The Party Room / What Would They Do?

If he/she is child dinosaur... Then of course Littlefoot make him/her friends, while Cera grumbles about how many longnecks became their friends but no single other child male or female threehorn!
If he/she is adult dinosaur... Then of course Littlefoot will meet him, Grandpa would start gentle warm talk, while Topps grumbles about how many longnecks come to valley, hoping he/she won't bring disaster to valley like Doc.

Aaaand... I repeat "my" question, since it wasn't answered:

What would the Gang of Seven (Littlefoot & Co) do if they found themselves face to face with Don Bluth, Steven Spielberg, & George Lucas?
Glad I got a response, but I also want to know- what would the reaction
of the Valley be to such a massive visitor? I mean, a dinosaur like Amphicoelias would
surely make everyone stare in awe, even making Littlefoot's grandparents seem
pretty small in comparison.

In this game, the objective is to answer the previous poster's question and then ask your own.
Oh, I see. Forgot about the last part.
So for my question-
What if an Amphicoelias dinosaur came to the Great Valley?
(In case anyone doesn't know, it's a sauropod that has little fossil
remains, but could possibly be the largest dinosaur ever discovered,
possibly reaching lengths of over 150 feet long.)

What would the gang do if they saw themselves as adults?
That's a good question. I'd think that at first they may not recognize their adult
selves, but when they do, they would be in awe at how enormous they will be
someday.

Silver Screen / Commercials that you hate
« on: March 27, 2017, 11:04:36 AM »
Well, I try to look for commercials that are funny, musical, and overall are fun
to watch. One of my favorites growing up was the commercials that mixed live action
and animated characters together.
Anyway, on with the commercials I don't like-
I have the same feeling many on this topic have about commercials for weight loss.
Many, if not most, of them are just fraudulent ads playing on one's desire for an
"easy and quick fix" to lose weight.
Also, another ad that irritates me is the "clinically proven" claim. They just slap that
on the ad without explaining much why it is "clinically proven". The fact that there are
so many products with the label of "clinically proven" or "doctor recommended" just
makes the claim meaningless. It's just a marketing term that has no strict definition.

Also, the fact that SO many ads for new movies have increasingly touted that the film
is the "number one film" or "number one genre" of the year, without giving much
info as to why. (Seriously the "critics are raving about this film" claim is just a marketing
method to entice people to go see it, and it makes me skeptical about how good the
film is.

Silver Screen / Supreme Leader Snoke
« on: March 27, 2017, 08:07:19 AM »
I understand some of these responses are meant to be jokes, but I expected replies to be
about what they thought about Snoke and who he could be (in the Star Wars canon) in a plausible and serious manner, not in a joking manner. Nevertheless, I do agree, Snoke does bear
some resemblance to Voldemort.
I encourage those who reply to also talk about what impression Snoke left
on them. Did you enjoy his character, anyone?

By the way, I decided to make up lines for what Snoke might say in Star Wars 8:
The Last Jedi. Here they are:
. “Good work, my apprentice (Kylo Ren). Soon you will find yourself more experienced in the way of the Dark Side and the Light, in the Force.”

.“Yes, the scavenger. I sense she is the new Jedi that Skywalker is training. We must be prepared to strike against them to insure no further Jedi will come to be.”

. “We are closer than before to crushing the Resistance. There will be little time when there will be no one other than Skywalker and his apprentice to oppose us.”

Did you enjoy my Snoke lines? If so, please respond.

And if anyone is wondering, I do not believe that Snoke is Plagueis, but I have
theorized that Snoke may have met and personally known Plagueis, and may have
learned a few things from him, and vice versa.

Silver Screen / Supreme Leader Snoke

I’ve decided to start a little discussion about Supreme Leader Snoke, the Big Bad of the sequel trilogy of Star Wars. Now while you are free to talk about what you thought of Snoke, this is not necessarily to debate who he is. You can write your ideas down of who he is and his backstory, but if you want to say you believe in the most popular Snoke theory: that he is Darth Plagueis, you’re welcome to.
Since seeing Force Awakens, I found myself fascinated with Snoke, the enigmatic
leader of the First Order and Kylo Ren's master. He may have had just several minutes
of screentime, but he left an impression on me. I can't wait to see more of Snoke's character
in the next film this December.

1988 Theatrical Release / A remake could actually happen.
« on: March 25, 2017, 12:47:32 AM »
Okay, I'll be honest but also gentle and somewhat open- I'm not a fan of remakes.
Like many commentators before me on this discusion, I just don't think remakes are
necessary most of the time, unless the original is forgotten or turns out to not really be
good. Original films that have proven to be great and have a good reception don't
need remakes. The string of remakes in recent years, especially Disney's live action
remakes (I'm looking at you Disney) has shown that there's not a lot of original ideas and
Hollywood feels the need to remake many films that were already successful and doesn't need
a remake. (Of course, a remake of a little-known film is an idea I'm open to.)
I don't dislike all remakes, though. I decided to check out the Jungle Book remake
and I admit it was decent and pretty well-made. However, this remake came out almost
50 years after the 1967 original. How much time passes between the original and remake
plays a factor in how a good a remake is.
So, anyway I don't support the idea of an LBT remake. It just wouldn't be the same. Sure
there are ideas for an "updated" remake, but I don't think that's a good reason. The first
LBT may have had some flaws, but the story was timeless. Its message of anti-racism
and working together is an eternal message.

