While browsing videos on YouTube with "If We Hold On Together" in the search bar, I stumbled upon this version that actually has a spoken intro before the actual singing, and that is also different from the original too. Apparently, this version came from her unofficial release CD Album
Soul Kiss: Motown Lost & Found (1970-1995), which was only released recently in 2017. You can find it
here, tracklist number 13. So far, the only website I found that was selling these CDs is
this one, but there's only one left in stock as of right now. So yeah, this was a very interesting find for me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eAwJlQP8REThe spoken dialogue by Diana Ross herself at the beginning goes as follows...
The great circle of life has begun.
Some things you can see with your eyes,
others you see with your heart.
I'll be there with you,
even if you can't see me.
Let your heart be your guide.
It whispers...
so listen closely.
As long as you remember the things I've taught you,
in a way, we'll never be apart.
Because we are still a part of each other.
Look! A treestar!
It's very special.
It'll help you to grow strong and show you the way to the Great Valley,
where we can live together and in peace.
