I just spotted a little reference to the land before time in a political satire show which I really like to watch. They brought something about the NPD (a nazi party) in Sachsen Anhalt, a Bundesland (German equivalent to a state or district) under the headline:
"In einem Bundesland vor unserer Zeit" with a dinosaur figure next to it.
The German title of LBT would be "In einem Land vor unserer Zeit" (In a land before our time), so the joke basically was that those nazis are really not to be considered part of our time anymore ;)

^ If that were only true and the Neo-Nazi factor didn't exist.

That's funny. xD

But unfortunately there are many people in Germany who are still Nazis. And there are also people who will never change their mind...

However, the NPD party will never win. As far as I know, they only get around 1% of the votes ( but in some federal states they even managed to outreach the 5% hurdle).

Oh, it wasn't a pretense that nazis didn't exit. In German there are a number of time related phrases that do not suggest that something doesn't exist anymore but that people are stuck in a time or views that do not belong into our time anymore. For example nazis are often referred to as "Ewiggestrige" which could be roughly translated as "eternal yesterdayers". In English too something utterly out of time or a politician with extremely backward views might be referred to as a "dinosaur". That (rather than any pretense that nazis and their criminal ideologies did not exist) was the joke in that show. Here is the image by the way with the Mark reading "In einem Bundesland vor unserer Zeit":

Hahahaha!  :lol So, it has become a part of popular culture. You know that I'm more used to the name In einem Land vor unserer Zeit than to The Land Before Time.
