Unless something changes, it will be easier to run on my site, which is custom-built for RP games, and my screen name there is a lot better.

Plus, I have that Napoleon icon, and have the rank of "emperor" (needless ego-trip, I know). If you post a lot, your rank as a noble goes up.

I considered mage ranks at first, but while "archmage" is clearly a high rank, I couldn't decide if "wizard" was higher than "sorcerer", so I used noble ranks.

More to the point, I can run the RP there the way I had always intended it, with no (other) admins there, save for metadude, who is a mod.

Mr. Thicknose: Thank you, Mr. Threehorn, students of the Great Valley... I'm here to educate you about the single biggest threat to our planet. You see, there is something out there which threatens our very existence and may be the end of the human race as we know it. I'm talking of course about...  Manbearpig. It is a creature which roams the earth alone. It is half man, half bear, and half pig. Some people say that Manbearpig isn't real. Well, I'm here to tell you know, Manbearpig is very real, and he most certainly exists. I'm cereal. Manbearpig doesn't care who you are or what you've done. Manbearpig simply wants to get you! I'm super-cereal. But have no fear, because I am here to save you! And someday, when the world is rid of Manbearpig, everyone will say "Thank you, Mr. Thicknose, you're super awesome." The end.

Meanwhile...

Adykon walked through the streets of the city, to the palace in which the party had put his toddler son, Kos. Although the boy was almost certainly asleep at this hour, Adykon just had to see him, if only because there was a chance that he might never see the child again.

Entering into the compound, the guards let the mercenary pass; they had orders to let him in. After what seemed like far too long a time, the Dracon father finally got to see Kos, asleep in a wooden cradle, curled up in a little white blanket.

"Hey, son." Adykon moved a hand over Kos' back, seeing if the child was truly asleep. He did not wake, but it seemed as if he was annoyed that someone was touching him, as the child just shrugged in his sleep and wrapped himself tighter in the blanket.

"Yeah, I get that a lot. Well, Kos, I've got to get going now. I don't know if I'll be back. If you don't see me again, try to forget me, live out your life here, and do what makes you happy. I figure someone deserves an easy life in our family. It might as well be you, my boy."

Looking around the room, Adykon kept talking, and although he was pretty much asleep, the young dracon was visibly disturbed by the speech coming from this large male whom he had only seen once or twice before. His little ears caught some of the speech "This room is so peaceful... -what all true warriors strive for..."

Eventually, Adykon finished his speech and left, and Kos muttered a single word that his father did not hear. "Night."

The others were too stunned to react at the moment. Even Sasha was rather surprised at this turn of events, and this was a girl who had nearly been sacrificed to dragons after being captured by kobolds.

Vaessa took one look at the mark on Jake's chest. She didn't know what it was, but it did not look good.

"Jake?! What in the of- what happened?! Explain yourself to me, young man!"

"Why not? Is it a dirty tattoo? Is it a picture of... Rhiga or something?" Sasha asked, curious.
