came here in the first place was to ensure Littlefoot's safety," said Taro. "But now that he's... I think we should let Mother rest up for a couple of days and then head back."

Nahla's eye drifted over to Littlefoot "What about the body?" even as she just peeked at it she looked like she was gonna throw up.
-
"We'll find him somewhere to rest," Taro sighed.
(Stupid mobile Skype is refusing to work. :bang)

Jenna did not say anything she just sobbed before finally whispering "He was all I had...."

Nahla tilted her head "What does that mean? Somewhere to rest?" she was too young to understand.

"We need to put the body where nobody will easily find it," Taro explained. He let out a shaky sigh and brought Lily closer to him, needing some close comfort

"Oh" Nahla said tears in her eyes as she curled up trying to comfort herself.
-
Taro got up after a while and walked over to his sister.
"Do you want to go and... find somewhere?" he asked hesitantly, not sure if Jenna would approve.

Jenna nodded "Ok" she stood up on shaky legs blinded from tears " There wasn't even a chance of a goodbye...he was....just...gone" she said through her sobbing

Lily walked up next to Jenna. "I know how it feels... I'm really sorry."
-
Jenna looked down at Lily "Its the circle of life little one,no need to be sorry" she nuzzled her gently before glancing over at Nahla,she looked over to Grandma and mouthed "We need to talk".

Grandma nodded weakly before closing her eyes again. She felt awful.

Jenna sighed sadly and turned to Taro "Lets go find Littlefoot a beautiful place for...his..eternal sleep"
-
"Of course," said Taro, sighing and smiling sadly at his sister. "We'll find the most beautiful place to put him."

Jenna used her tail to wipe her tears leaning down to nuzzle Littlefoot one more time before raising her head and taking a deep breath facing the family "I'm ready..."

Grandma tried to get up but struggled and collapsed again. She was too exhausted.
"I think we'll have to stay here," said Grandpa. "I'm sorry Jenna."

Jenna sighed "It ok Mother....you can rest. You can always visit him you's leave" she nodded to Taro "You ready?"
-
Taro nodded and began to walk, ready to explore his old home and find the best place he could for Littlefoot's final resting place.

Jenna covered the body with the tree-star that kept Littlefoot warm during his last night on his short life. She began to follow her brother planning to come back for the body after choosing a spot. Not keen of dragging her dead son around with her.

Taro soon found himseld at the canyon, and shuddered, bad memories coming back to him.
"Let's get out of here," he said, turning in a different direction.

Jenna followed silently behind thinking you could see it on her face.

Taro kept searching with her, soon spotting a high place that looked seemingly untouched. It was covered with blooming flowers of all different colours, and looked beautiful. The only probelm was getting up there.

Jenna looked up "How we gonna get the body up there?" she whispered "It's the perfect place for my son to rest upon..." she cut off and went back to her thinking.
-
Taro remembered a test he did back when he still lived with the fast biters. He had done a test and had to climb a hill very similar to the one he was looking at now. However, it had been a long time since he had done it and wasn't even fully grown at the time, and he wasn't sure if he could do it now. Let alone that Jenna and his parents would never make it up there.
"It's been a while since I've done it, but it might be possible to climb it..." Taro stppped and walked forward, looking around. "Ah, here!" He had found a hidden path, which would be hard but certainly possible to walk up.

Meanwhile Nahla was gently rocking herself to calm down,her stomach growled in hunger but she ignored it.

Grandpa went to find some food, and brought quite a load back.
"Here you go," he said to Nahla, dropping a large pile of greens next to her, before going to give the rest to his mate.

Nahla just turned away from it,too troubled by what she had to see today.
-
Grandpa saw and sighed, feeling like he was never going to be truly happy again.
-
Nahla took a deep breath "I will miss him..." she said tears falling.
-
"So will we," said Grandpa, silent tears falling down his face and onto his mate's body.
-
Nahla stood up and without realizing what she was doing walked over to Grandma and Grandpa leaned into them and cried and cried.
-
The two older longnecks embraced Nahla, crying with her. They seemed almost unable to stop.
-
"It all Zimba's fault!" Nahla shouted "If he never paralyzed him then he would of been able to move and not....." she cut herself not wanting to say it.
-
"If only..." Grandma whispered. "We can't waste our time over those two words. I made that mistake once before and it nearly destroyed my family."
"I suppose one day we have to move on," Grandpa agreed.

Jenna looked at the ground "No mother should be having to do this-finding their childs final resting place...I just can't believe...he is gone..."
-
"I know," Taro sighed, looking up the path. "Shall we get the others then, or wait for a bit?"
Meanwhile Grandma had fallen asleep after exhausting herself with crying so much.

Jenna looked back "I think Mother would need a few more hours...and the girls need to eat..we can just put the body somewhere else out of sight for now"

Taro nodded in agreement. "Okay then," he said, heading back to the others.

Jenna followed slowly behind sobbing.

Nothing was said when Taro arrived back with Jenna. An exchange of looks between him and Grandpa told the old longneck that they had found somewhere to put Littlefoot to rest.
Grandma was still fast asleep for the time being, and nobody wanted to wake her.

Nahla stood up and walked over to Jenna and Taro she smiled at them and nuzzled them on their legs,she was learning to trust.
(Oh btw Ram starting tomorrow Zimmy going on a holiday for a few days so either me or you take Jenna)

Taro smiled at Nahla, and so did Lily. It finally seemed Nahla was learning to live in a better world, and so was she. She trusted Littlefoot's grandparents now, and actually wanted to get to know them a bit more.
(Okay then. I don't mind if you take Jenna.)

Jenna stared at Nahla and walked over to Grandpa "Can I talk to you?" she asked softly.

"Of course, dear," said Grandpa. "What is it?"

"I will always miss Littlefoot,no one will replace him...but there is something that would make his death easier to accept-the fact I am making another life better...I was hoping I could...." she stopped talking and looked over at Nahla.

"I believe your mother was hoping the same thing," Grandpa answered, smiling at his daughter.
-
Jenna took a breath "Father,I promise to protect her and love her and make her well again. She needs me and I need her so I'm requesting an adoption of Nahla" Jenna had tears in her eyes.

Grandpa nodded in reply
"Of course, Jenna," he said. Grandma still had her eyes closed but she smiled after hearing that.

Jenna smiled "Thank you so much father,I won't let you down promise"

"I know you'll do her proud," he answered, nuzzling her lovingly.

"How am I meant to tell her?" she questioned.
-
"Well... you just have to ask her if it's what she wants first," said Grandpa. "Then just say she's part of the family now... I think."

Jenna looked over "But what if she reacts like.....him"
Nahla rubbed her head along Taro's leg a smile on her face,before playfully shoving Lily playful mischief in her eyes.

"She won't, " Grandpa assured. "I'll be with you though, just in case."
"Hey! " Lily complained, but she soon grinned at Nahla. "I'll get you for that!" Taro chuckled at the two before noticing his father and sister.

Jenna smiled "Sorry to but in but I need to speak with Nahla".
Nahla glanced at Lily but stood up "Yes Miss Jenna?".
Jenna smiled again "What is it you want,more then anything in the world?".
Nahla tilted her head "A family....a real one...one that loves me".
Jenna nuzzled the young one suprising her "Wise choice...my daughter".
"You mean....you mean?" Nahla stammered.
Jenna pulled her closer "I have adopted you as my daughter your part of our family now".
Nahla gasped and screamed-but of joy before hugging Jenna "Mummy" she mumbled tears in her eyes.

Taro smiled proudly at his sister, while Lily went up next to him, nuzzling his leg.
Grandpa shed a tear of happiness and lay down next to his wife, rubbing his head against hers gently.

Jenna smiled "You need a feed....and a bath" she added chuckling rubbing her new daughter "I promise I won't abuse you,you'll get the happy life you always deserved...if we can find a home...unless" she looked over to her parents wondering if she was invinted into the Great Valley.

Grandpa nodded.
"Of course you're all welcome to come to the Great Valley, if you want," he said.

Nahla snuggled into her new mother.
Jenna looked up at the sky "You almost had a brother...but...then...IT happened...."

Grandma groaned with pain from her headache. "This is all my fault," she whispered.

Jenna shook her head "No Mother it is not,if it's anyones it is mine..... but we can't go blaming ourselves. Littlefoot would not of wanted was too feel guilty he would of wanted us to support and look out for each other. We should be cherishing the special memories we DO have of him not fretting about the ones we will miss...besides though he may be gone in body Littlefoor never dies in spirit" she finished her small speech and rubbing her head against Nahla's skinny body,the pink girl hardly ate due to her panic about strangers,but now maybe things will be different.

"Well said, sis," said Taro as Lily buried the side of her head into him again.
Grandma just cried herself to sleep again, her mate trying as best as he could to comfort her.

Nahla signed and stood up padding over to Grandma "Don't cry Grandma" she said softly then realized what she just called her and looked away.

Grandma opened her eyes and smiled at Nahla.
"I'll try, little one," she said. Already she had calmed down, now she was just thinking.

Nahla smiled and sang "It's the circle of life,and it moves us all. Through despair and hope,through faith and love. Till we find our place. On the path unwinding,in the circle-The Circle Of Life"

Grandma tried to get back to sleep again after Nahla had finished her song.
Grandpa tried to get some rest next to her. He too didn't have much sleep that night and wasn't feeling his best.

Jenna laid staring into the distance.
Nahla walked over and laid down for a nap.
Jenna held her in her between her front legs like she was never gonna let go she looked down at her and frowned "Taro...remember that Nani? She used to play with us before she went insane and tried to kill us...doesn't Nahla look like her?"
(Nani evil this time..yup)

"Yes... I remember her," said Taro, staring at Nahla before looking back at his sister. "Do you think she's...?"

"Her daughter" Jenna nodded "What do we do,if mother and father find out who she is they'll never let me keep her" tears fell from her eyes "Then again not sure if I want her anymore anyway..." she cried it was clear she not was not thinking

"Don't say that, Jenna," said Taro. "Of course they'll let you keep her. And if she is Nani's I can already tell she didn't inherit her mother's personality. Look at her. She's been starved and abused. She's scared and she needs us."

Jenna looked down at the sleeping child and sighed "I never thought Nani would go so far as to...do this...to her own daughter"

"I think her mate helped," Taro pointed out, remembering something he had heard when he first met Nahla.

Jenna looked up confused "What do you mean?"
-
"Well, when I first found her, she kept screaming about her dad hurting her," Taro explained. "I think that he might have been worse than Nani... poor kid."

Jenna licked Nahla's head then frowned again "I wonder what happened there" she nodded to the large cut on Nahla's neck just she got on her first day in the Great Valley during her panic attack.

"Oh, er... I think she went into a state of panic and accidentally cut herself on a sharp rock," said Taro, feeling quite guilty.

Jenna sighed sadly "Poor little darling but she safe now I will protect her...unlike how I failed to protect....Littlefoot" she struggled to say his name

"Now, you didn't fail to protect him..." Taro sighed. "What happened was just a freak accident. I was the one next to him, sis. I was one the one who may have been able to stop it, but..." He couldn't finish his sentence.

Meanwhile Littlefoot's breathing which was there the whole time began clearer,the paralyzing was wearing off but that just sadly left him in serve pain.
Jenna just closed her eyes and fell asleep hugging Nahla.

Taro had gone to check the body to make sure no scavengers had gotten to it, and he was completely shocked by what he saw.
"J-J-JENNA!" he cried, running back to her.

Jenna raised her head "What is it?" she asked tiredly.
-
"I think you need to come and see this," he said. His shouting had also woken up his parents and they stared at him, confused. He just motioned at everyone to follow him.

Jenna sighed picking up Nahla and placing her on her back "Ok show me whats so excitng"

Taro started to lead them to where Littlefoot's body was. "I just want you to take a look at something," he said.

Jenna didn't say anything but followed.
Littlefoot by now was fully awake he had his head raised and was looking around blood was all over him,he sat up and let out a bone chilling scream of pain.

Taro shuddered when he heard the scream and started rto panic.
"Come on!" he yelled to the others, rushing ahead. "We're coming Littlefoot," he muttered under his breath. Lily heard and gave him a confused look, but didn't say anything.

Jenna heard the scream and froze "I've gone crazy" she shook her head.
Littlefoot was in alot of pain,he started sobbing thinking he was abandoned.
-
"You haven't, " said Taro, shaking his head. "He must have woken up."
"Who?" Grandma asked, confused. Taro didn't need to answer the question; they had reached the clearing where Littlefoot was.

"Oh...my..goodness" Jenna gasped.
Littlefoot tried to stand again only to scream out in horrid pain. Giving up he dropped to the ground,you could tell on his face he was ready to accept death.

"That... that's impossible," Grandma whispered as Taro went up to his nephew.
"It's all right, Littlefoot, we're here," he said. "All of us."

"Uncle Taro?" Littlefoot questioned looking up "It really hurts" he said looking down at his chest which was pretty much cut open.
-
"Oh gosh Littlefoot," said Taro, inspecting him. "It'll be okay soon, I promise."
Meanwhile Grandma and Grandpa just stared at Littlefoot in utter shock.

Jenna backed off slowly "Just...end his misery...he is suffering" she said giving them permission to fully end his life walking away "I can't bare to see him in that serve pain...just end it for him" she walked out of sight.
Even a breath was torture to Littlefoot,it would of been better if he was still paralyzed right now.

"Wait... I know something that might numb the pain slightly, " said Taro. "Look after him, will you?" he said to his shocked parents and Lily. He didn't wait for reply before running off in search of a special treesweet.

Littlefoot glanced over at Grandma and Grandpa his face full of pain,it was hard to tell he was brown he was covered in that much blood anyone would think he was just red.
-
Grandma went up to Littlefoot and cleaned him, trying to be careful around the worst wounds. Grandpa got some treestars to cover them so that not much dirt would get into the injuries and make them worse.
Taro was struggling to find the treesweet he needed. He looked up at the place he found with Jenna. He knew the treesweet would be up there, so he started climbing.

Littlefoot screamed in pain the licking seemed to be stinging him.
Jenna meanwhile plopped down and sobbed forgetting Nahla stil slept on her back.
Nahla slid off and landed with a painful yelp.

"I'm sorry, little one," Grandma sighed and she stopped licking him. Instead she just covered the wounds with the treestars that Grandpa had brought.
Taro had finally reached the top of the hill and as he suspected he found the treesweet he was looking for and grabbed it before making his way back down.

Littlefoot shivered "Was that...mother I saw?" he whispered.
-
"Yes, dear," said Grandma. "Yes it was."
Meanwhile, Taro came back with the tree sweet and placed it next to Littlefoot. "Here," he said. "It doesn't taste very nice but it'll help with the pain."

Littlefoot took a treesweet in his month and began to chew only to spit it out a few seconds later "YUCK!" he complained.
Jenna was staring at Nahla who had seemed to have a small sprain from her tumble off a full grown longneck.
Nahla faced away from her mother holding her leg just off the ground...
Thinking the worse Jenna screamed "TARO! TARO! NAHLA'S HURT!"

"Oh no..." Taro sighed before turning to Littlefoot. "I know it tastes bad, but try and eat it, okay? You'll feel much better." He ran off towards his sister.

Littlefoot sighed and took it in his mouth again and chewed slowly before shallowing gagging almost right away "Water..' He whispered.
Jenna hugged Nahla "I'm sorry sweetheart"
Nahla sighed "It's ok mum I know it was an accident" she replied laying down.
Jenna nuzzled her "Thats it dear,lay down you'll be fine..it just a sprain..... I hope"

Grandpa got a tree star with water on it and put it by Littlefoot's head.
Taro reached Jenna and Nahla panting. "What happened?" he asked.

Littlefoot laped up the water "How...did I end up over here....I thought we were over there" he nodded with his head to he the spot they were using as a resting place.
Jenna sighed with relief when she saw Taro "Nahla fell of my back,landed heavily on the right front leg" she explained.

"We moved you," Grandpa explained. "We thought you were..." he couldn't finish the sentence.
Taro had a look at Nahla's leg. "It should be fine, as long as you don't put too much pressure on it," he said.

Jenna sighed with relief and leaned in to whisper to Taro "Did you...
'put Littlefoot down' yet?"
Littlefoot seemed shocked "Dead?" he asked

Grandma looked a hs cut ppen chest and nodded.
Taro shook his head. "He's not going to die Jenna. Not while I'm around," he said.

Jenna looked to the ground "He is in so much pain....Taro be honest with me.whats the odds of him ever fully recovering from that?".
Littlefoot seemed to be staring into the distance "Who is that?" he said even knoe no one was there "They keep telling me to follow the light"

"Who is who, liitle one?" Grandma asked confused.
"Honestly?" Taro questioned. "Full recovery? Slim, but look at me, sis. I lost so much blood that day I was on the verge of death and I still bare the marks of the past as a painful reminder. But I'm happy. I have something to live for, and even when I had nothing I just carried on. What about you?" He looked over to her back, where a big scar showing that a large chunk of flesh had been ripped out. "That sharptooth dealt you quite a blow, we all thought you dead and here you are. We're survivors, Jenna, and I'm sure Littlefoot will make it through too."

"That green longneck female" Littlefoot said "She telling me to follow the light and the pain will be gone..don't you see her?" Littlefoot said confused.
Jenna looked at her back and sighed "Your right..it just..the pain he must be in...breaks my heart knowing theres nothing I can do to stop it. If I could take the pain for him I would".

"Littlefoot..." Grandma knew the description of that longneck. "Don't follow her."
"Well I've given him something that should ease the pain for a bit," said Taro. "Now all we can do is wait and hope."

"Why not?" Littlefoot asked.
Nahla who was listening jolted "Littlefoot is alive?" she said after realizing it all.

"Because that longneck is dead," said Grandma. "If you follow her, you'll also..." She started sobbing. "I don't want to lose you again..."
"Yes," Taro answered. "He's alive."

Littlefoot frowned "She says I have to go and it's for the best..I'm confused where is she trying to take me? Who is she?".
Nahla suddenly. closed her eyes and "Uh oh" she said

Grandma sighed. "I'm going to have a proper go at her when I get there," she said before chuckling. "I think that might be your great grandmother you're seeing there, little one. And the place... must be where we go when we die."
"What's so uh oh?" Taro asked.

