Righto!

... Remind me not to try pronouncing that, because my tongue gets twisted in knots... :DD

Indeed! It feels good to be back! See familiar faces, and meet the new! :p
I feel bad about sorta... Fading off like that; I definitely had no intention on leaving, but things just sorta... Piled up on me. :unsure:

Trying to get all that off my mind... By posting PIXELS! :p

Visual Art / The Kraken's Gallery!
« on: September 11, 2013, 05:33:20 PM »
Hello, everyone! My name is BabidiKrakenGuard, and welcome to Kraken's Gallery!  :D

Here, you will find many an oddity that I've cooked up, ranging from the little things done on MSPaint, to manips made with GIMP.

... Mostly, you will find a lot of the Horned King from The Black Cauldron, because I have an extremely difficult time drawing things without robes.
Although I have gotten a bit better at it.

... Hmm; that sounds a bit odd.  :blink:

... Whatever!  :DD

Let us begin! And I do hope you enjoy!
Please take in mind, there may be spoilers...!

-----

Kraken Guard
This is probably my most recent picture.
This is Kraken Guard, my main pirate of Pirates of the Caribbean Online!
... I can't quite say that this is the best sprite I've made, but I'm fairly proud with how she has turned out.  :DD

~~~~~
Gurgi
This is Gurgi, from Walt Disney's 25th Animated Feature, The Black Cauldron
~~~~~

-----

The Horned King
This is the Horned King, who also comes from The Black Cauldron, and is the main antagonist of the film.

For an awful long time, the Horned King has been sort of the norm, as far as doodling things on MSPaint.
As I've mentioned before, drawing things without robes is sorta difficult for me, because I suck at drawing arms, legs, and bodies.
The Horned King is sorta perfect, because all of that is hidden. :lol
I also couldn't really do hands, so I decided to hide those digits behind his back. :lol
Besides that, the pose looks cool.  :DD

Turbo

Um... I've got a few more pictures of this guy, but for some reason, I can't get the pictures to show up on this post.  :blink:
So I'm gonna go and make another!  :DD

This is Turbo, from Wreck-It Ralph!  :DD

... Wow; I've got quite the funny story about this guy, and how he found his way onto my favorite characters list, but I'm gonna save that for another time.  :DD

... Yeah, I need to stick with doodling him in 8-bit form, because... Let's be honest with ourselves, the big one kinda stinks.  :smile

I've seen a lot of the threads you've started on this forum and I gotta say, it's a pleasure to meet the initiator (you), Babidi! :DD
Welcome back

Why thank you, Strut!

Strut!! How is your brother, Ozzy? Still out looking for those eggs?  :lol

Yup! You might have seen a lot of things by me; mostly in the captions section. I had loads of fun throwing in screenshots of those two Egg Stealers. I'm wondering if I should re-post some of them? :DD

Another character that I had a lot of fun posting caps of was the Horned King - the main antagonist of Walt Disney's 25th Animated Feature, The Black Cauldron.  :p

Babidi, welcome back! :DD I was wondering what had become of you…

Lessee…this June I went to Arizona for a week to attend a workshop on bats. Then I went to California and hung out with FlipperBoidSkua, and finally the two of us went to Bracken Cave in Texas to see even more bats. (Here's
Here's the thread if you'd like to hear more.) That's the most exciting thing that's happened to me lately.

I don't suppose you've come bearing any new artwork, have you? :angel (I've fallen off my reviewing game pretty badly, but I'd still like to see it if you have any.)

Sorry to hear that times have been rough for you. :neutral It's great to see you back, though!

Pangy! Geez, how long has it been? You've still got Vampire-Spike as your avatar!  :DD

I know you told me about the critter, but I forgot what it was called. :DD

Indeed, I've made a few more pixelly thingies. I think I might make another thread to repost some of 'em. Same old same old; mostly sprites of the Horned King.

Although I have started up doing a few sprites of a particular video game character who shall remain nameless, for the time. He's kinda worked his way into my favorite characters list, along with all those other fiendish fiends...  :smile

How has everyone been! All trouble aside, I've been well.  :lol:

The Fridge / Things you like that everyone hates
« on: January 21, 2012, 12:06:59 AM »
Not sure I ever posted on here before... :-/

Alright, so there is this one movie in particular called Battlefield Earth. Everybody hates it, but I thought it was pretty good. Sure, the camera angles might be a bit dizzy at times, but I thought it to be a great movie! And I thought the ending was pretty good, and the acting never bothered me...

Also the Disney's the Black Cauldron. That needs more love...

...

I also think Gothmog from Peter Jackson's adaption of Lord of the Rings: Return of the King was an awesome character, despite looking like a cross between a pig, a potato and a pumpkin...

