The rear of the ship began to lower, forming a ramp. A thunk sounded, almost muffled by the loud whir of the machinery. The ramp clunked against the floor, revealing the Gold Star's two crewmembers standing at the top of it.
The pair stood next to each other, Drake a little more towards the front, while Swoop hung back, perhaps intending to use his friend as cover should the worst happen.
Drake was a dark blue reptillian creature. He wore a uniform of muted gray colors that seemed one part work overalls and one part lowgrade battle armor. The uniform's sleaves had been ripped loose to expose his arms and the orange spots that decorated his limbs. The spots seemed to glow with a faint light, each large splotch spaced a short distance for the last. A crest of bright green and yellow feathers decorated his head and the backs of his forearms. Another orange spot decorated his forehead, just above his muted red eyes. His tail snaked out behind him, held absolutely still. More orange spots decorated the back of the long limb, which ended in a mess of feathers. He seemed to be unarmed. His left arm moved back and forth, bouncing a red rubber ball, roughly the size of his palm, off of the floor. Each imapct made a dull thunk sound.
Swoop was a yellow fox with cold blue eyes. He wore the same uniform as Drake, but with the sleeves still attached and a pistol holsted at his side, his right hand hovering close to it.
He studied their welcoming party with hard eyes, while his dragon friend looked slightly amused. The bouncing ball helped to increase his playful-looking demenour. He smiled barring a mouthful of sharp teeth that might unnerve some, though he intended to seem friendly.
"So, who's got the rum?" he asked, grabbing the ball and holding it at eye level. An orange character from some strange language covered one side of the ball, his fingers hid most of the symbol, so even if someone present could decipher it, they wouldn't be able to. The character pulsed with the same faint light as Drake's markings.

"Thank you, Dixie," Spyro said, he grabbed a piece of meat at random. "We'll be glad to join you for breakfast. Will Scooby-Doo be there too?"