"Why does she want me to go there?" he now seemed to be staring at something right next to him.
Nahla opened her eyes "Do you's know a green female longneck by any chance?"
-
"Because she wants to annoy me," Grandma joked. Grandpa frowned and gave his mate a look that said she should be more serious. It sounded like their grandson was about to die, after all.
"Maybe she thinks you're in too much pain?" he suggested.
Taro glanced at Jenna. He knew a green female but she would have been long dead by now.

Littlefoot felt nuzzling "She says it's time for me to go" he told his Grandparents still confused.
Nahla looked nevreous "Cause theres one trying to get Littlefoot to 'follow her into the light'"

"Now hold on just a moment!" Grandma argued.
"Crud," Taro cursed. "Come on you two!" he yelled rushing back to the scene.

Littlefoot let out a sudden gasp of pain "She said why are you against it?".
Confused and scared Jenna picked up Nahla and sprinted after Taro.

"Well, don't we have a right to say goodbye first?" Grandma asked as Taro and the others joined them.
"Right, what in the name of rotten treestars is going on?" he asked.
"No idea," Grandpa answered, still very confused.

"She said fine but only for a short while she wants to end my pain" his eyes drooping in sudden tiredness.
-
Grandma sighed and looked over to her daughter. "I'm sorry, Jenna," she whispered. "But I suppose this time we can say goodbye."

Jenna took a step back "What is even going on here?"
Littlefoot's head fell to the ground as if someone was lowering it "It hurts" Littlefoot compained "It hurts so much"

Grandpa tried to explain. "Well, Littlefoot is seeing someone and we think it might be your grandmother, Jenna. And... she wants to take Littlefoot with her, if I got that right."
Grandma nuzzled Littlefoot. "Whatever happens, little one, we'll always love you and remember the good times we had together," she whispered. "It's just a shame things had to be this way..."

Jenna backed up even more 'WHAT?!! Your letting him being lured into death?"

Grandma thought for a moment. "Good point," she said. "She's being a hypocrite.... as usual." She was getting ready to have one of her arguments with her mother, even if she couldn't see her.

Littlefoot's eyes closed.
Nahla who could also see this ghost gasped "She is picking him up,and once she goes into that light with him. Littlefoot will be gone forever"

"Hey!" Grandma yelled. "Bring him back you- That's my grandson there! Don't think you can just take him away from us!" Grandma had quite a stubborn streak when it came to her mother. She knew she would have to give up sooner or later.
Grandpa thought she was going mad, but Taro knew what his mother was trying to do, and he seemed willing to join in.

"She said he is in pain because of our carelessness so she taking him to a safer place" Nahla told the other longnecks.
-
"Carelessness?!" Grandma exclaimed. "I'll give her carelessness in a moment!"
Taro couldn't help but chuckle. This brought back funny memories.

Nahla gulped "She not gonna give him back she said" Nahla said looking at what seemed to be nothing.
-
Grandma scoffed. "That's nice considering how you reacted after that incident with Taro. You were the one saying it wasn't fair and that he shouldn't have been taken away from us," she argued.
Taro stepped in. "Shouldn't we at least let Littlefoot have his own say? He might not want to leave. I mean... he only just found his mother again... please Grandma..." he pleaded, looking at where Nahla was staring.

Nahla looked around in panic "Keep Littlefoot breathing,she won't be able to cross with him if someone is physically keeping him alive".

"On it," said Lily, rushing up to Littlefoot and using some techniques that she had learned at her old home to keep him breathing.
Grandma and Grandpa entwined tails, hoping everything would turn out for the better.

Nahla tilted her head "She said to just let him go away from your...abuse..huh?" she turned to Grandma and Grandpa.
-
Grandma and Grandpa looked just as confused as Nahla did.
"A-abuse?" Grandpa stammered.
-
"She said you left him to nearly be murdered,left him to be paralyzed,left him to cut himself open,tossed him away and right away adopted another brat...wait hey!" she stared at the ghost that only she saw,suddenly she flew back as if she was just hit hard.
-
"That's not fair," said Taro. "It's not exactly their fault these things happened. They were just a freak accident!"
Lily started bawling as she tried to keep Littlefoot breathing. "It's not fair!" she cried.
Grandma also started crying, her own mother had made her feel like complete failure.

Nahla rubbed her head from being hit,fear filling her eyes. All the memories came crashing down on her,she starting sobbing and screaming "DON'T HURT ME DON'T HURT ME PLEASE JUST KILL ME DON'T HURT ME"

"Oh well done," Taro said sarcastically. "If anyone's the abuser here, it's you!"
Lily carried on screaming. "Taking Littlefoot away is going to hurt everyone more!" she cried. "He's the only thing those two had to live for!" she pointed at Grandma and Grandpa. "Without him they'd probably be dead and now that you're making them feel guilty about something that isn't their fault so now they think they're failures and they're not! We just need him back, or this family will be torn apart forever! He'll make it, I know he will! And I also know that everyone here will make sure that nothing bad ever happens to him again!" She sobbed uncontrollably, her last sentence couldn't be made out, but the word 'Jenna" was in it.
(Come on you can't ignore a weeping child. :( )

Littlefoot started stirring us if his spirit had been given back to him,he opened his eyes with a moan.
Nahla cowering now muttered "She has left" she then looked around and dove into a bush it was just like when she first arrived in the Great Valley.

Grandma carried on sobbing, still feeling like a failure.
Lily just stood up and cleared her throat like nothing had happened.
"Piece of a treesweet," she said, turning to Taro. She had been acting the whole time.
"Very devious, Lily," he commented. "But it seems you saved us from another..." He couldn't finish the sentence.

Nahla tip toed over to Littlefoot "She injured him" she commented.
Jenna paced in circles,her eyes bloodshot and wide.
-
"Huh?" Lily thought Nahla might have been referring to her.
Taro just watched Jenna pacing, still unsure what to say to her.
Grandma soon couldn't bare it; she got up and left without a word.
"Dear? Where are you going?" Grandpa asked, but there was no reply.

Nahla pointed with her head to Littlefoot's shoulder "That lady,she crushed his shoulder. He will be in great pain"
-
Taro looked at Littlefoot's shoulder, confirming the damage.
"I don't understand though..." he said. "She was never like that when I was around. I mean, I know she had arguments with mother but they would laugh it off afterwards and it even seemed jokey when they were arguing. Did she get more bitter as she aged or something?"
"Well, she didn't seem too happy after you... But it still wasn't that severe," Grandpa explained.
"Oh great, now I know that when I die, I'll be bitter and mean," Taro complained.
"I should go and find your mother," said Grandpa, getting up. "She seemed so upset." He left in search of his mate, hoping nothing bad had happened to her.

Littlefoot blinked a few times the pain coming crashing down on him all at once,he behan screaming in complete torture.
-
"Dammit," Taro muttered under his breath as he tried to calm Littlefoot down.
Grandpa soon found Grandma by the canyon. It was a horribly familiar sight to him. She was looking down at a particular spot, the spot where Taro had landed and was just out of their reach.
"Dear?" Grandpa asked with concern. "Are... you okay?"
Grandma didn't answer, she seemed to be staring into deep space.

Littlefoot sobbed "It hurts too much! End it please! END IT!".
Nahla who had shifted backyards shook her head "It's a trick that some spirits do,altered Littlefoot's mind..why does this lady want Littlefoot so bad anyway?'

Taro shook his head. "I don't know... Why has she done this to us?" he muttered. He looked over to Jenna. "One of us needs to go and find our parents. I'm worried about Mother."
Meanwhile Grandma had stood at the very edge of the canyon, not even hearing her mate pleas to come back. She could just jump and end it all now, but she knew she would just have to face it. She still had children and grandchildren to look after, even if she did feel like an utter failure.

Jenna opened her mouth to reply but Nahla butted in.
"I'll go...just trust me please" she glanced over into the distance "I believe I know whats going on here,but you got to trust me" she looked back at the adults a very odd look on her face.

Taro stood in thought for a bit. "Okay then," he eventually said.

Nahla smiled "Thank you" she took off through the valley untill she reached the canyon,without even noticing Grandpa she jumped on a rock to be right next to Grandma's head "Grandma stop this!" the child had an odd look on her face like she was holding a secret.

Grandma glanced at Nahla. She seemed confused.

Nahla growled "Back away NOW".

"Nahla, what are you-?" Grandma stammered, shocked. It seemed like the whole world hated her. She backed away, scared of Nahla's sudden behaviour change.

Nahla sighed with relief and jumped down "Now listen to me,Littlefoot needs you. He is in great pain...his shoulder is in pieces.." she drifted off staring at something behind Grandma..though once again nothing seemed to be there.

Grandma sighed in defeat. "Nobody needs me," she whispered. She then looked at where Nahla was looking. "What are you looking at?" she asked.

"She is back...and she has got him" Nahla muttered her face forming a snarl at the empty space.
Meanwhile Littlefoot had gone quiet...too quiet.

Taro panicked and nudged Littlefoot. "Littlefoot! Kid, wake up!" he cried.
"Please, not again..." Lily whispered.
Grandma cursed under her breath and ran back to where Littlefoot was, her mate quickly following behind her.

No signs of a response came from Littlefoot.
Nahla kept snarling "Leave him here you-" she was cut of by her own screaming as some force rammed their whole weight into her,she stumbled down the slope and landed motionless. But luckily she landed in a soft area so she was not dead.

Grandma reached her grandson while Grandpa got Nahla, surprised by what had just happened. He looked at her and found she was going to be fine, so he was quite relieved with that muc.
"Oh Littlefoot..." Grandma whispered when she got to him. "Why does this have to keep happening to you?"

Jenna stopped pacing "Mother tell me the truth..he is gonna die isn't he?".
Nahla shook her head and opened her eyes,stunned but ok. She jumped to her feet and gasped "She..is gone..."

"I don't know..." Grandma sighed, collapsing to ground, crying. "Why is this happening...?"
-
Nahla tried to sprint forward to see if it wasn't too late for Littlefoot only to once ahgain me knocked back as a longneck seemed to be ramming into her,sending her down the worse part of the canyon,she was pretty much out of anyones reach now. She was laying motionless,her breathing was normal but from the height everyone else was..impossible to see or help the unconscious child. She looked dead from above.

"NO!" Grandpa cried, running over to where Nahla was. He couldn't notice any movement; he was too high up.
Grandma finally spoke up. "If you really don't want to go without taking someone, then take me. Just leave my grandson alone! He doesn't deserve this!"

Jenna went over to Littlefoot and nuzzled him gently "Maybe..this is for the best...he is in just too much pain".
(Knock some sense into Jenna please)

Taro was horrified. "Are you MAD?! Both of you! I am not having anyone die on me today! I only just found you lot again and I'm not losing any of you!"
Lily just realised what she wasn't doing and tried to keep Littlefoot breathing again, tears falling from her eyes for real this time.

Littlefoot jerked awake like someone just threw him he stared at one spot and his eyes widen "She is gonna let me go because....She..killed Nahla".
-
"Oh no..." Grandma sighed. "When I get there, I'm gonna kill her."
"But Mother, she's already dead," Taro pointed out.
"I'll kill her ghost then," said the old female. "Where's your father?"
"Well he was with you, wasn't he?" Taro asked.
"Was, yes," said Grandma, getting up. "I should go and find him... and Nahla."

Nahla was still lying motionless,her body was completely out of reach. She was completely knocked out..as to be expected..she just fell down a canyon after all.

Grandma soon found her mate, and was horrified by the sight. She turned away, it was all too familiar to her. A little one that had fallen and couldn't be reached...

Jenna walked up to Grandma "Mother...how is Nahla? Is she okay? Please tell me Littlefoot was wrong"
-
"I... can't be sure," Grandma concluded. She couldn't see anything but she had made this mistake before with her son. She thought he was dead but he wasn't. She could see a narrow path leading to where Nahla was, but everybody was far too big to walk along it.
(Darn it I hate that Skype doesn't work in school. :anger )

Jenna walked to the edge of the canyon and looked down "We need Littlefoot,there is Lily but I think that path is too small even for her. Littlefoot is smaller and much younger..he should fit"

"But Littlefoot is far too injured, Jenna," said her father. "And there's a risk of that path collapsing..."
Lily had arrived at the scene and had heard what Grandpa had said, before thinking for a moment. She knew who might be able to help, but she would have to get Taro to get them.

Jenna sobbed "He needs to try,it either he goes down or Nahla dies down there"

"Wait!" said Lily, running next to Jenna. "I think Taro might know somebody who can get down there! I'll ask him to go and get them! I think they live just on the outskirts!"
"The outskirts?" Grandma questioned. "But... don't fast biters live out there?"
Lily didn't answer; she just ran back through the trees.
(Ah, that sucks. :( )

Littlefoot had limped over to the scene "Whats going on?"
Jenna turned and quickly grabbing him and putting him at top of the path "Go my son" she gave him a gentle shove..sending him down the path and landing with a thud.
(Epic fail Jenna :slap no worry he ok)

Taro followed him. "You know, I could have just asked the fast biters to help us out rather than send Littlefoot," he said. He earned a strange look from his parents, but didn't take any notice of them.

"Do you really think Nahla would approved of fastbiters around her?" Jenna asked her brother but keeping an eye on Littlefoot.
Littlefoot got to his feet and limped over to Nahla and lowered his head to her "She is breathing" he said to the adults on top but swaying and plopping to the ground "I can carry her up if you want"

"Well I had to live around them for a few years," Taro muttered.
"Just be careful, Littlefoot!" Grandpa yelled. "And mind your shoulder!"

Littlefoot carefully put Nahla on his back and slowly made the trek back up the slope. He just managed to reach the top and put Nahla down,before collapsing completely he was now in a lot and a lot of pain.
(Oh this poor guy)

"Oh dear," Grandma sighed, running up to Littlefoot and tending to him.
Taro still couldn't believe that Jenna had sent her injured son down there. He was still convinced that it would have been safer to get the fast biters that had saved his life to do it, but he said nothing.

Jenna sighed and picked Littlefoot up placing him on his feet "He is fine" with that she turned to Nahla,picking her up and walked off.
(Zimmy wanted this,she been altered by the ghost yes she planned the ghost)

Taro shook his head. "This isn't right..." he said.
Lily went next to Littlefoot, then looked at Jenna, then looked back at Littlefoot.
"I don't understand," said Grandma. "That's her son there, and she's acting like she barely knows him and has completely replaced him with Nahla! I know the little one's been through a lot but you can't just replace your own child."
This earned her a look from both Taro and Lily, and she tried to redeem herself.
"I'm not saying adopting is a bad thing," she said calmly. "I'm just saying that Jenna shouldn't just focus on the one child, she needs to treat them both equally... with love..."

Littlefoot overheard every word and limped over to the edge of the canyon "Goodbye...you's don't need me..you's got Nahla now" with that he turned forward and jumped off.

(WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED?! I'M ALREADY SHOCKED!)
"NO!" Grandma cried, rushing forward but she was too late.
Lily pressed her eyes shut and buried her head into Taro's leg, not wanting to see.

Littlefoot closed his eyes believing this was his death,he landed on something big....and black.
Hades turned his head "Well well well,what do we have here?" he chuckled evilly they were out of sight of the rest of the group however.
A pink female walked forward "Looks like we got some bait Hades" Nani smiled.
Meanwhile Jenna licked Nahla unaware of her sons fate.
(It ok Hades caught him...wait is that really ok :unsure:)

Grandma stormed to Jenna immediately, ready for a big talk. She watched her licking Nahla and frowned. She had no idea what Littlefoot had just done.

Jenna feeling someone watching her looked up "What?"

"You're seriously asking me that?" said Grandma. "Do you want to know what your son just did?"

"My son? What about it? What did it do?" Jenna asked seemingly not caring at all.
(Zimmy is evil isn't she SHE PLANNED THIS PLAN OF EVIL)

"It... IT?!" Grandma exclaimed, horrified. "How... what... how in the world could you ever call your son IT? You ditched him back there for Nahla and then he felt completely neglected by you and do you know what?! He went and jumped off the canyon!"
Grandpa walked up to his mate's side, a very grave look on his face.

"Oh ok is it alright? Not that it matters,that one was a dud. Completely useless" Jenna lowered her head nuzzling Nahla "This girl however,is perfect".

Both of the grandparents were horrified.
"You don't mean that," said Grandpa. "Please tell you don't mean that..."
Grandma's face of horror soon turned into one of disgust. She didn't want to blame Nahla for this but something bad had happened to their daughter.

Jenna laughed "Oh I do,now I'm curious how is that little thing?".
Nahla also seeming to not care and lapped up the attention and said "Hey,not my fault I'm better and she knows it" something had happened to the both of them,but what?

Grandma was furious. "You're no daughter of mine," she growled at her before turning away, but she stopped for a moment. "Why don't you just take Nahla and get out of my sight before I can't be held responsible for my actions?" she suggested, tears falling down her eyes.
Grandpa just shook his head with disappointment. "What happened to you, Jenna?" he whispered before the two walked away in hope of finding Littlefoot.

Jenna rolled her eyes and turned back to Nahla smiling.
Meanwhile Hades and Nani had left the valley bringing Littlefoot with them,in the canyon that made a pool of blood that seemed to trail. They did that for one reason-to make the family think fastbiters had gotten to Littlefoot.

Grandma, Grandpa, Taro and Lily were all making their way to the bottom of the canyon, and were shocked at what they saw.
"Oh no... Poor Littlefoot..." Grandpa sighed.
"It looks like his..." Grandma trailed off, choking back sobs. "He's been dragged off by something... something like fast biters."
Taro was shocked when he looked at it. "But... no... the fast biters don't come into the valley this far. They hunt on the outskirts... I need to ask them about this," he concluded, walking off.
Grandma and Grandpa were slightly confused on why Taro kept insisting that they go to the fast biters, but followed him without a word.

Littlefoot had been taken back to the Shadowlands and thrown into a cave.
Hades had used his tail to block it off and he and Nani walked off laughing about their 'plans' for him .
Meanwhile Jenna stepped in front of the family back in the valley smiling "Where are you's going?"
Nahla rode on her back..wait..was that an evil grin on her face?
(Get a a taste of evil Nahla,even though she just been altered it not really her doing all this)

"To find out what exactly happened to my nephew... which I doubt was anything you planned on doing," Taro said calmly, pushing past her. He didn't notice Nahla, but the others did, and it completely disturbed them. Something hadn't been right since that ghost showed up...

