Please check out  My Land before time site (http://www.freewebs.com/thelandbeforetime01) it's still under construction but i'm getting there. if anyone has a LBT site they'd like for me to add to my links page tell me.  :) Some MP3's aren't great quality as i recorded them with my digital camera (it has a recorder on it) but still enjoy  :^.^:

Not a bad little project you got running there Teresa!  ;) I had a browse of you site and it looks cool! Nicely formatted, not overcrowded and it's super easy to use! I understand that your content is being worked on but keep up with it! You're doing a fine job! ;) MP3's are a bit *bleah* :DD (for want of a better word) but given the fact that you only had a d.cam to record them with, it's little wonder the quality is how it is. Don't worry though, there are ways around such problems! :)

Keep us informed of when you update the content some more!  :^.^:

This is really nice. I like the mixture of character information and the list of the voice actors. I am also quite fond of the little dinosaur language dictionary. One word that could be added would be the "sky colors" Littlefoot uses that term for a rainbow in LBT 9, and "burning mountain(s)" or "smoking mountain(s)" are two terms which have been used for a volcano, and "earthshake" for an "earthquake". It is kind of fun to gather these terms I'm sure we can find more.
I really like your page :yes

Thankies  :D i'll probably update it again tommorow.  The MP3s from films 2 - 4 are from a official CD so it's good quality. on the others i just wish i could get rid of the buzzing noise but i've tried so many volumes if i went any higher i'd have the neighbours knocking.  :lol

Oh gawd! If there one thing you don't want the neighbours over for, it for those words "Turn it down!"  :lol Had that plenty time living in a student shared house at uni!  :^.^:

Hey!  I used freewebs too!  Look for a free domain name.  It will make it a heck of a lot easier to remember your site.  My site was origionally:

http://www.freewebs.com/landbeforetimelover (http://www.freewebs.com/landbeforetimelover)

Now it's:

www.landbeforetime.co.nr (http://www.landbeforetime.co.nr)

It's a lot better, especially when having google advertize it! ;)

Sure.  You mind if I link you?  I'm sure I'll start getting a lot of visitors soon.  I just put the site on google and other major search engines.  It might be wise for you to accept but foolish if you don't want to accept the good with the bad.  I have already had 1 hacker try to hack my site.  What did he do?  Well let's just say that it wasn't very pretty...

Klicks du es eigentlich immer wenn du ein neuen Post dazuschreibst?
Es geht auch viel einfacher wenn du unten "Add Reply" klickst.  ;)

Remark to everyone else. There are no "secret" messages being exchanged in a foreign language around here. Using the native tongue German may help to avoid misunderstandings when we are telling Nimrod how he can post without quoting the entire previous message; that is all those German passages are about.

It was pretty obvious to me what the three of you were talking about.

On topic: Good site, Teresa! It's pretty comprehensive, and you've got some unique information, as well as some good pictures.

I don't mean to be the faultfinder, but there are a few disputable entries in the dictionary.
Threehorn for example would probably refer to all kinds of Cerapods sporting three distinctive horns. This would include not just Triceratops but also Torosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Anchieceratops... the list goes on.

Swimmer too would probably describe not just Saurolophus but any kind of amphibic dinsaur. Many Hadrosaur species would be included in this Parasaurolophus and Edmontosaurus for example.

Spiketail is the same story. We only over saw Stegosaurus in LBT but other representatives of the family Stegosauridae would probably be included though I suppose they might make up different names for species which feature additional distinctive features to their spiked tails.

Sharptooth is the same story. Whatever will eat you is labeled a sharptooth by the dinosaurs of the Great Valley. I suppose they might come up with additional descriptions if they want to differentiate between large carnivores, raptors etc. but a sharptooth is definitely not just a T-Rex.

A swimming sharptooth may also be something else than a shark. The Liopleurodon in LBT 9 is one example. Again I think that anything that swimms and will try to eat you will qualify for the term swimming sharptooth (but an interesting question is how amphibic sharpteeth (Dill for example) might be referred to).

A tinysaurus is definitely not a synonyme for Sauropod. If that was the case Apatosaurus, Diploducus, Brachiosaurus and all longnecks would be Tinysaurs as well.

A longneck however probably refers to all sauropods, no matter their size.

There is one entry I don't understand:
Quote
Splasher Swimmer :Marco Polo (game)
What does Marco Polo refer to in this case? Is the term from a TV episode?

JEEZ    Yeah ok you got a point Malte it's just very technical for me. The Splasher/ swimmer is a game they play in one of the episodes. It's their version of Marco Polo. Yeah i have trouble making my points clear enough.  <_<

Please don't get me wrong.
I really don't mean to talk down your awesome work. Your's is one of the best private land before time webpages I have ever seen. :yes
I hope for all this to be understood as constructive criticism to make the awesome even awesomer (as Petrie might say :lol).

As for Marco Polo I found the answer at Wikipedia. I didn't know there was a game called Marco Polo. I only knew the Venician explorer ;)

I've added high quality screencaps from series episodes 1 & 2 to the gallery page. follow the link to 4shared and the images from each episode have been put in seperate Zip folders. I was too busy to upload them image by image.

If Dill is the crocodillian from movie 4 I think, isn't she a belly dragger I think they used the term somewhere.  Or she may be just called a sharp tooth.  I Agree they could come up with separate terms for things then the very generic terms they use, but maybe they see no need to do so.
