At least this one has some sort of storyline, where its predecessor was just senseless killings.

To be fair, I would say 1 and 2 did have "Some sort of storyline."

Sorry I should have worded that better. I meant just the 4th one. The first 3 were good. The 4th one was (not total) crap.

I actually prefered the fourth movie over the third because it was more like 1 and 2. So far, 3 is my least favorite of the four in the series and it will probably stay that way after 5. Gore like what was in the 3rd movie didn't seem natural for a Final Destination movie. The first barely had any blood, second movie, I found Watership Down to be gorier than it was, three made me think of Day of the Dead it was so gory, and the fourth movie, still had gore, but they didn't over do it like the 3rd movie. If you ask me, gore (not that I'm bothered by gore) isn't something that should be done in Final Destination - beyond accidents anyway, but I mean what you'd expect in a zombie movie sort of gore.

I didn't mind the gore. It was the fact that the 4th movie just swerved straight from the storyline the first 3 were following. And I'm glad the 5th is attempting to get back on track.

Speculation based on the trailer and other people's comments:

The scene where the younger-looking black guy is at the construction place and the one worker falls down towards the spike, I think it's him testing the "kill or be killed" theory. However, most people, including myself, are thinking the guy stops before he hits the spike. However, in the first trailer, we see the police cover up a body in what appears to be the same place, so SOMEBODY dies there.

This next one is more or less a confirmed spoiler, but the laser eye surgery girl....People watching the second trailer realized that she's wearing the same clothes the girl falling out of the window is, so the laser does not kill her.

That would explain why she fell out the window in the first place - either she was blinded or drunk. If that is the woman that goes in for eye surgey, then there's an explantion for that death. But why were the windows open is what I'm wondering.

God they need to stop making these damn films. But they won't. They will keep milking them and produce more sequels.

The only way that the studio will stop making the movies is if 5, 6 or 7 does bad. Which I will doubt because they have the same filming crew and studios (or nearly exact) for every movie. That means they'll all do just as good or better. There will probably be more Final Destination movies than land before time by the time they decide to stop making them. I have a feeling they'll be in the 15's to 20's before they call it quits - if that.

^ in response to your earlier post about the open window, I swear the window was closed and she broke through.

Nevertheless, the girl falling /breaking through the window is the same girl getting the laser eye surgery gone wrong.

Makes me not want to get laser eye surgery, but what are the chances of what happens to her happening?

To be fair, a lot of the deaths in FD don't really have a chance in happening...

This movie reminds me of 1,000 ways to die.

Only deaths that actually could happen in real like are Terry's, Carter's, Todd's (maybe), most of the deaths at the beginning of the second movie, the deaths at the beginning of three, one and four also.

But one thing is for sure, getting your guts sucked out by a pool can't happen. I don't thing any deaths besides the ones in the premonition in 4 could actually happen. Maybe 8 deaths out of all in the movies could actually happen in real life, maybe the eye-surgery and falling from a building and gym accident in the 5th could happen too.

I'm sure a lot of those deaths could happen. Never say never.