Nahla laughed like she was insane "Oh yes go find him,I'm sure the fastbiters are very hungry and would enjoy you feeding them".
Jenna also laughed "Oh he is fine,he is at the resting place isn't he?" she said but it was clear she did not care. Just what happened to them?

Both of Jenna's parents just pushed past her, not wanting to even talk to their daughter right now.
Taro led them to the outskirts, and it wasn't long before they found one, one that Taro knew well.

Littlefoot laid motionless in his cave,not having the strength to move. He felt so useless in unwanted in life,so was so close to just ending it,only to end up in even more suffering.
Jenna walked up behind the group "Forget that stupid thing already it was weak and all it did was cry"

Everybody ignored her. They just looked at the fast biter who growled something at Taro. Everyone except Lily stared at the male in shock when he started growling back.

Nani opened up the blocked cave and walked over to Littlefoot,without saying a word she began to pound the young child laughing.
Nahla slid of Jenna's back and walked over to Grandma and Grandpa "OI! How dare you ignore my mother like that! You big fat useless idiots" a murderous grin was on her face her eyes glowing with hate.
(Welcome to Nahla's world Littlefoot and me hope they find a way to change Jenna and Nahla back to normal)

"I don't think we're the ones being useless here," Grandma said calmly. "We're trying to find out what happened to Littlefoot. You're just standing there trying to insult us."
The fast biter looked at Grandma and Grandpa and then back at Taro, shocked. She then snarled softly at Taro and then motioned at the longnecks to follow her.
"She said Littlefoot's alive," said Taro. Grandma and Grandpa gasped in disbelief and smiled. "She said she saw him with another family and they took him out of here..." Taro carried on gravely. "They've taken him to the Shadowlands."

Jenna sighed "Oh well,thats the end of that one. Oh well. Anyone hungry?" she asked smiling with delight.
Nahla laughed "Your wasting your time trying to save that sharptooth meal,I'm sure my parents will come to their senses soon and they'll be feeding him their own fastbiters themselves" Nahla smiled evily,not realizing she just revealed who had Littlefoot and they would think she was part of the plan all along.

Grandma didn't seem to hear Nahla, and turned to Jenna. "Oh I'm sorry, I seem to have lost my appetite," she said before turning away.
Taro stared at Nahla. "Wait... how do you know that it was your parents?" he asked. Everyone else glared at her.
"How could you...?" Lily whispered.

Nahla just threw her head back and laughed "Oh your all fools,you actually bought that little scared little girl act" whatever happened to her also seemed to have changed her memories.
(Scary to think this was how Nahla was orignally gonna be,darn ghost)

"You monster... I TRUSTED YOU!!" Lily screamed.
"Forget her, Lily," said Taro. He growled at the fast biter and she walked off, soon coming back with a pack of seven others. "We're going to get him."
His parents nodded in agreement, both feeling completely betrayed.

Nahla trotted gasped "Your leaving with me?" she said in mock horror "Your gonna leave me to die out here?"

"If it were up to me, then I wouldn't think twice about it," Lily growled, shocking the others. She didn't show it very often but she, too, had a darker side.

Nahla growled and lunged at Lily pinning her to the ground "Your gonna pay for that" she raised her foot over her neck.
(Me no think me like evil Nahla very much,nope nope nope)

The female fast biter from before lunged at Nahla, not to injure her but just to get her away from Lily. She knew the oldest of the children from visits from Taro, and she had grown a little protective of her.

Nahla tried to dodge,she jumped only to impale herself on a rock,she thrashed for a few moments before laying motionless she looked..dead.
Littlefoot was breathing heavily..he wanted to go home,he wanted his Grandparents.
(Why Zimmy why did you do this to us WHY WHY WHYYYY. No worry Nahla will be back soon and she will be back to normal if she can gain their trust again)

The fast biter backed off behind the pack; she didn't mean for that to happen. Everyone just stared at Nahla in shock.

Jenna walked up to her and sighed "Oh well,looks like you weren't so perfect after all" with that she walked off not even bothering to get her daughters body off the rock. She was soon out of sight and suddenly stopped shaking her head "What..happened?" she asked herself looking around.

"Well, we'd better just go..." said Taro.
"What about Nahla?" Grandpa asked.
"Forget it. She set us up," Lily said bluntly. She was clearly bitter about the situation. She had felt sorry for her, thought she was someone she could trust and talk to, but no.
"We should at least move her... as bad as she was," said the old male, lifting Nahla off the rock and placing her on a softer spot.
"Well, let's just go and find Littlefoot," said Grandma. Everyone nodded and got ready to set off.

Jenna began to walk towards the group "Whats going on? Your going back to the Great Valley?" she seemed normal again and had no memories of what happened when she was well...changed.

"You know where we're going... don't try and act any differently Jenna," Grandma sighed. "I thought you loved him... but you left him to die."
One of the fast biters roared with impatience.
"We'd better go," said Taro, barely giving Jenna a second glance.

Jenna seemed confused "What are you talking about? And wheres Littlefoot and Nahla? Gee ever since that ghost stared into my eyes everyone has gone insane" she shook her head.

Grandma stared at her. "Well, in case you forgot... you neglected Littlefoot for Nahla, kept insulting him, then he felt completely unwanted and jumped off a cliff, and now he's been kidnapped and taken to the Shadowlands." She turned away, not even sure if she wanted to look at Jenna at the moment.
"Nahla set us up," Lily carried on, even though she didn't seem in the real world; she was just staring at the ground. "Her parents have taken Littlefoot away..."

Jenna was shocked "I never did anything to Littlefoot....and Nahla was with me trying to get that ghost to leave us alone,then she looked into our eyes and said something about 'fulling us with the darkness' and thats all I remember till now. Littlefoot off a cliff? What was he suicidal? Oh my poor beautiful son" a tear started in her eye.

"That's not how we remember it," said Taro. "It was like you turned evil... it was you who made him suicidal, Jenna." It was clearly noticeable that he didn't want to call her 'sis' at the moment.
Grandpa frowned, not entirely sure what to say about the situation. He looked at Jenna and could tell that she looked like the daughter he loved and cared for, but he had felt nearly the same with Nahla and wasn't sure if he could trust either of them.

Jenna backed off "Fine then,it clear you hate me so I'll just get rid of myself for you" she turned "I don't know how you got all this in your heads but I never did ANY of that" Sobbing she sprinted towards the canyon.
(Naww no one believes poor Jenna :cry :cry :cry)

Suddenly the female fast biter that had first joined them started snarling at Taro, and he backed off. It was like she was scorning him. Eventually he sighed in defeat.
"Okay..." he said. He turned to his parents. "I'll be back in a moment," he told them, sprinting off after Jenna.
"...Do you think she's telling the truth?" Grandma asked. "I know I had a go at her but she seems... back to normal now."
"Well they seemed to change after that ghost or whatever it was," Lily noted.
"We need to find her," said Grandpa. "She may hear it from Taro but that might not be enough. We need to explain everything to her ourselves."

Jenna reached the edge of the canyon and prepared to just end her life,from what she heard her son was gonel-ost to Shadowlanders and her daughter was who knows where.
Nahla still laid motionless,a large wound showing where the rock stuck through her. She would never understand what she did wrong,too her they betrayed her. To her this whole 'evil' thing never happened.

"Jenna!" Taro cried, running up next to him. "Jenna, please don't do this... Look, those things we said... we're not lying to you, they happened. I know Mum and Dad are probably bitter about your behaviour for now but they'll come to their senses soon. They're just worried about Littlefoot."

Jenna turned to Taro a heartbroken look on her face "Honest I do not remember doing ANY of those things. Me and Nahla were walking. Nahla was looking for a special flower that would help Littlefoot get some rest,I was with her so she did not get lost or hurt. Then Grandma showed up. Nahla said 'The ghost lady is back'. Grandma then said 'You will be filled with darkness' she looked into Nahla's eyes..and she went insane,she went about shouting about killing us all.." Jenna took a breath "Then I turned to Grandma demanding she change her back,she looked into my eyes and thats all I remember till a few hours later,I was walking then I saw you's I thought we were going back home and everyone just started freaking out! I don't understand!" Jenna screamed her eyes turning into waterfalls "I would never do anything to bring Littlefoot harm! I would die before I hurt him".

"We know, Jenna..." said Grandma, coming though the trees with everyone else. "We know." She sighed. "Maybe that ghost messed up your mind..."
"We're going to get him back, if you want to come," said Taro. "But keep in mind that he might not be entirely happy to see you."

Jenna nodded "Of course I will come,he is my son after all. I may have adopted Nahla but Littlefoot is always gonna be my special little boy..wait...where IS Nahla?" Jenna looked around noticing her daughter missing "I have not seen her since...well that she was possessed"

Everyone looked at each other awkwardly.
"She... uh..." Taro hesitated to carry on, glancing at Jenna, then his parents, and then Jenna again.

Jenna sighed "Please tell me the truth,cause if you lie to me then I find out the truth later..it just hurts more,tell me the truth even if you know it will be painful"

"Well... she started attacking Lily," Taro explained. "Then one of the fast biters jumped onto her to get her off and... she landed on some rocks and got quite badly injured."

Jenna looked down then up again "And you left her their to die alone and afraid?" she did not seem angry,just stressed and upset. She shook her head "Lets go,she would of passed away by now..lets go and get Littlefoot...least we can do is save him"

"She betrayed us," Lily said plainly. "She knew her parents had taken him... even though she didn't see then."
"I didn't even know she was dead," said Taro.

Jenna stared in shock "You thought Nahla..... oh....poor little one" she turned to Lily "Nahla was possessed by the lady that tried to take Littlefoot her mind and memories were completely altered,she wanted revenge I guess,so she thought she would make you's want to kill Nahla yourselves...she also got someone else...and they took me over to get rid of Littlefoot..it was not us doing it...it was someone else in our bodies. Nahla is the sweetest little one I ever did know,she was abused,scared,and alone..I don't understand why Grandma...would want to take my own children off me,was it because I was away for so long?" she sobbed.

"I don't know..." Grandma sighed. "But I absolutely hate her for this."
Lily looked down to the ground, not saying a word. She soon walked off, still staying silent.

Jenna began to run off without another word. Nahla was dead. Littlefoot would hate her,her family must think she was some monster.
Littlefoot laid wounded in a small,damp,wet smelly cave. The smell made him sick he spat blood out of his mouth watching Hades leave him. The black make had used Littlefoot as some sort of punching bag,Littlefoot just had to take it.
Nahla was still alive..barely. A hole went right through her body,luckyily misisng organs. Insect crawled all over her,they stung. But Nahla just had to bare it,her eyes showed complete betrayal. Blood stains covered her,she licked her dry lips and took a deep breath. It was very very hot out there,Nahla knew this was gonna be her death,unless someone came...but that would be a miracle.She would either bleed to death,die of heat stroke or thirst. She did not care which one it was,as long as it came soon.

Lily soon reached her, and began to pick the insects off Nahla.
"It's all my fault, it's all my fault, it's all my fault..." She kept repeating these words under her breath over and over again as she tended to Nahla, feeling stab after stab of guilt in her heart.
"JENNA!" Grandpa called. The family and fast biters ran after her. The fast biters would get there first.

Nahla weakly turned her head "Go away...your family needs you..and I need to die..it must be what you's want..I am sorry if I did something to upset yous...kill me now...please" she begged.
Jenna turned "WHAT NOW?!!" she screamed.

Lily shook her head. "Nobody needs me after what I just did..." she said. "I'm sorry."
The fast biters backed off as the family arrived.
"Jenna... we have to go," said Taro. "Every second we hang around Littlefoot is probably going through torture. Now let's just get everyone and..." He stopped and looked around. "Wait... where's Lily?" He hadn't even noticed her wandering off.

Jenna looked around and pointed "There" she said turning away quickly seeing Nahla's body there too "Go get her,lets go save Littlefoot...if it's not too late"
Nahla nudged Lily using what little energy she had "Go...you did nothing wrong...I'm the monster"

"Just tell me..." Lily whispered. "Did you set us up, or was that all part of the weird ghost-mind thing?"
Taro walked up to them, shocked to see Nahla alive. He motioned at the others to come to that spot.

Nahla sighed "What happened was this "Me and Mother slash Jenna were walking. I knew of a flower that would help Littlefoot get some sleep. Then that ghost lady showed up,she said we were 'gonna be filled with darkness' she looked into my eyes,I saw a flash and then I remember waking up here,alone...and abandoned...dying...."

Grandma and Grandpa reached them, the fast biters following close behind.
"I doubt she can come with us," Taro said eventually. He turned to the female fast biter he knew and snarled something at her. She nodded and went next to Nahla, starting to tend to her. "Unless one of us stays, Cira will look after her until we get back," he explained.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Grandma questioned.
"I can trust her," Taro answered. "She's quite a good healer, too."

Nahla stated panicking at all the fastbiters.
Jenna who had wandered over to see what was going on gasped "She is alive?" she shook her head,she saw the child panicking "Maybe Lily could stay with her? she suggested "Besides...we really should not be taking a young one like Lily to The Shaodwlanads"

"Yeah, that's not a bad suggestion," Taro agreed. "Do you mind, Lily?"
"Not at all," Lily answered. She turned to Nahla. "Don't worry, she won't hurt you," she said about the fast biter known as Cira.

Jenna smiled and stared at the Cira "Take care of them or else" she snarled her mother instincts kicking in she began to walk away "We must get going every second we waste is another second Littlefoot could be slowly dying".

Cira knew that protectiveness all too well.
"Yes, let's go," said Grandma, following her.

The Shadowlands were very close to the other valley. Straving longnecks were everywhere,there was no food no water nothing.
Hades walked up of a cave a limp brown something in his mouth-Littlefoot. The child had lost so much blood and energy he could not even breath right. Hades being stupid did not bother looking for a heartbeat-which there was one and thought him dead. He was on his way to feed the body to the Shadowlander fastbiters.

The fast biters went in first to find a route that the other longnecks could sneak through. It wouldn't be easy with such huge creatures though.

Another longneck,an old female walked pasted the gap. Gasping and backing up staring at the newcomers,she was mirror of Nahla's condition when she first arrived,she was covered in horrid wounds.

The others stared at her, looking at her condition in horror.
"Oh my..." Grandma whispered to her mate. "This place seems horrible."
The fast biters soon spotted Hades with Littlefoot, and sent one of the younger members to warn the family.
-
"Who are you's?" the Shadowlander female whispered "Theres nothing here,you should leave while you still can" she glanced over into the distance "We just had a death..a child named Littlefoot passed away a few minutes ago" she looked at the ground sadly,Hades had told them all about what he thought was death.

"No..." Grandma whispered. "Littlefoot... we were so close..."

Jenna did not say anything just started taking shaking breaths,she was too late her son had suffered to death.
The other female looked up "I suppose you wree his family?" she questioned "From what I know his final words "'Tell them I'm sorry I'm not what they wanted'"
-
"Oh the poor thing..." Grandma whispered. "We couldn't have wanted anything better... and I just wished he knew that..." Tears started streaming from her eyes.
The young fast biter soon reached the family and started having a conversation in Sharptooth with Taro. The others could notice his eyes widening as the small carnivore explained what he had seen.
"That's... that's impossible..." he whispered.

The female glanced at Taro an eyebrow raised but shook her head and faced the family again "Yes..poor thing" she heard roars in the distance "Our leader Hades...is feeding the body to fastbiters,poor child he does not even get a resting place..just like little Nahla..oh that poor girl. She was abused,starvved and in time murdered.." she cut herself off realizing she was not helping 'I'm sorry...."

"Oh, she's not-" Grandpa cut himself off, realising what he was saying.
"...I can't bear this," said Grandma.
"We have to get to him," said Taro.
"Taro, it's too late," his mother sighed.
"No, it's not," Taro argued. "This guy here said they've made a mistake. Littlefoot's alive!" The fast biter nodded in agreement, just about understanding what Taro was saying in the leaf-eater language.

The female seemed shocked "You...speak Sharptooth?" she asked Taro before roars cut her off "You better hurry,if he is alive now he won't be for long" she pointed to where Hades was dangling Littlefoot over the fastbiters laughing at their attempts to grab him licking their lips.The female turned to them again "Oh I'm Renee by the way..Nahla was my granddaughter...well adopted granddaughter"

"Really?" Grandma questioned. "Hmm... she hasn't mention you befo-"
"Anyway..." Taro interrupted, giving his mother a look that reminded her that she shouldn't have said that before turning to Renee. "Yes, I am a Sharptooth speaker and thanks for the info. Now, please excuse me while I go and rescue my nephew," he said, running off after the fast biter, his parents following him.

Renee looked confused,but shrugged it off and slowly followed them just in case.
Jenna got in front of them all hoping she was not gonna be too late.
Meanwhile,Nahla laid in silence she licked her dry lips again and whispered "I'm sorry Lily...I'm sorry for doing what I did..even though I'm not sure what it was"

Taro was trying to keep up, and noticed that some of the fast biters trying to get Littlefoot's body were from the pack he brought with him. They were trying to just snatch him and run out with him as soon as they could.
Lily growled softly at Cira, who got up and left. Compared to Taro, her Sharptooth was a lot... cuter.
"Don't worry about it," she said to Nahla after the fast biter had left. "It's not your fault. I should be the one apologising. I was the one who left you for dead."

Nahla sighed "Can you tell me what I did while that ghost was me?"
With a laugh Hades dropped Littlefoot to the fastbiters below "Enjoy" he smiled.
Nani walked up next to him laughing,it was clear this was Nahla's mother.

"Well... you and Jenna sort of became team evil," Lily explained. "You were insulting mainly Grandma and Grandpa, kept saying horrible things about Littlefoot dying, said you were setting us up... and then we had a bit of fight at the end which resulted in... this..."
Suddenly the fast biters from the valley started attacking the ones from the Shadowlands, and two of them went for Littlefoot's body.

Nahla looked down at the ground "Oh...I deserve to die then by the sounds of it"
The Shadowland fastbiters growled at the valley ones telling them to get away from thier meal.
Littlefoot was coated in blood,he was tortured majorly and it showed.
Nani was looking around and spotted the longnecks. With a snarl she jumped out in front of them. Evil burning in her eyes.

