"Don't you ever wonder what's out there?" -LBT VII

----

A star flies through space. It has a beautiful glow, almost as if it radiates a rainbow aura...

Current coordinates... Earth...

Something wasn't right about this... Wasn't Earth the name the name of that planet where a great mission took place?

Meanwhile, in a lush, green valley on the planet below, a group of young dinosaurs had gathered for a storytelling session under the glow of the crescent moon.

"It always started on a night like this one, beneath a sky full of stars..."

As she began a new tale, with the light of the magma ridge along the ground providing the  perfect glow for a dramatic ambience, Ruby lifted her hands towards the heavens for emphasis.

"Some would see strange lights, others would hear strange sounds, but in every account, something strange would accompany the arrival..." Ruby continued, trailing off for effect as she turned her gaze towards her audience. "The arrival...of the SKY BEINGS!"

(Gonna make a post since there's a lack of activity.  :rhett_smile )

The peaceful little Sharptooth named by fellow leafeaters as "Chomper" listens in awe and excitement as Ruby tells her story. He always enjoy listening them and believes that she makes a great storyteller. "Ooo..." Chomper couldn't wait for Ruby to continue.

Ruby smiled at Chomper before continuing on. "No one knew exactly where the strange creatures came from, or how they came from wherever they came from, but the signs of their arrival always came from somewhere in the sky. By daytime, beings no one had seen before would show up. Usually, there would be at least two of them, and they'd have very colorful coloring. They would join a farwalker herd and travel with them for a while. But they didn't quite act like regular dinosaurs. They seemed to know some extraordinary things, yet sometimes they were amazed at the most ordinary things. Then, before long, the newcomers would leave just as mysteriously as they arrived..." Ruby took on a mysterious smirk as she prepared to finish her tale. "They always departed in the night. Usually, no one would even see them leave. But some did...and they said the creatures were taken up into the sky by a mysterious beam of light! That's how they came to be called the Sky Beings! Could it be that they actually came from the sky? To this day, no one knows for sure!"

Cera rolled her eyes at the conclusion of Ruby's tale, but resisted making an immediate retort.  Instead she carefully fixed her gaze on Littlefoot to make sure that he was not enjoying this story too much.  Knowing him, this story would be all that it would take to invite the possibility of adventure.

Littlefoot had a reaction that was the exact opposite of what Cera thought. He was in shock over the fact that the Rainbow Faces, or Sky beings, were a legend. He started getting nervous that the Rainbow Faces' secret would be out.

Ducky could tell just by looking at Littlefoot that something was wrong.

"What is wrong, Littlefoot?" asked Ducky.

Littlefoot realized that he should tell the gang what happened with the Rainbow Faces.

"Well, guys, you remember the Rainbow Faces..."

Littlefoot told the gang about how the Rainbow Faces left.

"...And that's why I think the Rainbow Faces are the Sky beings!" said Littlefoot as he finished the story. He hoped that the gang wouldn't take it too hard that he kept this secret from them.

Petrie shifted uneasily as he heard Littlefoot’s claims. That adventure he had gone through was still fresh in his mind due to the involvement of Uncle Pterano. But was Littlefoot really claiming that the rainbowfaces were the Sky Beings Ruby spoke of? After seeing the so-called “Stone of Cold Fire” fizzle out in front of his uncle, he couldn’t help but be skeptical of Littlefoot, and vocalized it before anyone else.

“Me no know, Littlefoot,” he said. “Like you say, no one see rainbowfaces but you. Maybe it was sleep story!” Petrie tried to suggest. As zany as those two were, he simply could not see what Littlefoot was extrapolating as the truth, at least not right now.
Would it be possible for swimmers and flyers to get more love around here? Both figuratively… and literally.

Chomper was amazed. "I believe you Littlefoot!" Chomper exclaimed, supporting his friend. He turns to the others. "If Hidden Runner is real, why not the Sky Beings... or Rainbow Faces." Chomper said. He was deeply involved in Ruby's story. Ever since The Hidden Runner incident... Chomper may have developed a habit of seeing stories as truth.

Ruby was astonished by what she'd just heard. :RubyCurious "Wow...if you really did see Sky Beings, Littlefoot, that must have been such an amazing thing to see!" she gasped. "I wish Chomper and I would've been here." As the Hidden Runner incident came back to her, she scratched her chin. "Isn't it funny how the stories you hear are almost never just stories?"

Meanwhile as the gang of seven were chatting away, a very different dinosaur was having a bedtime flight. Alas, Guido never quite kicked his habit of sleep-walking and sleep-gliding, and tonight it was a pesky annoyance as the glider found himself having a rude awakening as he flew right into a portion of the Great Wall.

Rubbing his nose where he had smacked right into the rocky bluff, a groggy Guido then realized that he had somehow ended up on the other side of the valley wall yet again as his blurry vision recognized the sands of the Mysterious Beyond. Thanking his lucky stars that he didn’t end up sailing someway far away this time, Guido turned around only to stare at a weird silver object that was propped on the ground.

What was that, he pondered, rubbing his eyes again. It was like nothing he had ever seen before. Was he still in a sleep story, perchance?

The object slowly opened up... Revealing a strange silver dino... With one strange face... It was as if he had one dark eye across the head with two blue glowing pupils. Other than that, his head beared similarities to a sharptooth. He walked around on all 4 metal legs with metal spikes on his back...He makes a cautious exit and scans the area curiously. "?" He looks curiously at where Guido is... As if he knows he is there but is unsure.

Meanwhile, the gang was busy discussing if the Sky Beings were the Rainbow Faces.

"I believe you, too, Littlefoot, yep, yep, yep!"  Ducky knew that Littlefoot would not tell a lie.

"Thanks, guys," said Littlefoot. He was glad that the gang was not hard on him for keeping the Rainbow Faces a secret. "I know that this wasn't a sleep story, Petrie. They really did leave with this huge beam of light. And then, this shooting star went by in the sky. It was amazing."

Ducky looked at Cera and said, "What about you, Cera? Do you believe Littlefoot?"

Cera hrumphed with all of the authority that she could muster as she fixed Littlefoot and Ruby with a skeptical look.  "Well... the rainbowfaces were weird, and they knew things that none of us could know.  But are you sure that is what you saw, Littlefoot?" It was not lost on anyone that her skeptical speech suddenly took on a softer tone, "We have seen some weird stuff, but I have never seen anyone go off into the sky!"

She paused awkwardly for a moment.  "I mean... except for flyers, of course."

Chomper was promptly greeted by a threehorn glare, which, based upon Chomper's coy expression, he had expected.

Littlefoot defended himself. "I know I saw them leave with a beam of light!" Littlefoot said. "And some other things would make sense if the Rainbow Faces could travel through the sky. What about when we were stuck on Threehorn Peak, and they were inside it? How would they get there without us seeing them?"

Ducky thought about what Littlefoot said. She also remembered something that could be a key detail in answering if the Sky Beings were the Rainbow Faces.

"Littlefoot, maybe the Stone of Cold Fire is what made that beam of light!" said Ducky. "We saw it fly way up in the air when those mean flyers were hitting it, yep, yep, yep!"
