I don't see how it's possible that an American Cartoon won't be shown in America at any time. Sooner or later, some network in the U.S. will pick it up.

I found this on Red Claw and some other characters:

Red Claw

Red Claw is a male tyrannosaur who has a distinctive scar that that goes through his left eye. He is the prominent antagonist in the tv series.

Ruby

Ruby is a new friend of Littlefoot and his friends. She is a female orthoniaptor

Screech

Screech is one of the two velociraptor companions of Redclaw.

Two things to point out:

1. This is from wikipedia and hence, can be inaccurate.

2. Do you think that the scar on the left eye can mean anything? 1st movie's tyannosaurus? Note that this is all speculation and little of this is proven fact.

Star wars isn't based on any asian stories; it's based on Jospeh Campbell's "Hero With A thousand faces." The only thing really Asian about it is that some elements of the movie come from Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress" movie. Of course, Leni Reifenstahl's "Triumph of the will" was another inspiration as well.

Well NewOrder, since you've seen the movie, you would know if Rinkus and Sierra appear in it or not. So do they?

At least someone is waiting to buy the DVD when it comes out. Good for you, Malte. You truly deserve the title "Land Before Time Philosopher." By the way, if anyone has information about the 12th movie, it's plot and characters, they should put it on wikipedia, or the land before time wiki, or leave some sort of review, synopsis, or summary of what they saw.

P.S. It says on wikipedia that Rinkus and Sierra appear in this movie. Is this true?

Grass link:

Oh, and isn't it illegal to distribute copyrighted movies on the internet without the copyright holder's permission? And one more thing; it MIGHT be BARELY legal to put he movie up on some website without making a download available; just watching the movie ON THE SITE. Sorry for the excessive capitalizations; I just thought that this was important.

Actually, grass DID exist; some fossilized grass was discovered inside of the stomach of a dinosaur fossil somewhere in Asia. Anyway, Tricia's her name. Figures. It's another derivative of "Triceratops", like Cera, Tria, Topsy (Topps?), and now Tricia.

General Land Before Time / Use of blood in the sequels
« on: December 22, 2006, 01:22:34 PM »
The small injuries shown in movies five and six are nothing compared to the lethal wound that littlefoot's mother took in the first movie. There would be a LOT of blood if that were shown.

Good idea. I suppose a script and/or guide plus pictures, song lyrics, and character information are all perfectly good, legal, and useful things to put on a website.

That's right: we don't want to become "The Pirate Bay." Still, I believe it's legal to post transcripts of each episode online, even though putting down all the dialogue as the episode goes on would be difficult. Still, if the episode is taped (or recorded) and then followed from scene to scene, it would be possible to write down the dialogue of the entire episode.

It's not that I woulden't like to see the show or have downloads available, but it isn't worth the risk of getting caught, and it's still outside of the law (in America and most other countries.) The Land Before Time is a valuable piece of intellectual property, and Universal has a history of catching people trying to use their copyrighted material. Several months ago, they shut down a fan-game website which was making a game based on Sierra's "Kings Quest" series (note that Universal owns Sierra, or VU games as it is more appropriately called.) Anyway, enough fans complained, and the game got a fan liscence, but only if the name was changed from "King's Quest IX" to "The Silver Lining." It took Universal over three years to order the site shut down, and although it reopened, the chances that someone can get away with a similar act using Universal's actual material are quite low, especially if the site becomes popular. In either case, even a low quality download is still a risk.

You should scrap the idea of temporary links. Also, it isn't very wise to say these things on a website which could be visited by anyone (like someone from Universal.) As it is, the rest of the idea is quite good.

P.S. It's still illegal whether you get caught or not.

P.S.S I did some research; while the company might not like it, it is legal to tape a show and share it with a certain number of people. There was a case on this known as the Betamax case which ruled that recording shows from a tv is legal, and that one could share them to a certain extent. It would still be a legally risky thing (barly legal) to post whole episodes on an individual website, but as long as the episodes don't interfere with the ability of the copyright holder to make money from the copyright, it's technically allowed.

Oh dang. Well, at least she's Cera's half-sister. At least I'm partly correct. Note that by "she", I'm referring to the "27-minute mark" child (Tria's hatchling who's name is still unknown to me, but is NOT Ruby.)

Ruby.. that's it. Cera's half-sister. I imagine that this is correct. She's even colored in a ruby-like hue. Keep in mind that I haven't seen the twelth movie, and I could still be wrong. Oh, I didn't expect to see the egg hatch until nearly the end of the movie.

(NOTE: Since I wrote this, my Ruby thesis has been disproved.)

I know that no one has responded yet, but does anyone know any additional details about the movie? From the pictures at http://images2.fotosik.pl/284/998c69d30bb09b60.jpg

It would appear that Cera's half-sibling is colored a slightly darker shade of orange then she is, but I don't know his/her name. Does anyone know any other details?