"No you don't," Lily said, shaking her head. Cira soon came back with a large leaf which had water on it for Nahla, and the other longneck growled her thanks.
The valley fast biters just kept roaring and snapping at the other ones, while the two who went to Littlefoot tried to get him up. One picked the child up and placed him on the other's back, and they sprinted out of the valley via another route, seeing Nani with the longneck family.
"Nani?" Taro questioned, looking at the longneck. It looked a lot like her, including the evil in her eyes.

The Shadowlander fastbiters fled in anger growling about payback.
Nani nodded and laughed "Taro?" she gave an evil smirk her eyes drifting around the group "Jenna? Come to die have you?" she began circling them,she was covered in fresh blood,from Littlefoot by the looks of it.
Nahla raised her head and lapped up the water taking it all down in seconds,her eyes drifted to the ground "Is Littlefoot ok?" she whispered.

The valley fast biters also fled, following the two that had Littlefoot.
"Well, we were sort of just paying a visit and see if we could get Littlefoot," said Taro. He noticed the carnivores taking him out of the Shadowlands. "But... never mind. We'll be leaving now."

Nani laughed "Littlefoot is dead,murdered by myself. What an honor for him,to be killed by the own feet of the mighty Nani" she laughed insanely.

"You're insane," said Grandma, shaking her head with disbelief.
"Yeah, we were just about to go anyway," said Taro. "Come on guys, there's no need for us to be here any more." He turned to walk away, but stopped, whispering to his mother that the fast biters had Littefoot when she gave him a confused look.

Nani laughed and walked off.
Littlefoot was coated in blood and had wounds everywhere,just what did they do tot him? One of his legs dangles completely useless.
Jenna ran forward screaming at the sight of her son.
Nahla closed her eyes for a second before asking "Lily? I just wanna say...I think of you as..like a cousin....but I feel you more as a sister..but I guess we are called cousins now" she chuckled "Anyway bottom line is..I love you,you were the first friend I ever had you understood me when no one else did".

The fast biters backed off when the longneck family approached. All they could smell was fresh blood and if they didn't get away quickly it would drive them insane.
The longnecks were horrified at the sight of Littlefoot's body.
"Oh, my poor little one," Grandma cried, running up next to him. "What have they done to you...?"
Lily stayed silent for a while before eventually speaking. "Cousins sounds good," she said quietly. "But please don't call me a sister... I failed at being one of those completely...."

Jenna nudged Littlefoot hard "Littlefoot? Speak to me" tears poured down her eyes. She turned to the rest of the family in panic gaining to response from her son "What do we do?".
Nahla spat blood out of her mouth "I'm sure it was not like that...I failed as a daughter...twice"

"We need to take him back to that valley," said Taro. "I know something there that might help."
"Let's just hope that ghost doesn't show up again," Grandma muttered under her breath.
"If you think taking your sister's life away isn't being a complete failure..." Lily just realised what she was saying and ran off, tears flooding from her eyes.
Cira watched the young longneck and groaned something, but she didn't go after her. She was told to watch over Nahla, and that is what she was going to do.

"LILY!" Nahla screamed trying to get up and follow her,she managed to get some way before slipping and falling down a slope "What else can go wrong?" she groaned,her landing spot was out of sight. So she just laid there and cried silently.
Jenna looked down at her son "Do you think he is stable enough for the trip?"

Cira roared in shock. She kept growling, looking for Nahla, but calling for Lily.
"Well, if one of us has him on our back and we're careful, we might be all right," Taro said. He growled at the fast biters, telling them to leave, and they did so.

Jenna sighed "What are his odds of surviving?" she asked Taro still looking down at the mess that was her son.
Nahla moved further away,she was scared of the fastbiters. Because they reminded her too much of The Shadowlands. She did not undersatnd that these ones were gonna help her.

"I don't know... " he said quietly. "But this does remind me of... something close to when... I first found Lily."
Cira understood the fear of the young longneck and went to find someone else who might be able to help her.

Jenna sighed again and looked back at The Shadowlands "It saddens me knowing now this is what Nahla went through all her life..and speaking of Nahla and Lily we better get back..."
Renee walked forward carrying a plant "Here give your child these,they not a magical cure but it will keep him stable enough to survive your trip home" she nodded and began to walk away as Hades called out her name,he knows what she had just did.

Grandma looked at the plant that Renee had given her.
"Do you think we can trust her?" she asked.
"She's here?" came a voice. Two fast biters approached Nahla. One was Cira, the other was a fast biter who could speak leaf-eater.

Jenna huffed "Could be poison for all we know"
Nahla shook in fear backing up,her blue eyes wide.
-
"Yeah," Taro agreed. "She may be trying to help us but she's a Shadowlander. That and Nahla never said anything about her being nice, or anything at all. I thought she was abused by everyone she knows, and that could include her."
"Hey, it's okay," said the other fast biter, who was larger than Cira was. "We're not gonna hurt you, okay?" Cira growled something. "Cira was wondering if you wanted something to eat?" the other one translated. Cira nodded, looking at Nahla with concern in her eyes.

Jennna thought a second "Do you think she tried to stop us by keeping a busy by her little chit chat? She knew Littlefoot was dying and she just stood there talking like everything was fine.." she shook her head "Do we give Littlefoot the plant or no?"
Nahla just whimpered "Fastbiters are bad..you's work for my father" she did not seem to understand that this was a different pack.

"Hmm... I wouldn't," said Taro. "Just in case. We'll bring it anyway if he gets any worse... but I can send one of the fast biters ahead if we need that other plant I was talking about."
The other fast biter scoffed. "We work for nobody," she said. "And certainly not a longneck... well, maybe Taro, but that's only because he's family to us." She growled at Cira, telling her to find some food for the longneck, and she walked off. "Name's Ahra, by that way," said the larger one that stayed. "What's yours?"

Jenna stared at the plant "But what if it isn't poison?" she questioned herself outloud.
Nahla took shaky breath "N-N-N-Nahla but..my parents call me 'Dud'".
-
"We don't know," said Grandpa. "But I don't to take the risk."
"Gee, that's a bit harsh," said Ahra, walking closer to Nahla. "Well, nice to meet you Nahla."

Jenna turned away from them "How do we move him without injuring him more? He is barely stable..."
Nahla shook "Please don't hurt me"
-
"Hmm... maybe the same way the fast biters got him out," Taro said, thinking.
"I won't," said Ahra. "I think someone's got food for you."
Cira came back dragging a large treestar with a variety of other leaves and tree sweets on it. She seemed to have a fresh wound on her leg but tried to hide it. She growled softly, looking slightly uneasy.
"She said she didn't know what you like, so she just got everything," Ahra translated.

Suddenly a growl was heard as Nani walked forward,Renee followed behind "My mother here is telling me your in my lands" she snarled.
Renee had a smirk on her face while glaring at the family.
Nahla tilted her head at the food "Thats food?Real food/!! Wow real food...I never seen real food before" she said in amazement.

"As I was saying..." said Taro. "We can't trust her and that's final, and here's the proof!"
Grandma was disgusted. She was starting to feel sorry for Renee, but once again, she was betrayed.
The fast biters chuckled. "Well, enjoy!" said Ahra, but her face fell when she saw Cira looking very grave. "What's wrong?" she asked.
"Lily," Cira answered. "I haven't seen her since she ran off. I'm so worried..."

Nahla grabbed some treesweets liking her lips.
Nani growled "Explain yourselves fools!" she shouting kicking Littlefoot in the head while she was at it.

Grandma was furious. "YOU LEAVE MY GRANDSON ALONE!" she yelled, charging at Nani.
"Uh oh," Taro muttered, running forward to help her. The fast biter pack, though at a distance, saw what was happening and came sprinting to aid the family.
Ahra and Cira kept talking, before Cira's eyes widened.
"Stay with this one," she instructed before running off. Ahra noticed her limping and was about to say something but Cira was already out of sight.

Nani just laughed and picked up the child tossing him down a slope "Oops" she smiled.
Jenna screamed and sprinted after her son,she threw herself next to him and checked him over before screaming out "LITTLEFOOT CAN'T BREATHE! HE IS TRYING BUT HE CAN'T!"

One of the fast biters sprinted over to Littlefoot while the others attacked.
"Sis, let him help!" Taro yelled over the roaring. "He's a healer!"
Grandma and Grandpa charged at Nani, both filled with rage.

Nani smirked as a black longneck jumped in front of her.
Hades was tall even for a longneck he was huge,his scales were as black as the sky on the darkest night and his eyes glowed bright red he chuckled and the other Shaodowlander longnecks walked up next to them,they all shared the same evil sparkle in their eyes.
Jenna looked at the fastbiter "He can't breathe.." she whispered.

Taro went next to his parents. "We're outnumbered," he said as the fast biters backed up, as if they were protecting the good longnecks. All of them began to back of slowly.
The male that went up to Littlefoot rolled him over and started doing something that would get him breathing again. He looked behind him and worry filled his eyes when he saw the others.

Hades smirked "Still want a fight?" he asked nodding to his herd,there had to be about 25 of them there,plus the 15 fastbiters Hades allowed to stay in The Shadowlands.
Jenna nuzzled her son tears in her eyes she turned to the fastbiter "Will he live?".

3 longnecks and 6 fast biters were no match for this herd. They gradually kept backing off.
The fast biter nodded and looked at Jenna. He pointed to her face and then Littlefoot. He needed to hurry up if they were going to get out safely.

Jenna tilted her head "What you trying to tell me?"
Hades laughed "You got 5 seconds to run or I'll give my herd the cue to attack"
-
"We should probably just do as he says," said Grandpa. Taro nodded and roared at the fast biters to retreat and they ran off towards the valley again.
The fast biter walked next to Littlefoot and gestured at Jenna to bring her head next to them.

Jenna did that tears pouring from her eyes.
Hades nodded and roared to his herd leading them away.
-
The fast biter carefully picked Littlefoot up and placed him on Jenna's head before climbing on himself. Taro soon joined them and fast biter growled something at him.
"He's going to keep Littlefoot stable there," he said. "Just in case. Now, we need to get out of here, and fast."
Grandma and Grandpa joined them with the other fast biters, panting. They weren't too used to running any more.

Jenna slowly raised her head "Lets go" and began to walk trying balance both Littlefoot and the fastbiter.
Littlefoot still seemed passed out,not responding to the world around him

Everyone started to walk back to the valley. The fast biter kept tending to Littlefoot's wounds carefully on the way.
"Hey," came a voice behind Nahla. Lily had returned.

Nahla raised her head and smiled "Lily! I thought you left me forever!"
-
Lily shook her head. "No... but I need you to promise me something," she whispered.
-
Nahla nodded "I promise...promise what?"
-
"The sister thing," said Lily. Her eyes were on Nahla but she wasn't exactly looking at her. She was in her own world again. "Don't tell anyone else, okay? Otherwise I won't be welcome in very many places."
-
Nahla looked down before nuzzling Lily " I promise. I wont tell a soul"
-
"There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about my family and her, or what I did to her," Lily said quietly, tears falling from my eyes. "I hate him for what he did to us..."
-
Nahla sighed "It'll be ok Lily" the younger girl said "You don't drag on with the past,nor do you think about the future. Just focus on the present" Nahla began sobbing "Everyone in my birthplace is evil,but I don't want to be evil Lily. I don't like making others sad. I want to be good and make others happy. Now everyone thinks I'm evil..expect you Lily..and the grown ups. And then I go and blow it e even though it was not me really,IT'S NOT FAIR. Why must I always have to be sad?" she stopped talking and leaned into Lily sobbing.

"I guess I belong in the Shadowlands," Lily said quietly. "I'm evil..."

Nahla raised her head "No your not"

"I am though," Lily argued. "I took a life away Nahla, that isn't something someone like me can just forget. Even if I was forced into it by... him..."

Nahla just whispered something that sounded alot like "I wish someone would take away my life".
Jenna smiled seeing the valley "We made it,hope the girls are alright"

"That's what my sister said when our grandpa killed our parents and older brother," said Lily. "Both of them forced me into it... and I eventually gave in... I will never forgive myself for it.
"Yeah, me too," said Grandma.

Nahla stared at Lily "Can you kill me? Please,I'll do anything"
-
"Do you have any idea what happened after I killed my sister?!" Lily exclaimed. "I was tortured! I was left on my own! I was bullied by everyone I thought loved me! I had nobody to care for me and I nearly ended up taking my own life! I just got a life back and I am not risking that AGAIN!" The last sentence was nearly a scream, and a few moments later Lily ran off again.

Nahla sighed "Then I'll just have to kill myself..since no one will do it for me" she said unaware of how close the family was.
-
"Nahla?" said Grandma, only just seeing the longneck. "There you are!" She didn't seem to hear what she had just said.
"Where's Lily?" Taro asked her.
-
"Ran off" Nahla answered not even looking back.
-
"Oh... why?" Grandpa questioned.
-
"Don't know something about not 'risking that again'" Nahla replied stopping by a bush of poison food.
-
"Whoa!" Taro grabbed Nahla by the tail and carried her up into the air. "You don't want to eat those," he warned.
-
"And why not?" Nahla asked.
Jenna had gone back to the resting place,she lowered her head down to let the fatsbiter carry Littlefoot off.
-
"Because they're poisonous," Taro explained. "You don't want to get poisoned, do you?"
The fast biter carefully carried Littlefoot off and placed him on the ground. He had already done a good job of cleaning Littlefoot, and went off to find some treestars to cover up the worst wounds.

"Yes I do" Nahla said bitterly.
Jenna laid next to Littlefoot,she looked around for her family "Mum? Dad? Taro?"
-
"Now don't start that again," said Grandma. "I don't need any more grief."
Grandpa sighed and went to Jenna. "How is he?" he asked as the fast biter came back with treestars and covered the wounds on Littlefoot's body.
-
"I'm just bringing bad luck and trouble" Nahla agured.
"Weak" Jenna answered "I don't think he is gonna live Dad..."
-
"I don't really care if you do," said Grandma. "You're not ending your life and that's final." With that final word, she went off to where her mate and daughter were.
"He's been through so much already..." said Grandpa whilst in thought. "The only thing I suppose we can do is hope."
-
Jenna sobbed "Do you think he is ever gonna even wake up again?" she said looking at her unconscious son.
-
Grandpa nuzzled Jenna gently. "I don't know," he answered. "I suppose that we should probably expect the worst, but hope for the best."
-
"This is all my fault,I neglected him! It's all my fault...I pretty much killed my own son...I'm a murderer" Jenna screamed sobbing.
-
"It's not your fault, Jenna," said Grandma as she walked through the trees. "Sometimes these things just... happen... and nobody will ever know why..."
-
"Those Shadowlanders will pay,all of them. No matter what. THEY WILL PAY!" Jenna said standing up "I should go check on Nahla,can you watch Littlefoot for a bit?" she asked her parents.
-
"Of course," said Grandpa. The fast biter was still tending to Littlefoot's wounds, already making him look a lot better.
-
Jenna walked acrosss the valley calling her daughter "NAHLA! NAHLA!".
Nahla just stared at the bush of poisn food.
-
"She's over here!" Taro called, watching Nahla very carefully.
-
Jenna walked up to them stopping next to her brother "Nahla..come".
Nahla did not answer or move,just stared at the bush.
-
Taro nudged the pink longneck. "Go, Nahla," he insisted.
-
Jenna sighed and walked forward picking her up "Taro,can you go look at Littlefoot? I know he is dying but...how long does he have left?...he can't recover from that...not matter how many times someone tells me I won't believe it"
-
"I'm not sure, sis," Taro answered. "But I'll go and look after him for you." He walked to where Littlefoot was.
-
Jenna followed after him carrying the screaming and thrashing Nahla in her mouth.
-
Lily stumbled into the area where Littlefoot was. She looked up to Littlefoot's grandparents, surprised.
"Oh... hi," she said. "I didn't know you guys were back."
-
Jenna arrived back looking very stressed.
Nahla was still thrashing and screaming.
-
"Lily!" Taro cried, running up to his adopted daughter. "I was worried about you! Nahla said you ran off."
"I'm fine," she answered, smiling weakly at him. She looked over at Littlefoot, a little disturbed at what she saw. "You found him..." she whispered.
"Yes... just on time," Taro replied. "...perhaps a little too late..."

Jenna was rocking Nahla "I'm gonna put her down for a nap" she said over Nahla's screaming.
(Nahla only 5 leave her alone :lol)

"Okay!" Grandma yelled over the screaming.
"I wouldn't mind a nap either," said Lily. "But I don't really think I'll get an easy sleep right now." She looked up at Nahla, with some sympathy in her eyes.

With Jenna's gentle rocking Nahla soon fell quiet and fell asleep.
Jenna smiled and licked her putting her 'treestar blanket' over her. She sighed and looked down at Lily "Do you want anything to eat?" she asked quietly.

"No, I'm good thanks," said Lily, before her stomach growled loudly. "Er... I just feel a bit sick at the moment, actually, so I don't want to risk eating and then throwing up everywhere."

"You should really eat something,it will make you feel better. Or your just gonna get dizzy and tired" Jenna said raising her head "I need to be by my sons side right now,but please Lily dear,do eat" she walked off slowly

Lily groaned but did as Jenna said and ate a couple of small treestars. Taro picked her up and took her to a quieter place.
"How come you ran off?" he asked.
"I, er... I let slip about... you-know-what," she answered quietly. Taro was surprised, but didn't say anything for a while. "I asked her not to tell anyone else, so hopefully they won't know... but what if they find out?"
"They won't," said Taro, nuzzling her. "And if they do, I'll kick up the biggest fuss ever. Anyway, shall we get back to the others?" Lily chuckled and followed him.

Jenna hang her head over Littlefoot "Do you think...we should just let him go?" she closed her eyes dreading the answer.

Grandma shook her head. "No... we just need to wait..." She was desperate to just speak to her grandson again, even if only for a few minutes. She began to let silent tears fall.
A few moments later Taro and Lily joined them, both seeming in a down mood again.
-
Littlefoot's eyes slowly opened he screamed and closed them again.
Jenna understanding turned to her family "The bright circle is burning his eyes,it's too light for him"
-
Grandma moved, her shadow casting down on Littlefoot and shielding him from the light of the bright circle.
"Hopefully that'll make it a bit better," she commented.