Old Captions / Creeper Caption 2
« on: October 08, 2011, 02:03:48 PM »
Well, gee. How did he get in THAT position?  :blink:

Either Creeper is becoming a Jedi/Sith Apprentice or said something that clearly ticked the Horned King off. Either way, let your imagination run wild with this one...  :nyah

After years of enduring the abusive tendencies of the Horned King, Creeper had finally gotten fed up with it all. As a little form of revenge, Creeper decided to anonymously send the Kaizo Mario Romhack to the Horned King.

Sure, it was amusing at first, watching the Horned King bopping his head into invisable coin blocks, reaching the finish point only to realize that you had to push the blue 'P' Switch in order to cross over the pit of death that awaits every unsuspecting player. In general, Creeper found great pleasure in watching the Horned King slowly going cuckoo while playing through the evilest torture known to mankind.

Unfortunately, the Horned King eventually found out who Mr. Anonymous was, and showed them absolutely no mercy...

Three Words: Kaizo Mario World

(Lots of cookies for those who get the joke.  :rolleyes: )

(I would post a link to one of YouTube User ProtonJon's videos, but, seeing as how the videos contain alot of "F" words, I shall avoid doing so.. But those videos of him playing through "Kaizo Mario World" are gold.  :lol:)

Gigantic image coming up, don't know how to shrink!  :unsure:

The Horned King isn't the only overly serious disney villain that is fun to caption. I've come to realize that Judge Claude Frollo is quite fun to pick on as well..  :D

Seriously, why are characters like that so fun to pick on? Is it their attitude? The way they're so serious(Why so serious?)? Or is it something completely different..?  :rolleyes:

Gosh, though! Look at that face! Does that look like a very friendly face to you? It had to be captioned!  :lol:

"Do not strangle till Christmas"  :lol

Anyway, I'm back with some more pixel stuff! Unlike the sprites, however, I now come with Portraits..

I was browsing DeviantArt for a good tutorial on how to draw on MSPaint. The closest thing that I could find was an Avatar/Portrait Tutorial for an online game called Furcadia(I've actually played it before, but not in a loooong time). It turned out that tracing pictures on MSPaint is one of the steps, so I don't feel as guilty..  :lol: Alas, I could not add any shading to the portraits featured below because I know what will happen: I try shading them, and they'll turn out sucky..  :unsure: Still, shaded or not, I'm pretty proud with the result.

Hmm.. The Ozzy and Strut one's look like they could fit in together..

So after reading the tutorial, I decided to do the Horned King.. He is really easy when it comes to tracing things like that..  :blink:

Then after that, I decided to try re-coloring him so that he had a similar appearance to how he looked in Mickey Mouse and the Land of Illusion. Turns out he actually looks deader then normal(which is very abnormal considering the fact that he looks pretty dead when alive!) and looks a bit ghostly. After re-coloring him, I really like the new colors! :)

Finally! A more familiar face! Two faces, actually..

Yep, Ozzy and Strut. This time, I think I've improved ALOT on Ozzy's coloration(Remember how he was always a lighter gray and a darker gray before?) I actually started on Ozzy last night, but couldn't finish him because it was very late and I had to get some sleep. So after waking up, I hopped back onto the Computer and finished him. Then after that, I decided I would do Strut as well, because where would Ozzy be without Strut?  :lol

Found the starday topic, Pangy  :D

Thank you very much, jansenov, Pterano, Kor, vonboy, LBTDiclonius, Nimrod, Malte279 And Pangaea! Thank you lots and lots!  :D

Hehe, I can honestly say that I didn't expect that picture that you drew, Pangy..  :lol:

Aww, I don't care what hat Davy Jones is wearing, He's still cute.  :smile

Hopefully Creeper hasn't had the chance to see the Horned King with the birthday hat.  :p  :DD

As for the two Egg-Stealer Brothers? Now Ozzy has something else to worry about, besides Strut's food preference.  :lol  :p

Aside from going down to the beach for the 4th of july and for my birthday, not much has really happened..  :huh:  Little Niece slept over for the night, though.  :D

Aside from swimming, and getting a little bit of sunburn on an otherwise gloomy day, I also got to watch a few movies while at the beach(Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, The Lion King II, The Rescuers Down Under, The Hobbit.. The Haunting.. Deep Blue Sea.. Didn't get the chance to watch Lake Placid..  :blink: ). And of course, go on the lap top for a few.  :p

Also been watching the news on the Casey Anthoney stuff, which lead to complete and utter disappointment unfortunately.. :( But that's for another thread.  :p

As for gifts and cake? Alas, niether..  :unsure:  Unless you count the random shaver that I got in the mail as a birthday present(don't ask)..  :lol

Again, I thank you all very much for the happy birthday wishes :)