Silver Screen / Moana
« on: March 24, 2017, 10:50:51 AM »
I was anticipating Moana as soon as I heard about it. I watched it with my
cousin Emily in theaters and I loved the story, the faithful depiction of Polynesian
culture and mythology, and the songs. It was here I learned Dwayne Johnson,
otherwise The Rock, could sing so well.

Silver Screen / My MLP O.C. (not a pony)
« on: March 24, 2017, 10:35:28 AM »
I originally thought of posting this on the MLP thread, but then I decided making this topic
would have more responses. So here's my story...
After seeing episodes of Generation 4 of My Little Pony, I found myself wondering about the
greatness of the show. Then Discord came along and I cracked a lot at his amusing antics
and the fact that he's a made up creature that is so well done fascinated me. His species,
a "draconequus" would have great potential if there was another draconequus.

So I created my own draconequus O.C. His name is "Blithe", an old word that traditionally
means "happy or lighthearted in spirit". This contrasts with Discord's mischievous character. Anyway, Blithe is a draconequus younger than Discord. His head is horse-like, like Discord,
but his eyes are white with green irises instead of yellow with red irises. He lacks a goatee, and while Discord has an antler and a goat horn, Blithe has identical horns of a gazelle. His head is pale, he has rather scruffy brown hair, he torso is that of a red dragon, his right arm is also of a red dragon, and his left arm is of a fox. His right leg is a kangaroo's, left leg is a wolf's and the tail is shaped like that of an alligator's tail.
Blithe, being a draconequus, possesses reality-bending powers, but his magic is not on
the same level as Discord's "near-omnipotent" magical abilities. One of his specialties
is turning water into lemonade (Blithe is fond of this drink), making candy grow on trees,
and producing floating orbs of light, often for show. The things he cannot do which
Discord has been shown to do include Replication, Hypnosis, and opening portals to
other dimensions.
Before he met the Mane 6 and Discord, Blithe had come from a place beyond Equestria,
hoping to make friends and demonstrate his magic to help and to entertain others. Blithe wasn't mischievous and looking for trouble unlike Discord. He finally met the Mane 6 and they introduced him to Celestia, who arranged for Blithe to meet and get to know the
citizens of Equestria. Knowing that Blithe could be useful as an ally for Equestria, Discord
and Twilight Sparkle both agree to train Blithe to help him learn more skills in magic
and expand his powers. The fact that Discord and Twilight trained Blithe, both being
one of the most powerful users of magic in Equestria, made him able to do things he
previously could not have done. Of course, Blithe never becomes as powerful as Discord,
but he is content in his abilities.
Well that's my O.C. for MLP.

some of the impressions i've done include gollum from LOTR. The Joker from the Darlk Knight, and Christopher Lee. I've been told my Joker impression is downright creepy, its so accurate
I've tried doing Gollum too. At times my impressions do sound a lot like Gollum.

The Fridge / Voice acting
« on: March 23, 2017, 01:21:09 AM »
I've been interested in the art of voice acting for a long while. Some of the more notable voice
actors/actresses I learned about are Frank Welker, Jim Cummings, Tara Strong, Rob Paulsen, and
Tim Curry.
I've tried doing some voice acting myself, and I think I am pretty good at it.
The characters I have done impressions on include Goofy (I can do a good Goofy laugh),
a hillbilly-like character I made up, Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, and even Emperor
Palpatine from Star Wars.
What I learned while doing impressions and looking up information on voice acting is
that while voice acting not only do you change your voice for a character, but you also
adopt the personality and mannerisms for the character you're acting for. My uncle,
who is a big Star Wars fan, said I matched Palpatine's character quite well when
doing an impression of the Sith Lord.
Have you ever tried voice acting? Let me know.

The Fridge / Why do people obsess about zombies?
« on: March 22, 2017, 07:57:37 PM »
Okay, so I came back here to show my own kind of zombie.
While I'm not a fan of zombies, I do enjoy studying creatures from horror folklore and
I recently have been looking up and learning about the origins of zombies.
I've decided to create my own kind of zombie to show my creativity. Now I won't make
it too glory or bloody, since I don't watch that kind of stuff, but more psychologically
scary or thrilling. Here it is-
The "Liver-eating Zombies".

These zombies are a rather different kind than the familiar undead monsters that
seek out people. While these are reanimated corpses like the familiar brain-eating zombie,
these zombies do not eat brains nor people. Rather, they seek out animals and prey upon
them for their liver. These zombies are physically weaker than people, but have cunning
tactics to work together to catch animals. They favor eating the liver, hence their name.
While they may not be much of a danger to people, they have been known to seek
out pets such as cats and dogs and therefore anyone living in a town close to a
cemetery that may become cursed must be cautious not to let their pets get too close
to the aforementioned cemetery.
What do you think?

he's not at all like Cera's dad (bleah).