Littlefoot whimpered "It was horrible..." he said suddenly shaking.
-
"Oh Littlefoot," said Grandpa quietly. "I'm so sorry we didn't get to you sooner..."
-
Littlefoot shook "There was blood everywhere...they all came for me.." he turned his head and grabbed a small stone on a vine which he had been hiding "This was also there,they said it belonged to The Dud who used to live in that cave her name was Nahla but a beautiful name was wasted on thrash....that was Nahla's home...and that was her blood..it was awful" he sobbed dropping the stone.

"Well, it's all over now," said Grandma, nuzzling him very carefully.
"You said that belonged to Nahla?" Lily questioned.
-
Littlefoot choked back a sob "Yeah..they said she made it herself..she used to hug and crying after her beatings..they could hear her asking it to take her spirit away..they said the cave I was in...Nahla stayed there all her life..in 5 years..they never let her out of it.." Littlefoot kept sobbing disstressed about what he saw and heard there.

"Oh the poor little thing..." Grandma whispered. "I'm so sorry you had to see such a horrible thing, little one."
Lily went up next to Littlefoot. "May I?" She was talking about the stone.

Littlefoot nodded groaning in pain and handed the stone over to Lily. "Grandma I'm sorry I did something so stupid like jump off a canyon..."
-
"I know, Littlefoot," Grandma sighed.
Lily inspected the stone. "Wow...."
-
Nahla awoke with a yawn,she shook her head unaware her past was now out in the open.
Littlefoot buried his head into Grandma's leg "I don't wanna go back there Grandma...I'll be good I just never want to go back there"
-
"Don't worry," said Grandma. "You are never going back there. I promise."
-
Nahla stood up much calmer after her nap. She looked around the valley unsure what to do,she was soo used to that dark damp smelly cave.
-
Lily walked up to Nahla. "I think I have something belonging to you," she said, revealing the stone."
-
Nahla stared in shock "Where...did you get that"
-
"Littlefoot had it," Lily explained. "I thought you might want it back?"
-
Nahla grabbed it without another word,she dropped to the ground sobbing the memories coming crashing down on her as she hugged her stone.
-
Lily just watched her in silence. "I'll leave you alone if you want."
-
Nahla began to breathe rapid and shallow,her body shook.
Jenna looked over and panicked 'Nahla's going into shock!" she screamed.
-
"Uh oh," Lily muttered, running up to her. "Nahla? Nahla!"
-
(Darn phone!! :bang)

Nahla's world began to spin,she began to sweat her breathing getting even more rapid.
Littlefoot raised his head to see what was going on.

Lily started to panic. "Do something!" she cried.
-
Jenna looked around "I dont know what to do!" she cried.
-
"Oh for goodness sake!" Grandma moved and lay down next to Nahla, trying to comfort her.
Grandpa took her place in front of the bright circle.
-
"Why don't you move her?" Littlefoot whispered "The state of me isn't helping I guess..."
-
"Okay. I'll be back soon," said Grandma, picking up Nahla and walking off to somewhere quieter.
-
Nahla started calming down clinging to Grandma like she never wanted to let go
-
"Nahla... I thought things were starting to get better with you," Grandma sighed. "What happened? Is it about that stone?"
-
Nahla let out a weird nosie,which pretty much comfrimed it was the stone.
-
Grandma just sighed and nodded. "I suppose I can't really imagine what you went through," she said quietly. "Even with what happened to Littlefoot... so much damage was done to him..." She decided to stop herself in case it got any worse.
-
"I like it outside" Nahla said suddenly "It's not dark and smelly like the cave was"
-
Grandma nodded. "Yeah... the open is very nice..." She sighed, nuzzling Nahla gently.

Nahla buried herself in Grandma "I love you Grandma"
-
Grandma chuckled. "I love you too, Nahla," she said quietly.
-
Nahla raised her head and gasped in amazment seeing a waterfall "WOW!" she exclaimed her eyes widen amazed.

Grandma also noticed it and smiled. "Do you want to go there?" she asked.

Nahla nodded "YEAH! Can we? PLEASE?" Nahla beg jumping up and down.

"Okay, then," said Grandma, but she seemed a little hesitant. She looked back to where Littlefoot was, feeling a stab of guilt before trying to shrug it off and turning back to Nahla with a forced smile on her face.

Jenna walked up to Grandma and whispered in her ear "Littlefoot has gone into a collapse state,take Nahla somewhere else for a while"
Littlefoot had indeed 'collapsed' he used too much energy too fast.
-
Grandma immediately got worried and felt extremely guilty, sort of wishing she had been at her grandson's side. However she did as she was told, picking up Nahla and heading in the direction of the waterfall.

Jenna walked back to Littlefoot "Taro is there anything we can do for him?" she asked.
"Is Littlefoot sick Grandma?" Nahla asked confused.
-
"I think he just needs lots of rest," Taro answered, looking at him. "I'll get that healer to check him out later to make sure there's no other problems."
"I don't know if he's sick, but I do know that he is very weak and injured," Grandma said.

Nahla looked down "Oh..I know how he is feeling.."
-
Grandma just nodded but didn't say anything for a while. Seeing Littlefoot in such a state as well as the recent events had made her quite depressed.
-
Nahla just scanned the distance 'Are we there yet?" she asked excited she never saw a waterfall yet
-
"Nearly," Grandma answered, staring at the ground. Silent tears were falling down her face.
-
"Whats wrong Grandma?" Nahla asked tears starting in her own eyes thinking she made Grandma sad.
-
"It's just... Littlefoot..." Grandma sighed. "After what's happened lately... I haven't felt more useless to him."
-
"Your not Grandma,your amazing! I wanna be like when I grow up!" Nahla said happily hugging her.
-
Grandma smiled weakly in return. "We're here," she said softly as she finally reached the waterfall.
-
Nahla grinned "YAY! IT SO PRETTY! AND CLEAR!" her eyes showed excitment and amazement.
-
Grandma smiled at her and lay down. "Do you want to go an explore for a bit? I need to rest... and think," she said.
-
Nahla nodded and ran off,she jumped on to a rock and stuck her head under the waterfall squealing with delight before pulling it back a huge smile on her face,her tail was waving happily.
-
Grandma decided to have a nap for a little while. The journey to and from the Shadowlands as well as all of the stress of what had happened had exhausted her. However, as soon as she fell asleep she was plagued with horrendous sleep stories, and she kept moving and groaning, and came very close to screaming.

Nahla jumped down and sat in front of Grandma confused "Grandma? Wake up!" she poked her before something grabbed her. Nahla turned to see a Shadowladner fastbiter with a hold on her. Before she could scream a gag was tied around her mouth.
Hades stepped out and looked down on her "Your beloved new family spillled the beans you were alive...we can't have that now can we" he laughed and raised his foot over her bringing it down on her side before snapping her up and walking off.
(Poor Longnecks....Zimmy is EVIL she comes back tomorrow...we shall all slap her)

Grandma jerked awake from her terrifying sleep story. "Nahla?" she called, not seeing the young one anywhere. "Nahla!" She ran off in search of her.
Meanwhile the fast biters had returned to their resting places on the outskirts of the valley, except for Cira and Ahra. They were wandering around talking to each other before spotting Nahla... and Hades.
"Oh no... go and warn the leaf-eaters," Cira ordered.
"But... what about you? Ahra questioned.
"I'll get the otherss, now go!" Cira demanded, sprinting away.

Nahla let out muffled screams "HELP!". Hades found what he wanted and stopped where Taro and Grandpa were,Littlefoot was luckily out of his sights he smirked and showed them the gagged up Nahla "Want her back?" he taunted,

Taro and Grandpa gasped in shock.
"Nahla!" Grandpa cried. Ahra came through the bushes, but it seemed the leaf-eaters already knew what had happened.
"Leave her alone," she snarled at Hades, standing in front of the others.

Hades just laughed in all their faces "I will,but I want say...a ransom"
-
"Ransom?" Taro questioned. "Sheesh, I thought you didn't want her, so why don't you just leave her alone and let her get on with her life?"
-
Hades laughed again 'Why? This thing will get me something I always wanted,all this little thing you call a child is-is a key to my happiness and power"
-
"Huh? Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't listening," Ahra said mockingly, earning herself a slight kick from Taro. "But seriously, someone as despicable as you doesn't deserve happiness and power. In fact, you'd be better off rotting in a deep hole."
Taro cleared his throat, a clear sign that she should shut up, and she did just that.

"I want this valley" Hades said darkly.
Nani walked up beside him and held a sharp rock to Nahla's throat to prove their point.
-
"It's not ours to give," Grandpa said calmly.
-
"Then take us to who owns it" Hades snarled,the rest of his herd coming up behind him.
Nani chuckled pressed the rock harder against Nahla's throat leaving a cut but she did not take it off as Nahla began to choke.
-
"It doesn't belong to anyone," Ahra moaned. "And it never will."
-
Hades rolled his eyes "You don't want this little item back very much do you?" he said. The 'item' he was spekaing of was Nahla.
-
"Just give her back," Taro growled. "What do you want with this valley anyway? You have your own land, don't you?"
Just then the other fast biters came through the bushes, snarling and snapping. There were many more this time, around 50 who lived around the valley, but even with that number they weren't all there yet.
-
Hades bored began to turn away "Whatever'" he walked off annoying his idea failed.
Nani glanced at the family,tossing Nahla like she was nothing more then trash and followed Hades.
Jenna who was frozen in shock before now roared and charged after Nani and Hades shouting over her shoulder "Take care of the kids,I need to put an end to these two"

"Sis, wait!" Taro cried, chasing after her. "Dad, look after the kids!"
Grandpa was just left frozen in shock, but after a few moments he came back to his senses and went over to Nahla while still keeping a sharp eye on Littlefoot, but it seemed the fast biters there were doing that job for him.

Nani heard the siblings coming and charged forward ramming Jenna right in her chest.
Jenna gasped in shock as she was knocked to the ground by the sudden impact.
Nahla was screaming and crying,well sorta as she still had her gag.
-
Grandpa took the gag off. "Oh my... are you all right, Nahla?" he asked with extreme concern.
"Nobody does that to my sister!" Taro growled, getting ready to attack but not charging straight away, he had a different way of fighting.
-
Nahla screamed and sobbed loudly,marks on her legs from when she was tossed. But her injures were not serious.
Nani chuckled "Bring it on Taro" she challenged the one she once called friend many years ago.
-
Meanwhile in The Great Valley. Mr Threehorn roared to start a meeting.
Cera ran through the valley looking for the gang "GUYS!" she shouted.
-
Grandpa started tending to her while most of the fast biters went after Taro.
Taro just glared at her. "You first," he said.
-
Nani smiled "I'll be glad too" she stomped her feet before going into full charge.
Littlefoot was shaking,he saw what just happened. He eyed the fastbiters in panic. Attempting to stand up and flee,putting weight on his shattered (Thanks to Hades) leg he fell back to the ground which caused him more panic.

Taro backed up against a large tree, ready to dodge Nani's attack. He didn't really enjoy injuring others himself, after something that happened with one of the fast biters a few years ago.
"Littlefoot!" Grandpa cried, running up to him.
-
Nani lowered her head to aim at Taro's chest when something rammed into her.
Jenna collided into Nani with all her weight sending both females to the ground. Jenna quickly regained her feet and stood over the still down Nani.
-
"What did you that for?" Taro complained, frowning. "I was going to send her head-first into this tree." It was clear that he was joking and was actually quite impressed with his sister.
-
Nani jumped to her feet ramming Jenna,
Jenna seeming unfazed bashed Nani with her head,only to be pinned down by soemthing black.
Hades had knocked Jenna to the ground and had placed his two front feet on her back.
(Zimmy wants me to finish the battle off as Jenna then she taking her back)

Taro wasn't interested in finding a way to not injure anyone any more. He charged at Hades and rammed into him with a strong force.

Hades roared in pain as he landed on his shoulder.
Nani stood up and backed off panting needing time to plan an actual battle.
Jenna raised her head and looked at herself,Hades seemed to have injured her back.
Littlefoot hearing the roars doubled his attempts to flee,his eyes showed fear and shock. He crashed heavily the ground over and over during his attempts.

Taro ran to his sister. "Are you okay, Jenna?" he asked with concern.
Grandpa picked up both of the children. "We need to find Grandma," he said, walking off with the healer fast biter that had helped Littlefoot earlier.

Nahla clung on to Littlefoot shaking.
Littlefoot also clung on to Nahla,the two adopted siblings huddled up together shaking.
Jenna shook her head "I'm ok,just got the wind knocked out of me and... a bit of a sore back" she admitted
-
Grandpa soon found his mate, but she was not in a good state. She had collapsed on the ground, unconscious, and her front leg was bleeding like she had cut herself on a sharp rock.
Taro took a look at her back quickly, cringing slightly when he the large chunk that had been removed from that sharptooth.
(Omg I just got sent home from school. I honestly couldn't stop crying. :cry)

Littlefoot caught side of his Grandma and could not handle it. Going into complete shock,he swayed collapsing completely hitting the ground with a thud knocking himself out.
Nahla stared down at him "Umm...Granpda? I think Littlefoot just died..." she seemed very confused.
Jenna sighed "We better go find the others,while dodo over there is knocked out" she nodded to Hades standing up slowly.
(Annnd Littlefoot faints...which would be my reaction if I saw my family member like that)

Grandpa looked at both of them in shock. "No..." He nudged his mate. "Dear? Wake up, please wake up..." he whispered in between sobs.
"Yeah, perhaps we should go," Taro agreed.

Nahla slid down and sat next to Littlefoot placing her head on his chest and pulling back sighing,she could not hear the light breathing and thought him dead. She grabbed a treestar and covered his body up before sitting down and sobbing.
Jenna arrived at the scene,she saw Nahla covering up Littlefoot completely,something she knew some dinosaurs do after a death cover up the body of the dead dinosaur.

Grandpa collapsed next to his wife, still sobbing. He knew he shouldn't have left her alone.
Taro stared in complete shock. "What happened...?"

Jenna choked back a sob taking it all in "Littlefoot has lost the battle for life...." she explained "And mum is...." she could not say anymore.
-
Grandma suddenly groaned but didn't open her eyes.
"What... happened...?" she whispered.
-
Nahla spoke up "Littlefoot...dead..he..just dropped dead from Grandpa.." she said timidly.
-
Grandma didn't hear; she had already slipped back into unconsciousness from the blood loss.
Taro just stood there, crying silently. "Where's Lily?" he asked. She had run off again.
-
Jenna's mind had gone blank,her son had slowly died and she could not even been by his side.
-
The healer fast biter checked him over and snarled something at Taro. His eyes widened in shock.
"You've gotta be kidding me..." he whispered. The fast biter just shook his head in reply.
-
Jenna stared at him 'What he say?" she sobbed.
-
Taro looked at his sister and frowned. "He said he doesn't know what the fuss is all about. Littlefoot's just fainted."
-
"But Nahla said..." a shocked Jenna turned her gaze to the little 5 year old.
Nahla gasped and began to back off thinking they would think she tried to kill him and pretended he was dead.
-
The fast biter said something else.
"He said it's an easy mistake for a child to make," Taro translated. "That and fast biters have better hearing than longnecks do so he could find a heartbeat better- Hey!"
The fast biter gave Taro a toothy grin while the longneck glared at him.
-
Jenna closed her eyes "What about mum?" she asked quietly.
Nahla had left the scene to go look for Lily.
-
"I'll be fine," Grandma whispered again, overhearing the conversation. She opened her eyes and smiled at her daughter. "I just tripped and cut my leg that all."
-
Jenna smiled relived "And you and Littlefoot have me a right ole' heartattack" chuckled uncovering her son and placing him next to Grandma before gritting her teeth remembering the injury Hades gave her.
-
"Let me have a look at that," said Taro, looking at her. "You should lie down for a bit."
"You can stop now," Grandma said to her sobbing mate, who soon turned his sobs in chuckles, and it looked like he was laughing and crying at the same time. "Strange old longneck, you are," Grandma joked.

Jenna shook her head "I need to go find Lily and Nahla..the Shadowlanders are still wandering around"
-
"I'll come with you," said Taro. He turned to his parents. "You two... stick together, okay?"
"Can do," said Grandma. She gritted her teeth when she finally noticed the pain in her leg. Grandpa immediately started tending to it.
Lily was with Ahra, just chatting about something.

Nahla was lost,she walked along sobbing. The little 5year old longneck stopped and looked around terrified "Mummy!" she called sobbing before walking further into the Fastbites home.
Jenna glanced down at Littlefoot concern on her face.
-
Lily and Ahra heard Nahla's shouts and ran up to her.
"What are you doing here? Do you want to get eaten?!" Ahra exclaimed.
"Leave her, Ahra," Lily scolded. "Come on Nahla," she said, walking further into the valley.
"We'll look after him for now, Jenna," Grandpa promised. "Go and find the other children."

