It looked like grape jam or something (which it almost certainly was). Although I'll admit that, in this context, my joke didn't really make much sense. :P

This was an elaborate scheme planned by Bambi and his mother to fool the local hunters around the woods, who may think that the mother deer was dead for awhile. A rotting corpse is not good, is it humans?