Nahla followed her sobbing heavily.
Jenna nodded and with a nod to Taro began to walk off hoping to spot the girls.
-
Ahra went with them just in case anyone else found them before Taro and Jenna did.
Taro thought he heard something. "This way," he said.
-
Jenna followed him shouting "NAHLA! LILY!".
Littlefoot now by had awoken from his fainting fit,he shook his head wondering what happened.
-
"Hello, sleepyhead," said Grandma, nuzzling him.
Lily heard the yells and headed towards them.
-
Jenna caught sight of Lily and rushed over to her.
Littlefoot moaned "What happened?"
-
Grandpa quickly covered up Grandma's injured leg.
"You sort of... fainted," he said.
Ahra was next to Nahla, slightly more concerned for her safety rather than Lily's.
"Hi Jenna," said Lily. "I suppose you were looking for Nahla?"
-
Jenna smiled "Looking for both of you,you's alright?".
Nahla began nudging Ahra,her toodler curiosity overcoming her fear.
Littlefoot seemed confused "I what?"
-
Lily nodded.
Ahra looked back at Nahla and smiled at her.
"You collapsed at the sight of Grandma," said Grandpa. "Understandable, I guess." He gave his mate a grin.
"Hey," she complained, giving him a light whack with her tail before chuckling.
-
Nahla walked closer to Ahra nudging her harder before licking the fastbiter on the cheek.
Littlefoot looked behind him then back at his grandparents "Oh ok..when can we go home?' he asked.
-
Ahra smiled. "Well, can't say I've met a young longneck besides Lily who has taken so well to me," she chuckled.
"Soon... hopefully," said Grandma.
"When your grandmother's recovered, then we can go home," said Grandpa.
-
Jenna smiled the two "Nahla come now,time for your bath".
Littlefoot moved closer to them "But what if he is there?" he said referring to Zimba.
-
"I'm sure your mother would soon take care of him," Grandpa commented. "Besides, it'll be four adults against one adolescent. I'm going to have a guess at who will win that one."
-
Jenna picked up Nahla placing he ron her back "Stay there missy" she chuckled and looked down at Lily "You want a ride back too?'
-
"Uh... okay, then," said Lily, seeming a bit unsure. "If that's okay with you, of course."
-
Jenna smiled "Not at all,hop on" she lowered her head to Lily's level.
Nahla laid curled up on Jenna's back finding amusment with flicking her own tail. She giggled as she bashed herself in the face.
-
Zimba had left the Great Valley after finding out Littlefoot had fled. He wandered back into his 'home' unaware that the family was there. He stood on a ledge a frown on his face,he lost is target for now..but that'll have to go back one day and when they so Zimba will be right behind them.
-
Lily hopped on and sat next to Nahla, smiling at Taro.
"Aw, don't I get a ride?" Ahra joked.
"Nope," Taro answered, grinning back at her. "You're a grown-up, you can walk." Ahra gave him an unamused but smiled with amusement after a few moments.
-
Nahla kept flicking her tail as Jenna began to walk back.
Jenna looked over her shoulder "Nahla your tail will fall of if you don't stop that" she chuckled.
-
Lily giggled while Taro walked behind them.
Meanwhile Grandpa finished cleaning up his mate's leg. He told her that she probably shouldn't get up for a good day or so in case it got too sore.
"So... how did you do it?" he asked her eventually.
"Well, I was in my own world, thinking about how useless I was... and I wasn't looking where I was going so I walked into a large sharp rock a cut my leg," she said, looking at the rock. "I tripped over after that."
"You weren't being useless," said Grandpa, nuzzling her gently. "Come on, everyone's really worried about you and in a way, we all need you. That's not being useless if you ask me."

Littlefoot popped up his head "It was my fault,I'm the one who jumped"
Nahla stopped flicking her tail as a buzzer landed on her nose,she tried to blow it away after that failed she used her tail to smack it,which caused it to sting her. She began sobbing.
(Awww Nahla got bee sting she need a hug)

Grandma didn't answer, not believing anyone.
"Look, bad things have happened," said Granpda. "But everything is done now, and we can't dwell in the past. Let's just try and move on from this, shall we?"
Lily looked over at Nahla, unaware of what happened until she saw the sting on her face.

Nahla kept on sobbing holding her nose.
Jenna stopped walking and turned her head "Nahla! What happened darling?'
-
"I think a buzzer stung her," Lily explained, looking at Nahla's nose.
-
"Oh dear" Jenna sighed rubbing Nahla gently "It ok,mummy will make sure that mean buzzer will never hurt you again" she licked her facing forward again.
Nahla shifted herself closer to Lily and buried herself into her side

Lily yawned and closed her eyes, ready a nap.
"She's all right, isn't she?" Ahra asked Taro about Jenna. He and Arha was behind them, and Taro just beamed up at his sister.
"She's amazing," he said.

Nahla huddled up with Lily and fell asleep breathing softly
-
Taro smiled at the two young girls and caught up with his sister.
"I wander how mother and Littlefoot are doing?" he wondered.
-
Littlefoot had dozed back off,still tired from his terrifying ordeal.
-
Grandma had also fallen asleep, too tired to do anything else. She also felt quite depressed about what had happened.
-
Jenna arrived back to where they were "Shhh" she whispered to Taro nodding to the sleeping Littlefoot and Grandma. She carefully picked up Nahla without waking her and put her down on the soft grass "You can get Lily settled" she whispered to Taro to not wake Grandma and the young ones.
-
Taro nodded and took Lily off Jenna's back and put her on the soft ground. She yawned and opened her eyes, smiling at Taro, but she closed her eyes again after few moments.
-
Jenna too laid down staring at the spot on her back where Hades got her.
-
Taro watched his mother for a while, clear concern in his eyes.
"Don't worry, Taro," Grandpa reassured him. "She'll be okay."
-
Jenna sighed and looked up at Taro smiling "You should rest"
-
"I'm fine," Taro insisted.
-
Jenna narrowed her eyes "Taro...." she said as if searching for a lie.
-
"Hmm?" Taro didn't even look at her... he seemed lost in his own world.
-
"Rest please" Jenna whispered.
-
"Honestly, I'm fine," Taro told her again.
-
Jenna sighed "Ok then have it your way stubborn guy" she turned away but a hint of a smile could be seen on her face
-
By this time Grandpa had also fallen asleep, snoring softly with his head right next to Grandma's.
Taro smiled weakly but soon frowned and turned to Jenna. "I can only imagine what they must have been through..." he sighed.

Jenna looked down "Lets not talk about that,lets just focus on making times happier"
-
"I worry about them sometimes," Taro sighed. "Mother especially. I had a sleep story recently that she ran off in shame... it felt so real..."

Jenna's eyes drifterd to the distance she spotted a red longneck staring at them "Who is that?'.

Zimbaa was staring at the family and shock,but his shocked turned into delight. Now they had nowhere to run,Littlefoot will die.

Taro's eyes widened in disbelief when he saw that longneck. "Trouble," he answered. "We have to get out of here!"
-
Jenna frowned "Why?"
-
"Because that's the guy who paralysed and tried to kill Littlefoot before you showed up," Taro explained, waking up Lily with a nudge.
-
Jenna gasped "What does he want from Littlefoot?" she said slowly backing off.
-
"He wants to kill him," said Taro, nudging his father awake this time. "Which is why we need to leave, now."
"What's going on?" Grandpa yawned.
"That red longneck is back for Littlefoot," Taro explained. The news shocked Grandpa wide awake now.
-
Littlefoot remained asleep completely unaware of what was going on.
-
Taro woke up Grandma and explained the situation to her. However, there was now a problem. Grandma's leg couldn't support her now and she just ended up collapsing in pain at each attempt to get up.
"Treesweets," she cursed under her breath.
"Right... we need another plan," said Taro. "Jenna, you need to get all of the kids out of here. Dad, go with her, and I'll stay here with Mother until she recovers."

Jenna nodded picking up Littlefoot and rushing over to Nahla doing the same. She lowered her head down for Lily.
Zimba started walking towards them,a rock could be seen in his mouth.
-
Lily climbed aboard, looking at Taro with worry. He nodded his head in reassurance and turned to his sister.
"Go," he said. "He's coming."
Grandma smiled at her daughter and nodded before Grandpa nuzzled her.
"I don't want to leave you," he whispered.
"I'll be fine," she answered, giving him a gentle lick. "Now, get out of here, both of you. We'll meet you back at the Great Valley."

Jenna nodded and started fleeing like her life depended on it.
Littlefoot and Nahla remained fast asleep even though they were being jolted with Jenna's heavy footsteps.

Grandpa stayed close behind, looking back every few moments in worry.
Taro let out a loud roar to gather the fast biters, just in case Zimba attacked them.
-
Zimba reached them and snarled "Now where did he go?" he said snarling at Taro.
-
"You probably shouldn't make your presence so obvious," Taro said calmly as the fast biters gathered around Grandma. "Either way, he's gone now."
-
Zimba snarled "Tell me where he is"
-
"I don't know," Taro explained. "But it's too late, anyway."
-
"What do you mean?" Zimba asked taking a step back.
-
Grandma focused on the pain in her leg and started sobbing softly. "He was so young," she cried, noticing what Taro was trying to get at here.
-
Zimba sighed annoyed "What you fools on about?" he asked not catching on.
-
Taro also let silent tears fall. The fast biters pretended to try and comfort the longnecks.
"We lost him far too soon," Taro sobbed.
-
Zimba tilted his head "He died?" he asked hopeful.
-
Taro nodded. "It was a terrible accident," he said, choking back fake sobs.
-
Zimba seemed interested "Tell me all about it" he smiled throwing his rock.
-
"He... he threw himself off a cliff," Taro explained. "But he survived that, but he was kidnapped by two horrible dinosaurs who tortured him. We tried to get to him... but we were too late. They dumped the body with us and now..." Taro seemed unable to finish his sentence.
-
"Now what?" Zimba asked sucked in by the fake story.
-
"I don't know," said Taro. "He's been put to rest forever now."
-
Zimba started laughing "Oh I hope his death was slow and painful" he seemed rto be happy over the death he did not catch on the story was fake and Littlefoot was alive and recovering.
-
"At least it's over..." Grandma whispered.
-
Zimba was still laughing "Oh this is too funny,hey you think he has gone to heaven?"
-
Ahra snook up behind Zimba and sunk her teeth into his leg, mostly for his bad attitude.
-
"OW! LET ME GO FREAK!" Zimba tried to get the fastbiter off himself.
-
Ahra let go of him, fresh blood around her lips. However, several other fast biters charged at him, growling and snapping.
"That's what you get for not showing respect!" Ahra yelled over them.
-
Zimba turned and fled,blood pouring from the bitten leg,
-
The fast biters retreated, and Taro smiled.
"Well, that's him off our backs for now," he said to his mother.
Meanwhile Grandpa found himself out of the valley. He didn't want to leave his wife behind, but he also didn't want Littlefoot to be killed. He trudged on, thinking.

Jenna also found herself on the outskirts,she walked along nevreous as she tried to sneak past Fastbites,the three children on her back.
-
Grandpa followed her, ready to fight if any fast biters attacked them, but most of them were asleep, having an afternoon nap after a meal.
-
Nahla began to wake,she looked up and yawned surprised to see they were on the move.
-
Lily stared straight ahead, not believing that she had left Taro behind.
-
Nahla looked around "Where we going?"
-
"Out of here," said Grandpa. "Probably back to the Great Valley."
-
"Wheres Grandma and Taro?" Nahla questioned very confused.
-
"Grandma couldn't get up, so Taro stayed with her," Grandpa explained.
-
Jenna not looking where she was going walked right into another longneck,she showed all signs of a Shadowlander but she was not Nani,Renee and of course she was not Hades.
-
Grandpa rushed to Jenna's side to make sure everyone was okay.
-
The stray Shadowlander just stared at them unsure of what she was meant to do.

Grandpa seemed quite scared of the Shadowlander, he didn't want a fight.
"Er... sorry about that," he said.

"It fine" the Shadowlander replied.
Jenna was slowly backing off.

Grandpa seemed surprised, and looked back at Jenna.

The Shadowlander seemed confused "Why so surprised?"

"Can I ask something?" Grandpa countered. "Are you from the Shadowlands?"

The female nodded "Yes I am...why?'
-
"Well, it's just that... every Shadowlander we've met so far has tried to kill us," said Grandpa.

The female sighed "Just because they are monsters,does not mean I am"
-
"I noticed that," Grandpa sighed, feeling guilty. "Sorry."
-
Jenna snarled from a few feet away "She might be lying"
-
Grandpa looked at the Shadowlander in deep thought. "What are you doing so far away from the Shadowlands?" he asked eventually.
-
The female looked down "I had enough and me and Nani got into a fight,they exiled me on the spot and set fast biters on me which..." she collapsed wounds now visiable.
Jenna huffed "Still say she is lying"

Grandpa examined the scars and looked back at his daughter. He wasn't too sure what to think at the moment.

Jenna started walking away "Forget it Dad,she deserves to die after what she and her herd have done"

Grandpa hesitated but he turned back to the Shadowlander. "If you're looking for food and shelter, there's a valley in that direction that has it," he whispered, pointing his head in that direction before following his daughter.

Nahla stared at The Shadowlander "She's new...I don't know her and I know all the Shadowlanders" Nahla tilted her head in thought.

Grandpa stopped in thought for a moment. "Hold up a moment, Jenna," he said, walking back to the Shadowlander. "Who are you?" he asked.

"Amanda" the female replied.
Littlefoot awoke from all the noise "Huh?" he questioned seeing Grandpa with a stranger
-
"Nice to meet you, Amanda," said Grandpa. "How long were you in the Shadowlands? That young girl over there has lived there all of her life and doesn't recognise you," he said, pointing towards Nahla.

"Only a few days.." Amanda sighed and looked at her scars "Yes I got all these in a few days..Hades killed my mate and children and forced me into his herd..." she sighed "Awful place,awful guy"

"I'm sorry," said Grandpa. "Hades kidnapped and almost killed my grandson. I suppose I am very lucky he is still here."

Amanda lowered her head "Yes I saw that,I wish I done something before it got that bad...." you could tell on her face she was blaming herself.
-
Grandpa said nothing, he just looked at the female with sympathy in his eyes. He knew it, he was going soft.

Jenna started walking again "Lets go Dad,forget her. The fastbiters would love the meal"

"That's a bit mean, Jenna," Grandpa replied. He knew he couldn't really do much for the Shadowlander. "Well, good luck to you," he said, joining his daughter.

Jenna pretended she did not hear her father and kept walking.

Grandpa raised an eyebrow at his daughter's rudeness but didn't think about it. He did feel bad for leaving the Shadowlander behind, but he at least told her where to go if she needed anything to survive.

Amanda watched them leave and closed her eyes,not feeling the will to live anymore,the Shadowlands took that away form her.

Grandpa sighed, wishing there could have been something else he could have done, but he also didn't know if he could trust her completely.

Zimba finally collapsed just outside the valley,the wound on his leg was deep and painful. He struggled to just keep his eyes open,he started to wonder if this how Littlefoot felt.

Taro got some fresh treestars to cover Grandma's leg and lay down down next to her.
"How are you feeling?" he asked after he shooed the fast biters away.
"Awful," she groaned.
"Well, hopefully it'll be better in the next couple of da-"
"I don't mean the leg, Taro," his mother interrupted. "It's just... everything else..."

Zimba panted and closed his eyes letting out a groan,taking what seemed to be his last breaths.
Jenna walked past him without even a glance.

Grandpa raised an eyebrow, noticing that Jenna just walked passed him. Perhaps it was because he was the one that tried to kill Littlefoot, but she also showed no compassion towards the stray Shadowlander, then again, she was a Shadowlander... he stopped in thought for a while.

Zimba opened one eye and looked at Grandpa before closing it again.

"Let me guess," Grandpa sighed. "Fast biters?"

Zimba moaned "Yeah...they attacked me" he groaned in pain but did not open his eyes.

Grandpa didn't say much as he looked over to his daughter. He sighed.
"I'm too nice for my own good," he muttered, quickly getting some treestars and wrapping them around Zimba's leg.

Jenna turned her head back "Dad what are you doing?" she called over/
-
Grandpa found himself stained with Zimba's blood, and sighed.
"Sorry," he said quietly, heading back to his daughter.

Jenna stared at him "What happened?" she asked taking in all the blood.
-
"I didn't want another death," was all Grandpa said.
-
"He tried to kill Littlefoot" Jenna reminded him looking at the children on her back.
-
"I am fully aware of that," said Grandpa. "Let's just get back to the Great Valley, shall we?"
-
Jenna nodded and started walking forward again.
Littlefoot was staring back at Grandpa trembling at the blood.
-
Grandpa didn't take much notice, and he never stopped looking back at the valley. He wanted to knock himself in the head for leaving his son and wife in the first place. What was he thinking, leaving her there?

Littlefoot looked away "I want Grandma here"

Grandpa didn't seem to hear; he was lagging behind the group, crying silently. Lily watched him and sighed. Her father was the first to go, and seeing Grandpa reminded her of her mother's reaction. She too, started to cry.

Nahla looked confused and got to close the edge of Jenna's back. When Jenna stumbled a bit she flew off.
Jenna not noticing kept walking.

Lily noticed and slid off Jenna's tail to make sure she was okay. Grandpa stopped for both of them.

Nahla had injured her leg,she was sobbing and screaming.There was a small cut,but other then that is was just sore.

Grandpa quickly tended to it. "Come on, I'll give you two a ride," he said, lowering his head down to them.

Nahla climbed onto Grandpa's head and held it in a tight grip scared of falling again.

Lily carefully climbed over her and rested on Grandpa's back as he started moving again.
-
Jenna stopped walking and screamed when she looked back and saw the girls gone. She started looking around in panic.
-
"Jenna!" Grandpa called, cursing under his breath. He was too slow for her.
-
Nahla whimpered as she lost her grip and slid down to Grandpa's back almost knocking into Lily but stopping in time.
-
"Are you two all right?" the old male asked.
Lily nodded. "Why are you covered in blood?" she asked.
"I was trying to help someone," Grandpa answered.
"That kid who tried to kill Littlefoot?" Lily questioned. Grandpa just nodded in reply.

Nahla looked back at Zimba "He look dead to me" she commented.

"I'm afraid it might end up being like that soon," Grandpa concluded gravely. "My guess is that he went to Grandma and Taro and the fast biters attacked him." He felt a stab of pain in his heart when he remembered the family he had left behind.

Nahla gasped "I see fastbiters around him" she backed up more and more till she crashed into the base of Grandpa's neck.
-
"Then don't look," Lily sighed. "I saw someone get eaten once. It... wasn't very nice."
Grandpa was shocked to hear this. From what he had heard Lily had been through a lot.

Zimba opened one eye to look at the face biters before closing it again in pain.
(I think Zimmy was to kill off/cut out Zimba in this RP but not sure)

Lily covered Nahla's eyes as Grandpa got them out of there as quickly as possible.
"Jenna!" he called again.

Zimba opened his eyes and snarled at the fastbiters.

Back at the place in the valley where Grandma and Taro were resting, Ahra sniffed the air, her face was blank.
"Looks like some of us are getting a good meal tonight," she muttered.

Now in full panic,Zimba struggled to his feet and began to run fast as his limping would allow.

Grandpa finally caught up to his daughter. "There you are," he sighed with relief.
-
A female fastbiter began the chase snapping at the tail of the longneck.
Jenna nodded "Here I am"
Littlefoot poked his head out from around his mothers neck showing he was too here.

Zimba let out a scream that could be heard for miles. A scream that said 'dying'.

The fastbiter took his tail in his mouth and tried to pull him down.

Zimba fell to the ground with a thud "HELP!" he shouted.

Grandpa heard the cries and his face was full of horror. He hated anyone screaming since the day he thought he lost Taro for good.
Back in the valley Grandma also heard the screams and pressed her eyes shut, trying to block it out.
Taro didn't have much of a reaction to it; he had lived with the fast biters for so long that he had learned to ignore it.

Jenna heard it but pretended she didn't and kept walking reminded too much of the day she nearly lost Littlefoot.

Grandpa caught up to her again, looking extremely upset.

Zimba kept screaming as fastbiters were sinking their teeth and claws into him.

Grandma started crying; she couldn't take it anymore.
"Just stop it! Please, stop it!" she cried. Taro nodded to Ahra who ran off and roared to the other fast biters to back off for a while.

The female fastbiter that started the hunt roared back in confusion "What do you want? Can't you see we are hunting?"
-
"Sorry," said Ahra, running up to them. "Could you a least do it somewhere else, or just shut him up? Taro's mother's getting really distressed over it."

The fastbiter said nothing just latched her teeth around the longnecks throat.
Zimba let out one more desperate cry "PLEASE HELP I'M SORRY' after that he went completely silent now minutes away from death.

Taro soon walked up behind Ahra, his face showing that he was not happy.
"Back off," he snarled.
-
The fastbiters obeyed and back away from their prey but not taking their eye of it.
Zimba was struggling to just breath.

Taro walked up to him. "Now... what is it you want?" he asked.
-
The fastbiter snarled again "We are just catching ourselves some dinner"
-
"There's a threehorn that died a few days ago. His family just chucked him into the outskirts. Go and eat him," Taro growled. He turned back to Zimba.
"You know, I could just kill you quickly and end it," he said. "Unless you really want to live."

Zimba did not answer,he just laid there taking heavy breaths.
-
"In your own time," Taro sighed. "Come on, I have a mother to look after, y'know."
-
"I don't deserve to live" Zimba finally answered.
-
"So that means you'd rather die?" Taro questioned.
-
"Yep" Zimba said in a tone they said he was not interested in talking.
-
Taro sighed. "Are you sure?" he asked. "I'll try and make it as quick as po- Oh what am I saying? Sorry, kid. I'm no killer yet."

"Just go please" Zimba whispered closing his eyes.
-
"Okay," said the male, before walking off.
-
Jenna stopped suddenly and looked back "Should we help him?" she asked Grandpa.
-
Grandpa nodded. "And perhaps if he's injured we can stay back with the others for a while longer," he wondered.

Jenna whipped around and started walking to Zimba her face showing pure shock when she saw him.
-
Ahra had watched Zimba for a while longer but fled when she saw other longnecks and joined the feast of a threehorn. Grandpa also seemed horrified by Zimba's condition.
-
Zimba opened one eye to see who was there now. Seeing who it was he quickly closed it again.
Nahla was starting to go into panic at the sight.
-
"Shall I take the young ones out of here?" Grandpa suggested.
-
"I think that would be best" Jenna answered quietly.
-
Grandpa nodded and took Littlefoot off her carefully before heading back into the valley.
-
"Whats going on Grandpa?" Littlefoot asked confused.
-
"Your mother's going to stay behind and help that longneck..." Grandpa explained.
-
"Oh" he said before he caught a sight that made him sick.
Amanda had tried to get into the valley,only to collapse and die just outside it.

Grandpa felt a stab of guilt in his heart and walked in a different direction, trying to remember where Grandma and Taro were.
-
Nahla was stared at the dead Shadowlander in horror,she whimpered before burying her head into Lily.
-
Jenna looked down at Zimba a hopeless look on her face.
Zimba did not care what happened,he deserved this.
-
"Dad...?" came a voice through the trees. Taro's head popped out and he grinned. "I wasn't expecting to see you coming back here! Couldn't leave Mother for that long, huh?"
"No, I couldn't," Grandpa admitted.
"Aw... how cute," Lily squealed, smiling.
"She's this way," said Taro, leading Grandpa and the others through the trees.

Nahla kept her head buried in Lily "I'm hungry" she said quietly.

Grandpa finally reached his mate again after what felt like an eternity, even though it was only a few hours. He ran up to her immediately, almost making Lily fall off.
"Whoa!" she cried, hanging on for dear life. Taro got her and the other young ones down when Grandpa had stopped. "Oh, she's hungry," said Lily when she got down, pointing to Nahla.
"Anything in particular you want?" Taro asked the pink longneck.

Nahla shook her head "No I like all food"

"Okay, then," said Taro. He walked off and returned with treestars for Littlefoot, purple treesweets for Lily and pink treesweets for Nahla.

Nahla's face was adorable she squealed in delight at the pink treesweets-oh how she loved them.

Taro and Lily chuckled at Nahla as Grandma and Grandpa shared a tender moment.
"I got worried about you," he sighed, nuzzling her.
"I missed you too, dear," Grandma answered. "Where's Jenna?"
"She's trying to help that kid that tried to k-" he cut himself off. He knew his mate would understand what he meant.

"Theres another longeck..but she died" Littlefoot added through a mouthful of treestars.
-
"What?!" Grandma exclaimed. Taro also looked quite shocked.
"A stray Shadowlander," Grandpa explained. "I told her to come here to get food... but I suppose she didn't make it..."

Nahla whimpered at that,she herself was a stray Shadowlander.
-
The adults stood in an awkward silence for a while, glancing at each other.
"Now what are we going to do?" Grandma asked, trying to break the silence.
"We'll wait for Jenna and then wait for your leg to heal," Taro answered. "After that we'll go back to the Great Valley and hopefully move on from this mess."

Then Jenna walked forward a red longneck trailing behind her.
Littlefoot stiffened up in fear when he saw Zimba.

Taro stood in front of the kids in a protective way, but with four... well, three able adults around he doubted that Zimba would try and attack.

Jenna noticed this and smiled at Taro "It ok,he is on trail.If he does try anything he'll be banished or killed"
-
"I see..." said Grandpa, resting down next to his mate. Lily settled down next to him, her trust growing for the older longnecks now. Taro smiled when he saw this.

Zimba watched Grandma and Grandpa a curious look on his face.
-
Neither of them noticed, both of them were talking to Lily.
-
Littlefoot still on Grandpa's back was staring at Lily curious "Where are you from?" he asked after a while.
-
That question felt like a stab in the heart to Lily and she looked down, falling silent.
-
Littlefoot noticed this "Oh..sorry I shouldn't have" he looked away feeling bad about himself.
-
"It's... okay," Lily sighed. "I just don't like talking about it that much... a lot of bad things happened there."

Littlefoot faced her "You don't have to talk about it..but if you want to..I'm here"
-
"My old home is about a two day walk that way," she said, pointing in a direction that only showed barren wasteland. "But... that's where it all happened... when they died almost everything died with it."

"Oh I'm sorry" Littlefoot whispered looking away.
-
"It's fine," Lily answered.

Nahla had fallen fast asleep on Grandpa's back.
Littlefoot was looking around the valley curious "Is there when you's are from Grandma and Grandpa?"
-
"No, we were both born in different homes," said Grandma. "But we migrated here many years ago. This was were your mother and Taro were born."

"Oh" Littlefoot said before he thought of another question "Why did you's leave?"
-
"Here?" Grandma questioned. "Well... it was after Taro... actually, I'm not sure if I want to talk about it either, little one," she added as painful memories came back to her.
-
Littlefoot stared at the ground "I keep asking the wrong things"

Zimba was surprised when he saw Littlefoot "I thought he was dead...thats what the guy with scars said".
Jenna frowned at this as her gaze drifted to Taro.
-
"What? It was to make sure he didn't try following you," Taro explained.
-
Jenna sighed "I thank you for that,but please do not use the death of my son as an excuse again"
-
"Sorry..." Taro sighed, before walking away in shame.
-
"It's fine Taro..I'm just hurting from yet we thought he was..." Tears fell down Jenna's cheeks the memory will be with her forever.

Taro didn't hear her; he found his way to a large watering hole. He got a load of stares off the other dinosaurs there, as usual, but he paid no attention to them.

Jenna sighed and let herself plop to the ground "Will the drama ever end?" she asked the sky before dropping her head in an over dramatic way.
-
"Not with the way you're acting," Grandpa joked, before earning a short glare off his wife.
-
Jenna playfully poked her tongue at her father "Yeah blame me" she chuckled before yawning "Wow with all this drama I have hardly slept"
-
"Well, go to sleep then," said Grandpa. "Not like much is happening now."
-
Jenna was already asleep, her breathing was soft and light a sign of being content and peaceful.
-
Her parents chuckled at her. It felt so strange to have their children back, and in a way they did feel quite guilty, especially for Taro, about not being there for them sooner, but it was almost too amazing to be true. They hadn't felt so happy before.
-
Zimba looked around at the group feeling uneasy and unwelcomed.
-
Neither of the grandparents seemed to mind Zimba at the moment; the two were chatting to each other about the recent events.
-
Littlefoot got in between his Grandparents,only just fitting in without being squashed he was hiding from Zimba.
-
Grandpa shifted over a little bit to make sure Littlefoot got enough room.
-
Littlefoot made himself comfy and laid there in the safety of his Grandparents.
-
Lily soon came and joined him, no enjoying the company of the old longnecks. They both smiled at the two children.
-
Nahla poked her head up from the other side of Grandpa she started to look lonely seeing everyone else together.
-
Lily went and looked over at Nahla. "You coming?" she asked.
-
Nahla nodded and loped around getting close to Grandma's side.
-
"Everyone comfortable there?" Grandma asked. She gritted her teeth when a pain shot up her leg.
-
Nahla nodded rubbing her head on Grandma like she was some kind f of scratcher.
-
"Are you all right," Grandpa asked, looking worried.
"Fine," Grandma answered. "It's just... this cursed leg..."

Jenna was still asleep a few feet away,the recent events wore her out.
-
Grandma yawned, she was ready for a nap herself.
-
Littlefoot looked around and noticed someone missing "Wheres Uncle Taro?"
-
"He'll be back soon enough," Grandpa answered. "He still hasn't changed a bit."
"Yeah... whenever he did anything wrong and even got a little telling off, he'd run away in shame for a bit, but then he'd soon come back," Grandma explained.

Littlefoot half smiled "I'm always running off ain't I" he chuckled

"Indeed. You are a lot like your uncle was when he was your age," said Grandpa.

Nahla let out a whine and stood up "Drink" she said licking her lips/
-
"I'll take her," said Grandpa when he saw his mate struggling to stand up on her leg. "If I remember correctly, there's a good watering place that way," he muttered to himself.

Littlefoot jumped to his feet "I'll come too"
-
"Okay, jump on kids," said Grandpa, lowering his head down to them.
-
Nahla jumped on and made herself comfy.
Littlefoot paused and turned to Lily "You coming?"
-
"Oh, okay," Lily answered, getting up and also jumping onto Grandpa's head.
-
Littlefoot followed her jumping on.

Grandpa took them to the watering hole and was surprised to see Taro there.
"So, this is where you ran off to," he said, shocking his son.
"Oh, hi dad," he said quietly. "Hi kids."

"Hi Uncle Taro" Littlefoot greeted him happily.
-
"Hi, Littlefoot," said Taro, smiling at him.
"Feeling any better?" Grandpa asked.
"Eh, a little bit," Taro answered. "I still feel a bit guilty about what I said.
-
"What you say?" Littlefoot asked curious.
-
"Eh... nothing to worry about," Taro insisted.
-
Littlefoot tilted his head "Oh ok..." but his tone said he did not believe it.
-
Grandpa lowered his head to let the children off.
Taro sighed and looked down at his reflection again. He looked away when he saw the state of himself.
-
Nahla right away from for the water and lapped up her fill.She then giggled started splashing it everywhere.
-
Taro smiled at Nahla, then got a shock when he was jumped on and hugged by Lily.
"I missed you for that short time," she said as the male nuzzled her.
Grandpa sat down next to Taro. "You know, you don't have to feel so guilty about it. Jenna's fine with it, really."

Nahla was in her own happy world as she swam around the watering hole.
Littlefoot looked at his reflection noticing large scarring across his chest.
-
Lily walked over to him, leaving Grandpa and Taro alone.
"Are you okay?" she asked Littlefoot.
-
"It hurts" Littlefoot admitted "But I can't tell them...they are already stressed enough"
-
"Oh, that's just Taro for you," said Lily. "He's always getting like that when not everyone is happy with him... I think I might know something that'll make that hurt less."
-
"Not that.." Littlefoot sighed and nodded to one of his many injuries he got from his Shadowland visit "It hurts,feels like someone is tearing my body apart..but you can't tell them. Promise me you won't tell them' he begged Lily/.
-
"Littlefoot... I'm afraid I might have to," Lily sighed. "It could be really serious. I won't say anything now, but if it gets worse..."
-
Littlefoot quietly moaned and laid himself to the ground "Please...don't tell" he mumbled clearly in pain.
-
Lily was clearly worried. "Littlefoot, how bad is it?" she asked.
-
"feels like someone is tearing my body to pieces while I'm still alive" he whispered "Don't tell them please"
-
"But Littlefoot, they might be able to do something about it," Lily argued. "What if you..." She realised what she was saying too late and cut herself off.
-
"If I what?" Littlefoot groaned.
-
"Nevermind," said Lily. She got up and jumped in the water with Nahla.
-
Littlefoot closed his eyes trying to stop his world from spinning,In in time he completely collapsed. With his head underwater he blacked out,he wasn't ready for all this action yet.
-
Taro was looking over at him. "LITTLEFOOT!" he cried, running forward and pulling him completely out of the water.
Lily quickly swam to sure. "Taro! Something's wrong with him!"
"I can see that!" Taro answered.

Nahla stopped paddling and glanced over in confusion.
-
Grandpa rushed over to them. "What happened?!" he exclaimed.
"He said there was an injury that felt like it was tearing him apart," Lily explained.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Taro asked.
"He... asked me.. not to..." Lily said quietly.
-
Littlefoot was completely unconscious,looks like Lily was right when she said he should tell someone.
-
"Crud," Taro muttered, but to his surprise he looked behind him and saw the healer fast biter from earlier.
-
Nahla swam to the shore "Whats going on?"
-
The fast biter walked up to Littlefoot and Lily pointed to the wound he was complaining about.
"Something bad happened back at the Shadowlands," said Taro after the fast biter snarled at him. Both of them looked very worried.
-
"Is it serious?" Nahla asked getting out of the water.
-
"I think it might be," Taro said quietly as the fast biter ran off to find something he knew would help.
-
Nahla pointed to Littlefoot's mouth "Is that normal?".
A few drops of blood dripped from Littlefoot's mouth,something was wrong.
-
"Oh no..." Grandpa cried, starting to panic.
HURRY UP YOU... THING!" Taro roared to the other fast biter who had long disappeared. He soon came back with a variety of plants for Littlefoot and immediately set to work, inspecting the wound Lily had told him about.

"Whats wrong with him?" Nahla questioned.
-
"I'm... not too sure..." said Taro. The fast biter growled something at him. "Actually, dad... get the kids out of here. Apparently this is something they really don't want to see."
"What's he going to do?" Grandpa questioned, now even more worried. "He's not going to eat him, is he?"
Taro sighed at the common stereotype that all carnivores were out to eat everyone's children, or grandchildren in this case. "No... he's going to clean that wound out because it's got a lot of gunk in it. After that he's going to try and close it so it heals quicker," he explained.
"Oh..." Grandpa shuddered at the thought, and picked the two young females up to get them away.

Nahla whimpered and clung to Grandpa.

The fast biter used a treestar to get the visible gunk out. The treestar was covered in that and blood. The carnivore rolled Littlefoot over so more light got into the wound so he could see into it more clearly.
"Shoot," he growled quietly.
"What's wrong?" Taro asked, starting to panic.
"The wound is mostly clean but it's already caused an infection throughout the body," the fast biter answered. He cleaned out any remaining gunk with his tongue now which made Taro feel queasy but it was quicker and more effective. He then quickly rubbed some juice from a pink treesweet which would stop anything else spreading and rubbed it within the wound, before going to find something else.

Meanwhile Jenna awoke with a yawn,she blinked a few times and stood up.

Littlefoot was out cold..though in this case that is a good thing.

"Feeling better?" Grandma asked, smiling at her.

The fast biter came back with some narrow vine and a short but straight stick with a sharp end. Taro shuddered when he saw it, remembering having the have that thing going into his body when he was first found after that sharptooth attack.
The fast biter carefully punctured a hole in the stick and thread the vine through it before setting to work. He managed to make quite a clean job of closing the wound up, and just licked any blood off the young longneck. When he was done he took a few steps back and sighed.
"I'm afraid there's not much else I can do until he wakes up," he admitted. "When he does I'll mix up a few of those treesweets which will help kill off the infection and give it to him."

Jenna nodded and looked around "Wheres Taro...and Dad..and the kids?"
-
"Your father and the children went to find Taro," Grandma explained. "He went on one of his little guilt trips again."

"Oh" Jenna mumbled "This one kinda my fault..I was stressed"
-
"He should be okay, he usually is," said Grandma.
At that moment Grandpa came through the trees with Lily and Nahla.

Jenna smiled at them,but frowned when she saw her son was not there "Where is he?"
-
Grandpa looked extremely worried.
"Dear, what happened?" Grandma asked, trying and failing yet again to get up. Her mate didn't answer; silent tears fell down his face.
-
Jenna drew a breath "Is he..hurt?...or.....dead?" she struggled to say those words she felt a stab in her heart,she should of looked after him.
-
"Something bad happened to one of the injuries he got at the Shadowlands," said Grandpa. "Taro and that healer are trying to sort it out. I had to get the other little ones away... I hope it went okay..."

Littlefoot moaned and began to wake,he was dazed and confused.
-
"Hmm... that's fairly normal, I guess," said the fast biter in thought. He started to mix some fruits and juices of the treesweets he had brought back with him.
-
Littlefoot almost screamed when he saw the fastbiter but did not feel the strength.
-
The fast biter didn't notice and carried on mixing.
"Littlefoot," Taro sighed. "Thank goodness you're awake."
-
"Uncle Taro?" Littlefoot whispered before lowering his head again.
-
"I'm here," Taro whispered, gently nuzzling him.
-
"Whats going on?" Littlefoot whispered again raising his head gritting his teeth in pain.
-
The fast biter growled something, holding up a treesweet with a load of different juices in it.
"This fast biter needs you to drink something," Taro explained. One of those wounds was quite infected and needed quick tending to."

"Huh?" Littlefoot asked not understanding.
-
The fast biter presented the treesweet in front of Littlefoot.
"He needs you to drink whatever's in that," said Taro. "It'll kill off the infection."

Littlefoot wasn't sure but trusted his uncle and drank the lot.
-
Taro and the fast biter nodded at each other.
"That's all I can do for now," said the fast biter. "I'll come back and check on him later." With that he walked away to his family.

Littlefoot watched him leave,before he had to once again put his head back down in pain.
-
Taro kept a close watch over him, hoping someone would come back soon.
-
"I need to go to him" Jenna said in panic.
-
Grandpa nodded. "Will you be okay watching the girls?" he asked Grandma. The old female nodded. Grandpa turned back to Jenna. "This way," he said, walking back to the watering hole.

Jenna followed him worrying every step of the way.

Grandpa quickly led her through the trees.
Taro was surprised when he emerged with Jenna by his side. He took a deep breath, ready to explain everything.

Jenna threw herself next to her son nuzzling him softly "What happened?" she asked Taro.
-
"One of the wounds he got from the Shadowlands was quite badly infected. Unfortunately that infection spread throughout Littlefoot's body. That fast biter got the gunk out and closed the wound to prevent anything else getting in, and gave him some stuff to kill of the rest of the infection," Taro explained.

Littlefoot moaned and turned to face his mother.
"Oh my poor Littlefoot,you don't deserve this" Jenna whispering rubbing him.
-
"He's actually quite lucky," Taro added. "If he hadn't told Lily we may not have been able to treat him quickly enough."
-
"What would of happened if you weren't quick enough?" Jenna asked holding her breath.
-
"It would have gotten a lot worse, and... he wouldn't have made it," Taro sighed.
-
Littlefoot sobbed quietly hearing how close he was to death because he didn't tell anyone.
-
"Thank goodness he told Lily, at least," Grandpa sighed.
-
Jenna sighed nuzzling Littlefoot "He seems to be very sleepy should this be happening?"
-
"I think that stuff he was given might make him drowsy. I remember taking it myself a long time ago and the same thing happened," said Taro.
-
Littlefoot tried to stay awake,but his eyes were droopy with sleep.
-
"Try and have a nap, little one," said Grandpa, nuzzling Littlefoot gently.
-
Littlefoot did as he was told and fell into a deep sleep.
Jenna rubbed him whispering "Shhh" when she was sure he was fully asleep she raised her head.
-
Taro sighed again. "I always seem to bring bad luck with me," he said quietly.
"It's not your fault," Grandpa assured. "If it weren't for you Littlefoot might not still be with us."

"Dad is right Taro..you saved Littlefoot's life" Jenna said looking at her brother "I can't thank you enough for that"
-
Taro smiled at that. Most of the time he didn't get such nice comments.

Jenna smiled and looked down to her son "Is it safe to move him? Take him back to the resting place"
-
Taro thought for a moment and nodded. "I should think so," he said. "Just be careful with him."
-
Jenna carefully picked Littlefoot up and laid him across her back.
-
Taro got up and followed Grandpa and Jenna back to their resting place.
-
Nahla ran forward to greet them "Is Littlefoot gonna be ok now?"
-
"I think so," Taro answered, smiling at her.
"Thank goodness," Lily sighed.
Grandma looked slightly confused, not knowing the whole story.

Jenna walked over to Grandma and carefully placed her son next to her mother.
-
"Now can someone tell me what exactly happened?" Grandma asked. Taro nodded and explained everything. Grandma's face soon looked extremely worried.
-
Nahla went and laid by Littlefoot to keep him warm and prevent chill.
-
Grandma smiled when she did this but then noticed the stitching on one of Littlefoot's wounds.
"What happened there?" she asked.
"Oh, that's where that fast biters closed it up so it can heal faster," Taro explained.

Jenna sighed and laid beside the children "I hope he makes it"
-
"He will," Taro assured.
-
"Thanks to you" Jenna smiled at him .
-
Taro just smiled back at her, almost lost for words. He hadn't felt so appreciated in a long time.
-
"You are staying around right?" Jenna asked the question she been wondering for ages.
-
"No... I'll be on my way again soon..." Taro answered, earning confused looks from everyone including Lily.
-
"What do you mean?" Jenna questioned.
-
"I mean... of course I'm staying!" Taro exclaimed with a grin. "I can't just find you guys after so long and then just walk away, can I?"
Lily sighed with relief, glad Taro was only joking earlier.
-
Jenna raised her tail and gave Taro a playful hit on his shoulder "Still a funny guy I see" she smiled so happy to have her brother back.
-
"Considering I've been pretty much raised by fast biters, who are the most serious and rude dinosaurs in the world, I'm glad about that," Taro answered, still grinning.

Littlefoot began to awake,he opened his eyes with a yawn.
-
Taro went over to him. "Hey, how are you feeling?" he asked.
-
"Ok" Littlefoot answerer slowly standing up.
-
"Careful," Taro warned. "Don't overdo it."
-
"What even happened?" Littlefoot was confused..one minute he was sititng by the watering hole..next minute he was waking up dazed and confused.
-
"Bad stuff, but it's over now," Taro answered. "Do you feel dizzy at all?"
-
"Yeah...everything is spinning"Littefoot said trying to take steo only to stumble.
-
"Then you should just lie down and rest for a bit," said Taro.
-
Littlefoot dropped to the ground his head was low as he tried to stop his world spinning.
-
"Is he all right?" Grandma asked with concern.
Taro nodded. "He needs to rest for a while, but he should be fine soon enough," he answered.
-
Jenna stod up and walked closer to him "It's all right son.that stuff that healer gave you just made you drowsy".
"Mother.." Littlefoot whispered now taking it in fully,his mother was alive.
-
Lily tried but she couldn't watch the happy reunion. It reminded her too much of what she had lost and she buried her head into Grandma's side.
-
Nahla was feeling the same as Lily but also different in a way,she never got anything like this. It hurt her and it could be seen on her face. How come she didn't get loving parents?
-
Grandma noticed the two young girls and cleared her throat, trying to alert her daughter that is wasn't helping the adopted children.
-
Jenna pulled away feeling guilty.
-
Grandma and Grandpa glanced at each other sadly. Grandma didn't want to spoil Littlefoot and Jenna's reunion, but she also didn't want the young ones to be so upset by it.
"Perhaps we should go away for a bit," Lily suggested, feeling worse for making everyone feel guilty.

A tear fell down Nahla's face she quickly turned so no one would see her crying.
-
Everyone seemed to be in an awkward silence. Lily didn't let any tears fall as she tried to block out the memories.
-
"Sorry" Jenna whispered feeling bad she upset Lily and Nahla.
-
Lily nodded. "It's fine," she answered.
-
Nahla coughed as she sobbed heavily
-
Lily went over to her and nuzzled the young girl.
"Perhaps we can both start again with a new family," she whispered, mostly to herself.
-
Nahla leaned into Lily "New family?" Nahla whispered.
-
"Yeah..." Lily whispered back. "These guys will look after us, and they won't leave us..."
-
"How can we be sure?" Nahla whispered looking over her shoulder.
-
"I... just know," Lily answered. "Taro's always been there for me, and I don't think his family are much different."
-
Littlefoot was walking towards the girls "You two ok?" he asked in concern,
-
Lily smiled at him. "Never better," she answered.
-
Nahla threw herself around Lily and hugged her poking her tongue at Littlefoot "Girls only"she joked.

Lily giggled, smiling at Nahla.
-
Littlefoot rolled his eyes before collapsing once again overworking himself "I keep forgetting" he said to himself.
-
Taro walked up to them. "You three need anything? I was just about to get some food for everyone. Littlefoot, stop overdoing it," he added, grinning at his nephew.

Littlefoot stood on his feet "I nearly died didn't I?" Littlefoot asked
-
"Well... yes, but you're fine now," Taro sighed.
-
'What even happened? It kinda all a blur" Littlefoot asked trying to remember.
-
"One of your injuries became quite badly infected," Taro explained. "That fast biter managed to fix it, though."
-
"I should of told huh?' Littlefoot asked softly staring at the ground.
-
"Well, you did," said Taro. "You told Lily."
-
"How did you's find out?" Littlefoot questioned curious.
-
"Well, she told us immediately after you collapsed on us," Grandpa answered.
-
"I collapsed?" Littlefoot looked horrified.
-
"Yes," Grandpa sighed. "That infection was a terrible one."
-
"What would of happened if if you's..didn't get to it when yous did?" Littlefoot gulped and prepared himself for the worse.
-
"I think you know, Littlefoot," Taro answered. "You're a very lucky young longneck... like me!"
-
"Is my stomach meant to be feeling all hot and numb?" Littlefoot asked.
-
At this Taro and Grandpa gave each other a worried look.
"I'll... go and check that," said Taro, running off to find the fast biter.
-
Littlefoot sat down looking like he was gonna throw up.
Nahla stared at him "Is he ok?" she asked stupidly
(Poor guy,and Nahla no helping much)

Taro came back with the fast biter.
"He said it's normal to be sick afterwards," he said. "Thank goodness for that."
-
Littlefoot gagged but didn't complain he just stared at his uncle "Uncle Taro how come you can speak to fastbiters?" he asked before gagging again.
-
"Because I'm very special," he joked. "Nah, not really. It's just that this guy also saved my life after that... incident..." He flinched at the pain of this memory. "So, after that, I lived with them until I was old enough to go travelling on my own, and I learned their language while I did."
-
Littlefoot's gaze drifted to the fastbiter,his eyes were curious.
-
"Why is he staring at me?" the fast biter asked Taro. "It's creeping me out."
Taro just chuckled and lightly hit the fast biter with his tail.
-
Littlefoot lowered his body so he was laying down "If only Dad was here" he commented.
-
Grandma and Grandpa glanced at each other sadly. It would have been perfect if Bron was here, but this was by far good enough.
-
Jenna sighed sadly at the thought of her mate,tears started in her eyes.
-
"Actually, he's due a visit to the Great Valley again soon," said Grandma. "I suppose it'll be a shock for him if we aren't there."
-
Littlefoot sighed "He only leaves again anyway"
-
Grandma sighed. She knew Bron had many duties as the leader of his herd but it would be nicer if he could spend more time with his son... and now his mate.
Her eyes wandered to Jenna. She wondered if she and Littlefoot would join Bron once they reunited. It wasn't the best of thoughts.

Jenna sighed and confirmed Gradma's fears "I'll just have to follow him"

Grandma sighed and turned away, not wanting anybody to see her tears. She knew that if Bron left with Jenna and Littlefoot he would not return often at all. She would have Taro but having her grandson taken away from her after he was in her care for so long would take a lot of getting used to, and having Jenna leave her after just finding her again would break the old female's heart.

"And I'll take Littlefoot and Nahla with me" Jenna added she looked up and saw how upset her Mother was "Whats wrong mum?"
-
"It's nothing," Grandma whispered, turning away and covering her head with her tail so nobody else could see how upset she was.
Grandpa knew full well what was wrong with her. Grandma was used to having most of her family around, and having half of it go all at once would be a big blow to her.
-
Littlefoot went silent saddened at the thought of leaving his Grandparents..and his friends.
-
Grandpa walked over and lay down next to his mate, trying to comfort her.
-
Nahla whimpered feeling the tension.
-
Taro felt slightly awkward in the situation, as did Lily. She went over and sat down next to him, not too sure what to say.
-
Nahla got to her feet and walked off wanting time alone.
-
The fast biter also left, not wanting to be involved with longneck family issues.
-
Nahla kept walking till she reached the waterfall,she sat on a rock in her own world.
-
Lily also felt like like leaving as the family sat in an awkward silence.
-
Littlefoot broke the silence with heavy gagging.
-
Taro rushed to his nephew's side. "That's it... better out than in," he said.
-
Littlefoot gagged a few more times before bringing up the food he had earlier.

This time Lily had no choice but to run off. She hated the smell and the sight and was beginning to feel nauseous herself.
Taro, on the other hand, had to put up with it.
Grandpa also rushed over to his grandson to make sure he was okay but Grandma seemed to have cried herself to sleep, still tired from everything.

Jenna looked worried "Is he ok?" she asked Taro.
-
"It's one of those side effects," Taro explained. "He should be fine."
-
Littlefoot gagged again trying to get rid of the after taste.
-
"Perhaps I should get something else for that," said Taro, who got up and walked off.
-
Littlefoot watched Taro walk off ans noticed two missing "Wheres Lily and Nahla"
-
"I'm sure their fine," Taro answered, stopping after hearing Littlefoot. "I'll look for them while I'm out and about."
-
Nahla still laid by the waterfall,she stared at the flowing water. Her eyes showed nothing,she was just blank lost in her own world of thoughts.
-
It didn't take Taro long to find Nahla.
"There you are," he sighed with relief. "Have you seen Lily anywhere?"
-
Nahla didn't seem to hear Taro she just kept staring.
-
Taro nudged her. "Helloooo?"
-
Nahla jumped at the touch "Huh?"
-
"What are doing all the way here on your own?" Taro asked.

"Thinking....about my past" Nahla answered not turning her head.

"Funny you picked this place," said the adult, watching the water flowing down from above.

"What do you mean?" Nahla asked now turning her head to face Taro.

"Well, when I was younger, I used to sit there and think all the time, about... my family," Taro sighed. "It's a bloomin' miracle I found them, I'll give you that much."

"It a miracle you picked me up...I would of died out there" Nahla said rubbing her head against Taro's leg.
-
"Well, I suppose that's a bit of unexpected good luck for both of us, then," Taro chuckled. "I know I never got much of it before now."
-
Nahla lowered her head and muttered"No one cared for me before"
-
"I'm sorry to hear that," Taro sighed.
-
Nahla still with her head lowered began sobbing.

Taro nuzzled the child, but suddenly heard a rustling behind him in the bushes, revealing Lily.
"Hey," she said. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
-
Nahla smiled at Lily,to her she was the only friend she really had.
-
Lily smiled at both of them and trotted up by Taro's side. "Is there still sick everywhere?" she asked.
"Unless Dad cleaned it up, then I'm afraid so," said Taro. "I'm going off to get some food. Do you two want to come?"
-
Nahla thought for a moment "Sure" she said after a pause and stood up.
-
"Count me in!" Lily exclaimed happily as Taro walked off to find something for everyone to eat.
-
Nahla followed him trying to keep up on her short legs.
-
"Do you two want a lift?" Taro asked after a while, noticing Nahla.
-
Nahla nodded panting,she was too young for all this walking. She plopped to the ground.
-
Taro picked up both of the kids and put them on his back before carrying on. Soon enough he found somewhere with a big variety of food.

Nahla grabbed some sweet bubbles as they passed the bush.
-
"Why did I suggest getting food for everyone again?" Taro muttered to himself. "There's absolutely no way I can carry enough food for three other fully grown longnecks!"
"Well... how about you just get something for Grandma and then Grandpa and Jenna can get their own. They can walk, after all," Lily giggled.

Meanwhile Littlefoot laid spread out on the ground,he had a really upset stomach.
-
Grandma was pretending to still be asleep. She desperately wanted to go over to Littlefoot but with her leg and the thought of losing him again she knew she wouldn't be able to without breaking into tears.
Grandpa still kept a good watch over his grandson. "It'll get better," he assured.
-
Littlefoot gagged "I wanna go home" he sobbed.
-
"We'll be going home soon," Grandpa promised. "We just have to wait until Grandma an walk again, okay?"
Grandma groaned, feeling like she was holding everyone up.

Littlefoot gagged heavily.
-
Taro came back with food.
"That's it, get it all out," he encouraged when he saw Littlefoot gagging. "Hopefully that'll be fine again by tomorrow."

Littlefoot gagged a few mores times before bringing up more food.
-
"Gross," Lily mumbled, burying her head into Taro's back.
-
Nahla turned so she was facing backwards "I think I'm gonna throw up now"
-
"I think I'll be better tomorrow," Grandma spoke up. "Then we can all head home... finally."
-
Jenna smiled "I would love to finally see The Great Valley myself"
-
"Okay," said Taro. "Hopefully if Mother and Littlefoot are better by tomorrow morning we'll head out then."
-
"I'm fine now" Littlefoot protested.
-
"I'll be fine in the morning," Grandma insisted.
"Well, we'll head out in the morning then," said Taro.
Grandpa looked to the sky, noticing that it was getting late. "If we're going to do that, then we should settle down for the night now," he said, going to lay down next to his mate.

Littlefoot stood up and walked closer to his Gradparents before laying down.

Taro and Lily rested together as usual, with Taro curled around Lily protectively.
Grandma smiled at them, glad that her son had someone at least.

Jenna laid next to Littlefoot and her parents,she placed Nahla in the middle and curled around her children to keep them warm during the night.
-
The next morning, Taro woke up bright and early as usual, and went to get breakfast for everyone. He was rearing to go back to the Great Valley.
-
Jenna awoke with a yawn and rose her head,the two children by her side with still fast asleep.
-
"Here you go," said Taro, dropping a pile of treestars in front of his sister. "Get the kids ready, we're leaving soon."
Grandma, Grandpa and Lily were all already awake and had nearly finished eating their breakfast.
-
Jenna nodded and nudged Littlefoot "Littlefoot wake up dear,you too Nahla".
Nahla moaned but just rolled over and kept sleeping.
-
"We'll just carry the children," said Grandma. She just about managed to get up but winced in pain every time she put pressure on her leg, although she tried her best not to show it.
-
Jenna placed Nahla and Littlefoot on her back,as well as a pile of treestars the kids could snack on during the trip.
-
"Well, then... let's go, shall we?" Taro suggested. Everyone nodded as he picked up Lily.
Suddenly there was a rustle through the trees; it seemed the fast biters had come to see the longnecks off.

Nahla opened one eye to greet them but Littlefoot only shifted and remained asleep.

Taro said goodbye to his long time friends and soon enough the family set off back to the Great Valley. Littlefoot's friends happily greeted him back and were surprised to see that his family was over twice as big as it was when he left. Only the future would tell if Jenna would join Bron with Littlefoot and Nahla, but Grandma didn't mind if she did now; she still had some family to look after, at least.
Taro, as usual, had a hard time fitting in, but after learning that he was the son of the oldest and most respected longnecks in the valley, the residents soon accepted him for who he was, and he settled for the quiet life with his family.
Grandma and Grandpa, although still overwhelmed, couldn't be made any happier. They lived out the rest of their lives peacefully and happily with their family, and all was well.
